Rabbi Mendel Kessin: The Coming of Moshiach and the Greatness of Torah (part 2)

[Music] this is part two of the greatness of Torah but what I think I'll also do is speak a little about since the in two to three days you have the elections in Israel so I think I'll also make some observations about that I'm sure right is curious you know what's happening with that what will happen and so on you know what the real thing is what's the meaning of all this and so you know which I think I will also talk about you don't so this is sort of like a dual topic in part one I had spoken about the greatness of Torah anybody hear me okay I spoke about the greatness of Torah and what I try to illustrate luminate is the fact that Torah itself is not just a document but it is a document that is a fabric of the Brio of the entire creation and I wanted to very extensively your last time how a document can contain all materials everything that you will have to know really everything that was created because as I said then the Torah itself is the blueprint that God looked into so to speak to create the world because God doesn't have to look into anything the blueprint that which God wants of course is preformed in his mind in the Torah is a manifestation of what he wants so in a certain sense it's speaking in the language of man man looks into something right but the question is well how did that something come into being that's also the product of the mind and so on you know but in any case we see that and what's very important to understand is that the Torah as I'd mentioned is really the totality of the acts of God it's really what it is so as such as such the all the different forces configurations of forces and I mentioned that they are all ten of them all of them that God did in creating the entire creation and I'm not just talking obviously about the physical universe which is 13.7 billion light years a Lightyear beings six trillion miles but the entire creation itself is far vaster than just the physical universe obviously you know because you talk about all the spiritual dimensions the worlds before that comprise that are comprised of the include the the physical and then as I mentioned there are many worlds besides the physical and of course so all of this is included in the tour itself in terms of the letters I mentioned in terms of the Russia Terrace which is the acrostics now it's red skip skip skip codes and all that all of it in some way contains everything as I mentioned in perky obvious it says I Bob ah ball turn it this way turn it that way she Kula ball because everything is in it you see that is why obviously the Jews have always learned the Torah so the Torah is far more than just a law book which it is you know fundamentally it's a law broken sense that what is a proper behavior that one must perform and so on but it's really a book which I would call it's an ontological book it's a book about the being of creation all of it so it's far more great far greater than we can imagine you know it's not just a guidebook how do you behave it's really a book that has everything that exists and so on not only exists but everything that will exist in the sense that will happen just the past the present the future and so on and that's obviously why the rabbi's and the Jews have been learning it for thousands of years because everything is basically in it and so on okay in any case so we see that Torah has many many different ideas in terms of why it's so great what I want to dwell on now is another aspect another dimension of the greatness of Torah which really in many ways is the defining power or status of the terror and I want introduce that I mentioned also and that is the following we know and I mentioned this at many times that what God did is he created a universe or a dimension which is completely spiritual we have no idea what that is it's called the future world ultimate ball in Kabbalah it's called Adam Kadmon primordial man that's the name of that place or that dimension and what that is that is Olam haba that is the future world that's where we hopefully all of us are headed right that's what we want to wind up you know if I had to succinctly summarize the experience in that place I would say it's that it's infinite bliss eternally it's a nice way of summing up the whole experience you know under the bliss the state of which a person has is infinite we cannot even begin to imagine what that is and it's eternal cuz I have an interesting way of referring to that you know which is interesting they say you're a cool toy it would be a day that all of it is good you see they don't refer to the fact that well how good will it be not a you know if you ask somebody what would you rather have you know good mixed with bad but the good would be great or would you rather have good that never ends means it's never bad you know I'm saying which one would you prefer kissing questions you know if you think about it I think everybody would like I don't want any bad moments that's more important than that they should be bad moments and right besides the bad moments there's a lot of great good you know no and that's where huzzah the rabbi's referred to Olam haba you're a mod a cool it to him all of it is good it just never stops being good which is really very difficult to comprehend because you know you wake up in the morning and who knows what's gonna be the rest of the day you know you know people get up in the morning and by 10 o'clock a.m. they're dead that's obviously the worst thing that can happen to you you know and so on but that that's really essential there's no such thing as a nanosecond that there is a cessation of unbelievable bliss Wow what a place imagine what that is you can't write can't imagine but that's what autumn Apple is are you seeing of them and each one is an incredible force and these forces create realities that's what they are they are associated with the divine you see I know it's nobody really knows what they are I am talking about the highest angels have no idea what these forces are and they are in the camp or the arena what's called divine so how in the world can anybody comprehend that which is called divine but remember this and not God God is distinct and separate from anything else including these energies now without going into the relationship between God and a Spheeris which itself is a whole discussion that's important to keep in mind okay but the highest thing that God made of course is or the highest type of being entity are those forces and they create realities and what they do is they create realities and then they diminish in their output you see until finally they create the physical world and I once mentioned quite a while ago that the physical world is a barrier to experiencing the spiritual and that's why it's physical the essential idea of the physical world is that like I said it is a barrier okay it's an obstacle to create to experience a spiritual world because God does not want to give us a spiritual world immediately he wants us to earn it and this is a fundamental principle of the creation nothing is for free nothing you see without going into why I want to mention the ultimate principle there's all sheer on the internet nama dick super bird of shame which hopefully there's some type of justice to this whole concept and so on but the main idea is that we must earn whatever state we will be in that future world very important see but in order to do that God clearly has to create a situation in which we cannot experience the spiritual bite or else we would have it right away we need to earn the spiritual and therefore we need to have a barrier which means that we got to fill this out you see and to the extent that we figure out that the real reality is spiritual to that extent we will experience that spiritual State it's called measure for measure it is called absolute justice that's why God created everything but do not think that our God is just making everything tough it's not because it's a great deal of things that he has instituted that enormous ly assist us in getting to the end it's a very important concept God wants us to know them huh boy you see not that he doesn't want us no no my boy and he's put up an obstacle course not at all you see he wants every single Jew and I would say he wants all human beings in the future world you know even if it's a non Jew there is a difference obviously between the future world of a Jew and a non Jew because the Jew is the one that will have caused the existence of the future world fine but anybody can experience something of the future world if he does the right correct behaviors and so on and so therefore the physical universe is fundamentally a barrier that's what it is and therefore we got to make our way around the barrier to figure out what the true reality is so if you want you could think about the physical world really it creates a fog we live in a fog you see and the physical world like I said is a fog because we don't really see the spiritual you see and we could talk about it think about it but we never really experience it almost we can't experience it in certain ways which is interesting God has allowed man to experience the spiritual even as a physical person and for instance one of the ways of experiencing the spiritual is called prophecy prophecy is an experience where an individual who knows the rules the regulations of prophecy he can actually experience a spiritual state even when it's physical you see there are other ways besides prophecy of which we no longer have is the divine inspiration called Kadesh there are different ways of experiencing but so God has left open certain avenues in that sense certain venues of experiencing spirituality even today by the way there are ways of experiencing tremendous spiritual States even today you see it's worthwhile getting to know them because it would change the course your life one spiritual experience if you ever do it would change your life and the spiritual experience that I would talk about is what's called the vagus which means attachment to God if a person would experience that then he would realize that everything is really nothing you know it's one thing that even Europe called Sobotka famous even Europe you know in Sobotka the sheerest Roberto was they used to say which I find to be very profound concept you see that those who have experienced real spirituality even if they never really make it but this will forget about it has done compared to the spiritual experience anyway so therefore there's a physical universe but God remember the physical universe like I said is a barrier and it's made to be a barrier to the spiritual and what God wants is ultimately to remove that barrier of obviously because as long as your physical you're not gonna enjoy or experience the spiritual so obviously ultimately he wants to remove the bear but what does that mean to remove the barrier it doesn't mean to all of a sudden take everybody away know what God wants to do and he has the Jewish people doing it is to change the physical universe into a spiritual domain it literally changes it's called the transformation where the physical universe actually transforms into a different type of existence the ones who do that are the Jews and therefore that's called Rinku purified and that's the purpose of spirituality you know it's the way we see and that's interesting if you think about the contrast the difference between Judaism and there's an essential idea the difference between Judaism and many other religions for instance I gave my own religion for instance Christianity you see Christianity believes and that's why they have monks monastery is up in the mountains you know why because their understanding in order to become spiritual you have to push away the physical you have to push it away right you have to dedicate yourself to asceticism might be an ascetic you know and live the monastic life and to them of course not everybody does that most people don't but a VAX the epitome of a spiritual experience Judaism says no of course not what a person has to is not we move physicality and go to some mountaintop and meditate all day long the essential journey of Judaism is not that it is to channel the physical into spirituality you see that's why when you look at the mistress they're all physical basically right everyone is physical what you can eat and what you can't eat you know I'm saying you know your plantations that you have to give a tithe you don't and there's a holidays you know on the contrary you say you know there's a suit the Shabbos you know I'm saying you eat a whole meal on Shabbos Wow that you know depending on the chomp but anyway but the idea is what Judaism emphasizes is to channel the physical and to make it spiritual that's the gift of Judaism so most religions don't have that Judaism has a Jew can sit down right looks at the food and makes a bra huh right he thanks God for the food that he is now about to enjoy and the way thanks him is by acknowledging that the source of the food is God that's what a blessing is it's a Bravo we acknowledges that the source of what is about to partake is God and therefore as a result of that things change his mind now looks at the food as a vehicle to worship God it's interesting okay not a bad idea Thanks in any case that's a very important message that the task of a Jew isn't to avoid the physical it is to transform the physical to channel the physical why because what the Jew does right you just doesn't God just doesn't take Oldham how's that the physical world and remove it in that sense right it's the physical world itself is transformed into a spiritual domain so the physical universe becomes that war the spiritual universe coordinates zero which becomes Bria and they're not sealers and that becomes what's called Adam Kadmon which is the future world that's why a Jew is so involved in the physical world you notice all the mistress involved physicality you see that's a big difference between Judaism and other religions they try to run away from the physical and the Jew embraces it by channeling the physical and making it spiritual that's a very important concept and so on and the reason for that why why should that be they are free though the work and the reason for that is because you want to take the physical universe and purify it so obviously if you avoid the physical universe you're not doing it but by interacting with the physical universe you actually change the physical universe into a spiritual one because that's exactly what you're doing that explains why Judaism is a very physical religion sounds very interesting but it is it's a very physical religion and now once that happens of course now how do you make physical into spiritual and the answer is you got to turn on these fears you got to get them to pour out much more divine energy that's what happens and initially they were diminished and now they are now turned on again right and as a result of that the the physical uterus now changes because remember if they increase their output of the incredible divine energy right then I guarantee you something's gonna happen to the matter that they deal with and that's what the Jew does now of all these tense fears which is very important okay there are a ton of them but the greatest of all the spheres which means it has the greatest amount of energy a and B it is the greatest revelation of God because a sphere or other than being a force is also a revelation of God it is some type of an insight into God you see it is associated with the aspects of God that can be revealed you see so therefore the these spheres change reality but the reality that they change is in conformity to the illumination that they provide you right of the divine presence it's really what it is each sphere can provide you with an unbelievable insight into God right and therefore that's what they can change that's why the sphere is when they are including their energies increased that's why they make the world into a spiritual domain you see because they are spiritual they have in them the capacity to illuminate the presence of God to an incredible degree so therefore they change reality that way you see makes sense it's exactly what they do you see so therefore what we want to do when we do the mistress that's the trigger the midst is the trigger I once mentioned that there tremendous mistake we're really tremendously connected we are connected ontologically being wise you know you know the great example of that is there's always a physical example to help picture what in the world I'm talking about what's a great example that were really one being called Knesset Israel and the answer is Siamese twins what the Siamese twin right it's really two heads one body or it on but that's really what you have to like come on home you love your neighbors yourself so the question is how in the world can that be I mean why would God make or impose that type of relationship and the answer is because he is you that's who he is you're looking at something that is a different consciousness but really he's you you and his neshama are bound together as one you see that's a very important concept we don't realize that you see and that's why it says you'll have to record and you will love your neighbour kamoko as yourself why because kamijo he is you he is you you see that configuration we look the way they do the head the arms torso the legs and so on right because we are really a manifestation of the spheres so therefore just like they called Adam we are also called Adam you see therefore really all three already one it's very important concept now if we understand that then we also realize this and that is that well if the Spheeris which is the Torah which I had mentioned in the last year the totality of all the combinations of spheres that God used to create to make the creation but that is the Torah ultimately I mentioned that last time what the Torah really is at that level and so on right but that's the case so if you learn the terror you are really learning the spheres except in a disguised form but wait a minute if you are learning the Torah which are really the Spheeris right then if that's the case you are you are really connecting to God because the Torah is in a certain sense a divine so when you learn it you are incorporating that divine form in you but the greatest form of the divine form is the greatest fira which is casa therefore when you learn Torah you actually trigger Kassar in your favor not a louis fira but the sphere of cancer itself and that is the greatest what's called Sheva hash poor force or influence that is possible in creation that's what Tara does so how do you beat it you can't that's the greatest tecum even though it can't rectify the area in terms of the total rectification but it can rectify the entire area that you're assigned to you're way ahead of the game because of that you see that's why the greatest mystery you can do is to learn Torah because that's what does it you see in fact that is such an important idea you see that the Gomorrah actually asks wait a minute women are not have today you know hopefully that doesn't happen you know but in any case so therefore three was so great that even if you rest for the purposes of strengthen yourself and just taking easy that
