foreign [Music] edition of the tar illuminated series we're going to do something a little bit different I want to tell you a story I'm not a big Storyteller but this story happened to me personally in connection with how this series was formed we started it about a year ago it was dedicated liloi nishmas Mr Jean mesh Allah he was a remarkable man beloved for his kindness his generosity and his love for aretz Israel this series was dedicated to his memory and last week was his first yard side and I was invited by his mishbacha the Harris family of Cleveland to deliver a chuva address Masai on his first yard site I was scheduled to take off at 2 10 pm on a Thursday afternoon I arrive in the airport plenty of time and in honor of this trip my wife got me a new suitcase to take on the plane this way I wouldn't have to check it in and I was only going for the night and it was perfect for the occasion the thing was I wasn't really used to this suitcase so when I put my stuff through the security I had three items with me I had a knapsack with my notes in it I had a hat box for my hat and I had my suitcase my wheelie that I was going to take on the plane with a few personal items and my talison film I put all three items through the security and a little while later I'm sitting at the gate I have my hat box I have my knapsack where's my suitcase I can't believe it I don't have my suitcase what's in it I said are my notes in it that's the first thing that came to mind because that's why I'm going to Cleveland to give a drush I have my nose in my nose but my wheelie mitalison's phone are in there I can't believe where is it I must have left it in the concession stand where I got a drink it was a very hot day I was a little bit uh dehydrated it must be there I must have left it there while I was paying I ran back there my adrenaline was pumping I said did you see the suitcase it wasn't there where could it be I said oh no I must have left it at security I wasn't used to the suitcase it was a brand new suitcase am I ever gonna find it the last place you want to leave a suitcase is in an airport you know you leave a suitcase unattended to in an airport I don't know what they blow it up or something am I ever gonna see this again I run and in between the two conveyor belts is this table I never knew what that table was for I run there I look at one end of the security conveyor belt the other end the suitcase wasn't there but it was lying there untouched for about a half hour on that table in the middle and I got my suitcase back I was very grateful tacos borrow flu if anyone knows me they know I'm very connected to Red mayor ramire Balinese so of course I said any I was very grateful by the way I went on the plane and they told us we're gonna take off soon imminently there's just some traffic and then they said no not yet there might be some weather and they're looking for a route and a reroute and they kept on stalling and stalling and an hour passes and two hours pass and after three hours they say we have to go back to refuel and we get go back to the gate to refuel and a man gets on the plane and says your flight has been canceled can't believe it here it is Aman I spent three hours on the runway I prepared a drasha I called a friend in Cleveland he was able to arrange a live stream of this year so I ran back to my house I went to my office I gave the sheer I think it went over pretty well bar Hashem and I'm thinking to myself why did I have to go to the airport in the first place if it needed to be canceled you know I've flown to many places I've never sat on the runway for three hours I never had a flight cancel why did this happen to me and then it hit me that this was one of the most important experiences of my life because it taught me a very important lesson you know imagine if I would have gotten on that plane and flown to Cleveland would I ever have seen that suitcase again if anybody knows the way suitcases work in airplanes it would be somewhat of a miracle if I was reunited with that suitcase put it this way in a timely fashion if ever the reason I was able to get that suitcase and have it right away it's because I was still in the airport when you're still in the airport you've got a fighting chance to find your suitcase if you're not in the airport anymore lots of luck fighting your suitcase and that really highlighted to me what the aceres all about because as long as we're still alive we could still do chuva as long as we're still alive we could still repent we could correct our actions we could go back in time and maybe if we didn't act properly in the past we could go back and we could go back and correct and rectify and fix if we're still alive if we're still in the airport and that's the gift Hashem gave us to all of us who have the great opportunity of yamaki Purim alive in this world we're still in the airport we could still go back and try to find our suitcase and repair and correct and repent for our past misdeeds the suitcase can still be found as long as you're still in the airport as long as the person is still alive [Music] it's possible to fix it's possible to correct it's possible to change it's possible to change one's Destiny and be zoysa to a gamachasi mataiva wishing everyone foreign
