here's your one minute motivation last
year paid back the seder is over it's
two o'clock in the morning one of our
guests come running back there's rabbi
you have to follow me I come to the show
when I find this dumpster there's a
raging fire threatening the entire
building it's ruined our entire
community
right after I arrived the fire
department came someone notified them
they put up a fire thank God they
extinguished the tree the dumpster they
saved the building they saved the
community I asked him what happened
where'd this fire come from they pointed
to this room see this drum on earth
pizza we burn all the comments an
amazing custodial team dead but out the
drum when the time for burning ended
they poured water on it and they waited
till the drum was cold there was no
smoke it was entirely out he dumped the
context into the contents into the
dumpster but you know what happened in
that dumpster there must have been a
small pocket a small area of air there
was an ember that was still glowing
there was something left it still had a
spark and over the course of time when
it was fed the air from the dumpster it
turned into a raging fire and the
message for us is very simple as long as
there's an ember inside you as long as
there's a little spark as long as it
really something even when we feel like
we've been extinguished even when we
feel like we're cold there's no flame
all you have to do is feed it and
nourish it and fan it and turn that
ember into a raging fire a passion for
life professionally personally in your
family in your career most of all in
your relationship with Hashem and in our
character to become the very best
versions of ourselves burned that ember
into a raging fire have a motive any day
