and hi everybody wishing you a shana
tova a good and amazing year
i want to give you a little bit of a
description about what's going to be
happening back at shul for rosh hashanah
we're so excited we're so eager to come
together
as a family as a community those who are
able to come we can't wait to see you
those who are unable those who are
diverting at home those who yet can't
join us in a big crowd
we understand we love you we're thinking
about you that's your avodah
that's your job this year whatever you
need we sent out a
entire list of what to say what not to
say if you have any questions
anything we can do for you you'll let us
know we have an amazing brs that's
having a blast
chauffeur around the entire montoya
circle every development
has at least one most of them two
chauffeur blowing on the second day of
rosh hashanah people could come out
their front door even those who can't
join for a minion
every single person in the community who
wants to will be able to hear the show
for
those who are coming to our campus let
me tell you what you can expect you're
getting dropped off at your home an
envelope with wristbands for everybody
who's going to be attending the minion
you can only come on the campus if
you're wearing a wristband
security or compliance volunteers will
be looking for the wristbands
you get a wristband you can come no
wristband unfortunately
as badly as we want to we can't welcome
you the wristbands are going to be
color-coded
depending on what minion we have more
magnum than ever indoors
outdoors outdoors in an air-conditioned
tent which is the equivalent of indoors
outdoors with no air conditioning no
fans and each minion will be color-coded
so our security our volunteers can help
you get to your minion
without delays or without backup without
build up so people can remain spaced
as much as possible we've been hard at
work in order to ensure that our campus
will be as safe as possible
as you see our doors continue to be
propped open so we don't have to share
surfaces
you don't have to touch a handle you
don't have to touch a door let me tell
you some of the other stuff that's been
going on
we have upgraded our restrooms new fans
and new exhausts have been installed
so the restrooms now can be used it's a
long time rosh hashanah to be here
without access to a restroom
the restrooms will be monitored they
will be cleaned and sterilized only two
people at a time will be allowed to go
into the restroom
additionally a non-toxic epa approved
hospital grade disinfectant system
is now running in the air ducts in this
area in order to keep our air clean
sterile and as healthy as possible
we're in need of volunteers we got to
tag the seats there's a lot of other
work to do if you're able and willing to
come
to give to the community to be among
those the community relies and
and leans on please let us know you can
email me reg
at brsonline.org you can email or call
the shule office but we could use your
volunteer
we can use your help here's a very
important point
we have hundreds and hundreds and
hundreds of people who've registered to
come back
the seats are safe in fact come inside
let's take a look you'll see
how we're able to space we've got
organized in pods
we've got ones twos threes even a couple
fours
obviously immediate family those who are
in a pod can sit together
everybody else is really well spaced we
are observing more than six feet of
space
in order to ensure the safety as best as
we can
but you know it's jarring it's startling
if you've not been back to shul yet
and the first time you're gonna come is
on rosh hashanah it's distracting it's
overwhelming there's so much to dhaban
for
you shouldn't come and spend your first
time back you're looking around and
trying to figure out where you are
so i can't encourage you strongly enough
you don't have to wait to rosh hashanah
to come back
join us for min kamarav come to
sleekhorse and chakras we have many
times
all safely spaced all organized in a way
where you can feel comfortable and we
can keep you
safe and well don't wait till rosh
hashanah first come back
look around get a feel become
comfortable in this new environment
so when you come here on rosh hashanah
it's not for the first time it feels
more familiar
and you can connect to the davening in
the best and holiest way
possible we have security guards all
over the campus
we have volunteers who will be helping
people get to where they need to go so
there's no build
up again please your personal property
you're not going to be able to leave you
here overnight
please bring your own moxor if you can
we've made our maksaram available
to those who registered in advance we've
got first aid kits around the building
as i mentioned we've got security we've
got an amazing rosh hashana lined up in
order to keep us all safe in order to be
able to keep us all healthy
and look out for an email right after
rosh hashanah with all the yom kippur
plans
you're going to get the wristbands
dropped off first of all thank the
volunteers we could not do this without
the people who've stepped up
and be among them it's the greatest
merit you could have coming into rosh
hashanah to volunteer help serve the
community
and be part of something bigger than
yourself wear your wristband
bring minimal things when you come to
shul dress warm the air conditions
always cold
that fight over the thermostat listen
those are the tallest the kettle are
always going to win
so if you need to dress warmly so you
can make sure to stay warm on
rosh hashanah and i want to leave one
last message for those who are unable to
join us for those who are going to be
home or even those who are coming but
you're at a minion
it's two hours three three and a half
hours there's even a menu in the
community that's one hour long
for people who are 65 and up and maybe
we're all missing out this year we're
struggling to find inspiration to be
motivated
to be able to elevate ourselves through
the davening that we're used to
maybe some people are used to backup
choir singing everybody all together
it's hard this year it's a beautiful
paragraph we say the fifth hallelujah
that describes all
naval vahinor all the different
instruments and it ends
the ibanezer has an amazing comment he
says in fact that the
they were debating the musicians which
instrument best glorifies hashem which
instrument best exalts hashem
and ultimately you know what the
conclusion was
with all the instruments in the world
with all the symphonies and orchestras
in the world
it's the human soul it's us each and
every one of us we
are the greatest instrument there is so
even if you're home and you're unable to
be elevated by a hazard if you're in
shul it's not the dominating that we're
used to
we have to dig deep within ourselves and
be that instrument
we have to rely on ourselves this year
to create an experience
to feel that inspiration so i want to
wish everyone aksiva vahasimatova a
goodyear a healthy year a happy or a
holy year
a year filled with bracha and nachas and
simha and please got a year in which
very soon
we'll be able to come back together in
health and safety and well-being
to enjoy the company of a community
