Chabad Wouldn't Tell Him The Truth About Shabbat

If you're scared of the truth, it's better you leave. Why? Right now, this person's life's on the line. His eternity is on the line. He's going to get an answer that he's not going to get from when I was 13, I got born mitzvah. Okay. And I just went to shul like on Russer after that all those years till I was 22. And then my mom passed away and I decided to go to the shul every day for a year. Okay. And there was this amazing rabbi that said to me, "The more you give, the more you're going to make." So I was 22 at that time. I'm 71 now. Every year I gave more. Every year I made more. But when it comes to tzeddaka, I give the same four Chabad rabbis tzedakah every year. Okay? And they one or two of them know that I'm very very successful. And I told them they're in my will and what they're going to get. And they want to know like, why don't you do it now while you're alive and really enjoy where the money's going to go? And I I can't do it. And probably I'm giving way less than 10% or 20% of what I make. I became very successful and I'm kind of stuck. And after hearing what you said today, I did very honest business. I don't keep Shabbat. I work on Shabbat. I do good deeds and all of that, but I'm stuck with the money. I'm stuck where I'm having the money. I'm going to die with a lot of money and I can't give it away. Where do I start? What do I need? So, the good news is good. Please, please, if you can't stay quiet, please. It's a very serious question which will have a very serious answer. If you're not willing to pay attention, if you're scared of the truth, it's better you leave. Why? Right now, this person's life's on the line. His eternity is on the line. He's going to get an answer that he's not going to get from Chabad. With all due respect for all of the tzedakah that you've given, I don't care about your money. So, I'm going to give you an answer that's going to help you and not your bank account. If you die tomorrow, you're not going to heaven even though you gave a lot of tzedakah. And the reason why is because did not command you to give tzedakah over keeping the rest of his. If you remember the ten commandments, everybody saw the ten commandments first says HaShem is god, right? Don't use his name in vain. Don't uh uh worship idols. The fourth commandment is keep shabbat. That's the fourth commandment. So you have to understand that you as a Jew today that is not keeping Shabbat, you're not in a good position. And you can change that just like that for free. For free. Doesn't cost you a penny to keep Shabbat. You're already a multi-millionaire. You don't need to work on Shabbat. The fact that you have four rabbis that have not told you to keep Shabbat means they're not doing their job. They all told me that they have to enforce you to keep Shabbat. Have not even got me to wrap tefillin for a year. Not enough. You have to keep Shabbat. My dear friend, my dear brother, I love you. I'm telling you, you have to keep Shabbat. Why you want to go to Gan Eden? You want to go to Ganed Eden. This is not Ganed. With all the money in the world, it's not Ganed. At some point, it ends. You have to keep Shabbat because that is going to be your ticket more than all the taka in the world. So before you think about giving another penny to anybody, start caring about your nishama. Not your bank account, not their bank account, not any bank account. Start worrying about your nama before it becomes too late. There's a guy, it's a real story that came out just a few years ago. I heard it from Kit. Guy had somewhere around $100 million in uh money. Lot of money. I don't know if it's more than you, less than you. doesn't really make much of a difference but $100 million according to all accounts a lot of money and he similar to a lot of people respected Judaism respected the rabbis and the rabbis would come visit him and he would give them 100 year thousand here and he told them listen one day when I die I'm going to give it all to you guys and he told him the same thing give it to us now why wait until you die he goes Oh, listen. I like having the money. I'll give it to you after I die. And they didn't really care if they keep Shabbat. And they didn't really care if he kept kosher. What do they care about? His bank account was really big. It was so big they called him sir. It was so big he put on a three-piece suit. It was so big they shook his hand. It was so big you're a sadik. All of a sudden you're sadik. Why? Cuz you're a big bank count. Guess what? He wasn't any of those. Because to be at you have to keep dua. To be righteous you have to keep dua. There's no such thing as righteous without keeping dua. Doesn't exist. You can call yourself look in the mirror call yourself all day. But if you're not keeping you cannot be a sadik. So a person has to know that who runs the show. And what ends up happening is the guy one day dies like everybody at some point or another dies. And the lawyers call the rabbi who was apparently the uh the trustee. He was supposed to get all the money. You should he was the trustee. So now he gets a call from the lawyer. We have to finalize the inheritance. Come to our office. He comes to the office. He's excited. He's wearing a fourpiece suit this time. his 30-year investment into this guy finally is paying off, right? Shows up at the place, but he sees there's a pastor, there's a priest, and there's a imam and one Buddhist. This guy was a Buddhist. What's going on here? Cuz he brought these people. No, no, the law firm brought them. Why? Why? Why? Why did the law firm bring these people? He says because Thank you. He said because the uh the guy left an inheritance and he says he wants to give the money for the benefit of the Bible. He goes, "Yeah, well, we're the Bible." Goes, "No, according to our understanding, you're the Torah. The priest and the pastor, they're the Bible. So we wanted you to sign off to finalize all $100 million is going to the church. Why did give a hund00 million to the church instead of to a synagogue instead of to a Jewish organization? Do you know why? Because in order to givea you have to have shim. You have to have a merit. HaShem wants to give you that reward. to give tzedakah. That's real tzedakah means that HaShem agrees to give you something in return. Because if you give something that's going to publicize HaShem's name, HaShem, what did he promise? He promised to give you a reward for it. He's not just going to give the reward to just anybody. You have to deserve it. You can't give the kid that doesn't do any of the homework all year the top student of the year award. In order to be the top student of the year award, you have to deserve it. You have to show up on time. You have to do your homework. You have to raise your hand. You have to be polite. You have to do all the different things you have to do in school. Right? You can't just show up once a year and say, "I'm the top student." Says, "You can't just show up and give all, you know, say I'm going to do a big mitzvah and this is going to change the whole world if you only uh care about me, if you only think about me once in your life." So, yeah, I gave you the money, but I'm not going to give you the benefit of that money because you didn't care about me your whole life. Why should I give you the reward for something that had nothing to do with me? So instead of him getting a reward for $100 million in tzedakah, he's got punished still to this day for publicizing $100 million worth of idol worship. So my dear friend, I love you no less than I love any other Jew. I'm here for you. There's a very good chance I came to California just for you. Don't worry about the money. Forget about the money. Forget about the money. Start thinking about your nish. Start keeping this Shabbat. Start keeping the Shabbat. And if there's financial troubles, you can't afford a plat. I'll buy it for you. If you want catering, I'll send you catering to your house if you want. Why? It's much more important for me and for you for you to keep Shabbat. Why? That's your ticket to Ganed. Once you get your ticket to Ganon, then you can start thinking about all the other wonderful things that you could do with the gifts that HaShem gave you. But you need to make sure that first you take over your your own. Once you take care of your nama, everything will be much clearer. Who can give you another 500 years if he wants? Who says you have to die? Who says you have to die? Who says you have to die right now? Doctors. Doctors don't know what they're talking about. Those are those who run the world. You have to start thinking about listen maybe I'm going to live another 500 years. Maybe I'm going to live only one second. Either way I got to start doing. So right now today you say toem I'm going to keep the Shabbat. If you promise you're going to keep the Shabbat right now it's already considered as if you are Shabbat. Why? You're already planning on keeping the Shabbat. What's keeping the Shabbat? Don't work. Don't drive on Shabbat. Don't watch television. Have uh you know your food is uh put on platter. Very simple. I'm sure you know what Shabbat is. You're a smart guy. It's very simple. You do that, you're already on the right track. Once you do that, it was all worth it. It was all worth it. Second part. He's worth the second part. I retired when I was 62. Give me another kid. I continued to make more money every year. Of course, that's the way it works. Retired. Give him money. But the day that I retired, I started playing music all over the world. There was even an article in the Jewish Journal about me. The percussionist with magic hands. I have magic hands. Okay. God gave me a gift. I play music all over the world. I also perform locally every Friday and Saturday night. It's my dream. It's my gift. I give to people. I entertain over a million people a year with my hands playing drums. And I have a harder time giving that up than I do giving the money up. Of course. So I'm stuck both ways because you're not stuck. The convince you that you're stuck. If HaShem wants you to succeed, he doesn't need to do it on your conditions. When I was in business and I made millions of dollars, I thought that's the way to make millions of dollars, right? But a kadosh ended up making me work for free 20 hours a day for a bunch of people that may may or may not appreciate what I do. And guess what? Over the last few years, I gave over $12 million in stock. So I gave more money gave me more money to give without the same career. Don't give a mahu conditions. If he wants you to entertain a million people, it doesn't need to be on Shabbat. It could be on a Tuesday at 2:00 in the afternoon if he wants. It could be on a Monday at 12:30.
