part of the executive board but no
longer am I part of it however I would
like to introduce them we have here the
Executive Board of the Jewish Students
Association of St John's University they
were responsible for all of the
preparations here and the former
president Jonathan as well very they
were responsible for all the
preparations so we'd like to give them a
round of
applause now this gentleman here this
Rabbi this is Rabbi katko he is well
known throughout uh our community maybe
some of you know him he hosts shabbatons
I've actually been to some of them every
Shabbat he has about 100 people in his
dining room and he loves to give he
loves to bring people in as you saw with
the way he started off the event he also
has a website called shabbat.com
anywhere in the world where you are I
know people that went to South Africa I
know people that were in other parts of
the world in Australia they find someone
for Shabbat to stay somewhere someone
that will take care of them on Shabbat
anywhere in the world this is something
that a project that he's been working on
for
years thank you thank you thank
you and uh we are very honored very
honored this is his first time in the
Passover seder we hope that it won't be
his last time here but we're very
honored to have
clco as uh to leave the S thank you
thank
you okay everybody so really really
quickly my name is benion you have
questions please feel free to raise your
hand or shout out either way it works
for me I'm originally from Cleveland
Ohio my father was born in Cleveland uh
he went anyone here from Ohio Ohio
background no no nobody Ohio okay my
mom's from
England okay there we go she's English
and um we we bounced around I was a
rabbi in Perth Amboy New Jersey for a
number of year Perth Amboy yeah that was
a place over there and then eventually I
became a college Rabbi UCLA in Los
Angeles and today I'm one of the
national directors I bounce around the
country helping Start programs and when
I was called and I was told what a
wonderful group
is here waiting to enjoy Passover and
the Sader I said count me in and they
did so I'm here I'm honored thank you
thank you very
much so we're going to try to do this by
the by the clock okay so it is now4 to 7
there's all that yummy chicken and I saw
salmon that's a Jewish food right so so
salmon and chicken and good food and we
got matah so we're not going to schlep
we're g to we're going to move we're
going to move right along and I'm
looking at 7:30 as dinner time so we got
45 minutes to cover everything all the
way until dinner so we're going to begin
with Kadesh it is the custom of the
little children and then the adults to
sing all of the different things in the
Seder the word seder means in order so
we're going to announce the order of the
Seder so I'm going to sing it in the
tune that I was taught when I was young
and if you want to join please feel free
to do so and here we
go
I I see we have a singer in the audience
that that's Lily what was your name
L Lena cuto you are amazing I could hear
you all the way up here so that is
called the Sader and then what we do is
we fill up the cup
yes yes you're correct about that and
since I am a grandpa put on the
spectacles and we got 19 we're now going
to move on to page 20
and we're going to do K now what I like
to do when I have my seder is I like to
tell the laws of doing it the right way
so I'm not going to skimp on that so A
few laws that we should know number one
when we make the Kish it is better to
stand so if you can stand if it's hard
to stand then just don't but if you can
we're going to stand during The KES when
we drink The KES wine we lean does
anyone know what side we lean on left or
right right we're going to do the left
side we're going to lean the left side
and that's called a sa so we're going to
lean and then one more thing one second
before you do it Pour for your friend
gra juice you're not supposed to pour
for yourself because you're like a king
or a queen today so everyone pours for
somebody else and having said that I'm
going to pour for myself okay
here you
go pour a
cup you would be able to do I don't if I
can I'll
do you got the you got cranberry messed
up urinary TR okay
here okay
okay minut
you okay do we have our grape juice now
if we're feeling really very fres nicked
then uh then uh next week when we do the
actual seder get yourself a good cup of
like toquet or Malaga maybe something
lighter cream Ros say something like
that um I like reasing and know like a
reasing a nice late Harvest reasing is
like a light sweet wine okay here we go
we're going to
begin in the middle of page
20 everyone we're going to stand up and
what we're going to do is instead of me
making the Kish we're all going to do it
in the same tune at the same time
together as one okay here we go from the
word s
in the middle of the page on page
20 here we
go pray
sh sh
for
m
all
the
we sit down we lean on our left side and
we try to drink the majority of what's
in our cup majority whatever is there
try to get the
majority there we
go they always felt the Jewish people
make good grape
juice K okay now after doing each thing
we announced the thing that we just did
so we just Kadesh everyone say
Kadesh okay now we're going to do and
we're going to wash our hands now I have
not been here before and I don't suppose
we're all going to run up and wash our
hands so there's any any of the students
want to help me out with this one over
here okay yeah um cup cup of water we're
going to do this
Ur okay well actually I can go there you
have a yeah there we go that works I'm
going to yeah bring it up
here that's good enough yeah bring it up
here we're we're all
friends
oh there we go very you good
excellent now we're going to wash our
hands and that's called but we don't
make
the that we do by okay and here we go
we're going to take the cup thank you so
much for
that that's great here we go I'm washing
my hands to 3 4 5 6 I don't make the
blessing no blessing but I do dry my
hands so they shouldn't stay wet okay
and now we did the second thing everyone
say and now we are ready to
dip I just spilled the first wine on my
Kido so we say
mule one you that happens on face
okay
there we go now we're going to dip the
vegetable into the salt water do you
have that oh carus
okay yeah
okay thank you now who knows why we're
dipping into salt water what does salt
water remind us
of the bitter times reminds of of tears
right right we forgot to mention or I
forgot to mention that on the Seder
table we have something called the
Kara thank you so much I'm going to show
you what that looks like over here
that's a Seder plate we all have that
seder plate let's just announce what we
have over here we have over here the mar
which we're not going to eat now but
that looks like that over
there bitter herbs right we got those M
and we have another kind of
and that's uh we also call that CR right
but that's the bitter herbs this over
here we're going to eat later on that's
called the
koses this is the shank bone that's
going to remind us of the sacrifice that
Pascal
sacrifice this is the egg which is going
to remind us of another sacrifice
brought and the last thing is the
vegetables and that's when I'm going to
eat now um I just need some salt water
and then I'll be all good to go do we
have some salty
water
yeah well if we have salt and we have
water we can mix them together b a bing
we've got salt
water well you know I'm take the
water
okay um okay we're going to do
this and because we don't have salt let
me just see if there's a little
something that's a salty here cry and
tear cry and tear oh no you know what I
bet this is made with salt I what do you
think you think they make dressing with
salt you got to put so we're I'm going
to take a little bit of this do a
makeshift oh that looks gross
okay okay well this is going to be our
salt
water okay everyone we're going to do
carass we take the little vegetable got
a little parsley there we're going to
make a br and the blessing is called PR
here we go everyone
ready
that's great now we just did carpas
everyone say
carpas fantastic now we're going to do
the next thing you should all have matah
on your table take out three matzas but
they should be whole moners not broken
moners take three moners and I'm going
to take
three okay well yeah I
can we go you got
three you're
welcome okay are we ready do we have our
three moners now the reason we have
three matzas is because the top one is
for the
Coen the middle one is for the ly and
the bottom one is for the isra and we're
going to break the middle Mah and I just
heard today A beautiful reason why I
want to share with you quickly what was
the ley's job in the temple now I'm a
Ley so I can tell you are we still going
live yeah we are great what's the ley's
job I'll tell you the ley's job was to
sing he was the singer now I don't have
a great voice the coin job was to bring
the
sacrifices you're a coin well that's
even Holier can't touch you okay the
lady's job us to sing so the reason we
break the middle matah is because if you
want to enter a person's heart their
heart is hard and you want to open up
their heart the way to do that is
through singing through song so we break
the middle matah which is the Ley that's
singing so we're going to break the
middle M and let me show you there's a
certain way to break it here's my middle
one middle one right here you want to
break it into two pieces one bigger and
one smaller the smaller one we're going
to put back in the middle and the bigger
one we're going to hide for the a here
we go ready we're going to break it one
two
three I blew it yeah okay well no that's
okay that's that's my aoma it it sort of
crumbled in my ungentle hands I will
never be a surgeon okay the middle the
the smaller piece is going to go right
in the middle slot right there like a
deck of cards boom okay you're the
winner and here is here's the aicom and
this we're going to I'm going to hide it
so if any of you steal it you can make a
wish I may not say yes but here we go
you're the I'm the I'm the youngest
right I just feel from you right okay so
we just did Yak everyone say
y okay now we get to the part of where
we
discuss God taking us out of Egypt and
the first thing we're going to do is
we're going to point to the matah and
I'm going to say it you can join me I'm
going to say the next paragraph in
both English and Aramaic now most of it
is Hebrew but the next paragraph is
Aramaic because the next paragraph is
when we invite everyone to our seder and
when the was made many years ago the
common language was Aramaic so when you
wanted to invite someone to your home
you would say it in Aramaic but because
we live in the good old USF we're also
going to say in English so that we can
invite all those who want to join our
Rock and seder up here here we go first
in
English and this is going to be on page
20 the English 24 the Hebrew so let's
we'll we'll start with the
English and if you want to say it with
me the right way to do it is you take
actually the middle matah that we just
broke okay we're going to actually take
it out of that slot we're going to hold
it in one hand okay we have to multitask
here we'll hold it in one hand while at
the same time saying this in English
here we go ready this is a bread of
Affliction that our fathers ate the land
of Egypt whoever is hungry let him come
and eat whoever is needy let him come
and celebrate Passover now we are here
next year may we be in the land of
Israel now we are slaves next year may
we be free
men I'm say that in the
Aramaic
we're going to put it back and here I
want to share with you an idea and you
know some ideas we're passionate about
we each have those ideas this is the
idea that I teach my children if you
have to take one word in the English
language and say this this word is what
Judaism is all about this one word what
do you think that word
is love here go around walk around so
they can see their faces walk
okay kindness
goodness
M you you know all the all those words
all those words are are very much right
I want to share with you I want to share
with you my my concept as a rabbi
the word is
empathy everything about
Judaism when a man came to Hill and said
to hill hill teach me the entire Torah
on one foot what did Hill respond the
whole Torah what did he say what is
hateful to you don't do to others don't
do it to your friend or the opposite
love your neighbor like you love
yourself that is empathy empathy is the
reason that God put us in Egypt in the
first place why did God do that why did
he put us into Egypt in bondage and
slavery I will tell you why because he
had a noble mission for us and that
mission was to go out in the world and
teach the world there's a better way and
God says where is there a people who
will understand how bitter it is to be
slaves how difficult it is to be
downtrodden to be abused to be
ignored look at these people men women
children the slaves they're all slaves
for hundreds of years if there's one
nation who will understand my mission
statement for mankind it's them cuz
they've been there and they've done that
they have or and they have widows they
have been downtrodden they have AB been
abused they have been discarded they
will get it they understand it so you
know why we say this is the bread of
Affliction not simply to remember how
tough things were in Egypt if that's all
we're remembering how tough things were
then know we are we're a bunch of
complaining Jews o things were so bad
things were horrible things were
terrible right is that who we are are we
complainers we are well usually not you
know who we are we are
doers we are people who do do you know
that Jewish people give more charity
than any other nationality in the United
States the most donated two Charities do
you know that 91 one out of every four
First Responders was Jewish one out of
four on 9/11 was a Jew do you know that
the average time for an ambulance to
respond in New York is 11 minutes do you
know that the Jewish ambulance Court do
you know 3 minutes are under sometimes
as little as 90 seconds they're there
you blink and they're there because
we're a people that have been through
slavery we know how badly it hurts we
remember the bread of affliction that's
why we eat it we don't remember because
we want to remember bitter times we're
not masochists like oh things were
terrible no we remember it because like
we just read whoever is hungry let them
come and eat whoever is needy let them
join us it is empathy empathy empathy I
feel your pain I love you so much like
you said I care about you so much like
you said it's all empathy does this make
sense to you this is the word the
gasoline in the engine okay now that we
spoke about the bread of Affliction
we're ready to do the Manish so the
youngest person says it that may be me
oh my
gracious oh here come come closer walk
walk amongst the masses it's it's not
fun to watch when it's too far away
zoomed in and zooming out yeah it may
not CL okay here we go
man page 24
to
okay we'll stop here for a moment now we
have some young people in the audience I
think we should call one of them up
isn't that true yes okay we need a
volunteer who's going to come and do the
next
one don't be shy there we go give it up
for
um Jonathan
Jonathan and by the way I think he's
eligible if you have any Grand you're
married no sing okay single boy do you
have any Grand granddaughters um that
going to be Factor uh pharmacist
pharmacist The Honorable profession is a
good-looking pretty tall taller than me
who wears nice glasses okay we're
starting the bidding at Universal value
that everyone believes it everyone
believes that life has
value Isis may not believe it
unfortunately
but do you think that in general We
Believe life has value today most people
do but there was a time in history when
that was not so there was a time in
history that the only people who
believed that life had value were the
Jewish people we were the ones who
believed that life had value do you
think the Romans believed that life had
value no do you know what it was like to
go to a Coliseum on a weekend to the GL
Gladiators to watch the Romans battle
each other to the
death we introduce the value of life so
how do we say life in
Hebrew I'm glad you said that because
you didn't
say you
said means one lifeim means many lives I
am only aive because you are alive my
life only has value because I believe
that your life has has
value together we have life
not isn't that beautiful it's a
beautiful idea okay now thank you we're
going to move on we're going to do in
English the next it happened every we
can say together in page 27 it happened
that Rabbi elzar Rabbi Joshua RAB El and
aaria Rabbi AKA Rabbi Darin were
gathered at the Seder in benab they
discussed the exitus from Egypt all that
night until their students came and said
to them our teachers the time has come
for the reading of the morning
shama that's what they said even if
people are smart even if people have
done it for many years I I am in awe
that the fact that In This Crowd of
wonderful Jewish people here there are
people that are over 90 years old right
that means you have seen the world
evolve
you have seen World War II and perhaps
even before then World War I this is an
amazing thing that we're witnessing and
you're part of that chain and still
you're here remembering what you
remembered last year in the year before
that and the year before that and even
in the concentration camps they
remembered when it was Passover night we
will never forget just like we will
never forget what happened to our
brothers and our sisters
right never forget
yes my father was a rabbi and during the
Holocaust years we spent Passover in
1941 in a
stable hiding from the Germans and we
survived all of us survived what country
was that Greece
wow so for those of you that didn't year
1941 one they spent Passover in a Sader
in a stable the Seder in a stable in
Greece that to stay away it was very
dangerous to live there and here you are
today to tell the tale and and IV who's
your brother
ah and you're a rabbi aren't you give it
up for the
rabbi okay amazing now in order to keep
the Seda moving thank you for sharing
that very much in order to keep the
Seder moving we're going to speak
outside about the four Sons remember the
four Sons I have a painting of them in
my house the four sons and they're known
as the wise son the wicked son the
simple son and the son who is unable to
ask and that's going to be on page 29
let's say that in English the wise son
what does he say what are the
testimonies decrees and ordinances which
Hashem Our God has commanded you
therefore explain to him the laws of the
Passover offering that one may not eat
dessert after the final Taste of the
Passover offering the wicked son what
does he say of what purpose is this work
to you he says to you thereby excluding
himself by excluding himself from the
community of Believers he denies the
basic principles of Judaism therefore
blunt his teeth and tell him it is
because of this that Hashem did so for
me when I went out of Egypt for me but
not for him had he been there he would
not have been redeemed um can you please
come here now walk right through
everyone
come we want to make
sure David that's TR thank you what we
want to do David is we want to make sure
that everyone everyone gets air time cuz
there's a lot of people watching so what
we're going to do is uh as we do this
don't worry about it will you be okay if
he walks around so that we okay so don't
just stand over there because it's not
interesting to the viewer okay walk
around do your job so F there we go now
we're up to the third one the simple son
what does he say what is this tell him
with a strong hand that Hashem take us
out of Egypt from the house of bondage
and the son who's unable to ask you must
initiate the subject for him as it is
stated you shall tell your son on that
day it is because of this that Hashem
did so for me when I went out of
Egypt my dear
friends the simple son does not know how
to ask who is the simple son
today yes let me be very very real with
you right now I am a campus Rabbi I have
lots of students do you know how many
Jewish students students are on the
campuses
today about a half a
million 500,000 Jewish students Harvard
Yale Princeton GW upen
ruers Minnesota Berkeley San Francisco
Kansas Buffalo
Maryland UCLA all over the country now
ask yourself this how many will attend a
Seder a tiny fraction a tiny fraction in
a campus with 5,000
Jews maybe 300 are popping into the
hillo where's the other
4700 you know what the answer is they
are the son that doesn't know how to ask
they are the ones that don't even
know if they're studious they're doing
their homework if not they're playing a
video game on pass overnight they don't
even know that there are questions it is
the great tragedy of Our
Generation we weep over the Jews that
are lost during the
Holocaust can I tell you something do
you know what I'm doing right as soon as
this saor is
over I am meeting a young lady as soon
as I leave here I'm meeting a young
lady she comes in before
finish she's not Jewish she's Muslim
she's going out with a Jewish
boy and that will be the end of his
Judaism he didn't know how to
ask we we you and I have to be the ones
to bring them to a
Sader to introduce them to matah and mor
and wisdom and understanding and
questions and probing it's us because if
not there's a fifth category which we
didn't mention you know what the fifth
category is it's the boy that doesn't
come to the Seder it's the girl that
doesn't show up we have four categories
the wise the Wicked the simple and the
one who doesn't ought to ask but the
fifth category is the one that never
even came to the table
unfortunately that's the story of
America we have to fight the good fight
everyone please fill up your cup we're
going to do
V okay and we're going to turn to the
bottom of page 30 or
31 oh than is that the great
that's um
I is
what you want
the
ahead I'm are you
Russian
barar Central
Asia
used to be it used to be going
to it's part of the holiday okay here we
go we're going to we're going to um lift
up the cup and we're going to say the
following in English and then Hebrew
page 31 one at the
bottom it is this that has stood by our
fathers and us for not only one has
risen against us to annihilate us but in
every generation they rise against us to
annihilate us but the Holy One blessed
is he rescues us from their
hand
for
we put the cup
down never have those words been more
appropriate than today we are living in
moments of chaos Isis on one side Hamas
on the other Iran trying to get nuclear
bombs everyone wants death to Israel
death to the Jewish people wherever you
go anti-Semitism is risen
threefold in France people are walking
around outa because they're too they're
too scared to walk synagogues are
closing even in America cemeteries are
being defiled every
generation we think is this it is this
the end and all of a sudden the almighty
blessed is he he takes care of Isis he
took care of Mubarak he takes care of
the Muslim Brotherhood he takes care of
the Naes and destroys them to Pieces he
takes care of communist Russia and one
day when all of this wickedness is
destroyed the almighty will say you know
what why did you start up with my chosen
people the people are the apple of my
eye I'm not happy that's what the
almighty says so we lift our cup
saying hopefully soon mhia will come and
hopefully all this wickedness will
perish for the face of the Earth amen
amen and here we go we'd like to welcome
we have somebody very special here we
have Rabbi rudenberg you may want to say
shalom is a big Rabbi in Queens uh the
man with a beard there Rabbi
Rutenberg and he saw his son and Rabbi
rudenberg is the head of the
organization emed that put this
beautiful shindig together the Seder so
he's the head of the organization so
let's give it up for the good
Rabbi okay that's great now what we're
going to do is we're going to turn to
the bottom of page 36 at 37 because it's
time to recount the plagues yes those
plagues and in order to recount them
what we do is we take a little bit of
wine on our Pinky and we take it and we
put it onto the plate each time we say a
plague and the reason why we do that is
that the plagues gave the
Egyptians difficulty pain and although
they deserved it we as Jewish people we
don't gloat when people have pain even
when they deserve it so we take a little
bit of wine or grape juice out of our
cup so here we go starting from the
bottom of 36 everyone say blood blood
fire and Columns of smoke colum smoke
and in Hebrew do the same
thing now let say the English another
explanation of the preceding verse each
phrase represents two plagues hence
Mighty and two outstretched arm to Great
o two signs two wonders to on page 39
these are the 10 plagues which the Holy
One blessed is he brought upon the
Egyptians in Egypt and before we before
we say them let you before you say them
in Hebrew let's say them in English
these were plagues that
were that that smokee the Egyptians and
it's good to know historically that the
Egypt did not recover for 150 years
after the Exodus in archaeology there's
no mention of Egypt for the next 150
years that means these plagues utterly
wiped out Egypt and its ability to grow
so here we're going to do it in English
everyone together blood with your pinky
frogs
lies wild
beasts
pestilence
boils
hail
Locus
Darkness plague of the first corn let's
do that in Hebrew with the
tune
each of the 10 plagues three were by
land three were by air three were by sea
and one was the plague of the first born
the plagues that each lasted for seven
days seven days the Nile was Bloody 7
days there were frogs everywhere even in
people's beds even in people's bread
lice we know how painful lice can be
they were everywhere biting and causing
all sorts of Heartache boils wild beasts
Locust eating everything
up all sorts of animals died darkness
and then finally the death of the
firstborn how many people people here
are the first born in their family raise
your
hand firstborn you are considered extra
chosen I'm not the firstborn I have an
older sister but those who were the
firstborn you should know that you were
saved because you would have been
destroyed had you been Egyptian living
in those times but Hashem chose
you now we're going to turn to page 40
one of my favorite songs in all of p and
you all know the
tune here we
go
next
one one
more
hey die
die know
who wants to
dance
one
more
okay here we go we need two volunteers
to dance with us here get the rabbi the
rabbi's got a
dance
and you're 90 come on let's do
this next p here we go he
one
more everyone stand dance with
your come you can
do
die
shom sh
Shalom sh
sh
Shalom
what thank you that was
wonderful shalom

shalom shalom hey hey shom
shalom
sh
shom
Shalom
sh
sh shalom
shom
shalom
shalom beautiful beautiful
wow
is they
everybody
Shalom thank you that was thank you wow
give it up give it up give it up bravo
bravo ano flowers flowers
tulips there we go now we're going to do
the last thing and then we're going to
drink the second cup of wine and the
last thing we're going to see this on
we're going to we're going to see this
all the
way on everyone Turn the page 43
43 okay we're starting from r
gam okay are we're going to say it only
in English and here we go Rabin gam it's
the second paragraph from the
bottom RAB and Gamel used to say whoever
has not explained the following three
things on the Passover has not fulfilled
his duty namely PES the Passover
offering matah the unle bread M the
bitters PES why did our fathers eat a
Passover offering during the period when
the temple still stood because the Holy
One blessed as he passed over the houses
of our fathers in Egypt as it is written
you shall say it is a Passover offering
for Hashem who passed over the houses of
the children of Israel in Egypt when he
struck the Egyptians and spared our
houses and the people bow down
prostrated them themselves matah
everyone point to your mat while you say
this point matah why do we eat this
unleavened bread because the dough of
our fathers did not have time to become
leaven because the King of Kings the
Holy One blessed a SE revealed himself
to them and redeemed them as it is
written they baked the dough which they
had brought out of Egypt into unleavened
bread for it had not fermented because
they were driven out of Egypt and could
not delay nor have they prepared any
provisions for the way and laughting is
m I'm going to hold this point point up
here Point towards this everyone point
and
say why do we eat This Bitter herb
because the Egyptians bittered the lives
of our fathers in Egypt as it says they
bittered their lives with hard labor
with mortar and bricks and with all
manner of Labor in the field whatever
service they made them perform was with
hard
labor okay now we turn
we turn all the way till page
48 lift up your cup of grape juice SL
wine cranberry
juice okay we'll make
another don't forget to lean forget to
lean
we just finished the longest part of the
Seder and that's called mget so let's
victoriously say mgin m now we get on to
the eating part this is the part that I
know one person here is waiting
for I guess we all all right okay so
we're going to wash our hands for
bread so how are we going to do this
folks and friends from EMT should we do
the washing of the hands okay I don't
know if we're going to be able to do
everyone so basically um basically we're
going to do R um you got a little bit of
water take the water and like the little
water put on your hands there okay you
got R you got a little water over there
yeah it's okay put a little on the
carpet a little dry in two seconds there
we're all
friends to a little bit there we go
exactly like exactly what you did there
we go there we
go okay now that you washed your hands
you take your moner and here's what
you're going to do you're going to make
two blessings one blessing is called the
Moi blessing and the other one's the mat
so here we go ready
everyone
don't eat yet drop the bottom one now
make the Second Blessing which can be
found on the next page which is on page
50 or
51 and now you munch on your matah
you're munching on the top matah you got
the top one
you don't have mat
we plenty
mat could you imagine
this let's see let's see that a big
piece oh such a big piece yeah I know
such a big piece is right he's very
generous that's a big phone what it's
samung which one Mega it must be the I
have no idea it's not my phone I think
oh you you're filming now
yeah you can look at it while we
film the same as your mine mine is also
Samsung but it's not as big as
yours oh his his has a extended battery
pack that's why oh okay yeah no but the
screen is much bigger too possibly yeah
you could
ask I need I need to
excuse
me if everybody wants to eat we do the M
or not oh yeah so give me one second no
problem no problem before we eat before
we we have the bitter herbs and we can't
forget because herb is going to be upset
if we forget him so he'll be bitter okay
bitter herbs here we go ready take
you've got you've got this over here you
see the green it's actually Roma lettuce
now watch what we're going to do well
let's do it the right way take out your
red take out this okay this is your
horse radish and we want to open it up
and we also want to open up this brown
stuff which we call koses okay let's do
this right okay we're going to take take
this and what we want to do is we want
to dip it first in the
red okay you got it on the red and then
dip it
also in the kosa so I'm going to walk
around and make sure we got it right
this is what it should look
like the fanciest restaurants here we go
see
little have oh you don't have any
lettuce
oh that that is unold for Here We Go
There lettuce and I got more I got
more plenty
of you know what I say I say letu us
have lettu us yeah there we go that's a
funny joke here
do you all have
letters okay now we're going to make the
blessing on
Theon wake
up
one more thing and we're ready for the
meal take everyone take the bottom mat
that you have
left bottom
mat and put a little bit of this on the
matah a little bit of this just the way
you were doing it before that's called K
okay so let's do that take your mat put
some of the red and some of the kosas
it's called K which means a sandwich and
what you're going to do watch you're
going to take the Mata break it in half
and make it a sandwich so in the middle
you're going to put the red and the
brown and make a nice crunchy
sandwich okay does anyone need I've got
all sorts of yeah here we
go
we also have some lettuce
here we have lettuce if anyone lettu
here more lettuce and everyone say with
me
now you eat it you'll lean lean when you
eat it lean a little lean on me Lean on

because the words really touch you so
you're going to turn to page
27 27 and it's the words we were slaves
to pharaoh and Egypt by the way those
who are live streaming it you're you
move in case somebody calls in the
middle just click ignore and click live
stream again because it will stop the
stream in the middle okay okay I were
going to say we were slaves here we go
we were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt but
Hashem Our God took us out from there
with a mighty hand and an outstretched
arm the Holy One blessed is he taken our
fathers out from Egypt than we our
children and our children's children
would have remained subservient to
Pharaoh in Egypt even if we are all men
of wisdom understanding experience and
knowledge of the Torah it would still be
an obligation upon us to tell about the
Exodus from Egypt the more one tells
about the discussion of The Exodus the
more he is
praiseworthy so here you are dear people

come this Sunday night to celebrate the
Exodus I admire you and I respect you
