The Most Important Part of TeShuva

That's why one of the most important things to do in chuvah is to make yourself a rabbi. Without making yourself a rabbi, your chuvah is going for a rocky ride. You're not going to know what to do and like I said in earlier today in the um in the Gemara, it actually talks about somebody that wants to be their own rabbi. Somebody wants to be their own rabbi, the Gemara Maseches Yevamos says, you want to be your own rabbi, you want to make your own halachos, you want to make your own thing, just read the book and decide for yourself what it means. Just so you know, in Shamayim, Hashem hates you. You keep Shabbos, you keep taharas mishpacha, you keep kashrus, you keep everything, but it's God hates you. Why does he hate you? Because you're such a ga'avtan, you're so prideful, you're not even willing to double-check if you're right or wrong. Meaning, you could be Esav for 7 years and not even know it. You could do something wrong for 7 years without even knowing it. Who do you think you are going to not listen to anybody? Go to the local rabbi. He's studied his whole life, not like you for 6 months. Not like you for 6 years. He's studied his whole life. Double-check. Maybe you're wrong. Maybe you're wrong. If you're wrong, it means chayim u'mavet, it can be life or death. You're so confident in yourself? Have to make yourself a rabbi. This is Gemara Maseches Yevamos, page 109b.
