Where do we see this in our day-to-day life? Because many people say, "Rabbi, I watch your lectures, I get hisuk. I wish I learned this EVERY DAY." YOU DO LEARN THIS EVERY DAY, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION. But sometimes we don't pay attention because we're so and so hurry to get to life that we forget what we're doing. All the crime usually happens in private. That's why in our in our every day says, we should always have fear of heaven same thing in private as we do in public. Why would I admit? Why admit to THE TRUTH? ADMIT IF YOU'RE DOING IT. DO YOU HAVE AS MUCH FEAR OF HEAVEN in private as you do in front of your rabbi? They kiss the hand, they hug this, that. 5 minutes later he's yelling at his wife. 5 minutes later he's even slapping her. 5 minutes later she's insulting her husband, CALLING HIM A LOSER. WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE TORAH that you had 15 MINUTES AGO? OH, YEAH, THAT WAS FOR THE TORAH. THIS IS FOR MY HUSBAND. What do you think your your husband is not Torah? You think your wife is not Torah? You think your kids are not Torah? A person has to HAVE BOTH IN PRIVATE and in public, and he has to admit to the truth. Meaning, I have problems. So, let's see. If I have problems, let's first check my shamayim. Let's check my fear of the almighty odometer. Do I have fear of the almighty at all? Most people have something, or at least they portray that they do. If they're religious, they have a keepah, they keep Shabbat. Usually they portray something. Do I have as much in private as I do in public? Because in public, when I'm with my wife, I don't look at other girls. But do I I look at girls when my wife is not around? When the computer is on and it's 2:00 in the morning and I'm bored? Do I also not look at girls? Do I pretend that I'm honest in business or am I really honest in business? UNTIL you can figure out what YOU DID YESTERDAY, DON'T WORRY SO MUCH about so far away previous life. Why? Cuz I could assure you, yesterday you did something wrong. Why don't you try to FIX THAT? WHY DON'T YOU TRY TO FIX TODAY? PERHAPS PREPARE FOR TOMORROW. If a person is honest, they're not worried about their previous life. Why? They're worried about today. How can I fix today? How can I be better today? Yesterday, uh last week, the week before that, as Shem is small, 5 YEARS AGO, I WAS LIKE A HALF AN APE. A PERSON DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.
