[Music] we are free dance out of Egypt with me okay well we finally made it out of Egypt haha great job everybody here we go I guess we're gonna be at Mount Sinai any day we're gonna be getting the Torah maybe today or tomorrow right Moshe what we're gonna be getting the Torah in 49 days that's a long time what are we gonna do all those days oh we're supposed to count the 49 days to get the Torah and every day we count we have to make ourselves a little bit more ready and a little bit more better to get the Torah from Hashem well we got a lot of work to do oh well I'm not ready well I'm not ready to get the Torah today then I got a lot of work to do I got to make sure I do a lot of stuff I got to make sure I have more patience and I'm more kinder to people and I give more to daca and I gotta try hard to learn more things and I'm not ready to get the Torah I could use those 49 days well let's keep on walking and I know how Shem is gonna take good care of us and it'll take us 49 days to get to Mount Sinai to get the Torah all right here we go we came out of Egypt now what should we do we count the Saphira every single day I knew before we get the Torah we count every 149 days present of all I bet the Jews after they left Egypt were so excited to get the Torah they couldn't wait they wanted the Torah right away but Hashem said nope you're gonna have to wait 49 days that's right Hashem commanded them to count 49 days from gammak from coming out of Egypt towards har Sinai to get the Torah hmm that's a lot of days to count but Hashem said I want the Jewish people to be ready to get the Torah and to get our bodies ready that might take a day or two but to get our neshama ready our Jewish soul that takes 49 days 49 days to make our soul and our body ready to get the Torah and we do the same thing every year after Pesach we count 49 days before we can get the Torah that's the Mitzvah of spirit ha Omer counting the Omer yeah oh I think I hear someone buzzing Oh special counting calendar and it will help you get ready for dope dope to come and that will show you how long it's gonna be for him to come and play okay does that work for you alright well okay so how to count the Omer first you need to find out which night of the Omer it is just check a Jewish calendar or go on Habad org next you need to say the bracha the bracha for counting the Omer is as follows baruch ATA adonai eloheynu melech ha-olam asher kadhi shinobi mitzvah tov vet Savano al spirit ah Omer blessed are You God who gave us the mitzvah of counting the Omer then you need to count which day of the Omer it is and how many weeks that is for example if it's the first night you would just say hi yum yum Acathla Omer today is the first day of the owner if it's the seventh night you would say today is the seventh day of the Omer which is one week if it's the tenth you would say today is the tenth day of the Omer which is one week and three days every night you count is a mitzvah which means if you count the whole Omer you get 49 mitzvahs Wow happy counting well I'm in my art room now I'm gonna make something special for Devorah to help her count the days towards Dov Dov coming to play what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take some of these cups here these little plastic he cups and I'm gonna make a calendar a counting calendar a counting game that you can play every single day that Dov Dov is coming up to seven days so I'm gonna write numbers on each Cup I'm gonna write number one on Cup number one and then a number two mm-hmm then a number three mm-hmm then a number four then number five number six and last number seven that's right now Devorah will be able to know which number day it is and then on the seventh day that's when Dov Dov is going to come okay I think I'm gonna glue on each one now so on the bottom of the cup just put a little bit of hot glue and if you use hot glue make your emo or Abba your mommy or daddy help you to do this activity because hot glue could burn your finger a little bit and we don't want anyone to get a boo-boo or to get hurt here we go to do number five just a little bit of glue works just to stick it make sure the six is the right way or else it'll look like a nine and that would really confuse Devorah and number seven all right how does that look all right one two three four five six seven counting the days towards her friend dove dove coming to play alright next what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make a little sign for Devorah so she knows this is her special box for Wendover Dover's coming to play I'm gonna make a sign that goes standing up like that or maybe from the back cause she's gonna come over there and I'm gonna write on the card I'm gonna write down okay I'm gonna write counting calendar counting counting and because I'm going to use candies I'm gonna write counting candy cow [Music] all right oh right counting candy calendar and now I'm gonna glue it on to the back of devorah's counting calendar and I'm just gonna use a little bit of the glue again just to glue do a couple dots just so it sticks on dudu and she could use this for any kind of counting doesn't have to be dope dope coming over to play it could be any kind of calendar she wants to count a week because a week is seven days of course so there's her seven day counting candy calendar hmm I have the calendar I have the counting I think I'm missing one thing the candies I have these little dum-dum candies there's a little little baby pacifier candies I think I'll put one in each of the numbers two three four five six and seven candies and now Devorah will be very excited every day she gets to come and she says okay today is day number one and she could eat a candy and then on day number two she could eat a candy too all right well that was easy to make number seven now if you wanted to do something like that you'd probably have to get forty-nine candies and the 49 candies you would do the same thing you would have 49 cups or you could just do seven because really forty-nine days is seven weeks seven times seven is forty-nine so you could do one week and at the end of that week you could just put seven new candies in the cups and keep on counting until the finally after the seventh week then the next day will be Shavuot and we'll be ready to get the Torah for sure so there's a little counting candy calendar for Dvor I hope she likes it and I'm gonna make sure all my things are put away nicely and you could try it yourself all right I can't wait to give it to Devorah I'll see you later well hi there rabbi be here today I want to teach you about the word patience or in Hebrew solve la Newtons you know patients or Savoie notes is a very important character trait to have it shows that you're gonna be able to wait your turn and wait till the person is ready for you it's a very good way to be not to get impatient and to get upset but to wait your turn and when it's your time well then it's your turn and that also shows that you believe that Hashem is the one who runs the show so having patience is very important rabbi B what are you doing here hello I'm here I'm ready to get the Torah no no we just got out of mitts Ryan we just left Egypt we just are out of Pesach and now we're getting ready to get the Torah but I'm ready now well I know you're ready now but we're not ready Hashem has given us 49 days to get ready 49 days oh you're gonna have to have some patience patience but I want it now I know you want it now but Hashem has given us these 49 days of spirit Amer to get us ready for the Torah but I am ready look I took a bath and everything haha I know you're you look ready for shovels but you're not ready for Shevat because Hashem doesn't just want us to get clean and wear nice clothes that's not how we only get ready for shove what and getting the Torah Hashem wants us to fix our neshama also our Jewish soul and make it so shiny and beautiful and ready to get the Torah too well how do I clean my neshama well the way you wash your soul is by doing Mitzvahed by learning Torah and of course by fixing your character traits your me--don't or meetups oh so I need to get myself and my soul ready yep well I think this year maybe I should be a little more patient with you that's right okay and I think I'll be more patient with you great so rabbi B and Rabbi B are both going to be more patient you know this year for Shabbat I think I'm gonna work on my savoir newtons and instead I'm gonna work on my patience no sovereign oohed and patience are the being patient means you're able to wait now you know when you ask your mommy or daddy for something and they say just wait one minute have you ever really waited a full minute I think right now we should try to see what it feels like to wait for a full minute are you ready let's start the timer at one minute and see if we can do it go how long that was 10 seconds so far getting kinda bored seconds and that's one minute of waiting that wasn't so hard I think you could do that yourself whenever mommy or daddy say just one second or just one minute just wait patiently just sit and wait and breathe and think and do something quietly to yourself until your mommy or daddy or whoever asks you to be patient is ready when is the song gonna start already Hey just have a little patience that's right have a little patience well how long do I have to wait when will the fish eat the bait when can we have our playdate good things come to those that Wade's where's that waiter with my plate when will my balloon inflates when can we have birthday cake good things come to those bad ways Oh patience patience helps you know a schenzel one who runs the show so have some patience you will see not all things come instantly sometimes waiting is hard to do here's my advice for all of you just can't stand it you just can't wait have some patience and you'll feel great how long do I have to wait patience is a great character trait so watch me as I emulate the good things come to those that wait I'm just trying to educate the patients you should celebrate so don't argue don't debate good calendar it's called a counting candy calendar we made it for you and you see inside there are different numbers one two three four five six seven oh one second Devore I know you love candy right so what you're gonna do is each day that you're waiting for douve Tove you're gonna count though number and then you're gonna get to eat the candy so on for seven days you'll have seven special candies to eat and that will help you get ready for dove dove to come so I'll put that right over here in front of your beehive and then you can finish guys already cleaned and when you finish cleaning you can count number one and then you can eat candy number one all right okay enjoy and while Devorah is finishing up cleaning up her butt beehive I think we should be getting ready for Shavuot we have a bunch of weeks to get ready so you can make your own candy calendar you can fix up your meadow your character traits you can get ready for chef watts by doing more mitzvahs and by being a better you
