Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochi Du Dah - Rabbi Benzion Klatzko ft. Robert Shiryak - Lag Ba'omer in Monsey NY
This past summer, Rabbi Benzion Klatzko's Akiva trip to Israel featured 30 students yearning to learn more about Judaism. During one of the classes, Rabbi Klatzko mentioned Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochi. One of our participants, named Robert, began singing the rabbbi's name with "Du Dah" at the end of each line. And then... he wouldn't stop! At first, the students were annoyed. He simply wouldn't stop singing it. On the bus, in the hotel, on the hikes. After a while, other's began to sing it as well. It was worming its way into our brains!! One day on a hike, Rabbi Klatzko asked him to sing his "composition" into Rabbi Klatzko's phone. The Rabbi then sent his track over to his music producer and spent the next day cleaning up the vocals, adding the music and layering harmonies. The next day, everyone was shocked when Rabbi Klatzko started off class playing the song fully produced. Robert felt like a million bucks!! Here is the song. Good luck getting it out of your heads! (Rabbi Klatzko shot and produced this video tonight in Monsey NY, and added it to the music track to make it more interesting/relevant) Shabbat.com is the world’s largest Jewish social network, an organization consisting of a global social media platform and app that assists people to find places for Shabbos, Shidduchim, Jobs, and Chevrusas.
