How can we take off Negative Karma from us? Rabbi Minkowicz Torah Lesson Parsha Va’etchanan

welcome to this week's torah lesson this week's torah portion is pasha's verse the question of the week is how can we take off negative karma from us so in this week's torah portion parcel we learn about moisture abner trying to go into the land of israel so the torah portion begins there's now what does verstrollen mean so he says one of two things either reaching out to hashem and asking our son to give him a gift to allow him to go into the land of israel another interpretation rashi says is that he prayed to our center they should go into the land of israel so the question is is moisture being asking for a gift to go into the land of israel or is it a prayer so the river explains as follows we know that there was a decree against moisture obeying that he could not go into the land of israel now the question is if there's a decree against you could a decree be taken off through prayer so the talmud says that the only way a decree that's put upon somebody a negative decree can be come off through prayer if it's something that that is affecting the community not personally so the question is who is moisture one opinion is the moisture mainly represents the jewish people that's who he was he was the leader of the jewish people so based on that he was praying to hashem and the power of prayer can take off a negative decree on the other hand mushroom sinned individually so based on that the prayer wouldn't help and that's why the the other insight is that he had to reach out not through prayer but asking himself as a gift because a gift always works you can say gosh yes this is the creator please give me a gift so the answer the question how can we take off negative karma from us so if it's something that was brought upon somebody that represents the community so you can pray but if not you can always reach out to hashem and ask him to give you a gift to take off the negative karma let's hope and pray we either pray to hashem ask ourselves for our gift and all the negativity can go away we can only experience positive positivity and happiness in our lives thanks so much for joining us for our weekly torah lesson this week's torah lesson is dedicated to memory of barack van impe late shalom and joseph and rachel maslipa may their souls be elevated by the torah we're studying in the memory thanks again for joining us for more information please see our website khabareswf.org have a great and blessed week shavuot in regards to this beautiful land of israel right here in jerusalem
