Does R' Orlofsky Believe In Aliens?

Hi, this is David Olavski. We have started a new uh program here on the Raviolvski show where we're dealing with all the backlog of listeners questions that have been written in and uh we're trying to take care of them uh as much as we can. And obviously I'm only dealing with the shorter questions in this format. The longer ones I'll have to save for the actual podcast. Abra Marcus says, "Do you believe in aliens?" I believe in God. I believe in Torah. I believe in peanut butter. If you believe in peanut butter, clap your hands. [applause] Do I believe in aliens? No, I don't believe in aliens. Might they exist? It's not like it's shown. Whether there's life on other planets, you know, but uh um are they are they definitely aliens? Do I care? No. Not in the least. Do I actually believe that there's a Federation of Planets and that people beam down to my to Earth, the final frontier? No. All that science fiction stuff. So, if they're out there, they have a purpose. I don't know what their purpose is. I don't know why Hashem made them. They're there for something. But you know, of all the things I have to worry about in this world, I can honestly tell you extraterrestrial life is not one of them. Do I am I afraid they're going to invade Earth? No. Do I think in an emergency could send them down in a starship to attack uh the Jewish people's enemies? Yeah, I could see that. I think that would be uh remarkably cool. Yeah. So, uh I don't know. Thor comes from Asgard with a bunch of uh Asgardians and destroy all the evil people. Yeah, I I' I'd be down with that. [laughter] But, you know, whatever the evidence is is not strong enough to get me to believe that there definitely is life on other planets. Are there, are there not? I don't know.
