[Music] whether you live in an apartment building or in a house a home is a wonderful place a home is a place where you can be yourself you can feel loved and cared for well you know hashem also has a home we know hashem is everywhere but hashem feels the most comfortable and hashem can be hashem himself in the beta mikdash the beta mikdash was hashem's home in yerushalayim the holy city ir hakodesh and hashem was in the beta mikdash and every year we would go three times to visit hashem in the beta mikdash wow what a wonderful thing you know a home is a very very special place and everything has a home birds have nests farm animals have the barn you know even mitzvahs have a home let's look at all these different types of mitzvah homes [Music] those can be homes too [Music] now let's start with a coin this coin needs to find its home do you know which of these items is a good home for a coin you're right the pushka the tzedakah that's the perfect home for a coin oh there is the torah the holy wonderful torah where does the torah live where is the torah's home you guessed it the our own kodesh that's the special cupboard in the shul that the torah is kept in it has a curtain and doors the our own kodesh that's the perfect home for a torah oh this is a mezuzah where is a good home for a mezuzah you're right of course a mezuzah goes into a very special case and then that special case with the mezuzah inside goes on the door frame on the right side wow what a great home for a mezuzah oh i see a candle where's a good home for a candle you're right a candlestick that's the perfect home for a shabbat candle or if it was a hanukkah candle maybe a menorah that would be a great home for a candle oh look at that that's not a lemon that is an etrug an s-rug where is a good home for an etrug of course there's not much left to guess from that is an etrog box a special case that some people keep their etrog in on on sukis wow and that's the perfect home for an etron wow great job you sure know a lot about homes for all kinds of things but there's no better home for hashem than the data mikdash now right now there is no beta mikdash so where is another place that hashem could make his home aha maybe in a shul because that's where we go to daven and pray that's where we go to learn the torah and to listen to the reading of the torah a shul abate knesset would be a perfect home for hashem and a shul is called a mikdash a small bait hamikdash there's even a smaller beta mcdush that you probably have in your home already and that's your room did you know you could make your own room a small beta mikdash where hashem can feel comfortable and hashem can feel at home all you need to do is make sure you have a mezuzah on your door have some jewish books like a sitter like a humash a torah maybe a book of tehillim or and of course have a tzadaka box on your bookshelf too wow now your room will be a mikdash a small beta mikdash and hashem will feel right at home in your home [Music] rabbi b loves hearing from fans please send any questions fan mail or drawings to rabbib music gmail.com you
