welcome to this week's class in we're going to be learning a beautiful discourse in the re the name of the discourse is called the Reb said this discourse on Tuesday we know Tuesday is a day that says they're comforting in their salvation but the truth is they are comforting and they all salvation and like it's brought down in cabala it says that it's called yeah it looks like it's it's it's the opposite but the fact is it's all sweetened and but and since the salvation and the Redemption the future Redemption is going to come by sweetening the judgments and that's why when Messiah comes the from the Patriarchs Y is going to be the main one and like it says clearly in the tal that in the future M comes they're going to say in reference to you're our father because but on the other hand which is severity but it's going to be sweetened and therefore all the the the salvations in the book of yesaiah so the there's there's some of them which are salvations and comfort that's revealed and then you have some that are that are that look like the but they're sweetened and know words a severity that's transformed to kindness which is actually higher than kindness on its own and the same thing also in reference to the prophet Prophecy in the beginning of the book that you have two ideas you have these two ideas and that's why it says and like it's going to be explained at length in this discourse is explained in the discourses which are titled like this this title and the discourses of the Al and old afterwards that um this verse it's speaking about two different levels two different levels what are two levels he explains as follows when it says so what does mean that means even though we're in Exile and um and you have to be redeemed we're in Exile we're going to be redeemed but but nevertheless um you're not in a place where you're held captive so therefore the way to redeem It Is by by Mish so one is again we're we're in Exile yes we're not we're not we're not general the revealed parts of the Soul which they do get En clothed in the body which is called the foot so to speak of the Soul so so so since we're dealing with two different levels of the soul the soul that does not get internally involved in the body but the soul that does get involved in the body so that's why it says so is referring to what the soul which is again the the internal part of the heart and on this level it there's no room to be a captive and the the the the um and to be committed to anything opposite of Hashem and what is it basically it's an exile and then you have the part of the Soul which gets involved in the body which unfortunately become a captive and that's why he says sh the part of the Soul becomes a captive you need you need to give charity that even in the levels of the soul that get involved in in the body which is so to speak cap it's held captive literally um in the opposite side of Holiness the way you redeem it is what through charity okay so what did explain so far before we get deeper into it that when it says mean is referring to the soul there's one part that does not get internally involved in the body it's the higher part and then the one that gets involved the one that gets when one that's that does not get involved in the body so it's not so it's in gas we're in gas but it's not hell's a captive the way to redeem It Is by to on the other hand the part of the soul that gets involved in the body it's l held captive it's a prisoner of the body the way to read redeemed that is through what through charity okay so now to in this verse and like the like the says that when you say so the commentary say that it's referring to is referring to a city or the older Jewish people there was someone say it's hard to say that and he says no C is referring to the Jewish people why I could see as a sign and when a when a person what's revealed in the person what gets revealed is the inner heart then you're a sign what do you mean you're a sign you're just like a sign you're like a nothing in other words basically we're just we're just an advertisement we're a sign for so means that when we're standing in the right space when we're just representing Hashem we're just assigned for hem we're just marketing for Hashem okay now this Insight of the that is referring to not Zion Israel but is referring to us when we're just affects the soul on top of the body and like it says clearly hm says return Jewish people to because because you you stumbled in your sin in other words where you stumbl you stumble on your feet you fell down with your feet and like we know that you Str the Jewish people that one fell is the names of Leroy in other words so even though you fell in your feet but it affects the head of the soul and Soul that's above the body gets redeemed through uh through learning tah and the part that comes into the body gets redeemed through charity so it applies at all three levels of sh Andes is referring to the world which is space sh is referring to year which is time and nefes is referring to the soul now so he goes through each one in the level of nefes the Soul so you have the way it's in every single person individually and then you have the way it's in the global Jewish Community why because the fact is every single person is is is a full world so therefore everything that happens to an individual affects the whole Jewish people and everything of the Jo Jewish people affects the individual now what does that mean every single Jewish person from his spiritual work of of of of learning to so through that you go ahead and see you take you take the soul out of it of where it's stuck and you redeem it and by doing mitv you go ahead and redeem you you redeem so that's like we learned because when you do when you do a Mitzvah you're doing yes you're doing the physical Mitzvah and you're elevating the physical world but you but you do it by also by by by by by the the by by by being redeemed obviously you need to have prayer which is basically the the the strand of of of serving hem like we explained before at length now when a person does their spiritual work in these three areas now in the previous generations so it says um as if you redeem me and like the AL explains T just referring to our personal Redemption but now Mia is standing right behind the wall and do to to to to to the side of meritorious and will create for ourselves true salvation and true Redemption that will have will redeem our soul in peace and we hasem and his children from the nations
