Rabbi Yehuda Fetaya, alav ha-shalom, writes a in his book there are several things that a person can do to clean out the tumah that's in his mind. So, for example, there are certain times that the the stuff that you've seen in your life that's not so kosher is going to appear in your mind. And like I told you, it's going to be the worst times. It's not going to be the best times. It's going to be the worst times. You saw an immodesty at some point, you're going to think about this immodesty when? The worst possible times, when you're praying to Hakadosh Baruchu. So, you're crying to Hakadosh Baruchu to give you salvation, to give you a kid, to give you parnassah, to give you this, give you that. And what are you thinking about? You're thinking about some movie that you saw when you were 16 years old, and Hashem yerachem how it ended. That's when you're thinking. So, who wants this? This is the worst thing in the world to think about. But that's when the Satan comes. Same thing with marriage and so on and so forth. So, Rabbi Yehuda Fetaya says that if you have bad thoughts, there's a few things that you can do. There's a pasuk that you can say uh for the purpose of this conversation, I'll just leave it till the end. I'll give you guys the pasuk in person. Uh and you can say this pasuk, and that helps with or two pesukim, that helps with cleaning out your mind short term. But that's if you're doing something holy. If you're praying, if you're studying, not if you're just uh you know, roaming around. Um the second thing is in regards to I guess the the thought process that a person can have is the Gemara Maseches Berachos says, yetzer hara comes, say so, learn some Torah. That doesn't work, say Krias Shema. Say Shema Yisrael. Realize there's a God above you. That's not enough, think about the day you die. Think about the day you're going to die. Why? Cuz once you die, it's not a walk in the park. You don't know when you're going to die. Baruch Hashem, we have a few shiurim about it. Rabbi Zidichon has a few shiurim about it. You can read about it, you can learn about it, and you understand that the day that you die there's a deed to pay, and you don't want to have you want to you don't want to have too much of a deed. You don't want to have too much of a bill.
