good morning welcome to the eight o'clock in the morning update of hurricane iron well thank God the hurricane is behind us um the water has receded and now is when the real work starts unfortunately we still don't have power we don't have running water and there's a lot a lot of damage people have in the houses water four feet up so unfortunately people are very very upset and very emotionally distraught there's a lot of housing that needs a floors uh paint um there's no people don't have food people don't have what to drink there's no electricity so obviously now is when the real work for us is to start to help people give them a place of sleep give them something to eat help them get their house fixed up the noise that you hear around here is everyone has chainsaws everyone's cutting the trees that fell down putting them in the sauce side because the one of the biggest issues you can't go through the roads because all four broken trees so we're seeing a lot of cleanup today and let's hope and pray that we do this all together we bring people food we bring people um something to drink we bring people some place to sleep we help people fix up their houses clean up the debris and there's a lot of damage here and God's willing we will succeed in making Fort Myers beautiful once again thank you so much good morning here we have Brad here Brad is a neighbor he's going to tell us a little about the hurricane what happened at the hurricane wasn't very good I mean we had intense winds we got four inches of water all the way up in our house in the house in the house yeah so and the water went out it's all receded now yeah we squeezed as much as we could out of the house how were the damage we'll see we'll see uh physical damage really nothing you know the wind the roof is fine luckily uh it's just water damage right now um so we'll see but all right you're a good neighbor have a good attitude and everything look great thanks sir all right have a good day thank you
