I want to I want to speak to the guys
about a topic that that I think is deep.
I'm not like, oh, this is deep. I don't
care if it's shallow, deep. I'm not I'm
not like the raider. You could raid.
It's not like a trick. I'm just asking.
The only reason I'm saying it's deep.
I'm asking you to listen. It's subtle is
really what I want to say, Natano. So,
I'm tell Gabrielle. I want guys if I
could have if if a guy can focus, it's
good to like you anyway. If a guy could
try, I'm telling you something subtle.
If you want, if you'll hear it, I want I
want to learn something that I think is
is powerful. If we could study like
this,
anybody sitting down to learn Tyra, to
learn Tyra, what what's happening when
we study Tyra? What are we studying?
There's me and then I learn Tyra. What
is it? What's happening in learning
Tyra?
I want to say what Reb Geisler, my Rebi
said something about Tyra that's that's
a truth and then I want to explain it on
a specific point. Tyra is our deepest
space
told
this is the book about me.
>> Wow.
>> I'll explain what I mean. I'll give a
simple example. Natan will give a simple
example. It says in the Tyra don't be
jealous. I get jealous. I'm jealous. And
one of the Sarah said differences don't
be jealous. So a guy can easily shame
his jealousy. You just shame it. Oh,
you're not allowed to get jealous.
You're such a bad guy to get jealous.
The problem shy is I'm still jealous.
It didn't It doesn't shaming my je I can
deny it. I won't tell you I'm jealous. I
won't tell myself I'm jealous. I'll just
say I'll just say shimmy me. I'm not
jealous. I did that to myself young.
Because you learn in fifth grade you're
not allowed to be jealous. So then but I
am jealous. So you just say I'm not. You
say that to yourself. But what do I do
that I am? She said oh you're not
supposed to be. Jealous is completely
wrong. But I'm jealous.
But I'm jealous. You could say it's
completely wrong. You could you could
beat yourself up. You could call
yourself names. You could just deny.
It's very easy. Say I'm not jealous at
all. You know people I'm not angry at
all. not angry. You're you're smoke.
Just because you say you're not angry,
you're smoking mad. It's like you you
say you're not angry doesn't make you
not angry. Now, one second. You'll learn
Cass is terrible. Kazal speak about a
bad casses. See if you to be angry,
you're bad. So, just don't be angry. But
I'm angry.
>> There's a real sugary. So, what does
that mean? When you learn in the Tyra,
the Tyra speaks about
says bad things for what do you want me
to do? But I'm angry.
So that the principle that I want to
study today, I'm going to get to a
specific place. I want to express this
by
the principle I want to say is that you
have a space you can go to that's deeper
than your anger. you when you have a
space inside of you have an attitude a
place we're very big and you meet little
parts of yourself we're jealous there's
a space you could find and enter with
work with thought there's a there's a
there's a sug
beyond your jealousy inside of you you
can access something you're learning
about deeper space in you now don't
quickly say I'm here cuz I we we feel
jealousy but I can study things and come
into a place I could access a very deep
place. I I want to ask the guys here are
we selfish or giving?
We all It's It's interesting if we
looked at something and half the place
would say it's white, half would say
it's black. That would be weird. You
know they have pictures that could look
at two things. It's very weird when
everybody would look at the same thing
and see two different things. You'd say,
"What's happening?"
>> In this world, are we are we are we
selfish or giving? There are people who
look around and say, "Everybody's so
selfish. Self people are just out for
themselves." Is there anybody who really
cares? The guy in the dorm who's nice,
he just wants you to like him. Is he
really nice? Just wants you to like him.
The guy who's nice and mean, who I don't
know if he's less selfish than him. He
just has The guy who's mean gave up on
you liking him. The guy who's nice.
>> Yeah. The guy who's nice. The guy who's
mean gave up on you liking him. The guy
you're nice has tricks of people. Could
there be a space that I'm really giving
and sharing? Is the world a selfish
Gabrielle? Is the world a selfish place
or or a giving place?
>> It's Is that true? Is that true? Do you
do you look around and say people are so
giving or people are so selfish?
>> It's a complex question and what I say
is the start of us all at our starting
point and Hashem made us that way. We're
very about self as we should be as we
should be. We're very watch little kids
play and they just grab mine. Little
kids will fight and a kid grabs and it
says mine and the kid will grab it for
himself. Good mine kids are very about
themselves now as they get older do they
become giving or they just become more
sophisticated
are we not mine later on or just more
sophisticated won't work so I better
like sort of like and what I want to
express is you can access deeper places
every person every person gets married
they date selfishly they're looking for
themselves an expression of mine I was
Many of us this summer in Sulam an
amazing place and a lot of marrieds came
this morning was telling me he loved
about Sulam got to meet a lot of the
marrieds of the yeshiva a lot of people
come through who've been here who are
married with children it was delightful
to watch the same guy who was more about
himself he's giving to his kid crazy a
husband and a parent what happened you
find a deeper space inside we are born
to give the nishama just wants to share
and
Now I have to access that space. It's
interesting through selfishness. A guy
wants he wants companionship. He's he's
dating quite selfishly. I don't think
people date saying hey I want to give.
He's saying I'm I'm lonely. I want to I
want to connect. And then along the way
he finds something deeper. People really
find that space. I promise we're born to
give. If you have a guy who only
selfish, he will never be happy on this.
I believe he'll never be happy here. He
has a nishama. The nishama is a piece of
God wants to give. If you have a guy, my
boundaries meant therapy. It's about me.
He will never be happy here. Now there's
a hymn there's
but there's also
we are designed to connect and give. We
have an iss that wants to give. We're
designed to connect to Hashem. I can't
say it. It's just true. We have an isama
that wants God. That's true. Anybody
sitting there can access that deep place
that wants God. I don't say what it
looks like. And somebody can't tell you
well it looks like therefore you're
doing this. Well, I don't what it looks
like. Maybe you're giving. Maybe you're
somebody who makes pizza for people.
Maybe you're somebody who feeds people.
I don't know. I'm not saying how it
looks. But we have an issing
a deeper place. The nishama will never
be satisfied if you're not providing, if
you're not giving. That's just the
truth. Because we really have an iss
that wants is godly and wants to give
and share. That's that's when an is a
piece of Hashem.
The world of Tyra is accessing deeper
places. That's the world of T you
access. I'll tell you something
interesting and this is not to there's a
place of therapy. When somebody goes a
therapist validates who you are as they
should. When you go to a rebi, the rebi
should tell you about a deeper place
that exists inside of you. That's what I
believe. You go to a rebi to hear a
deeper place.
Now the rebi also should validate we
have a starting point. What what
different about a rebi and a therapist
per se is to a rebi? I want my rebi to
share a deeper place that's called the
deepest place in me. But I want my rebi
to understand I'm not there right now. I
need to like I need to make my way to
there. Somebody goes through a
difficulty. You cry. You're in pain.
That's normal. There's a deeper space.
You could have faith and there's a
journey to find that deeper space. And
you could find that deeper space slowly.
Don't you can't
picture a guy who says everything's for
the good. But every ghost he's like,
he's not there. Baloney. You're just
paring. Gamsu is a very deep space
inside of us that could really have
faith in Hashem. It's a deep space. The
Tyra gives you the deepest space. But
there's a journey to get to the deeper
space to access the deeper space to live
in that place. But I I want to speak
about something that I want to ask the
something but I want to learn it better.
The early years of the yeshiva and I'm
going to tell you a story that's just
true. I used to put on the 12th graders,
13th graders, the guy who's are at
Muservad on one of the first days of the
year, especially I asked Mila, I'm going
to try to be more on time. I was out my
son is not feeling well and I wanted him
to eat a good lunch. The lunch here is
great. He It wasn't for him. So I I took
him out to lunch, but I will be on time
as
>> cool.
>> What I want Thank you so much. But I the
early years of the yeshiva I put a lot
on the 12th and 13th graders a lot I put
like the responsibility of leadership
and we used to talk about it and demand
it for a couple of years now I stopped
and I'm going back to it this year and I
want to explain my journey what happened
for many years I asked I want to ask
Nahi I want you to look in the dorm and
see a younger guy and feel I'm
responsible
I'm going to talk about it from the
parish in a minute. For the first years
of the yeshiva, I used to day and night
speak about this. I stopped for a few
years and I'm going back. I want to
explain it. Natana, why did I stop? Why
I'm going back? I want to explain it.
When to the
you tell somebody who's thinking about
himself, you say think about him. It
does not mean to ignore the self. And
the early years I was telling guys share
and do that's there's a truth to that
guys also it's not if somebody just
gives to ignore his own story that's not
what I'm talking about there's a
the person has there are people who just
give instead of feeling their own story
>> and the yeshiva became a place from the
guys that I refuse that's called
codependence
>> there are people who give to others a
guy has a bad marriage and he's helping
all the troubled youth in his
Instead of handling, he has a bad
marriage. He has his own worries, his
own story. That's like codependence.
When you give to somebody in lie of
dealing with your own stuff, it's very
powerful to give. So instead of figuring
out your own marriage, your own
relationship to your mom and your Tata,
give to a kid and somehow like you solve
his trauma instead of dealing with
yours. That's called codependence. And
the guys here very much opened my eyes
to a world of matzma a person's own
inner work and for sure that should be
there yet there's something called and
it's a place in us that will not be
satisfied if we don't also give because
we have an isama that wants to give the
nishama is a space that wants to give
and we have different things to work on
we have our own our own our own entrance
way into things and then we have a space
of sharing also in parasit in this
week's par speaks about a principle
every yid is responsible for the next
which means as follows it's crazy it's
crazy crazy listen to what this means
tomorrow night Friday night I have a
mitzvah commanded by Hashem to make
kdesh if I make kdesh I could you could
listen to my
rule is if you hear it, it's like you
said it. But there's one condition. So
let's get some rules. We have a mitzvah
to make
how are people if they didn't make
there's another rule
hearing it's like saying a I want you to
hear this but you can only say the word
>> say the words ari
means hearing it is like saying it
it's one condition to that you need to
hear from a let's say a guy makes
>> you're not why not I heard it
as a has a condition that you have to
hear from somebody who's
>> if you hear from a 10year-old kid
why not because he's not has no
hearings like you saying it conditional
and you hear from somebody
Let's say yes [clears throat]
only applies to
>> no it it applies to reading the migill
it applies to other things as well the
there's I don't want to say the shaer
right now but migillas Esther is the
same way there are other things that if
you hear it it's like you say it does
>> this like negative stuff like if you say
something negative about someone else
>> that's cool that's cool
>> yo
>> that's I like that's very intelligent
Natano wants to say Ask
hearing is like saying it. Let's say you
hear
there's an
wants to know is that the principle is
that the same principle if it's true and
positive that hearing it's like you're
saying it. So Natan says hearing it's
like you're saying it with within very
fascinating Nano. It does say there's
something called that's learned from a
which means not to accept. It's a you're
saying that very reminiscent of hearing
is like saying it says on bad topics a
person's not let bad topics saying it
hearing it's also like if you listen to
it and you don't protest. So I hear what
you're saying
>> Nat.
>> Fair fair. So, so Alex says that's only
by by you have to want to be so he says
maybe by the negative I have to like
want to have this fair there's very good
good discussion I don't know the answer
is I have to study it's a good question
very good question now Aria
is one one of the conditions not the
only condition
Alex says you have to have in mind to be
one of the conditions of you have to
hear from a bar if you hear from a
10-year-old you're Not yet. You hear
from a guy, you're not hear from a tape
recorder, you're not AJ, let's say you
hear from a guy who already made kesh.
I've had times shabas where I made kesh
and I'll make seven times. Now, why is
the guy the new guy who hears I was and
the condition is you have to hear from
somebody who's the
>> it's always a new
>> but I was already No, you don't know.
There isn't one
You don't make it twice. I can't make
it. I'm not allowed to make another. If
I'm alone in my house, I can't make a
second kish.
[clears throat]
>> That's brilliant.
Says brilliantly
David says good cousin that
could be a second time. The problem is
if you were right, and I hear what
you're asking. If you were right, in my
own house alone, I can make kdish twice
and you're not allowed to. Now you're
asking
let me do it 10 times. I like your
question but you can't. See your
question is strong
[clears throat]
doesn't say how many times clearly
though interpreted
and that's you can't do it many times.
So what do you mean you're but I like
what you're I like what you're saying.
So what does that mean you're
>> what explains the garra? Yeah. Explains
the
as well explain if there's any who
didn't hear kesh yet I still
if there's one guy in the dorm who
didn't make kdes yet I still have kdesh
that's called arvus that's how far raven
were responsible for each other if you
didn't hear I still have now I want to
express
What' you say
>> much deeper than if you appoint me I
could do something there's not because
your appointment when you have I'm
responsible with you and your
>> now what I want to express is it's not a
superficial thing message to self care
about him
>> do I I don't know maybe I don't it's not
an external thing when anybody studies
Tanya if you learn Tanya and you read
this like eye opening. We are deeply
connected. It means it's in me to care
if you do your thing. Arbus is not like
Otis note to self. You you know when a
guy hears a speech about um gratitude.
A very unsophisticated guy hears a
speech about gratitude is like note to
self kish remember to say thank you. The
Rebi says have more gratitude.
So guys, note to self. Say thank you.
Say thank you. Say that's not good.
Gratitude.
>> Means there's a space in me that's
grateful. I want to tap into something
more. If if you see gratitude is not
saying thankful. It's a deep space that
I'm grateful. It's a deep space inside
of me. The Tyra teaches about gratitude
means there's a space inside of me that
I can access that's grateful. And I can
access a space. I'm very appreciative.
Maybe I need to give it its space. I
need to find that and access it. I could
really be grateful to my parents. I have
seen I It's funny. I asked parents to
see this. A a yid asked me this summer.
I I met with a yid who came to me who's
a rashiva of a very strong yeshiva in
America. And he said this is just what
he claimed. He said, "I watched the
waterberry guys. They have tremendous
gratitude." He asked me, we had a
meeting in the yeshiva. wants to know
why the guys are so grateful.
Interesting. This that was his
observation. I don't even know where he
contacted guys from the issue. That was
his observation. It actually made sense
to me. Often if you put pressures on
people, they can't access their
humanness. I have seen guys come to
Yeshiva and become grateful to their
parents. And what happened before in
pressures to be things I'm supposed to
be and do, be and do, be and do. They
couldn't just access what I have.
Sometimes if you could breathe a bit,
you breathe might take a week, a month,
six months, a year. I have watched guys
breathe and all of a sudden Sam, you
know, I'm appreciative. My mom, I'm
appreciative. My dad, even a parent that
they may have had some trouble with. And
people are human, you know, I'm
appreciative. He actually likes me. She
actually cares. She actually likes me
more than anybody in the world. There's
and I can actually like get a space of
gratitude. It's note to self be grateful
but is not like okay I'm going to be it
means it's in me when we study when we
speak about ar when I'm asking and I
want to ask a specific thing here I'm
learning par which speaks about
responsibility it's note to self I'm not
telling and that's what I want to
present
I'm not asking I note to self care about
the younger guy and the guy like force
himself younger guy younger guy okay to
get any respect in durm I have to be
good to younger guys I'm not asking that
>> I'm asking to access a space inside of
yourself there's a space in us that
wants to give there's a space in us
that's very connected to another y we're
connected if you read the the you
connected is nuts I believe one guy does
like a from action and everybody around
them gets from her I believe salant used
to say this to his talmid to me it's
like pash the way yiden relate to each
other impact in in
yiden are very connected like crazy one
yid success is your success each of us
literally literally literally any
teammate any good we're starting a
basketball team you're starting it
bothers me when guys don't we're like
teammates his success is yours we're
going to win more games, we'll get more
pride and we could like work together.
Our successes are each other's success.
It bothers me when the starters don't
appreciate the guy who never gets in the
game, but he busts it by practice. We
could not practice without him. You only
have eight guys in a normal rotation.
You think about any good NBA team, the
guy deep on the bench, the Colick,
whatever, whatever the guy, you couldn't
win without him. You have no practices
and they do a lot in practice. And
without him, they just shut down
practice. If people don't and if they
don't thank the guy, not it's not a
pretend thing. Say thank you. Note to
self, say thank you to the 12th man,
you're just you're not in touch with
reality. You're not saying thank you to
the 12th man. You have no team without
him. It it bothers me sometimes, mayor.
There's a certain disconnect from
reality. Guys go to games and the guy
who plays big minutes doesn't say Doug I
really appreciate you when you know you
busted and practice I have no game
without you zero
zero I want to thank I really appreciate
you how much you bring that a guy's not
in that space is not like no to self be
a from me note to self say thank you no
like be just be real just be true just
be honest it's just true if we study
about yidden we're relevant to each
other. We're connected in a deep way.
There's a natural space. In that space,
there's not unhealthiness to give to
somebody else. We're constructed to
give. A person will not be on fire, will
not be there's
these are realities.
These are, you know, a guy tries to sell
you. A guy will tell me guy tell me I
haven't talked to my father in four
years. He's not relevant to my life. Cuz
you say it is like a guy who's saying,
"I'm not angry. I'm not jealous." That's
stupid. Your father's relevant to your
life. I promise. We have dreams and
hopes and wishes. You could say, "I I
gave up from it." You could say, "It's a
point of frustration. Cuz you say it's
not relevant doesn't make it not
relevant. Your father's relevant." A guy
who says, "God's not relevant to my
life." He means that. Maybe he means
he's not ready to handle that. That
could be a person
But it's a reality. It's a reality.
You're ignoring a reality. God's not
relevant to my life. Who you mean? The
one who like loves you, gives you
everything you have, and is like you
need every second of your life. You're
just saying. Now, you could say, "I'm
not ready to look into that. I'm not
ready to be so real." I hear. Okay,
that's cool. That's cool to say. The guy
said, "My dad's not relevant to my
life." I said, "Time, you're not
honest." Kids will say, Kids will tell
me, I get chills. The guy says me, "I
went through this, but I'm past it."
You're not past it because you say
you're past it. Maybe you're not past
it. Even leave room. I don't know if I'm
past things I went through in fifth
grade. I don't know if I'm past it. I
have no idea. I don't think I am pastor
because you say you're past. Maybe I'm
not past it.
>> You're saying I'm not dealing with it
right now. I hear that.
>> Recar that someone does says it's not
relevant. Like let's say I don't know
like not personally, but like someone
who has like
not bad relationship with God, but like
he feels like doesn't love him. It's not
that irrelevant. He just feels like
>> he's upset. That's that's that's
relating to Hashem. He's I'm angry at
him. I I when a guy when a guy says
father's irrelevant, he's just if he
says I'm very upset at my father, that's
real. It's very real. I'm very angry. I
feel hurt. I don't feel the love that I
that he supposedly asked me. It's real.
I like that. I'm not an agenda guy. I'm
like pushing. I'm not There's what he
feels. I'm just like pushing reality.
But I want what I want to ask the I mean
this sincerely and I think in a place
that teaches
people work their own stuff. So I'm not
worried. There are yeshivas
understandably that don't want 12th
graders to reach out to 10th. I believe
they're worried about codependence.
They're worried a guy instead of dealing
with his own stuff is going to take care
of the 10th grader. I'm aware of that.
But I think there's a tremendous danger
because we're born we have an is and I
think if you if something's ignored
don't ignore yourself and you're in a
yeshiva all the shurim everything speaks
to a person working their own stuff and
also engaging the next person
>> that's a reality he's here engage and
we're born to give there's a line
we were only created to do for another
now I want to Express what he's saying.
There's something very deep. It was
moral be. He used to say this a lot.
We're created to give.
>> I want to express he wasn't saying note
to self give. Better give. Better give.
Dil give. Dil give. That's a crazy.
You're just a you're just a robot. It's
note to self give.
>> It's note to self. Be yourself.
>> Wow.
>> A healthy self-gives. Because
he's not saying you're not worthy of
living if you don't give. It's not like
uh the schmoo that you hear the subtle
difference. Two schmoo on gratitude. You
could yell at a group of guys be more
grateful. The guy goes home this off.
Shabas note to self. He said be more
grateful. Say thank you. And mom thank
you. Thank you. That's that's robotic.
Yeah. That the the the deeper place is
if there's something called gratitude
means could I like quiet the world and
find the space of gratitude.
>> Mameish. Find a space of gratitude. I
tell we had two beautiful last night in
yeshiva. Gorgeous. Two guys who are
heroes of the yeshiva who've gone
through the system who are fiery hashem.
They're going to build beautiful homes.
Two gorgeous weddings last night.
Before they walk down the aisle, each
sits with one. His father is an aba. He
cannot sit with his father. He sat with
his mother. One has both parents and
they sat with their parents before they
walk down the aisle and they're about to
leave home. What's the healthy space
before you're leaving home to have
gratitude? I'm not leaving. They're
really leaving. They're leaving home
never to return home again. They'll
visit but it's not their home. It's just
a reality. It's a reality. They're
really leaving.
They leave their parents. The healthy
space is to thank. to say now you that's
not an external thing say thank you okay
thank you so much I'm talking about I
ask
weeks before your I want you to try to
enter a space not remember to say thank
you before you leave that's that's just
that's a forced thing I'm talking about
a very present reality that to get into
a space they're ones who brought me here
they care a lot I've had tough things
I'm human they've had tough things we've
all made mistakes, but my parents care
about me. And to enter that like space
in a meaningful way where I could say,
you know, I really appreciate you got me
here. You you you're the you're the ones
who brought me to this world and to
enter that space called gratitude. What
I'm asking guys to care about another
guy is not to ignore the self. When says
we were created to give, it's just it
means by our very nature we're born. And
it's what we have for if you would show
me a guy I'm not giving. I'm just, you
know, we're he's not accessing a deep
place in himself. He's like really
missing deep place in oursel that want
to give that are born to give that gain
a tremendous and energy from giving.
Anybody could you check these things out
when we give energ when we act ourselves
it gives energy. You just have you're
energized. You're imp you find like deep
spaces. That's how it works with ty.
When you act, when you access deep
spaces, you're fire because it's you.
When somebody acts as somebody else, you
tire out very easily. You're not you.
When you try to be something, you're
not. If you ever try to people please,
but you're not. You get you're always
tired. You if you access like a deep
space, you have crazy energy. It's you.
It's you. It's given. I call this
kashem. those that hope toe
get an exchange of power. I would like
to ask the to be responsible for the
next guy not as a way of ignoring
you have your own study your own do your
own work don't ignore it and oh by the
way we have an issam also give engage
I'm in yeshiv I'm working my stuff I'm
also working and sharing and giving I
like watching
>> I feel like that you um by by saying
this like um like a lot I guess about
like kind of like pick and choose so
many people I feel like it can come up
for me and other guys a little bit like
a force ch
>> for sure for sure I appre I like that
mech I promise you I like that he's
saying it and asking and saying is is
there it can come out and there's a
there's everything has a clip as a fake
version you could end up just doing for
others ignoring who you are and like I'm
talking about in accessing in a
comfortable way Hey, he's my teammate.
Let me find that space. Have by the way,
give in a way that's true to you. Don't
give in a way another guy gives. Don't
do it the way another guy does it. Do it
your way and access. But we're born to
connect to others. Hashem designed us.
When we learn in the
we're learning deep spaces inside of me.
That means that that I'm cutting me off
when I don't interreact when I don't
give him his space. When I don't
encourage him, I watch the healthiest
guys grow in yeshiva and there's a work
on self and a care for other. I'm not
I'm not making my cousin feel I've
watched that whole you aish the whole
working on themselves and encouraging
the other and it looks right. It feels
right and it's not a trick and it's not
unnatural and I agree with me.
Everything could have a kipa
could have a kipa pretend version
every good thing I'm expressing that
were really born to interact. I see the
world of therapy missing missing deep
spaces of oursel. I'm telling you that I
see it that people just become
self-absorbed and cut out
but is not a message to self be nice
note to self be no we're constructed
you don't access deep places if you
don't look at another person and care
you don't if you can't see another
person from another base from another
way doing and see his life and his truth
and his journey
You're missing a piece of you. That's
saying it. There's a deep space in us
that's born. We have different aspects.
We have to figure own stuff. We have to
connect to the other. We could dig
deeper. So is right. A person could in
anything have a fake version of it. I'm
asking for the real version.
>> Fake. I just feel like
>> a forced version
>> that also just like I'm me and whatever.
It's like consciously doing it because
we've heard that and therefore it's
taken away from what we would have done
maybe if we didn't hear that. I don't
know.
>> I hear so is saying there's an amount
that should be natural. I want to say we
study terra it it could resonate. I
don't ask a guy to do more than
resonates by him. So you're right a guy
could be a force thing. Whenever you
speak about gratitude there's the danger
of the guy who just say thank you say
thank you. That's why we're studying
that we're actually saying gratitude
could be in us. Now, by the way, when I
say thank you, be present that something
resonates. We want a place of gratitude
of appreciation where it resonates.
Thank you. Appreciate you. Appreciate
really appreciate. [applause] I'm thank
you and for one minute for one minute.
>> No, no, no. I want I want to talk just
to you two for a minute then you go for
one minute
>> really what me just said in a lot of in
a lot of and this is what I want to say
what I want to say to you me this I meet
a guy like I'm going to speak honestly I
meet two people sometimes in very
controlled environments I think and then
I want to say to me when I'm asking and
run the school. So it sounds like forest
chill. I want to say like this. I meet a
nah who's has a beautiful energy.
Anybody's around. I promise I told my
son not in front of him. Went to camp. I
said you're going to meet a kid. I know
you're going to go nuts. And he called
me said you nailed it. He said you
nailed it. Hoodie and he said you nailed
it. They were together in camp. But I
meet in some environments because I'm
not asking it to be the way the people
want it, the way the rebby wants it. A
lot of times people Yoseseph has a crazy
energy. You're told, "Whoa, there's a
problem. Okay, chill out. Whoa, we're
going to run things here." I want you to
tap into what's natural. You have an
energy that can energize 500 people ease
like this. I want you to tap into that.
Mi I'm actually saying people to be more
natural to find that which is true that
which is and if we and we have a kayak
to interact to encourage to move so let
it out don't hold it back and I'm not
asking it should be in the way this one
wants the way that one wants because
that I'm I'm asking it should be should
be unleashed something that's true
inside of us that's what I'm asking I
want to me to me I think it's extremely
extremely healthy to ask for it to speak
about it again not ignoring the self not
ignoring at all I think it's very weird
to ignore other people is is not is a
dysfunction is a big dysfunction
when you ignore you're ignoring you
>> which means that I've cut off part of my
ani think what kazal say when I am
selfish moi I have destroyed my ani that
amazing When a guy is selfish, listen to
the words of a Mishna. You can't make
this up. If a guy doesn't think about
others, he's cutting off his self.
Which means that are saying the craziest
thing, there's a deep place in self. I
watch I watch do kindness crazy will
drive to one end of the world. Morty
Kramer, WELCOME HOME.
>> [applause]
>> LET'S START. [applause]

hold either captive, but could we just
do what what was the other new song you

a lot? You know what I'm talking about.
>> Could we do that?
>> You know what I'm talking about.
>> What was it? What was it?
>> Is that even Gab? I think it's G.
>> That is Gabe. Yas. Nice to see Yasi
Goldstein. Welcome home. YAS. [applause]
>> I see I see kindness. I see what Chuka
does and see that that's a deep space
inside of us. That's no force chill. Our
nish is wild. Our we could tap into
places of wild pass that could a person
should not ignore.
No aspect should be ignored. That's a
place in us that wants to do. Let's get
a chair.
>> Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Somebody was telling me what song heaven
on earth
>> he meant heaven knows my name. He said
heaven on earth. So I wrote a song
heaven on earth.
>> I picked up something. I was like that's
my
>> So he said this I was holding his phone
and he said he said heaven on earth. I
was like wait one second I have to write
that song
>> yet. Have you heard the the song Heaven
Knows My Name?
>> Maybe I'll
>> You have heard it?

We have to arrange. Ezra. Welcome home,
Ezra. Wait. Welcome. [applause]

were kidnapped. Mara, [music]
could we arrange
who here by hands? Who here plays
soccer? By besides,
who plays soccer?
I play, but I'm not very good.
>> We're going to get
>> I know. Where'd he go? Gabri was just
here.
>> He's a good Zebie. He said, "Zebie, do
you play soccer?"
>> I want's
a good soccer player. Zeb is a good
soccer tire.
>> We have guys. I want to rent the place
near here has a soccer court.
>> Let's rent it and let's go.
>> Where's Gabri? You play everything.
You play soccer.

year. You'll want to be here.
You'll see 11:30. Good times. Okay,

>> So we're going to do Heaven knows our My
name and then the new and then the other
>> Natan check the sale.
You [singing and music] moved up to Cali
away from town. It's kind of crazy
the way it all works [music]
out.
Cheers.
We didn't grow up in the same house,
[music] but we're brothers.
So, I want to tell you about something
[music] crazy
that I found.
[music] It might be [singing] useless.
I might sound stupid
>> cuz I can't prove it.
But I need to tell [music]
you
that there's a God and he [music]
knows your name and he knows your heart
and he feels your pain. I [music] wish
that it was something I could explain.
I can't. But I need to say [music]
there's a God and he knows your name and
he knows your heart and he [music] feels
your pain. Or you might not believe me.
But either way,
[music] I promise heaven knows your
name.
Oh, do you ever
feel [music] that spark that is burning
in your heart? Does it guide you [music]
when you're in the dark?
Or do you wonder
if there's more to life? [music] If
there's an answer to the great big why I
believe [music] that
there is truth to find.
[music]
It might be useless. [singing]
I might sound [music] stupid
cuz I can't prove it. [music]
But I need to tell
you
that there's [music] a God and knows
your name and he knows your heart and
feels your pain. Oh, I
[music and singing] wish that it was
something I could explain.
[music and singing]
I can't, but I need to say there's a God
and he knows your name and he [singing]
knows your heart and he feels your pain.
You [music] might not believe me, but
either way,
I promise heaven knows your name. I hope
that you hear [music] this song and one
day you sing along [singing]
and together [music] we'll say [singing]
there's a God and knows my name and he
[music] knows my heart and feels my pain
and it's not [singing] something I need
[music]
to explain.
Oh, I just want to say there's a God and
he [music]
knows my name and he knows my heart and
he feels the pain. I've waited [singing]
all my life [music] to say
that heaven knows my name.
Oh, heaven knows [music] my name.
Heaven knows my name.
I've waited all my life to say
[music and singing]
that heaven knows my name. [music]
I promise heaven knows your name.
[music]
I promise heaven knows your name.
I know that heaven knows [music] my
name.
I know that heaven knows my name.
[music]
I know that heaven knows my name.
I know that heaven knows my [singing]
name.
I know that [music] he knows my name.
I know that he knows my name.
[music] I know that [singing] he knows
my name.
[applause]
[cheering]
>> I never heard it that good.
>> Never, bro.
I do have it on.
>> Welcome home.
>> You do have it on. Should I show the new
one?
>> Let me get one more time. One more time.
>> When did you change it up?
>> Why you just sing it for the boy?
>> You're producing it. [clears throat]
>> I'm not The end.
>> I don't know why you The end is
different.
>> Yeah. And that's how it's like
>> it's an extra like minute.
I like that new new spin on it.
>> Yeah, the end
most important part of music.
>> This is a song we talked
>> surprised you made it yourself.
Thank you.
>> You want to hear another new song? I
just come over here.
>> If it's like that, bring it on.
>> It's like that.
I don't know. Is there a drum in this?
>> Brand new song. Check this out.
Rezi, Rezi, you're going to want to hear
this one. Somebody said to me after
Heaven Knows My Name came out, somebody
came over to me when I was sitting with
the guitar. He's like, I love your new
song like Heaven. It's like Heaven on
Earth. He said that to me. So, I was
like, I should that's like that's the
next one. So then I wrote this is heaven
on earth.
>> Yo,
heaven on earth.
It's heaven on earth.
I've seen the greatest sunset, then
watched my world burn in the flames.
[music]
I've seen the worst of this world, and
I've seen beauty in the pain.
>> [music]
>> In the darkest [singing]
places that the world's forsen,
I'm going to find you.
I'm going to [music] find you. My
stories for the ages. I'm done skipping
pages. It's [music] time to find you.
It's time to find you. Oh.
[music]
Oh. [singing]
Oh.
[music]
Oh.
So I won't end the [music] search. I'll
stand where it hurts. And I'm [singing]
going to find [music]
heaven on earth. I won't end the search.
I'll dig through [music] the dirt and
[singing] I'm going to find heaven on
earth. Oh,
down [music] in that dirt
is heaven on earth.
I've seen [music] things that I can't
forgive. I am still lost in here today
[music]
talking to you. My [music and singing]
God, who I know is not afraid
of [music] the darkest places that the
world's forsen.
[singing] Oh, there I'll find you. There
I'll find you. My stories for the ages.
I'm done skipping pages. It's time to
[music] find you. It's time to find you.
Oh.
[music]
Oh.
[music]
[music] Oh. So I won't end the search.
I'll stand where it hurts. And I'm going
to find heaven [music] on earth. I won't
end the search. I'll dig through the
dirt. And I'm going to find heaven
[music] on earth. Oh.
Oh. Down in that dirt.
It's heaven on earth.
Oh. Oh, I won't in the search. I'll
stand where [singing] it hurts. [music]
And I'm going to find heaven on earth. I
won't in [music] the search. I'll dig
through the dirt. And I'm going to find
heaven [music and singing]
on earth. Oh,
down in that d
[music] is heaven on earth,
[applause]
