Shalom Aleichem everyone. I hope you're doing amazing wherever you are. I wanted to remind you about two important things that are happening today. Second thing that is not less important and probably even more, I have made a a video yesterday and I explained that in my lecture that today is the 25th day of the month of Elul, which is the day the world was created. If you remember in the first book of of Bereshit, in the beginning of the Torah, Kadosh Baruch Hu says, "Vayehi or." And there should be light. And the word or, light, is mentioned five times in the first five pesukim of the Torah. The Ben Ish Hai, the holy Ben Ish Hai explains that those five times that the word or is mentioned in the Torah represents the godly light that came down to this world when the world was created, the first light that penetrated into this world and started the creation. The Ben Ish Hai calls it the light of mercy, the light of Hashem. And tonight, today, sorry, it was yesterday night Sunday, today the whole day this spiritual light is shining in the same intensity it did at the time of creation. Therefore, it's a powerful day to tap into this godly light with repentance, with prayer, with charity. And basically, you just want to tap into this godly light. And the Ben Ish Hai says that this is the light that will take you to a powerful blessing in Rosh Hashanah. The light of mercy, the light of Hashem, the time where everything is is being ready to be forgiven and for Hashem to bless you with everything that you your heart desires. So, you don't need to do much today. The Ben Ish Hai says that one should light five candles and recite a few verses from the Tanakh, then light the candles, and recite the five five five verses from Bereshit along with some charity. And and then to pray from your heart, to do teshuvah, and to take advantage of the day. Therefore, I made a page on my website at smud.org/5candles where you will find, first of all, all the instructions you need to know about what to do, how to do, when, the prayers that you need to recite in English and in Hebrew. Everything that you need to know is on that page. And you can also submit a donation on that page because the Ben Ish Hai recommends to do a $18 donation for every candle. Uh $18 is the numerical value the gematria of 18 "high". And the Ben Ish Hai actually recommends to do 68 in the increments of 68 per candle because 68 is the numerical value of Chaim of life. Uh so you you can divide it, you can do it together. Best to give it to poor people and to people who learn Torah. And sometimes we don't need to ask too many things and to understand too many things. We just need to rely on our great sages. They just tell us what to do. So don't miss out.
