hi this is D olowski and welcome to the
RAB olowski
show and whether you watching with our
friends over at T time wherever you
watch or listen to your podcast as
always it's a delight to have you along
for the
adventure uh as I mentioned uh we are
something in the middle of a fundraising
drive to be able to cover our expenses
for the RAB Alami show there is even a
dream to expand it uh if you can imagine
yeah we're actually looking ahead cuz
you
know you may not know this obviously
because you're watching but there are a
lot of people who have never even heard
of the rabsky show they're spending
their time watching other
people if you can even imagine such a
thing and uh it we really have to try to
get the word out there uh to people and
uh so we would like to make some
something of an advertising campaign
it's amazing how many times I meet
people who may have even heard of me and
have no idea that this uh that this
exists and uh you know we just have to
feel bad for these people say a little
prayer for them and you know maybe we'll
do some advertising and reach out to
these people so that they can find out
that this exists and they can become
part of our online community and also
gain from it but we these things take
money and uh anyway so we uh we
encourage people to please sponsor you
can sponsor an episode you can sponsor a
um uh the question and answer you can
sponsor the five minute paraa and uh
somebody wrote me and said can we just
um you know make uh donations small
donations and the answer is yes yes
absolutely you can on the website uh you
can go in and we'll collect them all
together and uh give everybody a big
collector shout out so uh you know uh so
by all means anyone who would like to
never feel nothing nothing is too small
yeah to to help us along and we have a
sponsor for this episode in honor of
rowski schita I've been listening to
your show from the beginning that's
understand that's over 200 of these
things yeah whatever this is love the
stories jokes schmoozing and the D Torah
you know I do a lot of those things he
didn't mention the recipe yeah I also we
also do that I am also not a g however I
am a
giver kazak and please don't stop lots
of love AA G right back at you AA we
love you too and uh you know what can I
tell you you you have a you have the
Mitzvah of being ma to many to thousands
and thousands of people and um uh the
fact of the matter is that uh uh there's
every now and then somebody stumbles
onto the rabbi olowski show and they and
they say we went back to the beginning
you know there's somebody now who's
making comments on every uh um uh
episode I've ever done going back in
time and I'm just monitoring uh the the
progress as they move through all of the
shows have ever been made anyway so and
to everybody who's uh who's helping out
makes this possible well this is a group
effort I just talk that's what I do
that's the only thing I know how to do
so okay so we're in the middle of our
chabas series somebody said to me I had
no idea you have so much to say about
chabas well if you've been watching the
podcast I have so much to say about
[Laughter]
everything know I am not like the person
who they once said he's a man of few
words but he uses them over and over and
over and over again no I have lots of
new words yeah like uh carbuncle that's
one that you don't come up with too
often you
know or contiguous very hard to move
into a sentence you know well
omnius another one parad shift all right
whatever but uh but the not as much as
my good friend Rella we really have to
have him on the shot I don't know we've
never had him on but uh his his
vocabulary of course exceeds mine and uh
as does his knowledge of of uh so many
different areas you know and uh this
this secular woman in an office once
said you know you you religious people
you
borm you're empty people says you don't
know about history and you don't know
aboutut so she really picked on the
wrong guy so he says you know what you
ask me three questions on history and
ask me three questions on Zionism and
then I'll ask you you three
[Laughter]
questions anyway she was you know amazed
you really pick sound like you don't
know who you're picking on you know
Rabbi Dr David gotle who is um Prof he
still has his position as a professor of
philosophy in John's Hopkins so he
became a bu so he's teaching and of
course he's dressed like a and he's you
know teaching whatever it is and some
kid doesn't know who he is and says well
uh Rabbi I don't know if you're familiar
with philosophy but in philosophy we'
say the following and he seenly
listening and everyone was going like no
no no and when the guy was all done with
this question he's like that's so
interesting I wrote my doctrate on this
and he just starts writing equations on
the
board this guy's head was spinning so be
careful who you start up with you know
you never know yeah this guy sees what
he believes to be aish fellow on the on
the on the subway and he starts yelling
at him in Yiddish you know you people
you come dress this way and here we are
trying to make it an American settle in
and you know you're just an
embarrassment and the fell looks to him
and says in a slightly
Germanic
um accented English as I'm sorry so I I
don't understand what you're saying I'm
Amish so the guy say oh I'm sorry I I
have a lot of respect for people's
religions and then Rabbi Dr tuski said
back to him in yish yeah other people's
religions just not
yours so you never know who you're
starting up with anyway all right so uh
we are
continuing our shabas series and uh I
decided I wanted to talk about chabas
miros you know I've never really I I
have a sheer on one shabas Zer that I go
into Bean you know but for the most part
I've never done it I have one Shear that
I gave on uh particular zmer but for the
most part I haven't really talked about
it I I I don't have
time with uh with the limitations that
we have uh it'll be PM soon you know uh
to go into all of the Mir but I'm going
to do a
two-parter and uh I'm going to do a
three-parter I hear four
part uh I'm going to do uh a
three-parter uh this time I would like
to deal with the zirus some of the zirus
that we sing Friday night and next time
I want to do the zirus of shabas day and
then I want to go into the tunes we're
not I'm not just singing today there's
no singing singing will be in uh the
third episode so you'll just have to
hold on if that's what you're looking
for all right so uh so just to to
outline it but I want to do Friday night
like I say um I feel like the more
people have connection to uh to what
they're saying and more of an
understanding of what they're saying the
more meaningful it's going to be yeah
so I just have a standard bener here and
I would like to just go through Friday
night so you know we first come to the
table we sing
sh there's uh T hug some people do sh
one time some people do it three times
it's interesting and the question and
answer is I actually got a question
recently why do we say sh three times so
the answer is some people don't but
those who do whenever you say something
three times it's always kak that's why
you do it three times do three times Mak
something makes it stronger and
therefore things that are important we
have a tendency to say three times and
Shalom is something that is important
sh hello
hello and greetings Angels who serve the
Lord uh angels of the most
high who have been sent to us by uh the
King of
Kings you notice we changed it here
instead of Mal now we're calling them
Mal welcome angels of Peace angels of
the king most high bless
us
and
then yeah and thanks for coming goodbye
so uh so there's
um well what's what's the basis of this
this is a relatively new uh pisone
actually this is not very old it's based
on AAR gar chabas says that uh Friday
night two angels come to your house a
good angel and a bad Angel and if they
come in and they find the table set and
the candles lit and the house is clean
and everything is set for shabas the
good Angel gives you a Braha every
chabas should be like this and the bad
Angel answers
amain if however they come in and it's
not shabas dick in your house then the
bad Angel says I hope every shabas will
be like this and the good Angel has no
choice but to say
Amen so that's the that's the gamar and
this is based on that so since we know
the angels are coming in we welcome them
in now some people are not happy with
this because the implication is that um
we're uh we can see
Angels it's very interesting the the gar
bras uh brings down a little you say
before you go to the bathroom you tell
your guardian
angels who accompany you uh wait outside
I'm going to the bathroom and till I
come back so don't go anywhere it's
already brought down in the
tour but by the time that they reach the
regular they don't say this anymore
because it implies that you can see the
angels and
uh very few of us are on the level to be
able to see our malim who are
accompanying us so it's as if we're
saying that these malim are here and
we're welcoming them in so some people
don't say shim for this
reason um
there were there were people who
objected sometimes they would say it
quietly to themselves because there was
the minute to say it but uh they uh they
were a little nervous about this but
okay uh and even those who say it they
have a little problem with the paragraph
the end which says well goodbye thanks
for coming don't let the door slam
behind you so uh so how do we explain
this so what we're saying is we're
welcoming them in because if two Mal are
coming into our house we welcome this
they are representatives of I may not
have to see them to know that they're
there and I say
oh that I know the tell us come home
with me Friday night and I would like to
welcome
them and then I asked him to give me a
br right obviously a good BR I'm sitting
at the table table's all set for shabas
I'm singing to I want them to give me I
want the good one to give me a and the
other one the
answer yeah so I
say come in look around say how I'm
doing then give me a then say you don't
have to leave but whenever you go I want
to say goodbye because I'm not going to
know when you leave so I'm saying
goodbye now that's the sh yeah that's
what we
sing there are then uh people say
the which is also a relatively new my
father-in-law used to say it at the
table some people have the M some people
don't I'm not going into it only because
my m is not to say it so uh this is very
rabovsky Min Centric because uh you know
if I don't do it what am I I'm G tell
you about it I feel feel it's not
appropriate granted I see the Mal when
they come Friday night but that doesn't
mean that I know everything all right
then we sing
AES ases K is a very interesting uh it's
it's the end
of
um we talk about this special
woman and uh some people say
SCH wrote it about his um his Alaba
Rus and um that's who he wrote about in
mishle and uh she is the AES she is the
woman who has uh joined with clly Israel
becomes the Aus is one of the imos and
so he wrote this about her and so Friday
night we sing this uh some people say
it's a special song that's being sung to
the wife of the household you
know
um okay of course what if you're not
married bunch of of guys sitting in
Yeshiva what if you're a
woman do so other people understand this
as a marshall for the way that we're
describing our relation with a
KES in which case based on what we said
in the last episode about Theus of
chabas it makes
sense that it would be on Friday night
because Friday night our PR Ro to shabas
is you
know it's the feminine expression where
we are being Mel clel is the is the wife
in this instance so we are saying
to how we are dedicated to you and our
love for you and this is CL Isel and
it's relationship to
a which fits in okay so different ways
of understanding
and I'm not going to go through the
whole thing because that would just take
more than the time for this particular
podcast but that's where it goes then we
make KES I'm not going to go through
Kish you you uh you know Kish yeah I
could say shot in it but let's let's
just uh Move Along because I want to get
to the
ziros
um
Rak once said that he made a mistake
that he didn't sing shabas Mir
chabas mirus is part of the on shabas
but these were written by great
people and so I'm only going to go
through the ones again that when I was
in yiva that we sang Friday night we
didn't sing all of them the first one is
Kadesh Kadesh is actually very very
beautiful all of these things are very
beautiful if you know the
words mades
if you the way you're supposed
to and if you uh keep the negatives of
shabas the way hasem wants us to so
we're not M it so you notice there two
things and this theme is going to repeat
throughout
so
with will give you tremendous
reward everyone will be his in his and
by his flag means you'll have your
place those who love and are waiting for
the building of
the um on shabis which is KES we are
happy like we have received a special
gift
of explain this a
second um we lift our hands and we say
to Hashem are you who give
this so what we're talking about over
here is the K shabas which is like the B
mikdash um we spoke about this when we
talked about the malas of chabas that we
don't build the mishkan on shabas
because the chabas is the base of MDES
it's the mikdash in time just like the
mishkan is the mikdash in place the
mishkan and time so we keep this it's
it's brings us so to speak into the
bases we seek Hashem the descendants of
Abraham who was called his
beloved and because um we love
it we hurry to bring in shabas and we
take our time taking it out so this is
of course the idea of to shabas we add
to shabas at the beginning we add to
shabas at the end but we're saying we do
that because we love
it something that you don't love you
wanted to get over with quickly
something that you do love you want it
to continue going and keep
lasting this is the day that Hashem made
we're happy and we
rejoice and we're happy to keep the
shabas which is focusing on the
Lo we talked about this how some people
just look at chabas as a day of
negatives no even that we're happy
to and to set up our even though right
the the uh the
uim give us more of an opportunity on
chabas when we make an we can carry
within our and share with other
people to be able to go beyond the city
limit to go and hear for a Mitzvah to
hear a Shear or something like that the
a we're happy to make those aim and to
keep all of
your when the a of course is the Ron
we're adding in the the Rabon as
wellz shabas remember the Torah of Moshe
shabas is written in it now
yeah yeah what what what's the what's
the extra idea here
so it's carved into the luos
chabas and the
toyra and chabas are both compared to
aala and aala is of course adorned with
24 Kim as we're told in yesu and that's
why Rashi says a just like a cola gets
24 um pieces of jewelry so too does the
Torah have
24 tanak and shabas is also a
boa so this idea of it a reference toas
in the
Torah is
interesting we say shabas
morning
he got
the and shabas was written in the L and
it's also written in the
T so that sounds like a little
redundant so uh what's what's
interesting is you know that the Torah
we have is not the Torah that mosha got
on har that was written
by the first L were broken we lost that
Torah the Torah we have is a new
Torah R is that um we have a din of
paruma which is only because of the agel
had it not been for the agel the paruma
wouldn't be there we have other things
that talk about death had we gotten
those first luos there wouldn't be any
more death in the world so there's a
different Torah that we lost and there's
a Torah that we got and the overlap is
shabas chabas was in the first luos and
it's in the Torah that we have and
that's the introduction to it it's the
overlap between the old Torah and the
new Torah and that's why we say it's
written in the luos and it's also
written in the T and I believe that's
what he's referring to
here it's written the
Torah and it's also written on the
yes those who are pure will inherit it
and make it holy but
M stopped from all the that he did and
we do that on
chabas chabas is
always the whole the shabas is
inherently Kadesh the purpose of our
shabas is to tap into that kadha but the
kadha is inherent it's not created it's
it's
real
K and all the descendants of yob will
honor shabas like the king's
commandment we will rest on it we will
be happy and we will eat the meals
that's when we say it's
k
so the idea of the T the three meals
that we eat span the entire chabas to
bring it together just as the three Tas
that I mentioned of Aris shakas and Min
uh grow in intensity so do the three
meals that's why the mirus of shalas is
very intense spiritual
expression
the congregation of Israel will keep
it give you to those who recognize you
Hashem you are the god of Vengeance you
take revenge but of course we keep
chabas and that will protect
us we keep
and we'll be happy when we see
the and your
face bring back the
B help those who
rest who rest from plowing and planting
the p talks about plowing and
planting uh it's a connection between
shita and shabas and in fact there's a
relation between shabas and shita and
we're making reference to that type of a
shabas
too POS and and is because there's going
to be a
day when the whole world will be chabas
that's you take small steps on shabas
you don't walk like you usually do so
and we eat the three
sudas and uh we will bring back those
seven
days um that will shine
creation will love CL Israel and will
redeem us that's the the first zer that
most people
sing rest and happiness it brings light
to the Jews there is a light on chabas
that is revealed the light of
chabas and uh there's um glimmers of the
oron because shabas say
May and Ina we will have a chance to see
that light that primordial light that
was hidden away way at creation and we
can get a glimmer of that on
shabas it's a day of
rest it's it's
desired when we keep shabas we testify
to
the and the we testify to God's
creation that everything was created in
six days and uh and and this is our
testimony
creation you created all of the heavens
the earth and the and the
Seas and all of the creatures great and
small
uh fish serpents perhaps snakes and
people and all of the
animals because you created the world
with the
name and he the upper world with the Y
the lower way with the
he
right the name he created these worlds
this world and the next
World this is what you said to your
chosen Nation
say so keep the shabas from the
beginning to the end and we mentioned
the last Z because shabas is the whole
shabas when you make Kish but the shabas
of all theas go the whole shabas
yeah because you rested on chabas we
make chabas this desirous day so this is
obviously a reference to M and I
mentioned this in theas that the first
of chabas is about that Hashem created
the world the second one is that he gave
us the Tor and we have to keep the
shabas because Hashem commanded us and
that's the reference over here this is
what you told the
Yul when were we called the amul
at that's when hasem says you are the
aul you're the chosen
people and we keep therefore we're
keeping the shabas sh shabas right
because
of and it is a
y what is a is this this what's called A
and A is something that is inherently
valuable TAA is I want I
want I
want right
is I want
this that's why is called
ER the Torah is called
a yeah so when you say it's this is the
day that is desirous in of itself I want
shabas we get strength when we keep
shabas
so we're making reference to
the which we say on
chabas this
is because according to this it's only
on chabas that we say not every
day yeah we eat all of our meals with
that's part of the
r and last chabas
references these are things that we use
for
shabas is of course that we use two
loaves of
bread is the keson that we make during
the day that's not the regular one it's
called Kish Raba to make it more because
it's only during the
day
you fill chabus with all of the tasty
things be generous spend your money on
shabas so if you do
that if you make an own you will be to
many great
things and you will bring and to the
world all of this in the of shabas
because shabas
and in we know if if the Jewish people
keep then will come
so this the key
and yeah you're
uh how those who are who are your
friends who who are your lovers and your
Mana the shabas
queen therefore we run to greet
you to greet the queen this is the gar
says and this is where cab shabas comes
from based on this gar
and the out in SAS would actually go out
into the fields and wait for shabas to
come to welcome shabas and and walk it
back into
town the Greet
shabas so uh and that's of
[Music]
course
right we light candles with a we put on
beautiful
clothing we don't do any more that's
already while we're waiting for shabas
to we bring it in
early we eat and and and make shabus
beautiful with with tasty
treats uh different types of birds and
fish you prepare on AR
shabas and uh during the day you have to
have everything prepared now we have to
remember that because a shabas leads
into
shabas that's the way it goes it's a
it's a
transition you
nowan says that your earliest you
could so if you look at the 6,000 years
of creation each one is one
day so the last six the last thousand
years so half of it is night
and that's 12 hours that would be 500
years and the next 500 years is day so
of the six day would be 250 years in
which means he says that Yos mashia is
supposed to begin by
5,750 so we're already in that window of
Y mashia it's already it's already our
shabas some people
after have the Min that they don't say
good they say good and AR
shabas
because holds that by saying good chabas
he could already be maab chabas and they
don't want to be M shabas so they say
good in Arab shabas yeah so on Arab
shabas we prepare and that's part of the
chabas all kinds of tasty
things fatted
foul all kinds of different
treats we're going to drink um fragrant
wines uh they used to add spices to
their wines uh if you've ever had hot
spiced wine mold wine I think is the
word for it I haven't I've always wanted
to but I never have but um uh there's a
special type of a treat hot scented wine
but in general wine is supposed to have
a bouquet to it my mother used to
subscribe to Gourmet magazine so when I
was I'd come into America and I'd stay
by her so you know you look for
something to read you know when you're
in the room without a
mauza so sometimes I would take in The
Gourmet magazine and I remember they had
a wine
column so someone wrote into the wine
column uh how long can you keep wine
after
you uh after you open the bottle and you
could just hear the horror in the guy's
voice he goes well after 20 minutes you
lose the
bouquet so like what's the point the
seven steps you know of wine tasting
swirls SSH you know uh um sip you know
all those different kind of things so
one of them is uh is to smell the
scent get the fragrance so fragrant wine
all three meals were going to have uh
Delights if you keep shabas you will
have the of
Abraham
and which is limited but the nla of yov
is
B it says anyone who keeps shabas will
have without any borders
Limitless and if everybody on his shab
is with your rich or poor as much as you
can then we have
the you will be my chosen people if you
keep the
shabas what does that mean if you keep
the shabas you're my chosen people so he
said shabas is called an I says so you
go down to store and it's
closed say okay you know maybe the guy
had to go to doctor's appointment or
something it's closed the whole week
right maybe the guy's on vacation it's
closed the whole
month right maybe they're doing
renovations but once they take down the
sign you know they're out of business
chabas is the ice once you take down the
O you take down chabas then it's over so
shabas keeps Le School we're the chosen
people six days we work and on the
seventh day we
Rejoice now this is all chabas what
you're allowed to do on chabas and you
can't you're not allowed to worry about
any of your business matters and do any
kind of
calculations unless it's for a
MIT then you can make accounts and do
business for
example you can make a on
chabas you can hire someone to teach
your kid t on
chabas we will uh speak words of toyra
and sing
songs in all of the corners of our field
that's what shabas is
for it's not for
business and this shabas gett doesn't
help
now guy comes to SCH sit next to the guy
he says hey I hear you have a car to
sell in the shabas garette he says I do
n shabas garet he says what is it it's a
Toyota this is the year n shabas garet
says how much are you asking for it n
shabas garet he says I'm asking you know
$28,000 Nish shabis
garet okay goes him and tells his wife
he says look Nish shabis Cohen selling
his uh Toyota for 28,000 sounds like a
good deal we could use another car
so he comes back by says shabas I'm
interested in the car he goes this
shabas I sold it
already
sorry
yeah you don't talk about these things
only thing you can talk about is making
a and uh and hiring someone for your kid
foras and things like
that you know you can't walk uh on
shabas like you walk during the week
can't be running you walk slowly
shabas is a
delight and you should sleep as much as
you need kadas just enough to revive
yourself no Weinberg said the only time
I saw my father sleep in a bed was
shabas otherwise he was a businessman
he'd come home he'd sit down at the at
the table and he'd learn and that's
where I'd find him in the morning so M
at some point he put his head down you
know but basically he he was at the time
didn't didn't go into a bed only time I
saw him go into a bed was
shabas if it's there just now I get a
nap now now I'm Gonna Catch rest myself
up
therefore my my soul Longs for
you uh to have this uh to rest in this
delight this precious day
um the laws to me are like a hedge of
roses I don't of you remembers there was
an old book hedge of
roses because that's how the gar also
refers to Nida the idea is when you make
a fence that's a beautiful fence even
though it will keep people out because
it's got Thorns but it's beautiful and
that's uh that's how they wanted to save
Shad in this you know by these laws
shabas there but it's like a a hedge of
roses it's
beautiful it's
a there everybody
rests
it's right there there's a hint there's
certain things we can't experience
except through a hint one of them isaba
but on chabas you get a taste
OFA you'll have a tremendous amount of
happiness
you will be saved
fromia and that's when when we
eat it's brought down it protects you
from
goo when especially during the short
shabos when people aren't so anxious to
eat shalis I always say I don't know
looks like goog going on this would be a
good time to be careful with
shalas
but we will be redeemed and saved and
there'll be no more sadness
I'm skipping myice because when I was in
Yesa we never said myice I saw it
brought down
once that some people stop saying myus
because in Europe anti-semites would
like grab a Jew and they'd make him sing
myus and they would call
mayus Jude and so because it was used
against us some people don't sing it the
story with the gr they didn't know who
he was they grabbed him sing sing by
office and he started singing it and
they ran away out of fear because of the
kadosha that was there so uh when I was
in Yesa we didn't sing
it yabesh we also didn't
sing was written by of the AR you know
his name is Israel because it spells out
each paragraph Israel it's an easy one
to remember in case you ever get lost
just keep track of uh what letter you're
up to this is written in
Aramaic uh the God who is master of all
the worlds
unto you are the king of
kings uh you do wonders and people don't
even know what to
say um your uh Praise Is In All
Creations I will praise you morning and
night
you are the god of
Holiness who created all
people all living
things all kinds of animals and
people all of the animals and all of the
birds this is really more uh about
creation as opposed to shabas per se you
don't really shabas is not really
mentioned here
rather you do uh great
things and Powerful things you raise
up the ones who are low and bring down
those who are
great if a person lived 2,000
years they can't figure
out
you are so precious and
great redeem
us take us out
of the nation you chose from all the
nations bring us to
the
and uh the place where all the souls and
all the spirits are
kept then we will sing to you all of our
praises and
songs in the holy city the beautiful
city shra the beautiful city of
Y okay I do one more and like I say
there a lot of this is uh no I do two
more uh we uh we have a a lot of um of
uh things we're covering today but I I
really think that zir is such an
important thing in fact the the Z KES
says all week the malim sings mirors to
Hashem but on chabas they're not allowed
to we sing the mirors
instead so when we sing Mir it's m very
very of thing all right Y
is y Isel some people say it was written
by the
AR since it spells out
glak other people say no wasn't written
by
[Laughter]
him because he usually wrote in Aramaic
and not in Hebrew
but it's it's attributed to one
of this day is a day of light and
happiness to the Jewish people shabus
rest you commanded us
at every year to keep shabas and
the so we set before us on chabas all of
these wonderful
meals
um give to the hearts of the broken
people it's it's the it it gives the the
strength and you give an extra soul on
shabas to the broken
people to a soul that is in
pain shabas shabas takes away the pain
you blessed it and made it holy from all
the other
days you did all of your Creation in six
days the people who are in pain will
find quiet and and safety
shabas not to do any you commanded us
and we will be to the glory of your
kingship and uh we will offer before you
um a precious gift Min here could either
mean a Corbin or a um or just could be a
gift
like
shab I'm skipping the rest of it because
everyone uh more or less says that the
rest of it was added in later and that's
why in many benches it's in small print
and some of them it wasn't even there at
all but when I learned the song they
skipped to the at
least bring back our base of that was
destroyed so a good Redemption give to
the sad
people
and shabas we will sit in song and
praise
shabas okay so I wanted to end
with and is very very old According to
some people it goes all the way back to
the tan because it parallels B that's
why some people held that you shouldn't
say
umisho because it's uh parallels
benching and you could be
by saying
it I can't say for all but I was at a
shabon where where as will say sh before
benching they say at all the meals it's
their version of sh and it's an
introduction to B and it's really not
about chabas it's our introduction
to and we say it on on chabas but really
like I say the some my nose say it
before every
meal really there's a far to say it
every time that you're going to bench
but we don't have time during the week
so Chas when we have
time uh our
Rock uh We've eaten and now uh those who
are faithful are going to bless
you we have eaten and we have full and
we had much that we left over as Hashem
said because hasem says he's going to
give us so much this is
the you'll eat you'll be satiated and
you'll
bench the first
is as I call
right Our Shepherd Our Father feed the
world we ate our bread we drank our
wine knew therefore we will thank you
and praise you in our
mouth we will say an answer no one is
holy like God and the second one is of
course with song and a voice of
Thanksgiving we will bless
hasem the
Desir that you gave to our
fathers
and you give us food and all kinds
of
viddles to fill
us all the that you do for us and hasem
is true so what's the third
is have mercy in your on your people our
Rock
the bring
us and
this yeah fill the city rebuild
it will sing a new
song we will go
joyously the holy merci one should bless
us and bring us
up we will fill up the cup because you
bench on a cup of wine and then we will
bench and bless this is sort of an
introduction so that's just there's a
lot to say there's a lot of themes and a
lot of things but at least if you
understand the ziros and all of the
shabas references hopefully it'll make
it a little bit more alive to
you and uh like I say um um two two
episodes from now I hope to bring in a
professional singer I would hate to have
to do all of these tunes by myself
somebody who knows music I guess a
singer is not really a good thing a
musicologist who can give us insights
into the tunes that go with them because
the tunes themselves are always
something that's when we talk about
chabas
mirus okay and that would have brought
us to our question and answer
part of our program unfortunately I
spent so much time talking about the
ziros that we're a little out of time so
uh next episode we're going to do chabas
days mirus and if I take as long with
that as I did with this then we won't
have a question answer then either so if
anybody wants to send in a question how
come there was no question and answer
that's the answer because we went too
long so that's it for this episode if
you want to find out more about the show
