Stop looking for signs

He was used to a very proper synagogue with the proper decorum, everything the way he kind of expected it. We haven't yet prayed. Rabbin Yaman Klitsker was trying to convey to this fellow while you are expecting things to be preached by signs the way things work here. We integrate, we develop, we we internalize. You can't just be inspired by a sign on the wall. You have to go through the process and actually pray, actually do, actually think, actually integrate. It's not enough. We can't just be inspired by pictures. We have to be enlightened by real connection, by real purpose and meaning. So often in life, we're looking for a sign. We're looking for something that's going to tell us, hey, this is worth living. This is worth it. This is true. This is false. We're looking for somebody else to tell us truth. We need to take a few minutes sometimes and not rely on the truth that's on the sign, but find the truth within oursel. [Music]
