thanksgiving = idol worship

Is it allowed to celebrate Thanksgiving? Not for Jews. Um I have David Yosef the Rishon LeZion had [snorts] a lecture a couple of years ago explaining that the Thanksgiving not only has a uh uh uh connection to Christian ideology idolatry, but also it's considered chukot haGoyim because they celebrate it every year for religious reasons at the at the same time. So, it's completely forbidden uh for the Jews. And even the few poskim that uh that said it would be allowed for a Jew to to eat turkey you know on that day, they only allowed it to be done once in a lifetime, meaning not to be done every year or anything like that. So, certainly it's not a uh it's not for the Jews to to celebrate. If you want to eat turkey, you could eat turkey any day of the year.
