Why did you think reaching the ultimate levels of connection to God shouldn't take any time? Could simply be done with a little pill or a little drink or a little puff. Why did you think that makes any sense? Because you weren't thinking with your Torah hat. You were thinking with your lust hat. The same lust and gluttony and overindulgence that took over you when it came to food, when it came to money, when it came to morality, issues of promiscuity, issues of between him and her.
