How to Raise Religious Children

work on themselves which means fix their midot learn T make sure that your kids see you learn tah make sure your kids see you pray make sure that the kids see you being happy being religious never talk about Torah or or being a religious Jew in a negative way never talk about how it's expensive or how it's difficult uh you know never talk about these types of things and in front of most kids that don't have the uh the the uh the developed mind yet don't even talk about heritage uh even if you heard it in my that doesn't mean that your kids should know about it it depends again different people different thinks my kids know about it because they live with me and I could answer any one of their questions of who what when how your kids may not be that way your kids May uh I mean you know if it's three years old obviously he's still not level of but the point is if somebody's you know six seveny old kid doesn't really understand what a heretic really is yet don't talk about there being a bad Rabbi that's a heretic because then he's going to think all rabbis are bad so you have to know how to educate the k you have to know how to promote them learning uh number one by them seeing you learn if they see you learn Torah if they see you love the Torah they'll love it also but if they see you just tell them to do it but you don't do it yourself they're going to hate it and even eventually reject it because they say you're a hypocrite it's a uh it's just a reality
