Rabbi B - 3D Craft Beit Hamikdash

[Music] one way to be sure to remember the beta mikdash is by having your very own picture of a beta mcash now if you don't have one that's no problem at all I'm going to teach you how to make a really special one now the first thing you're going to need to do is go on the computer with your IMA your Aba or a grownup in your home and look for a nice picture of the beta mikdash this is the one that I found today it is a beautiful picture and why I like it is because there are different layers there are different depths meaning there are some things that are further away in the picture and there are other things that are closer in the picture there's the BET mikdash over there and some trees and it's a really really nice picture now we're not just going to make a regular picture of the beta mikdash we're going to make a 3D picture of the beta mikdash 3D is a type of picture that looks like it's jumping out at you it has different levels and different depths so what I did is I printed not just one but four pictures of the exact same picture picture four times and I used a very hard kind of paper called card stock that way it's going to really work now you'll need a few pictures of the beta mikdash the same one and the same size if you can get it you're also going to need a pair of scissors please be careful when using scissors and it's always a good idea to ask a grown-up or an older brother or sister to help you cut and some double-sided tape this is a type of a tape that's a lot thicker than regular tape and it's sticky on both sides and now here's what you need to do the first thing we're going to do is we're going to cut out parts of the picture that we want to use now this will be our background of the whole picture so this one we're going to keep whole we're not going to cut one the second one we're going to cut out the parts that are in the background so I think right now these mountains in the back so I'm going to cut out the picture very carefully I'm going to cut out all the mountain parts of the picture keeping the part that's in front of the mountains whole and you'll understand why in a second now we don't need these pieces anymore but now you see this is going to be the next part of the picture but it's going to be a little bit further up so that's going to going to be our second picture so we have so far the background and now the next piece now the background is going to be the part that has the white border so we don't need the white border on any other picture so now we have to think what's further ahead so it looks like the beta mikdash is further ahead and these trees and rocks I think are even further ahead so what we're going to do is we're going to do just the beta mikdash and the ramp that goes to the Mount of Olives the harim all the way there so here we go we're going to cut out just the base just the B [Music] mikash all right so now you might say it's not as much but what it will be is it will still it's we didn't cut out very much of the picture we cut almost the exact same as this other picture but that's because we want the pictures to be puffed up you're going to see when we put them a lot higher they're going to be a lot lot more forward a lot more straight and a lot more 3D right they're going to be popping out and lastly I think the trees over here are much closer to where this person who's looking at this picture would be standing the trees are much closer in the picture than the b m Das so let's cut out just the trees and the Big Cliff here that will be the last part of our picture here we go it's a very nice picture okay so now we have our pieces of our kind of our 3D Puzzle almost we have the background then we have the next the for the more foreground even more and then even more now right now it might look confusing how that looks that's not going to be our final product what we're going to do now is going to go one piece by piece we're going to take some double-sided tape and we're going to tape it on the back of the first foreground picture foreground is the opposite of background it's the part that's more forward not so much in the back so I'm going to put some tape on all the corners of this piece just so it really pops out and double-sided tape you can either cut with scissors or if you're really good you can rip it with your hands or just pull it and it'll rip apart you don't want any tape to be seen you want the tape to be in the back of the picture don't let any piece stick out we're going to put tape on there I think another piece of tape right here and what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to double up the double-sided tape I'm going to make it even more poppy so I'm going to put a double piece of tape on each part so I'm put another piece of tape on top of there another piece of oops sorry another piece of tape on top of here just so the picture really pops out all right another piece of double-sided tape on this one and another piece of doublesided tape on that one all right so now that I have a really you see how thick how there there's some tape on the back of this so the tape on the back is going to be what's going to make it pop out so now we take our background and our first foreground we just want to put just on top of where the other of where the picture really should be so there we go and don't push too hard you just want to make it sticky a little bit okay there we go so now we have our first foreground of our picture okay next we got to find the next foreground picture which is remember we said just the beta mikdash now the stuff in the background is going to be even further back so again you're going to put the page upside down and you're going to start double siding double-sided taping the picture so here I'm going to do the same thing now you don't have to use such long pieces you could use thin pieces because we really really want to make sure that it's going to pop and really stick out so we don't have to use such big piece the two pieces is perfectly fine now again you're going to put the page the picture the foreground picture now on top of where the background was so right on top of there and just like that all right and last but not least we want to put our last page our last piece of of the trees remember the trees are closer to us in the picture so we want to make them really 3D really popping [Music] out same idea we're going to put on top of where it is the trees over there and there we go now as you see it's a three 3D picture you see how it's kind of popping out it's not exactly flat anymore it's a 3D picture well there you go it's our 3D beta mikdash picture try it yourself at home ask your mommy or daddy your imemo or ABA to help you find a picture of the beta mikdash or anything you want keep the background in the back and try to keep building the foreground until it gets really really close well we know Tisha baav remembers the destruction of the
