so God's willing this Sunday we're going to be taking off from Miami going to Israel more than 20 rabbis including two from Southwest Florida are heading to the war zone in Israel comes as the state department warns its embassies to review security and all Americans to be alert if they go abroad yeah certainly a brave mission to do this right now NBC 2's Ashley Graham is speaking with Rabbi minkowitz about how he hopes to help people devastated by the war it's a holy place it's a great place and so it breaks your heart to see what's going on there moved by stories of suffering in Israel Rabbi yits minkwitz is preparing to visit in just a few days it actually started just under a week ago we all said we got to do something we were doing stuff in the community people were rallying we were praying and studying and people doing good deeds and then we said it's time to show up to Israel and we are showing up minkwitz is part of a group of 20 rabbis from the US and Canada leaving for Israel on Sunday taking with them messages of Hope beautiful cards this is all handmade art stuff from our community this is all original art and look at the beautiful cards that the children have made he says they plan to visit hospital patients and families on the ground they're also bringing supplies for soldiers generally speaking anything that we can buy in Israel we're taking funds to buy it in Israel and give it out there Toys food all that stuff we can buy there but there's a certain list of items that the soldiers requested which is actually authorized by the Army what's eligible we can take it the rabbis also plan to give out donations directly to families in Israel families in Southwest Florida can still donate to their Israel emergency relief fund during the rabbis trip and if the conflict continues after they return on Friday the Rabbi says future trips may be planned and God's willing the miracle will happen the world will be over and if we have to go back again we'll go back again you would be willing to go back absolutely reporting in Fort Meers for NBC 2 I'm Ashley GR
