you said you know a lot about Israel but you didn't know a lot about Zionism can you clarify that statement what exactly does that mean Zionism is a philosophy and a movement right it's both and uh the state of Israel is something that exists it was the achievement of all of those thinkers but it came out very different there was never a definition given to Zionism they never got up at one of the Zionist conferences and said hey this is what we're talking about everybody assumed they knew and if you think about it for a second is lism a religious or a secular movement is it capitalist is it socialist there's no definition of Zionism is a very open door type of thing where everybody can walk through and find their place in this the one overriding feature was that we are a people we have rights as a people and we have a land that's ours and we need to go back to that land and we should rule that land that should be our land that's the one thing that everybody agreed to within his zist [Music] camp
