i would like to welcome everybody here for tuning into this year see out of the shamaya you're lucky you're in a lucky position that you have the supposed to be by a share taking the time out of your busy schedules listening to a share is truly an inspiration i wonder what the reward for that is and the risk for coming you know maybe your car will break down maybe your whatever the case might be but the reward is tremendous and we're going to talk a little bit about the reward tonight of ashir and mitsus in general but before we do i want to just uh thank the organization that's hosting us which is called chickens for shabbos you have no clue what that is well we're going to find out shortly and if you do great it's not the food that you eat in shabbos although it has the same name chickens for javas basically this is a tremendous organization that is supporting agunas and grusha's single women divorced women milandan people that are sitting and learning so many children just supporting them with food supporting them with their needs things that they need and that they're not able to themselves whether it's a shabbos meal whether it's whatever it is that they need they are taking care of these people now it's an interesting thing that i want to point out that i think is extremely important and that is that often a lot of the emails that i get and a lot of the questions that i get by live sheeran of question and answers is like what's going on with kali so what's going on with us we're in such a bad place and look at this and look at the offidera look at the technology look at the lack of this the lack of that the fighting the clay and then just going through the whole corona made it crazy for us there was just so much bad going on i just want to point out that there is also so much good going on there is so much good and claustrophobic going on and sometimes we don't uh mention it or speak about it and i think it's something that we need to speak about more and one of the things that's tremendous is chickens for shabbos this organization is doing so much for claudia's show looking much better but look how much good yeah but look at that but their main focus obviously is taking children from public schools jewish children and bringing them to yeshivas but there is so much more that they do and there's so much better there's so much good in classroom i'm just saying this is tremendous these organizations are giving it their all literally day and night just taking care and everything it's just once you start talking you can't stop so we're just not gonna start because i can turn any time you can't forget turn any time the koyakovs look what they do look how much bad there is but look how much good there is in clarisol look at that salah look at that solo i'm saying that there is so much positive in claudius i think it's something that we need to uh we need to focus on so with chickens for shabbos with khazak with turning time and let's mention that cello also why not there is tremendous good and how awesome is claudius people how amazing is claudius so let's not take that for granted millions and also just another thing this year it was a virtual year due to the corona and there were so many organizations collecting money and i don't know if you were you know if you were on and you checked it out but there was millions and millions of dollars being given to oh whether it was at salah or whether it was ask or whether whatever it was there was so many things there was so many so so many millions of dollars being given we are so lucky to be part of this nation and we need to realize that and take that for granted and focus on the good focus on the reward not so much on the risk and that's what we're going to try to do tonight at mitsuham i'm sure there's been a lot of these shiram a lot of different series in this risk and rewarding amazing amazing speakers and i don't know what they've spoken about whether it was the risk or the reward but i want to focus on the positive on the reward more than the negative although we may or may not mention some negative two okay so with that being said let us get rolling so we're going to start with a famous muscle you probably know it but we're going to say it anyways because we all know that khazora is the icker okay so here we go the famous muscle goes as follows there was once a carpenter you're like i know that one already well you'll have to hear it again sir there was a famous carpenter who was very very famous and very professional he doesn't really have to be a carpenter he could be an engineer one of these like professional engineer carpenters something or others and he was the guy who built the fanciest houses he's the guy who built the fanciest bridges he built those buildings that like are leaning on the side that was him you know he was that guy and he was the best it was like nobody came to his toes he was so good anyways one time after years and years of being a professional his wife came over to me his wife said listen honey it's time for you to retire and let's move to some fancy place and build a nice gorgeous house with all of your talents you know or maybe we'll have somebody else build up you'll just tell them how to do it because you're retiring and uh yeah it's that time you know so he looks to his wife and he's like listen i'm the best i'm the best there is and i enjoy my work and i don't want to retire you know i'm just too good i'm so good and she's like right but you're going to retire anyways i understand that you really want and you know you know but were you retiring and he's like but i really don't want her she's like you're retiring he's like fine okay so he goes to his boss and he's like boss he's like that's not my name but uh it's time for me to retire and um yeah so thank you so much and here's my papers and whatever i'm gonna finish the project i'm doing now but after that i'm pretty much going to be finished the boss is like whoa whoa whoa let me i got to think about that you're the best i can he's like i don't know why well you're thinking about that i'm the one retiring he's like no just come back tomorrow i have to do it okay fine he goes home he tells his wife he went to the bus he comes back the next day and the most like listen you want to retire and that is cool i hear you i got you you know it's time but there's one more job i want you to do just one more job and if you could just do that one job for me i'll pay you triple he's like that guy he retired he's like no one shot one job he said you're tired he's like what job he said tell your wife that you're middle of something that's gonna take you two more years okay so he goes back to his wife and he convinces the wife that he's being paid like triple and the wife is like i told you just to retire why did you get into just retire okay fine no problem however do the job in half the time okay make it fast because i don't really want to wait okay so the boss comes over and he says great listen i just want to say that this is going to be the most gorgeous prestigious house you ever did before make sure you do it slowly maybe it should take more time you know he's like yeah yeah sure and he starts working with the hammer and he's going if you use a hammer i have no clue whatever and he's just going and building and doing in gold and silver and crystals this is mom is a gorgeous home gorgeous but this guy's working fast because his wife pressured him nothing against the wife i'm just saying he was working fast and he was going anyways three four months later he calls the boss and he's like boss that's not my name um i'm finished the job sir he's like dude you're finished the job this is a two and a half year job three year job what do you mean you're finished it's only been four months or five months whatever he's like yeah that's just how it is let's see he can't ask the cash for my mice i'm done so he walks over to the house and he sees that the house is on a slant he's like what is this he's like yeah i'm retired now thank you pay me triple he's like where's the door he's like well i ain't really make a door because i was rushing he goes oh so how do you get in on the side if you jump over the so he jumps over the thing he sees the steps are over here he's like where's the steps don't connect he's like well yeah i was rushing but daddy get upstairs well there's a pole you climb up like the firefighters go down you climb up he's like oh okay what about the bathrooms well there's an outhouse there's an outhouse he's like i gave you a gold toilet he said yeah so i put that by the lights he's like what is going on here chaos everybody say literally and he rushed it that's what happened he rushed it okay so the boss muslim buddy i'm so sorry to tell you this really i'm really sorry to tell you this but um here is the key to the house you guys like what do you mean um here's the key to what do you mean by that he's like well basically since you were my professional worker for so many years i really wanted to give you a going-away present on the house and i know like when you told me you were retiring i needed a day to figure out make plans like a day can you imagine to make plans of how i would like to repay you i decided i'm gonna give you the job to make yourself a gorgeous golden silver crystals diamonds the most beautiful house you ever saw in your life and it's going to be on the house push it for you to enjoy a going away present and you literally could vacate in your house there would have been a pool in there if the pool wasn't outside because the inside and the gorgeous gold bathroom it wasn't an outhouse and the gold toilet was on the ceiling and the guy's like literally st he's like and he ran back to his wife raboissai they're in therapy right now as we speak wait right there sir okay but that's the muscle that's the mushroom what's the nimsho what's the name show the nimshield is simple we are in this world rebel you say for us we are here for us and we're going to read very shortly but we're here for us we are not here to do for hashem now that sounds very strange what does that mean of course we're here to do for hashem that's true but hashem doesn't need us hashem is perfect flawless he's a god the king he doesn't need us whether we do or not is not going to change him he put us in this world in order for us to gain in order for us to get that key at the end of the day when we get up to the next world everybody say after years and years of hopefully taking the job slow and working through what we're supposed to work then working hard on it and he's going to get up we're going to get up there and he's going to be like here's your key this was your story this is your house you built for yourself every mitzvah you did depending on how you did it every tv depending on how you dive into every shabbos every trillion every sneeze every titus however you want to say it whatever it is it's for you it was all for you just to get rewarded who put us into this world to reward us now yes we have a job not to do it for the reward why because the reward is just working for hashem that's already enough but with all that on the side we need to realize that we're building our own house so how do you want your house to be seriously if you knew that the boss was giving you that key and you're doing your own job it's for yourself it's not for somebody else how well will you do it when you know it's for you when you're picking out an estrogen rule for someone else you're like yeah i'm saying it's green yellow it's my little black thing fine you can't see it anything you told me it's more it's good you know it's crusher you get it this one's going to be for you it's going for me why because it's for you and you want the nice one everybody said we're in this world for us how do you daven why am i doing it for hashem what does she want for me you're not doing it fresh i'm doing it for you and it's such a vital lesson so important for us to really walk around with this mushroom and realize that the way we work in this world the reward that we're getting against the risk that we might be losing but that reward is all for us it's not like oh if we dive in better hashem is yes hashem is happier yes hashem is so proud of us you have to really understand what that means and of course we're doing for hashem but ultimately we're not changing hashem hashem is perfect perfect it's all for us and when we get up there we want to make sure we have a nice house we don't want a slanty house you know what i'm saying so just that's very important to know the reward is tremendous by what we're doing the reward is tremendous by everything we're doing and that means that we have to do it right and we got to do it well and we got to work hard on what we're doing it's not enough just to get by i just want to get by you know what's your purim plan what's your problem well i want to wake up obviously like everybody wants to wake up and i want to just get get i want to get done with the make a little quick so let's just do my second who lanes the fastest who wins the fastest and they don't clap by hum and i want to be done with it you ever had that feeling before no oh well then it's awkward but if you could hear such an idea that's not how we want to get through this no i want to go because that's our job now and the mcgill let's even try to learn about the miguel king we don't really know what it means to see a king but if you were that would take several days to prepare for you know you have to repaint you have to really the king is coming to our town we got to get ready for that the king and if it was a dictator forget it even a date when you go on a date how long are you preparing when you go for a here for a yeshiva when you have pesach guests coming you have a guest coming for shabbas you prepare so if it says that we must prepare for 70 years of life before entering the palace of the king of kings we can appreciate how supremely exalted the palace must be and his pay what he pays his servants the reward that we're getting you know so like everything in life the preparation depends on what you're doing so if you're going on a date so you get you know you prepare you're here for like three hours if you're the guy and if you're the girl forget it i'm joking but for the girl at least you're preparing you're here and you're doing this and the dress and for the guy the suit and the mirror and the shaving and you're preparing for what for a date that you might say no to or maybe you weren't even interested in going on in the first place but your mom said you must just to be nice to the other family or date number two when you're really just going because it's nice and you're not really gonna you know i'm saying but yet you're still preparing so long for that and for a fahrer you prepare a little bit longer a few days you're preparing the suggest what's going on give over a vote preparing and then for a king coming to your town which is like we said we don't really know what that is but that type of preparation takes even longer you have to paint all the houses you got to clean the streets you got to get in your finest garb and you got to go out and meet him so when it comes to the abish when it comes to hashem that the ghazal tell us 70 years 70 years to prepare what's the preparation what do we do and the answer is we need to be better children we need to be better servants we need to become better governors better governors we need to be better learners better medos we got to do more we got to help support all these amazing platforms all these amazing organizations that's how we prepare to meet the king of the next world on a date you got to do you here you got to do your superhero the gemara king paint hopefully everybody but within the preparation that we're doing how well are we doing that preparation so if you're dating a very hush of a person you'll try to do it a little bit better if you're having a very hush of a guest coming you'll try to do a little bit better if you're speaking to a whatever that is right so you'll do it even better so if you're speaking tacos barracuda if you're relating to the king of kings if you're trying to build a relationship with the king of kings how well will you do that how important did it is it to go all out and that's so important and we need to do this we need to do this and i'm going to make i'm going to hopefully make this this very clear with going through the uh first perk of the missile strike together with you seated i think it brings it out so clear but i just want to point out how important it is to realize every time we do a mitzvah every time we do every time we dive in in a shul we're starting by connecting with hashem you know how are you david hashem how do you build a relationship with hashem by being dopic by being davik dave is glue glue has ingredients and so too in connecting to hashem there are ingredients and the first ingredient is talking talking to connect hashem talk to hashem whether it's outside of shul whether it's inside of sure but when you're talking to hashem when you're in his shul talking to hashem you have to realize that who you're who you're talking to and you have to realize that okay if i'm talking to the ceo of the world anything there has to be a certain amount of covet there has to be a certain amount of respect and there has to be a certain amount of this is how i act well i don't do certain things and yes i do do certain things because look who i am in front of and that's very important very important to realize now if you've never done it before great so do a little bit of chuva and start of slow baby steps that's how we grow in judaism in really everything that so you grow baby steps so this week when i speak to god in shul i'm gonna make sure that at least two of the days or three of the days or wherever you're holding for the days i'm gonna realize who i'm speaking to number one to speak slower number two to focus more number three to realize that he's listening to me and number four not to interrupt him not to interrupt the people around me not to disgrace where i am by talking during davening talking in shul letting my phone ring and chew disturbing other people rabbi said we're in a meeting with the ceo of the world you know if you got pulled over by a cop you're like oh your majesty please get the flashlight out of my eyes and here's my license registration and i'm so sorry for speeding you never answer a call in the middle of that and a judge forget it i don't know if anybody's been in court before but when you're in court you're like your honor um you'll never answer the call you never answer a phone talk somebody disturb even when you're talking to your dog i don't know if you have a dog but i'm saying your pet when you're all involved with your pets your pets hashem's not worse than a dog rabbi say hashem is not worse than a judge hashem is not worse than your date hashem's not worse than your guests and this has to be a clarity we have the schools we have the schools to talk to hashem we have this quest to build a relationship with hashem we have a source to prepare for that ultimate meeting after a hundred and twenty years after all of us live lives of three and mississippi we have a school so let's make sure that we're preparing right and remember that muscle okay so now i just want to go through parag aloe very quickly with you it's just so important that i'm sure you've all done it a thousand times but this question so many times but for those of you who never did not not you obviously but the person behind you right so we're going to do that together right now and here we go so now that it's clear to us what our purpose in the world is yeah okay i'm joking starts you have to start somewhere and the starting point of that is that you need to have it very clear very clear she is amazed and very truthful you have to know you have to verify to every single person what are you doing here what is your purpose here why why are you here you need to know what the goal is you have to know why you were placed here in order to know what to do and where should your outlook where should your energy where should your ambitions be what should you be busy with all the days of your life anybody who goes to any job you need to know what you're doing if you're a surgeon don't bring a sledgehammer for a construction site and if you're doing construction don't bring a surgical scissors it's just not gonna work you need to know what you're doing what your purpose is what your goal is in order to know how to perform and what tools to bring and what to do with your life a human being only has so much energy if you're investing all of your energy in stocks then you have no time for terror you have no time to bring anything to the table now you may have money you may not have money but the things that you were really supposed to bring which we're going to see in a second you have no time because you're so tired you only have this much energy if you have a certain amount of children whatever it is in your play group in your school in your cheer in your class whatever it might be and there's one guy who you just can't relate to it's just much better for him in the other class because by by you dealing with him it's just not going it's not working and your weight you're using all your energy trying to make it work when it's just it doesn't click so you're gonna have a lot less energy for the other boys in class you know you're gonna be stretched very thin because a person has so much energy so where do you put that energy in your life if you don't know where you're supposed to be what your goals are why you're even here you may put that energy in the wrong place and when you're 97 years old you're like ah not now oh i think i made a big mistake here without those movements or voice that was just like for effect but you understand what i'm saying you have to know where you're supposed to be your whole life now we're a part of claudius and barack has all told us exactly because if we had to do this ourselves like i don't know you know because i'll tell us so we have right here here a person was created listen to this to le his ani to delight in hashem to get pleasure so what is your purpose of life the answer is pleasure now where is this pleasure located to benefit and to benefit from the radiance of the shrina the one who created the world the one who created pleasure the one who created everything you are going to bask in his radiance that is why you were created that is the real delight that's real pleasure that's the real reward risk and reward if i go into that stock what am i gonna do if i'm losing ten thousand i'm making twenty thousand twenty thousand dollars okay a million dollars okay fine a billion dollars wow that's a lot but but ultimately it's just gonna get you things it's not gonna really you know you don't hang up the money you buy stuff with it and you buy those things and it's nice like a day or two or a week or two and and then you get the next thing and then you get fine but it's not ultimate pleasure it's not the ultimate reward it's very limited after a while we want to get the new one even if you get the best that you want to get the new one after two years so but this reward is the ultimate reward the ultimate reward to bask naked who's radiance and this is the greatest pleasure you will ever be able to find ever uh where is this pleasure where do you get this pleasure that's in the next world that's not in this world we can't take such a pleasure you know it's just it's not there's not enough money in this world to pay you know a person client brings a muscle he says the guy wanted to cash a check so he goes to a bank and he says um could you catch this like oh no you gotta speak to the manager go to the manager the manager looks at he's like whoa no you gotta speak to the the ceo you wanna see oh and he's like oh okay all the banks in the entire world will not this whoever gave you who they gave the king gave you this check you got to go to the king because we we can't cover this it's the same idea in this world it's just too much it's too much energy too much pleasure for our bodies we're a goof we're not so strong you know we fast for one day we wake up like we didn't have our coffee today don't talk to me after you check it because because you didn't eat for one day so we're not so strong you know what i'm saying so imagine putting in that tremendous amount of pleasure another idea maybe you could say is imagine taking a rolls-royce engine or a jet fighter's engine and you put in a tiny little honda civic or uh electric scooter electric bike it will literally blow up it's just too much energy such as moving a lamp that's a better example a lot of examples here a lamp you put too much water holding tops why it's just too much this pleasure is only in the next world we can't get it the reward is so tremendous so tremendous that you just can't we can't actually just just pay me back in this world a little bit though a little bit just like you can't even the tiniest tiniest little dot just can't be better now for the rashaam it's very different for their shaman other people who pays them back in this world because it's a much more limited check and therefore they pay back everything here it's like this in the next world like this bronco doesn't have to give anything over there but al kopon and what we see from here is that it is the most ultimate reward the most ultimate pleasure and that's what the next world was created for like in dave buster's there's the games and there's the game room which is just the prizes in that room it was built just for prizes if you have four thousand billion trillion amount of tickets you get a small little bowl or a little taffy a billion tickets though you gotta spend like ten and a half thousand dollars to buy the games tickets when you get it happy but that room that room excuse me is the room for pleasure the rest of dave and buster's is the room to have fun and to gain all those tickets this world is that room the next world is that uh not exactly with the same currency and tickets and little bull but it's the same idea that the next world was created for this but how do you get to this destination who is that's this world first where we have an armed put on filing we have a shul to daven we can walk to davening we have a mouth to close not to speak during davine who's this world of whom what is the nature of a hallway it is not to look at the mona lisa on the side and be like could she really see every direction no the point of a hallway is to get through and to get to that destination and that's what we're hearing now how do you get there and here's the punchline heim hamid swiss assured it's evan allen that's the mitzvos that is the mitzvos the ultimate purpose of creation is to get pleasure get rewarded from akhileshbarakul now how do we do that by building a relationship with akadeshwarahu in this world by doing the mitzvos by going to sri lanka's what what all the different things lighting the candles whatever it is that you're dealing with that is what we're here for you say that is the purpose of life and the reward for that is tremendous and what's the risk of not doing that so for eternity you don't get that reward and for eternity is a lot longer than the few little years here that you're partying it's a tremendous risk to take and the probabilities of all this being true for those who are doubting like who said it's real the probabilities are are mighty high and we can make a whole nother share about that if you want proving god and ada you know it's real it's real people it's real so i think that's very important to know that the reward is tremendous the reward is tremendous and we have to work on that we got to work on that preparation and yeah good i hope that was clear and i want to finish off with one idea one idea and that's very important one idea which is very important and that is that there's a famous question that a lot of people like to ask and that is that if you had one hour to live if you had one hour to live what would you do in that last hour that's what they ask i i want to ask the question one step further why would you do that but what would you do so they asked us to rob a victor miller and he said i'll do whatever i was doing because every part of my day is to serve hashem my eating my sleeping my this my dad my walk it was all for god so whatever i'm up to if it's time for lunch i'll eat lunch which is an incredible answer okay so we have that power we have that potential that we could take our whole day and change it from mundane to become something spiritual everything everything we do if we do it to connect takadeshparahal but besides that story what would you do for that hour what would you do i would davey like you never saw would you talk during the happening you would not talk very happening during that last hour why because you'll be so focused on what i have to do it's my last hour alive are you kidding me v doyle david daven daven diamond [Music] yeah what would you do in the last hour i want to ask a different question i don't know if it's asked as much but i think it's important what would you not do in that hour what would you not do in that hour you had one hour to live what would you not do now whatever it is that you're about to answer and for whatever the reasons are let's try to take that answer and apply that to the many many hours that barakah mashem does give us now we don't have that one hour left till 120 but we have a lot of hours left so whatever we wouldn't do in that last hour let's maybe not do it in this hour now one of the things that i'm quite certain you would not do during that last hour is talk during davening or answer your phone during that it's just it doesn't you know it's like it's like imagine i was talking down on my phone here but imagine i was talking let's just make believe that this mouse is a phone which is weird but let's just make believe so imagine i'm talking to you i'm telling you imagine you were alive for one more hour hello hey how you doing how are you doing or if you're whispering really loud you know that thing in shoe like something and it's just so annoying how disrespectful is that and that's the middle of a sheer that like whatever okay big deal you had a phone call you had to answer it but you're like excuse me excuse me like i'm you're not talking to me or if it's your client somebody working with a therapist you're working with somebody don't answer your phone that's so disrespectful so why is that when i do it over here with a mouse weird it's all like whoa what are you doing it's so awkward so but when it comes to hashem no problem it doesn't have to be a phone it could be the person next to you now i'm sure nobody means to talk during davening maliciously but the point is if you were alive for one more hour you would never talk during davening why because you would be focused and you'd realize like oh my gosh because what do you mean what do you mean what do you say what type of question is that right so so so make that feel like that now why would you do it now if the whole reason is because disrespect and it's my last hour and i have to really do my best so do your best now why would you only do your best the last hour every second that we're alive every second that we're living we've got to do our best that's the point to make that connection the best that we could the way you prepare for a date the way you prepare for a fighter the way you prepare for a king coming we have 70 years to prepare to go to this massive massive beautiful palace how are we preparing we don't only prepare the last second you don't get ready oh he knocked in the door let me do my hair i don't know how you do here like that whatever you don't prepare right when you're walking through shiva's office no you don't start painting the house when the king comes you prepare from the second you find out you're doing it let's prepare let's get rolling so everybody said we don't have to stop talking about the opening and start perfecting our midsoles our last hour alive we got to do that now and that's our job rabbi and the reward we cannot fathom it because our brains are also human our brains are also guth and and you can't we cannot imagine this so i want to finish by giving everybody a bracha first of all what a susta join
