109: The Holy King (and I) (Yamim Noraim Tefillos Pt. 4)

hi this is doug dolowski and welcome to the ravioliski show welcome to have you for this continuing series on how do i make the rosh hashanah yum kipra davening meaningful to me particularly if i'm going to be darkening by myself so even if you're not i assume some of these insights are probably worthwhile wherever you are whatever you're doing so i mentioned uh normally in the amida during the relation between time space and matter so outside of this little thing called the universe is something where there's no time no space and no matter we can't wrap our head around that it's just too hard infinity is is a little tough i once heard dr gerald schroeder say that a monkey will never design a computer chip he just doesn't have enough connections in his brain to be able to think that up he says we can't grasp infinity since we just don't have enough up here to be able to you know synapses to comprehend the idea of infinity so uh but atokadosh means this is the this is the world and outside of that is a kurdish borough but we don't understand what that means and that's why in the first bruce when answered you say god who is great who's powerful who's uh or inspiring keller young know how to express it but they're in the sense that there's a power that's greater than them that's what rosh hashanah hashem is going to be the melech we want everyone in the world to recognize that there is this unbelievable power that exists in the korean [Music] regardless of their level of understanding their level of knowledge their level of commitment where do you find the mitzvah of a good disappear none of it represents us none of us when we die and get up to shamaya but we don't have a yate sahara we don't have the nations of the world on top of us no one's going to be plotting like satan in paradise lost how to overthrow god and take over heaven all of us want to do what's right that's every single jew everybody wants to do what's right and so everybody's going to be happy that in that his judgment is truth he is the melo in this world and that's what we want when we talk about god's throne of glory that means that god can sit in this world and the earth it says is his footstool means that he's in this world a molecule it says wanted to chase god out of this world so his throne is not complete because he can't sit in this world but on rosh hashanah we try to fight those forces that's keeping out of the world and make him the king of the world who's in a position then to be able to um bring the world back to its completion and its purpose which is ultimately
