Message from Coach Bruce Pearl, Auburn Tigers Men's Basketball

coach Pearl you're unbelievable you came behind our bhima and thank you for inviting me here in Auburn to come behind your bhima here at the very Arena we appreciate it can you tell us a little bit about this week and what it meant to you athletes for Israel ncsy coming to Auburn Alabama hear your uh your town shows some appreciation to you and your team for what you're doing you know Rabbi it was it was amazing we had we've had a fantastic weekend here and I've been most importantly I think the kids have had a great experience when I went to Israel I expected and I've been there many times you know to fulfill the love and the Embrace and get closer to God every time I go it delivers but one thing I didn't experience was when I brought my team just how excited the people in Israel were particularly the youth how excited they were to have our team there and they began to make some friendships and relationships and and and these young kids wanted to come to Auburn and say hey guys thank you for coming to Israel we've had some really nice interactions our Hillel is not very big here at Auburn but they've been involved in everything and it's been a it's been a wonderful weekend of June culture amazing I actually met with the hotel students last night not a lot thirty thousand students at Auburn handful of Jewish students right essentially The Herald director is Bruce Pearl they were telling me the Shabbat dinners those experiences with you you're a wonderful role model for them and for all of us and constantly being public and support of Israel and fighting anti-Semitism and standing up for the Jews you're using your platform it's not easy you're doing it well and we're so deeply appreciative and we came to say thank you we've got our students and csy athletes for Israel home opener tonight opening a game of the season really positive the team and our kids will be cheering waving their Israeli Flags living in the town of Auburn know what it means that you and your team are so well Israel how you feeling about the game how you feeling about the season I'm you know I'm anxious about the game tonight um you know we're we're we're gonna we're a good team that chance to be a very good team but we'll see we got work to do plan to really experience George Mason team a veteran team uh we'll have our hands full tonight and I do think it's great that the kids are going to be there in the students section with our other students and um being loud and being proud and you know for me it's all teamwork it's all togetherness it's all coming together it's all finding common ground respect that she's respecting each other's differences um but I'm I'm this campus at Auburn has got some wonderful judeo-christian principles being an Auburn man being an Auburn women's what it's all about I think these students from all these Jewish students from all the country came here they saw that with their own eyes they did and I'm so proud to be and privileged to be part of this delegation with ncsy athletes for Israel to honor you to honor the Auburn team to say thank you for what you're doing continue to stand up for Israel continue to stand up for the Jewish people thank you for all they do coach thank you for welcoming it's great thank you great to be with you thank you
