non-religious houses that are watching this series are looking at the issues the matters of intimacy very very differently in fact especially women and men that uh for different reasons have gone to a point where they found the whole aspect of intimacy disgusting repelling uh you know just something that they don't really want to do but sometimes they give in and and so on you there's a lot of unfortunately a lot of issues out there uh but also at the same token different people that are simply become no different than animals or even worse than animals where intimacy to them was simply uh just something that uh was um you know just an instinct uh it didn't matter whether they knew the person or didn't know the person it didn't matter if it was for the sake of uh Pro creation or simply Recreation uh their their bodies became public property uh and uh unfortunately many people uh many more people have gotten to that point in today's world uh than any other time in history but after watching several lectures of this series and we're only about a dozen of them in uh every single person looks at intimacy different and those that actually invested time to learn this and actually uh you know apply some of this stuff to their life have sent me letters and letters and B A lot of great feedback where they simply see things very differently and and the most satisfying thing in the world is when you see somebody that literally just couldn't stand to be together with their spouse for different reasons uh and now looks at it completely differently it is literally save the house and uh it's not one and it's not two and it's not three stories we're talking about bash many different stories even people that were uh committing adultery uh have now uh have now gotone on the on the good train before before it was too late of course uh these are different issues some are more extreme than others but the beautiful thing about this uh series the the the holy torah's teachings uh in regards to intimacy is that it gives you a completely different perspective of what your purpose is in the world not just what your purpose is in the bedroom not just what your purpose is in marriage or as a parent uh but in essence what your purpose is in the world and I highly recommend that anyone that's watching this lecture for the first time this series for the first time after you watch the lecture because this certainly is going to be a lecture for everybody I highly recommend going to the first one and then building up from there and hopefully we'll have the the Divine assistance today to entice people to really go back and learn these lectures again uh so the ran has has taken us on a a completely different track than we've ever been on last week uh or actually really the last couple of weeks where he connected the world of cabala uh into the the uh the regular mundane into the world of day-to-day life into the issues of intimacy but in uh not just telling us about the you know three different levels of of wisdom knowledge uh these are um uh things that certainly many people have heard but the connection that the ramban uh made for us last week in regards to the the um the the cherubs uh simply makes us look at the entire bet mikdash the Holy Temple the service at the Holy Temple very differently than we ever did before certainly makes us look at the uh the depth of each word in the Torah very differently than ever before and it will do the same thing for us today but without really going into the world of cabala hence the reason why I said this particular sh is really for everybody last week's sh I gave you guys a warning it's not for everybody uh because it's just simply had certain things that are not for people that are still uh iffy about their modesty and their uh and their uh promiscuity and simply their mind uh Unfortunately today uh many people have dirtied their mind with so many things that it's hard for them to Fathom some of the basic statements that are made in the Torah whether it's the Covenant that abah made with elzar where he told him you know before he sent him on a trip to go find a wife for his son he told them put your hand under my bit uh you know this is a uh obviously in the world of today somebody say wait so what is this homosexuality what is this uh you know uh molestation what is this what is is going on here obviously these are dirty minds of today to think that way but a holy person like abrah ainu uh it's you know looked at this particular Covenant as the holiest act he can commit simply because you know when you uh the the tradition has always been that when you make a vow when you make a covenant when you make a deal you hold something holy in your hand and just like many people today for example when Jews make a deal sometimes they'll have a mza in their hand or somebody touching the muuza when they make a deal uh in the time of ab ainu he uh made it that he would hold the most valuable thing that he had which is that was the first mitvah that gave him uh his circumcision and we see it again in this week's where yov makes the same Covenant with his son uh ysf where he uh asks him he's 100 47 years old and he tells him I I need you to make a vow uh not just a promise uh but a vow that you're going to bury me in the cave of and of course uh this uh this vow is fulfilled by YF and his brothers but not only after this particular Covenant procedure is taken place now a person that has a dirty mind that has watched pornography that is constantly listening to uh uh and watching rap videos and all types of rock videos a person that's walking around in the world at people you know like a person that's practically just came out of a farm with uh practically bar barely covering their body a person that has no concept of what Holiness is certainly is not going to relate to these things and see just make it look as if it's strange needless to say this is not just a problem in the non-religious world this is also a problem in the religious world where even though they make cover themselves a little more they may wear a beard they may wear a head covering they may even go to Sho every single day but unfortunately the dirty minds also have penetrated that world where you have filth have penetrated practically uh you know every other Home in the world where you see that uh both men and women addicted to all types of immodesty immorality some go as far as watching pornography some watch movies in Hollywood and and and simply have become to uh to what's going on in the world and what's forbidden to us where they start admiring the superstars the movie stars the IM modesty the immorality the adulterous relationships that they see as part of a uh fairy tale scene on a screen they become addicted to Netflix and all types of uh movie subscription companies and unfortunately this is one of the things that is destroying not just the Jewish homes but the World At Large and it's a uh it's a series like this that uh can help a person at least desire to clean up their mind because without it they're simply going to look at the Torah as not holy but rather forign not uh precious but something strange and this is one of the reasons why many of the people that watch our lectures really you know they simply come from all walks of life whether they're coming from Lakewood and M and all the religious neighborhoods in in in America or in England uh or in Israel or in Canada or they're coming to us from you know literally all walks of life completely secular and some people obviously non-jewish at all but once they see the truth that is in the tah they become addicted to it if they're people of truth if they're obviously not looking for truth they're looking for simply the same junk that they watch and everything else usually they don't last more than just a few minutes so the beautiful part about the TW is that it has everything in it all wisdoms that exist in the world which there are seven wisdoms all of it is inside the toah now of course in order for us to extrapolate that wisdom from the Torah which we have the five books of Moses as the basic Foundation then we have the prophets and the writings as the other parts of the written cabala but also we have the oral toah and the oral TOA is the only way that anyone could actually extrapolate the real wisdom from the written tah because this is part of the tradition part of the M of what we got at Mount sa and a person that frowns upon the oral toah or simply does not know it even exist or that it's real is simply not going to ever be able to appreciate the truth of the Torah like they could because all of the wisdoms that you could ever find in the toah are not things that are common man wisdoms they're Divine wisdoms and it certainly requires a lot more than just a high IQ to uh to delve into it and and figure out what they are so the ramban as part of our oral tah one of the great sages over the last 800 years extrapolated this aspect of the Torah in one of his books uh where he's simply giving us all of the secrets all of the great secrets of the act of unity in the intimacy between man and his wife and of course in the world today where you have unfortunately men you know claiming to be women women claiming to be men this is forign to the vast majority of society and therefore I say leave that world for a moment let's get into this particular world this beautiful holy world this untarnished world and be sanctify ourselves just a little bit more so after letting us know about the extraordinary act uh of intimacy that happened inside the BET mikdash through the uh inside The KES kesim between the uh uh the cherubs uh of how they hugged and uh in order to show the affection that hasem has for his people even at the time of Destruction uh now the ramban is going back into the basics and letting us know what is uh really the outcome of all of this what is the point of all this okay great so I can uh create Holiness so I could but at the end of the day uh there's also something else that could sometimes come out like a baby do I want this baby maybe it's too expensive maybe I already have too many maybe I'm too young young maybe I'm too old maybe this maybe that unfort you know unfortunately today people have a little bit too many questions about how they can do something forgetting about the fact that it's only hashm that decides whether you'll be able to do it in the first place so one of the beautiful things that we have here in the ramban is that he gives us the sources he gives us the details of the who what when and how and here we go all the matters that we have spoken of of are in the secrets of the arrangements of the order of the universe and its structure and the analogy of males and females as per the secret of the provider and the receiver of spiritual abundance therefore our sages said that when the union of man with his wife is proper it is in the aspect of Union of Heaven and Earth now here the ran in just a couple of different lines is giving us one of the foundations of the creation one of the foundations of the purpose of life and if one were to pay attention to the details you'll see that there is something that is very much the opposite of reality today of ideology of today which is you know in the world today where you have feminism you know running rampant you know women want to be like men men want to be like women many times people forget their role a few years ago I made a lecture I think it was called something like Know Your Role where we talked about what is the role of a woman in a uh Jewish household needless to say in any household what is the role of a man uh in a Jewish household needless to say in any household uh what is the role Know Your Role and and many people that uh grew up very differently grew up uh the opposite of what the lecture said were uh in the beginning uh annoyed but later on when uh they really delved into the details they realized that it all makes sense and one of the main things that uh you see here from the ramban is that he's telling us that everything that we've spoken about up to this point is all part of this great secret of the provider and the receiver of spiritual abundance Masia is provider is receiver now of course in the physical aspect of it we're all aware that the male the husband at least hopefully the husband is the one that is Mas he is the one that gives his seed and the woman is the one that receives it she's the mus or the now this is not just to tell you about the physiology that uh every couple knows but rather this is to tell you that this is one of the uh great foundations of the way that the world was created now one of the things that uh some uh feminists especially hate about the Torah to the point where sometimes they can't even allow themselves to pray especially if they're part of reformed synagogues that are obviously against the tah uh and don't even believe it's from Heaven they want everything equal they want men and men and women equal they want everything equal they want Jews and non-jews to be equal everything to be equal so what they did in many places is they actually changed the word of the Sid the words of the prayer and and literally words across the the spectrum of the Torah in order to make God female because they can't see themselves praying to a male and they say who told you that God is a male how do you know that God is a male why do you refer to God as a male now one of the reasons that we refer to Hashem as male is because he refers to himself as male so that's enough of a reason for most people with a little bit of common sense now for those that want a little bit more the answer is that hasem is referred to as male because he is the mashia he is the provider he's not the one that is mus he's not the one that's he doesn't get anything from his creation hence the reason why till this day we go against and constantly uh protest uh in our lectures against Heretics like Manis fredman and his students that keep telling you that God needs you because to say that God needs you is antithetical to the Torah it's antithetical to the creation it is literally something that removes a person from the nation of Israel it removes a person from the nation of anything it's simply a person that's considered 100% against the toat to say that God needs you for anything because the whole aspect of God the whole the whole concept of God that he has no body he has no image it's not just that it's that he is the Masia he is the one that provides and he's never the one that's he does not receive anything from us if his creation existed or not he would still be the same if his creation followed his his law or not he still would be the same you do not benefit him or hurt him by doing what he said to do you only benefit yourself if you do it and you hurt yourself ultimately if you don't do it now of course you ask why does he uh uh punish us if he does if we're not hurting him because the whole reason of why Hashem created us in the first place is because he is the ultimate good and good in order for it to be good it has to create good now this is the reason why he created us because he has he wants to create good to give this good to something but at the same token in his ultimate wisdom he also knows that in order for his creation to get the good and actually appreciate the good they have to earn it and not just receive it it's just like for example if you give your kids a present just for waking up every single day just for uh breathing just for saying any word even if the word is not a permissible word just for uh going even if they're going to a place they're not allowed to go then obviously your kids are going to be spoiled little Hitlers that are going to grow up and torture the world aside from just you why because you're giving them things for absolutely no reason and they're going to think that the rest of the world owes them too they're like the entitled generation we live in on the other hand if you reward your kids for doing good things then they're going to little by little know that if they continue on this path of good it is for their own benefit and they'll more likely than not actually continue this path and actually continue earning more good so one of the things that the Creator did is that he gave us a rewards and Punishment system if we do good we get good if we do bad we get bad this is not in this world this is in the ultimate world that's beyond us that's after this life but of course a person will sometimes get different things in this world in order to help him or to to stop him or even uh uh slow him down or her down from doing certain things sometimes a person will actually get an abundance of money as a punishment not as a reward where that money will cause them to leave their spouse that money will cause them to go into Bad Business deals that money will cause them to do all types of things they wouldn't have done had they not had the money uh you could just see the examples of people that have won the lottery and later on called it the biggest curse of their life on the other hand sometimes a person will get a huge reward of money and actually use it for good so the same exact tool can be used for good and for bad the same concept is when it comes to other things in this world but in the ultimate World whatever you get is what you get if you're going to heaven you're going to heaven because it's good if you're going to Gom or you go to kaf there's nothing good about that now of course there are going to be the people that like to use euphemisms and also minimize the rewards and pun punishment system just to appease the public and let them think that Hashem loves everybody no matter what you do even if you're a Hitler or Osama Bin Laden or perhaps even one of the Heretics of the modern day era God will love you anyway this is literally not only against the T it's against logic because it turns God into an evil God you know a God that rewards everybody no matter what and everyone goes to heaven it's and yet has a law uh it contradicts itself why have a law why have a Torah if everyone goes to heaven anyway so this is one of the things that a person needs to understand that not everyone goes to heaven not everyone is going to rewarded if you do what he said to do you will get rewarded eternally if you don't you'll get punished simple now if you have a balance which is everyone uh some good some bad the ra that if you have more good than bad again good in accordance to the definition of the good defined by the Torah versus bad then you'll have to get punished for whatever bad you did but that punishment will ultimately end at some point and then you'll get the good but if you have more bad than good then unfortunately that punishment will not end anytime in the uh near Millennium so the ramban is now telling us that there is this provider we have a provider that is AEM and this concept of of uh Mas and mus is one of the most important Concepts in the Torah in Judaism altogether in the world because if a person simply understood not only their role but the role of different parts of creation from that perspective then they'll understand why there are certain things that happen in the world whether it be in their personal life or in the World At Large and so on so one of the things that uh we see in the uh uh in the tah is that Hashem compares the uh rain the rain to a lot of extraordinary things and in the in there's a whole segment in from page 7A all the way till 8 a whole page and a half or so about this where how hasem calls the rainy season R and uh which is the uh something interesting because it's rain in General gem is not something that many people put so much thought behind unless you're a farmer but the Torah views it very very differently in fact it says that greater is rain than the day that heaven and earth were created that's how great rain is and we're not just talking about a rain that saved your farm or a rain that saved the city or no no any rain any rain out there in the view of the Torah this rain is greater than than creation itself it's greater than mat it's greater than it's literally thear goes one example after another of how amazing rain is when most of us especially if you live in a climate like Florida where it practically rains it seems like every day at some parts of the season it's what's the big deal of rain what is the big deal of rain I mean I can understand that of course it's there there are fruits that come out of it there's vegetables that come out of it and yeah all that's great but greater than creation greater than the uh the day we got the to greater than this I mean greater than so many different things uh that when a person looks at it just from the the basics of the statements alone it's like whoa this I mean it seems like an Overkill like a little bit too much okay I understand rain is great but that great yes that great this all has to do with the Masia and mus the why the reain as I said before in the uh the in chapter n the second also in the we actually just read it this morning with my son that you have a uh a rain season rain season unlike many parts of the world in Israel the uh it doesn't rain all year there are there's a rainy season and uh there uh the talks about how if it doesn't rain during a specific time that it's supposed to rain then uh the community has to decree a fast the sages of the uh Community have to decree a fast they start with a one fast three fast seven fast it goes into up to a total total of 13 fasts depending on how bad the uh the the drought is but uh the point being is that it says that you know this has to happen within specific dates and it talks about how this rainy season it's that this G this rain is what provides this land just like a man provides his wife and when we're talking about rain providing uh uh the land we could easily understand the analogy in a comparison to a man providing his wife it's not talking about money it's not talking about buying her clothes like a man signs on that is one of his three obligations is to provide sustenance for his wife to provide her clothing and shelter and also to provide a cohabitation the cohabitation in a Intimacy in a household isn't in a Jewish household is determined by the wife whenever she wants now of course a good wife will also be together with the husband when he wants to but this is of course all has to do its inside the umbrella of the um Family Purity where you have only parts of the month that you're allowed to be together which we'll discuss later on now the the whole key here is that this gim this this rain is considered a uh so extraordinary and yet at the same time it is being compared to how a man provides his seed to his wife and this is one of the reasons while you'll see many places in the gar which we'll go over in a few moments where AEM compares the act of intimacy between a man and his wife into some of the most extraordinary things out there uh so much so that he says that a when a man is with his wife and they procreate and there's a baby they have become partners with God they have become partners with God now what does it mean to become partners with God what does it mean to become partners with God okay so you technically God's the one that decided the baby's going to come or not going to come I mean yes you and your wife tried but a lot of people try doesn't mean that they succeed God is the one that uh allowed it to happen so why is it really considered a partnership in fact it's not a partnership just in this child it's a partnership in creation altogether so we we see that the ramban is now taking us on something that is very different than perhaps the way most people look at their children most people look at their children as cute Annoying combination of cute and annoying lot of potential being wasted being uh being uh celebrated you know there's uh the kid is you know disciplined hopefully stays that way the kid is torturing me hopefully he stops that way you know people look at their kids as you know an extension of of themselves naturally mothers are more connected to their children because that child was at one point part of her body and still she use that child as part of her body still to even if the child is 50 years old but the key is to understand is that this child is not just significant in the mother's life or in the marriage's life but rather it's a significant part of the father's life and in fact in both of their lives as far as when it pertains to their partnership with God so the ramban now tells us that this all has to do with the provider and receiver of spiritual abundance it's all has to do with the and again I'm going to elaborate on all these points I'm just giving you foods for thought that we're going we're building on this all has to do with the provider and the receiver once the husband provides his seed the woman receives it and obviously Cooks it up and you have yourself a child or more now of course we've learned already that there is Jewish intimacy as it's can be very holy and as animal intimacy which is the vast majority of intimacy between men and women these days which is simply just a uh you know even if it produces a baby it has no concept of Holiness whatsoever for that part we'll leave you to learn the first 11 lectures now here we're talking about how the provider and the receiver are part of this creation that is being compared to the union of Heaven and Earth and now he starts bringing us verses from the toah he says the prophet Zacharia in chapter 12:1 said the saying of the Lord who stretches forth the heaven and laid the foundations of the earth and formed the spirit of man with him so here we see that the creation of the Heaven and the Earth is being compared to the formation of man that and the prophet Amos chapter 9 verse 6 says and he meaning Hashem has founded his vault upon Earth and says the raan for he meaning Hashem and they are one vault in creating man who is he and they this is obviously men and this is the husband and the wife this is the secret of the verse that many people have trouble with in the Torah in Genesis 1: 26 where it says let us make man in our image now of course Rashi explains to us that since the Angels were created before man and Hashem was trying to teach us morals and ethics where even though you may be the king even though you may be in a position of power it is good to do to ask your advisers for suggestions even if you don't need them just to show them that they have some significance they have some importance they have some value in essence even the King of Kings asked these advisors his his a his angels which are his servants you know what to do with man and he said let us make man in our image but there is obviously the Torah has 70 different faces all 70 facets of the same Diamond many different things can be learned from the same thing and one of one of the things that the holy sages teach us is that this let us make man in our image is God telling us I too am a partner in the creation of man where this partnership is due to the fact that all the organs of the body are drawn from the father and mother and the Holy One euses the soul into it as it says and he meaning Hashem breathe it into the nostrils the breath of life this is Genesis 2:7 or it says in Ecclesiastes 12:7 uh and the dust returns to the Earth as it was and the spirit returns unto God who gave it by the way these are two fundamental verses to prove the whole creation of the Soul Many people that are Heretics uh and and think that they're smart say you guys believe in Souls uh and uh you know where does it say in the Torah that there's a soul it says it all over the Torah and these are just a couple of the basic foundations of where it says the soul where he breath it into the nost a breath of life what is a breath of life what is a same thing with in ecclesiastics where it says Elohim that the spirit will return unto God who gave it what is the spirit the body stays here but the spirit goes up what is the spirit the spirit is the soul so the ramban finishes the this particular point and says and you who have eyes that see is it possible that there can be something foul in that which God is a partner in if so the union of man with his wife when it's proper is the secret of the foundation of the world and its civilization thus they become partners with God in the Act of Creation so here we have a whole mouthful of different interest things that we have to now break down and extrapolate the different wisdoms from it to see how we can apply all of this to our life what does it really all mean of course there's the basic understanding that every person already got and then there's more that we have to get now so as I said the first thing that we learned here from the ramban is that there is a concept of provider and receiver this means that each and every single person has a role in the world when it comes to a marriage between a man and his wife which is has to be a female uh and this is only a disclosure that's appropriate for this generation since the previous generations weren't as stupid uh to think such things that are opposite of that but needless to say the uh the man and wife man and his wife have to know where they stand now if the woman is more masculine and the man is more feminine doesn't ruin the marriage Mar uh in fact sometimes that's what's necessary uh but a uh that's not changing roles that's personality traits that is behavior but it's always important for a person to know that the male was created to be the provider not just provider of money and in a house and shelter we're talking about provider of the seed the woman is the one that receives now if the couple knows and understand understands this then it's much easier to build on that to understand the further responsibility that a person has now when Hashem says that this particular principle of provider and receiver if you know how to use it the right way at the right time will literally make you partners with me partners with God in the creation of the world but how could this be if the world was already created hence the reason why there's the example of rain now rain the reason why it's viewed as something so significant is because rain is hashem's way of constantly breathing more life into his creation because if rain does not come it's not that the creation will stop growing but rather the creation will die in order for the world to continue to live God has to constantly breathe more life into it one of the primary ways of doing so is rain now of course there are many other ways that Hashem recreates the creation each and every single moment now anyone that is into science and understands the whole concept of of of atoms you have the proton the neutron you have different tiny little microscopic energy balls that are spinning nonstop and really when you analyze the atom you find out that 99.9% of the atom is empty space it's empty space but yet everything is made of it everything is energy everything is made out of these atoms but yet everything is made of nothing so how could it be that everything is primarily literally 99.9% of all of creation not just mankind not just this Earth not just the trees or the animals the whole universe 99.9% of it is empty space how could it be that we see everything as solid we see the microphone is solid the books are solid me you the cameras all the different people Whatever It Is Everything is solid we're able to touch it it seems like it's all real how could it all be empty space that's because in these atoms are constantly spinning so fast that it appears as if it is solid the one thing you compare it to is a h fan if you have a fan and the fan is spinning really really fast even if it has three or four or five blades it always looks like it's a single blade as soon as you slow it down all of a sudden the single blade turns into the three four or five blades that it actually had the whole time these other blades didn't just appear they weren't just created they were always there but it always looked like a single blade so long as it went really fast same concept when it comes to the creation itself it all looks and feels solid but the reality is that it's empty space so what keeps these energy balls these atoms spinning non-stop we're not connected to an electric outlet we're not there's no battery inside us what's keeping us spinning obviously that's AEM that's God keeping us spinning so whether someone is an atheist or someone is an idol worshipper or someone is a Torah observant Jew that serves Hashem day and night Hashem gives them life Hashem keeps those atoms moving so long as there's more time on the clock for that person until Hashem decides otherwise but the point being is that all of creation has to constantly get this life into them just for them to exist the same concept goes in the other parts that are easier to understand for everybody for example if somebody has you know you have a person this person needs to breathe constantly he has to constantly uh in uh inhale exhale doesn't matter if he's young old uh it's a male female child it doesn't make a difference everyone has to breathe but you know every living creature has to breathe so all hasem has to do is he doesn't have to not give him air just simply not allow him to breathe anymore the second that a person doesn't breathe anymore that's when life ends that's when life ends so it's the every breath that Hashem gives you is literally giving you life all over again same thing with your heart you have a heart that heart is doesn't just operate because it wants to operate obviously has to have a constant flow of blood so long as the blood goes in and goes out through the different arteries the person can continue to live the animal can continue to live all hasm has to do is simply stop the heart and the person or whatever creature it is stops living meaning that it's not a matter of you don't hm doesn't need to destroy anything with some type of war or virus or or or anything like that simple it's stop giving this creature life stop allowing these this Blood to flow stop allowing the air to flow stop allowing the neurons that are connecting the entire uh nervous system the entire body to itself stop allowing them to connect very very simple if a person has you know all of the person's blood is traveling through his body and if one tiny tiny little bit of blood just connects to another little person's life is more likely than not gone it's over so it's in essence it's not just not give the person's life not give the person the blood flow not give the person air but even not give the person another person dead not because of accidents or tragedy simply just because they go to sleep one day and they simply don't wake up this is one of the things that the scientific world can never explain because that means that they have to submit to a higher being that is the one that's not only provided life but is constantly sustaining life so here we see that the rain is compared to Creation to to and up and up and up and up now you may hear a little somewhere so you know that there's a hole somewhere whether you identify identify where it is or not is irrelevant for this argument point being is you know it exists but you also know that while you're pumping this ball keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger and it sustains itself and it gets to a certain size that you want and you appreciate but you also know that this moment that you stop pumping air into that ball all of your efforts will go to waste because all of the air that you've pumped into that ball will simply leave through that hole so how come it was able to you know inflate and get bigger while you were pumping into it because the amount that you put into it was much greater than the amount was that was able that Hashem gave to you as something that you can consume something that you could uh live through something you could live by but at the same token you have to relieve yourself of it this is not something that can be recreated in the in the world of science needless to say the whole system itself proves the ultimate wisdom of the Creator because you have air you need air to live but yet you have holes in your body how come all of the air doesn't leave now you can say all you want yeah but the muscles what muscles it's air now of course a person that's already a Believer a person that already understands where we're going with this appreciates the Creator a little bit more but once you once you understand the concept of the ball that we just said the analogy of the ball you understand that literally at any given moment if Hashem stops breathing in that air that's where the creation ends so it's not just giving you life when you were born to your parents but sustaining that life is no less than the original creation because sustaining that life means that it has to literally be recreated over and over again those atoms have to constantly get energy to constantly spin the neurons not only have to continue connecting but also have to continue regenerating re you know you have to fix things in the body the body has to fix itself heal itself needless to say the air has to constantly replace itself there's certain air that has to go into the blood there's certain air that has to go to different places how who told the body that some of the stuff that your mouth can consumes has to go into one tube while the other stuff has to go into a different tube what if the food went into the uh the can now where you're supposed to breathe instead of where you're supposed to digest did you give it your the food instructions listen go right make a left and then just uh keep going straight from there just make sure don't go left because that's where I breathe from no this is part of the Perfection of the system itself this is part of the Perfection of the system itself and the mid says in where says to all of this creation is for your use just don't use it or I would do that partnership all over again one of the most difficult things in the world of business is maintaining a partnership generally speaking most Partnerships are created for a uh certain temporary amount of time they're not uh things that last forever generally speaking most Partnerships are things that end at some Future Point some end earlier than others some end later on but generally all of them end and many times they end in ugly way in the beginning everybody's happy everybody's excited everybody sees the potential he knows you have a certain amount of skills he needs he knows you have a certain amount of skills that he needs and you both have a certain amount of ability resources whatever it is and you want to build something together and everyone is excited no one is thinking about breaking up no one is thinking about suing each other no one is thinking about anything negative ever happening all you can think about is success and one of the biggest tragedies that could happen to some people is Success why because as soon as that success hits immediately they start questioning the partnership they start questioning why did he take this amount if I contribute this amount why is this why is that all of a sudden the original partnership is not beautiful in their eye anymore why was it beautiful in the beginning because there was almost nothing on the line other than potential now that there's something material on the line many people start becoming greedy many people become uh uh they open up their eyes see that the other person was greedy the point being is is that these Partnerships many times are uh just a tragedy waiting to happen but if a person is fortunate enough to find a good partner even if it's temporary but still it's a good partnership if he has another deal another idea and he needs a partner for whatever reason or another or he wants a partner then surely the best place to go is the place where you already know that there is a track record is a history of a solid partnership so you ask for that person for another partnership now if you see that the second partnership also works out well and you happen to have another idea another thing that you want to do then normally what are you going to do you're going to go to the same person that you already have a history of good partnership with and you'll do it time and time again and he will do the same thing or she will do the same thing now of course like I said most Partnerships don't generally work but if they do you know where to go if they don't you'll know where not to go if you had a partnership with somebody and that partner ended up being a thief that partner ended up being a liar then and you have another idea you may not know where to go and create a partnership but you do know for sure where not to go because you know that this person is a liar is a thief and his every other name Under the Sun that you can figure out with your vocabulary you know we not to go now Hashem says that when we bring children to the world we become his partner not just his partner in that baby but a partner in creation itself and in fact there's only a few other things that a person can become a partners with god with the gives a few examples says that when a person observes the Sabbath a Jew observes the Sabbath in accordance to the Torah he when a person fulfills the Mitzvah where one uh man that's married to a woman dies childless and his brother marries the uh wife like uh uh Ruth B uh married as part as as a uh this is actually also a so there they believe because they want the house and the job they have the money they have the time they have now if you tell people listen what about having more kids no no listen it's uh we already we're okay it's it's it's too much why not I have already five kids and um I I don't have any I don't have any more money I don't have I can't afford more I can barely afford the five kids that I have I can barely afford the two kids that I have I can barely afford the one kid that I have I can afford more dogs she asked the person listen you want another dog I have a beautiful dog it's one of these uh ancient dogs from I don't know the years of antus it has ears like this and tail like this and it runs like this and it never ever barks it's really really cute you want it how much is it cost in the store oh this store you could easily $3 $4,000 oh yeah I'll take it you want to see it you want to train no no no I'll take it I'll take it you have room for it I have room for it you sure for sure more room for a dog you want to ask your spouse no no no no sh he'll love it you have more room for for a dog more room for work you have more room for materialism you ask a person you have more room for kids not so much not so much you have more money for kids no I don't have any money for kids why why is this we all know that God is your partner we've heard it but yet when it comes to dogs people will have two three dogs they'll have more dogs than kids houses people will acquire as many hous houses as their bank account will allow them to borrow literally they'll have 15 20 30 houses if they could simply get the money to pay for it yeah but you don't need all those houses you can't even live in all those houses no but I could rent them and I could flip them and I could do this and I could do that oh so the houses you can find a way to manage all of that houses you could do it job work more hours you can do it you can find a way yeah but you're not going to spend as much time with your husband your wife your kids anything no don't worry they're fine they're fine as long as there's more money everybody's fine there's always more room for money there's always more room for houses materialism there's always room for more stuff but if you ask people about kids that's where the line is immediately people and we're not talking about one group of people one nationality one area we're talking about this is unfortunately have become an epidemic in society today and it's certainly something that is affecting the Jewish world very hard and the only place that it's not affecting I can tell you is the Muslims the Muslims they don't have any of these problems they produce kids like the chickens produce eggs no one's worried about money no one's worried about housing no one's worried about affording it nothing they produce kids literally like it's puppy seven at a time how come they have the faith and the people of the book sometimes don't this is a K on us this is a case against us why is it of course there are many righteous people that continue to bring more children to the world regardless of affordability and logic and everything else but if you ask the average couple out there you ask listen you know you just had what you had your first kid second Kid third fifth sixth seventh whatever you have are you healthy physically mentally yeah yeah I'm healthy so you can to have another kid no no no now generally speaking this is not something you ask people I'm just giving you a hypothetical example many times couples decide to stop having kids why they feel like they've had enough why do you have enough how many do you have enough and enough is different for different people some people enough for them is one they want the kid to be lonely some enough is two they want the kid to have a friend but that's it no more than one friend some have three and then they say enough why they figure three that's all I can afford some go they extra them M they get four some go five but at some point they say enough in fact there was a woman that came to rim many years she could not have children many years something like 10 years she went went to a sadik and asked for a blessing the sadik saw the pain in This Woman's face his heart he says I could bless you to have children you have to make only one promise she was a religious woman she said what anything what could I do never stop of course soon as you have a child you have to recover however long that takes you to recover some women recover after uh you know a year some women recover in a little less some women recover after two years depends on the woman depends on the age depends on the body but so long as you're physically able to you're not going to stop having kids as long as gives it to you of course not stop I'm 10 years I'm looking for a kid who could even imagine stopping this blessing I'll do it I'll do it Rabbi okay she got the blessing within a year one kid two years two kids three years three kids four years four kids five years five kids after five years she came to ra said please take the blessing away what do you mean take the blessing away you you made a You made a vow there's a vow during the time of trouble you can't cancel such a thing no no I can't it's too much for me I don't know it's too much it's too this they're driving me crazy time of space of whether they need it of whether they want it even everything else there's always room for it children not so much now this is coming from two places I'm not referring to mother and father of course the parents are one and the other one is AEM causing this to happen why you see when a person doesn't understand the value of being a partner with God they're going to listen here ear understand the words that are coming out of my mouth the words that are in the toah that says that when you create another baby you bring another baby to the world you're a partner with God and all sounds really really nice but the second that sentence is finished the seconds they complete reading that line it's as if it was deleted from their soul why immediately their mind goes to yeah but another kid I have to buy more diapers yeah but another kid it's more sleepless nights yeah but another kid who's going to pay for this kid yeah but another kid we're going to fit him or her or them maybe I'll have I don't know six tuplets like they did in Egypt six at a time where am I going to put them immediately all of the problems of this partnership appear but none of the benefits no one thinks of the amazing feeling you get when you see your son or daughter no one thinks for a second of the pleasure they get when they see their kid eating for the first time walking for the first time reading for the first time no one thinks about the pleasure that they get just from Simply thinking about their kid even when their kid's not there he's in uh playing outside or School wherever it is no one thinks about that all they can think about is how can I afford it where can I fit him who's gonna pay for it who's gonna change this kid who's gonna give me my sleep back who's gonna do this how I'm gonna do that no no I can't I can't I can't do it it's too much too much too much so many times this happens why because people do not understand the value of being God's partner there was once an sadik real story his wife had the blessing of the almost the generation of uh the generation of Moses they got married first pregnancy twins second pregnancy exactly a year later twins third pregnancy exactly a year later twins 10 years five twins 10 babies your average woman right now is Scrat taking hair out of her head right now say whoa how did this lady survive oh what when how they afford what they must have had a mansion they must have had a plane in the sky who it's not over it continued 20 children by the time after 10 years 20 children wrong it was not five pregnancies at uh after 10 years 10 pregnancies 10 twins 20 kids at their 10th year anniversary 20 children now it doesn't matter what you do for a living whether you're a Torah scholar or you're an engineer for Microsoft 20 kids it's not cheap not on your time and certainly not on your pocket so this poor guy figured let me see if I could ask some help from some wealthy people in the community he comes to this one person his house knocks on the door and this wealthy Jew opens the door a few chips on his shoulder I can help you and the guy tells him the tells him listen you know you see I'm a young guy my uh beard is still all dark all black but blessed me 10 years that were married 20 children and I was hoping to see maybe uh if you were interested in helping me immediately the rich guy's face changed and he started rebuking this a telling him things the world should never hear says what you want me to pay for your problem because you're irresponsible what didn't God give you a brain to realize that you can't afford all these kids didn't God give you a brain to make you realize to stop it look what you're doing you you're you're you're a person that's just a leech you're you're taking from society with the way you're conducting yourself you guys are going to end up ruining the world and he goes on and on and on for 20 minutes ripping this guy in half and then at the end he says to him and you think that I'm going to partner with such a criminal like you so the a Torah scholar of course embarrassed but he sits there listens quietly waits for the guy to finish after he finishes he says to the guy okay I understand your point you don't want to help I have only one thing to say before I leave he says how many kids do you have guy says I have one despite my wealth I was responsible I knew that it's expensive to raise kids one is enough okay he says in two places in thear it says that when God partner when a person has children that means that God is partnering with them says it seems like you've been in business your whole life says yeah says you have Partners sure I have some Partners says if you have a partner that's a really good partner and you have another idea what do you want you going to partner with him again sure why not and if it's again same partnership again works out what do you do you partner with him again yeah obviously he says what about if you had another partner and you partnered with him and he ended up being a liar he ended up being a thief he ended up stabbing you in the back he ended up taking your resources and using it to build his own company taking your time that you're paying for for and using it to do his own thing would you partner with him again he goes obviously not what are you getting at he says you see there's a difference between me and you when God looks at me he decided he wants to partner with me and he gave me two kids after he saw that I'm delivering on the partnership he said this is a worthwhile partnership it's profitable for me I'm going to do it again and he did it again and when he saw that I'm still delivering on that promise and I'm still a good partner you know what he did he partnered up with me again and again and again 20 times God decided to partner with me you on the other hand he only partnered up with you only once apparently you're not the greatest partner and if you keep behaving the Way You Are even that partnership could easily go away and that's the difference between us the rich guy never thought anybody would say such a thing to put him in his place was too shocked to respond the turned around and left this rich guy thought about what this a said and he knew it's true he knew that although it hurt his ego his ideology his whole life it's true he went to the different synagogues to look for this until he found him he says listen I need to talk to you again yeah no no I need to talk to you seriously please yes says listen I heard what you said and you're right and since you're right and God wants to partner up with you 20 times I want on the partnership how much do you need every month it's on me and that's how it was you see there's a difference between knowing Torah superficially hearing statements reading certain things in a book hearing it in a lecture you've heard it you've listened to it but then there's living it when tells you you have an opportunity to partner up with me if you don't take advantage of that as often as possible it simply means you don't understand what it means to be a partner with God now on the other hand there are times when a doesn't want to be a partner with somebody he simply doesn't we're not talking about somebody that has simply aged out somebody that wasn't married we're talking about somebody that's young healthy everything is good but hasem simply decides not to give them more children all of a sudden on the day that she returns from the mik a husband doesn't feel good all of a sudden the night that she's supposed to have that special seed that's going to bring a CH child to the world she's not in the mood all of a sudden he or she says something that causes an argument all of a sudden there's traffic and by the time he gets home she's already sleeping now you see people think that just because their body functions to go to the bathroom that means they can also go and produce babies just because they produced yesterday that means they can produce tomorrow just because God is there that means he's simply going to give you what you want what they don't understand is that it's not just about you wanting to be a partner with God it's actually more so that God want needs to want to be a partner with you and many times people don't understand this and they simply think you know what let me take a break for five years make some more money let the other kids grow up a little bit more get more situated and then I'll have another round of Fleet of more kids who said God is going to give you those kids who even says you're going to live to see it when a person does not understand what a partnership with aad means there's a lot more on the line than simply another child because sometimes a will do what is necessary to simply not make that partnership happen they'll be together but not on the night that can produce a baby they'll be together but not during the time where something special will happen they'll be together but only on the kitchen table eating together nothing's happening behind closed doors why he's too tired she's too this the kids are that why sometimes because God doesn't want to be a partner now if a person is doing everything in their power to raise their kids with Torah values raise their H home with Holiness in it and they simply don't have more kids that doesn't mean that God doesn't want to be a partner with them it simply means that what's good for them now is what they have now if a person wants something but for the wrong reason perhaps hasem is going to wait until they want it for the right reason either way one of the most valuable things that we've learned today and I think in this series Al together is that when you have an opportunity to partner up with the first and foremost a person needs to understand that there is no greater opportunity in the world than that people look for all types oful all types of special blessings all types of special things to do you have an opportunity to be a partner with a the Creator on the world do you understand that there is nothing greater than that but you're thinking about getting a dog instead you're thinking about getting a car instead you're thinking about how you going afford it instead you're thinking about all these other things wait so God wants to be your partner you have the ability to be God's partner but you're worried about what this child starving to death wait so your partner can produce a soul but not food he could produce a soul but not more room he could produce a soul but not the ability to handle it so you see a person can say no no I want it it's just that the conditions that I'm in are not they're not perfect when I went to Isel with my family during this past summer we stayed a uh almost two months that we were there at the house of aik now he hasem I believe six children the youngest among them I believe was uh maybe eight nine years old little girl the oldest is a you know teenager I know 17 18 years old six kids in America six kids that means probably at least four bedrooms maybe three if they could afford it maybe six their entire house that we stayed in two rooms and guess what every single time we saw that family smiles from ear to ear happiness Beauty amazing it's like literally the was resting upon them at all times one of the most extraordinary I've ever been in my life now you think of yourself wait a minute the whole house that's two rooms there are six kids two adults eight people how it's not how when your partners with a for the right reason guess what can make even a even a the space between the cherubs bring out his voice when a person is a partner with Hashem for the wrong reason for no reason for a selfish reason nothing will ever be enough as thear says when there's love between a couple even the edge of a knife is enough room for them when there's no love between a couple even even a bed the size of a football field is too small when the love between us and and the desire to be partners with him is real it's good everything works when it's missing something a worse yet non-existent all of a sudden even the blessings we have are not good so I think the most important thing that a person needs to evaluate in their life after this year today is first and foremost count whatever blessings Hashem already gave you whatever Partnerships Hashem already gave you analyze how did you do with those Partnerships how did you do with those gifts did you thank him did you appreciate it do you still appreciate it do you still thank him for it do you do whatever is necessary to show him that you're a good partner or you simply say Well it happened what's the big deal he does it for everybody like one of these ungrateful people second thing is do you now understand what it means to be God's partner perhaps one of the things we should pray for is for God to give us another opportunity or two or 10 or 20 to be partners with him because at the very least that will show us we're on the right track thank you very much for learning with me May hasem bless each and
