Your BELIEFS must be CHALLENGED!

Brett Stevens was recently in our synagogue and that was one of the points he made how important it is to watch and read and follow the opinions you disagree with what we know and believe but never challenged unless you also are willing to consider the things that you disagree with and they'll make your arguments better if you let someone push you you'll come out with stronger Arguments for what you believe too The Way Forward has to be people being able to talk to people and say I don't like you as a person but that's actually true that's a good idea separating those out again there are also red lines this idea that a bunch of college students all of a sudden would be endorsing Osama Bin Laden's letter to America or justifying terrorism as much as I do believe in open-mindedness and open debate and discussion I also do believe that those are not violable lines for any context or any reason terrorism is never okay full stop raping women is never okay full stop that is what allows the freedom of ideas and debate and discussion to sit on top of it
