Defend Your Reputation

What about defending your reputation or character? Well, it depends what you mean. Uh if uh there there there is a mitzvah that uh to be uh clean in the eyes of Hashem and also people. Which means that if let's say people are uh accusing you of uh stealing something and you did not steal, it's not only uh s- good for you to uh to know that oh, I didn't steal, so God knows I didn't steal. If you have a way to prove to show people that you didn't steal by showing them video evidence, uh showing them all types of different proofs that you're not a thief, in essence you are uh showing that you're pure in the eyes of people, then that's also a mitzvah. Uh so, to clean your name up that way is actually a mitzvah from a mitzvah. Uh but if you're talking about defending your reputation in other ways, uh that depends what your reputation is. Uh but uh if if people let's say accuse you of being uh a criminal of some kind and you have uh and you're not a criminal and you have a way to show it to prove that you're not a criminal, that's a mitzvah. Sure, you have to show that you are not a criminal if people accuse you of it. Uh but if you're talking about uh something else, uh defending your reputation in other ways, it depends. Depends what you mean by that.
