What is unique about my approach to
counseling? I follow what's called the
solution focus approach. Instead of
trying to identify the issues, then
solve them and create strategies. I'm
trying to identify the outcome that
you're looking for. If we were to figure
out the perfect strategy, if you were to
have the perfect communication or the
perfect trust, perfect love, perfect
empathy, whatever it is, if somehow you
had the perfect strategy and your
marriage was back together, how would
you notice? What difference would that
make to you? What is the outcome you're
really looking for, the result you're
looking for? And when we can identify
that, we can start building that because
you can start looking for that. You can
start thinking about how you've had that
in the past, even moments of it, and and
getting that clarity. Then what emerges
from that is strategies that had worked
for you in the past. You'll build your
own strategies.
