for 20 minutes waiting like good kids. Dove, the live is on, right? Give me some thumbs up that I see that everything's fine. No, no, I'm [Laughter] talking to the ones in the camera. >> Uh, okay. Good evening everybody. Shv. I hope you are all doing amazing and I hope you had a wonderful Shabbat. We had an amazing amazing Shabbat over to Bav was bet. We had a beautiful Shabbaton in Long Beach was great. Very very powerful. And uh thank you all for the local ones for for coming and short such short notice. I appreciate and I also apologize that for the last minute the tour got interrupted and some of the the lectures got cancelled but uh unfortunately last week my brother passed away and uh mad we're going to dedicate this lecture to his elevation of his soul bin Abraham and so unfortunately I had to cancel a few a few of the lectures. This one happened to be that uh was holding. So it must be that the message is important enough that everybody needs to hear. But uh you know we're going to talk a little bit about single people. Uh unfortunately my brother he died very young. He was only 40 and he never got married. So, and he never had he doesn't have kids. So, maybe each and every one of you can take on yourself a mitzvah, read some, give some charity and that will be his name is Ben Abraham. Uh yesterday we celebrated a very very powerful day the 15th day of Av that that our sages say that [Music] our sages compare the day of atonement to the day of of the 15th of A. They're very easy to understand from that that if our sages connect to then the 15th day of a has a very powerful significance and I know many people and know and familiar that the 15th day of a is the I don't like calling it like that but the Jewish Valentine's Day the day of love it's much more greater than that it's not only about love marriages have has the significance of breaking through barriers and tonight I'm actually not going to explain about that. I want to talk about other things but if that interesting to you to know then go to my website there is a few lectures that I explain the significance of what does it mean that tab has the power of breaking something in open so to say or the really the biblical term to that is called is the splitting of the sea and uh it's true that it's a very powerful day but is known for and for praying praying and for meeting your other half and many many people take advantage of that which is not it's correct it's it's true but is also known a forim b for parasa and more than that the nature of the 15th day of a is switching something from dark to light from evil to good because the first part of the month of Av the energy of the month is considered not a good good not a good energy. If we if you want to be exact then we know that every month there's a certain a certain shine in the world that is dependent on the combination of the letters of name yud of kabala explains that the master of the universe shines his beautiful light towards the universe the light that is called the infinite light or he just shines it Now unfortunately there's not one creation or creature angel soul that can sustain this light. Therefore who created all these partitions what's called contractions of the light that the creature can accept the light and of course each one in his level and the more the level is higher of the creature and I'm saying creature because it's not only human beings it can be souls and it can be any living being that that will get a a shine from that. So our purpose in life is to grow higher and higher and higher that I can receive much more from this godly light which means that I need much less timid that cannot sustain the light. It can be up to what's called an a nullification. If there wouldn't be this filter system then we wouldn't sustain this godly light. we would actually expire on the spot. Therefore, the koshul sets up a system that he contracts this light in many different ways. Now, the contractions is depending on the person or the creature. The the reason I'm saying creature because in Hebrew it's called nra something that is created and the level of the creature will determine how much light it can absorb. And needless to say that when we observe the mitzvot, the mitzvot are called levushim garments that are covering our soul. And with that I can reach to different levels and heights in spiritual to receive this godly light and not to and to benefit from it not to the other way around. One of the many reasons why we have so many mitzvot our sages say the master of the universe wanted to give merit to the nation of Israel. So he gave them a lot of Torah and a lot of mitzvot and not to keep you busy or to make your life hard rather wanted to give you merit. So he gave you a lot of Torah and a lot of mitzvot. Now what does it mean a lot of a lot of mitzvot? means that in any situation you will be you can fulfill the Torah and there shouldn't be a situation that you're saying oh right now I'm in this location in the world I cannot do or right now it's a time of the day or I have some restriction that I cannot do to mitzvot so when it says wanted to give merit to Israel he gave us a lot of and a lot of so you can do mitzvot in the morning and you can do mitzvot in the afternoon you can mitzvot all day long 24/7 365 days of the year you can do mitzvot at any given moment learn to there's not one time of the day that anyone can say oh I wanted to do a mitzvah and I couldn't that's the idea of he gave them a lot of but why then beginning of the sentence is he wanted to give them a lot of merit the says don't read it zakot Israel rather read it is means to purify to elevate to cleanse them to clean them. Therefore we have a lot of Torah and a lot of mitzvot. So when I apply the Torah and the mitzvot not only that I'm receiving some type of a reward or merit in the world to come and it shouldn't really interest you if you're receiving anything. Our sages in the attracted avot in essics of the of the fathers says don't don't serve hashem for the purpose of getting a reward. Serve hashem for the purpose of ser serving him. If you have in your back of your mind some uh some ulterior motive. Oh, I'm going to do this mitzvah so in the world to come I can get a reward. Then you're not really fulfilling the mitzvah the right way. Our sages say very very clearly serve hem shim. Do do it for the sake of serving hashem. Not because you want to get some reward. So I'm not even talking about a reward in the world to come. If Hashem wants to give us a reward, let him give. He doesn't want to give a reward that's also fine. You know there's a story withto on on that topic with the reward. I shared that story many times. But the story goes that one time he used to travel a lot. Now you can get the idea where I get the idea of the concept of traveling all the time. So, and no offense, I don't like the traveling. It's not fun for me to live on suitcases for two months and to shle my entire family and one day I'm sleeping here and the next day I'm sleeping here and flights all day long and it's a not easy. But Malto used to go with one daughter. I'm going with seven kids. So, it's a little bit different. But he had a horse and buggy. I'm flying with Delta. So, you know, you win some, you lose some. But nevertheless, the the Bahamto used to travel all the time. In one of his travels, he reached to Turkey to Istanbul and it was the eve of Pesak. And he arrived there full of amuna. Full of amuna. Amuna means belief in God. His amuna was such a high level that he arrived to the city. He has no wine, no mats. He doesn't know even where he's staying. Not that I'm shalom comparing myself to the balto, but kind of like me. I also land in places I don't even know where I'm staying today. I don't know where I'm eating tomorrow. It's all Hashem. I a lot of people you don't plan. I try to plan but a lot of thoughts in the and in the in the mind of a person decides what happens. So Hashem keeps me very alert on my my toes. I don't know where I'm sleeping tomorrow, where I'm doing this or that. So nevertheless, the Mento comes to the to his and he went about to do his business and he and his daughter went to the market to find some stuff. It's of Pesak. A certain individual recognized her. Happened to be that that was like the gir of the city, the rich man of the city. He approached her and told her, "You're the daughter of the Benta, right?" He told she told him, "Yes." So he said, "If you're here, must be your father's here, right?" And she's like, "Yeah." And he told and she told him, "Yeah, we came from PES, but we still don't know where we are." He's like, "You don't know where to where you going? What you coming to me?" So, problem solved. They have where to sleep. They have mats. They have wine. They have the whole thing. Okay. But it came with a little condition. He told her, "I want to speak to your father before the holiday for a few minutes." So, they arrived to the place. The BMT had a mag. It means an angel that would talk to him in his ear all the time. Of course, nobody saw the angel, many great many great sages and and they have a muggi, a little angel that walks around with them and whispers in the air, don't do this, don't do that, look at this, look at that. So the magi told the balto that this man doesn't have a boy, he doesn't have a child. So the balm walks into the room and the person doesn't even talk. He just right away blesses him and tells him by the end of the year you have a benzah. You have a male boy and you're going to bring him into the covenant of Abrauat. Of course, the man was very happy. But Hashem wasn't so happy and right away came a heavenly voice and announced to the you know the rule is that the sadik says something the kadosh has to do it. The heavenly voice came out and said to the bentov, "You just lost your entire lama. Who told you to bless this man? He's not supposed to have children. That's that's his mazal and you now changed the mazal and now we have to giving a a boy. Therefore, you lost your entire lama." Now imagine you would get such a message that you lost your break down and cry. The balmto started dancing, jumping up and down from joy, dancing. When he was asked, "Why are you dancing?" He's like, "I don't have now. I can actually serve Shamim 100% cuz I'm not getting anything. I don't have." So right away a heavenly voice came out and said, "Just because of that attitude, you get your back double." So, so going back to what I was saying, we don't want to serve Hashem for motive for something for that. I want to get something and remember what I'm saying right now because at the end I'm going to conclude about that and I'm going to give you just a little nugget before the end that you're not going to sit on the edge of the seat. Most people when they pray or when they do a certain act of kindness, they do it cuz they want something to happen. And that's what most people do, especially when they're looking to get married or peace in the house and of the kids. They're like, "Oh, I'll do this and this." Of course, it's not said publicly, but Hashem, Hashem knows what's going on in your heart, and he knows all your thoughts. And when you do something and you're saying, "I'm going to do a to receive this." Then that doesn't work so well. It doesn't mean you're not going to get it, but that's not the right way to do it. And it could be that you're not going to get it because Hashem says, "No, I don't want you to do it. You're not doing me any favors." Don't now pretend you're so pious cuz you want to get something. You know, I have a shul. We pray there every day. And there's the same men that come every day. Once a year comes a man, it happens in all the jewels by the way, goes after the prayer to the Aron Kodesh, starts kissing the Aron Kodesh, starts making love to the Kesh. What are you doing here? I didn't see you for a whole year. Oh no, I have a trial today and I need some uh good prayers from Shamine. And now you remember to come the whole year. Where were you? Now you suddenly have to go to some trial. you come and start kissing the ownesh and start waving donations into the jeul why didn't you do that on a regular base maybe you wouldn't get to the trial to start with but Hashem doesn't like it when you're in a jam and you go and do something cuz you want to get out of that problem I mean it's natural when you think about it you have a problem then you do some acts the reason why we have problems by the way the only reasons why we have difficulties and problems is for you to wake up and do chuva. That's it. Of course, it's much more than that is, you know, can be the effect of your behavior. But nevertheless, the concept why Hashem is bringing on to you challenges and situations that are difficult is only for you to wake up from it and to do cha. That's it. Like even now, you know, last week I had to sit cha. I had to go through all the laws the of it's not something that it's actually something that is not recommended to learn. I remember when I came to the section of the the laws of autout when I was learning my rabbi told me that don't learn it when you'll need to do it now skip it. It doesn't matter that I had to learn it many many times already before but now I had to review it again. And one of the first things that it says in the laws of aut when you mourn is why do you say chiva why do you do count the 30 days I mean I'm not talking about kabalana what happens mystically I'm talking then it says very clearly for the reason why you're sitting in mourning is for you to do chuv that you will sit and be like oh my god one day I'm going to be in the ground one day I'm going to have to go up to shamim and you know it's that day can be very quick Yeah, a person doesn't know how long they have. So when you when you bury a loved one, the concept of the burial and the Shiva and all around the first thing that our sages teach us is you should do chuva. You should see what's going on. Now you're in a very weak point. Your heart is is in pain. You know like in many of the sit many scenarios in the Torah that we learn that somebody like Abra who comes to bury his wife it says mash like he was sitting in pain. So now that's when Hashem says now you have to do of course the the the things that we do during the the the Shiva and the kadish and all that's also the benefit of the naba but nevertheless the idea is for you to do cha. So the same thing, Hashem brings all sorts of challenges in our life and difficulties and situations that I feel nothing's working out. A lot of it I would say now just to to ease our mind 50% of it of of when I'm saying challenges and situations don't work out because Hashem is telling you in his words it has not nothing to do with you. Stop trying. Stop putting so much effort. A lot of the times you opportunities close in your face and you don't understand why. Half the time it's Hashem telling you in his words, don't go there. Don't move to there. Don't start that job. Don't date that person. Hashem is saving you from a headache. Unfortunately, we are so stubborn that we don't see that Hashem is really trying to save us from a headache. But in many many of the situations when you fail when things don't work out how you want when you want to do something and you can't find all any way how to achieve it just know that in many of the cases it's Hashem telling you let it go move on it's not your path it's not your shiduk it's not your business it's not your it's not where you need to live and Hashem is saving you from a huge headache I learned that a long long time ago not to push something something doesn't work out too much. You do your you do your prayers. You do a little bit of what you need to do and that's it. And if it doesn't work out, thank you Hashem that you saved me from a headache. How many bad deals I was saved from going into because Hashem diverted my way. Now, the more connected you are to Hashem, the more these messages are are are clear. That is a different topic. We're not going to even talk about it tonight. But the more you refine yourself and the more you connect it to Hashem, those messages are clear as daylight that you approach a certain situation, you get a very clear divine message not to do, don't touch, not has nothing to do with you. And this is I'm talking about when you're trying to meet your other half, when you're dating, it can be in a school that you want to put your child, a business deal that you want to to to go into, a job, a a new location, everything. So now just to ease our ear and don't take the number but I would say 50% of the situations when things don't work in your life that's Hashem telling you move on move on stop wasting your time on that and that's what most people do they waste their time on nonsense the other 50% just for the sake of the example and again don't catch me on the numbers I'm just assuming that we will have in our mind some picture the other 50% I will divide it into 25% is your behavior that you bringing on yourself. Whatever challenge or difficulty that you're dealing with with your pathetic behavior, whether you sin, whether you treat other people bad, whether you judgmental, it doesn't matter. Your behavior will invite a certain energy. You can call it measure for measure. You can call it kamanim and many other terms that the Torah caters. But the reality is that you I like to call it when you do a certain action there will be a reaction. That's how it works. You do a positive action it will bounce back at you a very positive reaction. And if you do a action that is not so positive don't think that positive reactions will come. Many of the situations there complete opposite. So 25% your behavior, but the other 25% that's Hashem trying to make you come closer to him and he wakes you up. Now if you initiate it then you don't have to worry. You're not going to have too many challenges and problems in your life. When you initiate the closeness to Hashem, not you're not required to put yourself in a in a challenge. Don't bring me to a place of a of a challenge. But when you go the step forward by yourself without Hashem forcing you, then Hashem doesn't need to give you any challenges. He says he does it by himself. Therefore, you want not to deal with Hashem's headaches, then you initiate actions, positive actions in your life and you know monitor yourself that you're constantly growing. If you have a very very very good rabbi that you're very very close to, then you're very very lucky cuz that rabbi will constantly pull you and tell you what to do. And I know many people tell me, "You my rabbi. I'm not your rabbi. If you live 5,000 miles from me, you might be learning from me on the internet, but I cannot be your rabbi. I can be a rabbi when you come and I see you every day and I see how you pray and if you come every day and if you come three times a day and how you behave while you're in the Besset if you talk or you don't are you on the phone or you don't are you late or you come early and do you help clean or do you I can see the person and I know a lot of people consider themselves my students but it's the same thing. How can I know who? I don't even know who you are. The students that sit in front of me, then I see who comes to the class, who listens, who falls asleep, who texts on their phone. So, it's much easier to be a rabbi to somebody that I'm next to, and I can tell them, "Uh-uh, no, no, no, not like that." I can correct them. I see their behavior. I can tell them right away, you have is great, but how you treat your wife is disgusting. and how you treat other people or how you treat the kadusha of the so it's very hard to have a rabbi 5,000 miles away from you try to get a hold of me let's see you what kind of a rabbi is that so I'm glad to share Torah online and I'm glad to answer questions but you need somebody close to you that can look at you and tell you as you are wrong where to fix and when you are good he gives you a he strengthens But a person needs to constantly monitor themselves. If you can do it by them by yourself, I go to my rabbi every four months if I need. I don't usually I don't even need I come every you know before the to wish or something. I only very very big difficult questions I will go and bother my rabbi cuz he's if I'm busy he's 5,000 times more busy than me but they need me to come and me driving him nuts. I learned from a very early stage in my ja you have an issue open the book don't start calling the rabbi for every little question you have but not everybody could do that so you want a guide now if you don't have a guide then you need to be to you need to be your own mentor if you can reach to this level go ahead I know how to look at myself every day and to be a critic of myself and to write down to myself my plan and that's why I tell you for the last 20 years you have to say the schma not nec necessarily for the spiritual part to take five minutes out of your busy day to introspect on on what you did that day. Very few people do it. Very few people actually do it. They might very few people say their bedtime. Let's start with that. Uh the little that do say they say it very fast with not much. And the ones who are really smart, they they say the whole thing. But I know that most people don't say it's late at night, you're tired, you have all the excuses in the world, but if you would know how powerful that prayer is, you wouldn't miss that at all. And beyond the actual prayer, it's time to sit down for a few minutes and do some uh introspection. How was my day? Was I nice today to my wife or my husband? Did I treat my kids nice today? Do I owe anybody anything? that I promised something to someone and I didn't fulfill it. You know many times I see people in front of my face failing just with that saying something which is called a nether and they don't do that and they don't understand why things don't work out in their life because you promise things and you don't do them and that's called the nether and if you think that once a year you'll go and do and you finish with it. No, the the nullification of the vow that you do is it's a backup of a backup of a backup of a backup for all the chuva you were supposed to do on in two weeks is alul starting the chuva they have the whole month to do chuva to make amends with things and then after that go and do the notification of the vows but I see every day people they just promise you things and it's not even in a form of a promise they just tell you something now you know it's a little bit annoying to say but a person has to add to to say I don't promise I will try my best so when you sit on you want to go over all every part of your day so you can do chuva because the next day you don't remember what you did that day you will remember who you insulted who you owe money who you borrowed something and didn't give back on that day you remember the next day 50% you don't remember already so how you going to do chuva how you going to repent for what you did and then you think on you going to do chuva going back a whole year so the reason why I'm saying that with malamita is when you introspect you you monitor yourself and you give yourself points I was okay I was less good I need to work more harder the concept is that you constantly want to grow grow grow every day you want to grow if you didn't grow every day, then you're missing out. And that's another big problem that most people don't understand, don't take to consideration. But I'm not going to talk about that, the the waste of time. And the reason why I'm not going to talk about that because in two weeks is I'm going to have a big event in Florida. You're not going to be there, but it's going to be broadcast live like this. And then I'm going to explain the whole concept and how we going to attack the month of alul that bzantem each and every one of you including me will have an amazing alul that eventually we'll have an amazing sh so bzandem stay tuned in two weeks we're starting we're going to start there's going to be a lot of important and valuable information but I can already tell you that the failure of most people is they waste their time they just most people waste their time all day long especially on And you all giggle and laugh because you are all guilty. And maybe one out of this crowd doesn't even know what I'm talking about. And the rest of you are like, so when you waste your time, don't expect too many things good good things happening in your life. And not that I'm trying to break your spirit. But I'm just telling you how to to shape your day that it will be successful that you will bring success on yourself because at the end of the day the kalu wants from you one thing he wants you to grow spiritually and when you're not doing it yourself then he's going to start bothering you in many different ways. Because if you don't put yourself to the to the workout, he will make you work out with all these difficulties and all these challenges that you don't understand where they're coming from. And certain things that you dream of and nope, doesn't work out. And I'm not going to go to the extreme things that bother you, but you all understand exactly what I'm talking about. So when Hashem is demanding growth, you can either do it yourself or not or let Hashem bend your hand and force you to grow. With that said, I started this is by the way the introduction. The lecture is going to have to be five minutes because the introduction is already half an hour. We're not going to have a 4-hour lecture. Don't worry. We're not going to talk about how the world is going to explode and that's leave once a month. I'll give you that. Now we're going to talk words of and how to achieve what you need to to do. So I was talking about before what explained that the kadosh projects his godly light to the world in order to shine on us his greatness, his love, his kindness, everything. But if it would not be filtered, we would all be expired on the spot. If you need to relate with what I'm talking about expired right on the spot, take now a candle and in a very dark room and light the candle. Then the light of the candle basically took over the darkness. It diminished the darkness and you see the light of the candle. Now take that candle as it is lit. Take it outside to the street in midday. Would you see the light of the candle? No. Would the light of the candle affect anything? No. The light of the candle is completely anolified to the light of the sun. That's what I'm talking about. That when a person, a creature, a soul, a human being is close to Hashem with no contractions, the person doesn't exist. In theory, of course. So kadu created a system that everything has leushim garments and the garments allow you to sustain the light according to your level. How do you create these garments? Through as I explained in the beginning wanted to give us a lot of merit. He gave us a lot of and these they serve as garments to the and eventually when Hashem shines his godly light you can sustain it. one way or another and even in this world right now you can see the differences between a person who's extremely observant and I'm not talking about the fake ones talking about a real one a real observant individual then you see that the godly light affects that person much more how do you see that it's affecting first of all the person is is you see if you can you see the light on the face you seek ducha on the face and only that you can see that the person is in a different place and usually it will be a great rabbi or a great scholar, a great sadic. Why? Because the person is much closer to Hashem. So the behavior of this individual is different than most people in many different ways. Being said that the Hashem projects his light in that way, then there are many forms of timsum, many forms of these contractions, many forms of the the the screens that I'm referring to. But the way Hashem enlightens the world through his name Yud Vav, the power of Havaya of of creation, then Hashem takes the letters Yudke Vav and every month the letter combination changes. The order of the letters change. That means that how the light is shining to the world changes too. And the explanation for that if you need to have a visual in your mind 40 years ago when I used to go to watch movies in a movie house there would be a big screen on the wall and a projector from behind us beaming a beam of light onto the wall. Now assuming there's nothing there the light that is reflected on the wall is yellow or whitish something like that. Now if you will put any obstacle between the beam of light like a gel with a color and the gel is the color red then the light on the screen will be red and if you do it blue then the screen will be blue. When we used to go to the movie houses we used to put our hands like this in the in the in the light and then the shadow would be on the wall and everybody would go like that and you know bunnies and ducks and and it was all on the screen. That's the concept. the beam of light is projecting on a surface. And when there's an object stopping that light, then there's a different reflection on the surface. That's the concept. So, Hashem projects his godly light into the universe through the letters yud and the letter hey and the letter vav and the letter hey. Now, just imagine in your mind how it looks on the wall. If you would actually do it, then on the wall will be written. Since it's not the same, this is just an analogy for me to explain to you how it works. We don't see that. But for you to understand, when the letters are organized in the order of you, the n and then that's the perfect order. That is the shine in the month of Nissan. Now, in the month of the order of the letters change and then in the month of Sivan, the or the letters change. The rule is that when it starts, it always will switch in pairs. The yud and the h and the vav and the hey. Where the r is when the yud is coming in the beginning and the vav is in the beginning. This is coming from a motion of of kindness. The ru is when the hey is in the beginning and the other letter is next. That coming from from severity and judgments. In the month of tamuz the both of them are the other way around. Instead of aud. So the month of Tamuz is considered like the worst type of energy because it's completely the other way around a on a beginning of the month is a hey and a yud the the other way around very negative but from two it changes and the ud comes first. So the second part of the month of a is changing completely. So you can feel that from everything changes new beginning you have two weeks now till that are very powerful. A lot of people don't talk about that which I don't understand why people talk about and then they talk about and then the whole month of but you have now two weeks of unbelievable growth two weeks of an opportunity to grab that change that motion that you switch from bad to good from evil to good from darkness to light. Therefore, it's not only to yesterday on two that we were celebrating. We have now two weeks that we're celebrating. And what are we celebrating? The opportunity for me to tap into the option to switch something from negative to positive in my life. It all depends on the individual. Now, I'm already telling you don't now start searching for, you know, meaningless things. This is done for things with a lot of a lot of meaning. With that said, talking about the concept of shidim of meeting your other half and I'm I'm going to add on that the concept that is called schlomite peace in the home because that's something that one a lot of people don't understand and I had to clarify it very very clear la yesterday in the shabbaton that I did. We had a beautiful shabbaton in Long Island. a lot a lot of amazing amazing people and there was a group of people that we sat between the hours and I was trying to explain to them something that I don't think most of them got for a year two three five shalom 10 or 20 you're constantly looking for your other half and you're praying to meet the other half and you're going on dates and disappointments and I'm not talking about somebody who's 19 chick finds their other half and everything's fine I'm talking about unfortunately many many people that it's not in their 20s already. It's in their 30s and 40s that they can't seem to find their other half, their mate, their shiduk, their ziv. And of course, what do they do? Oh, you turn the whole world around. You know, every possible grave in the world, they've been there. Did all this gulot, all the remedies, all everything. Listen, I've been there. I've been everywhere. I know how things work. And I can tell you already that all the the the nonsense that most people do doesn't work. It's nice. It's good, but it doesn't work cuz a lot of people are missing the point, which that's why you came tonight. But one thing that I don't understand and I'm I'm trying to always explain to people and yesterday I sat with a group of people and they couldn't they couldn't go down to the depth of my what I'm trying to say which is very simple by the way you look for your other half for a year two 10 years 20 years you searching for her for him you praying everything finally when you find this person and marry them 3 months into the wedding Oh, suddenly she's like the biggest enemy. He is like the most annoying person in the world. Now you have a whole new saga starting. We don't get along. What a mistake. I should have married him. What a lazy bum. And she and her mother-in-law and all. Where were you two minutes ago when you were praying and crying all day long looking for her? Now you finally found her. And all day long you complain. I don't get that. What did you think is going to happen when you find that special one for you? You think you're going to walk into the sunset holding hands and hearts in the background and confettes? [Music] Yeah, I know you're all nodding. That doesn't happen. >> It doesn't happen. It happens in Hollywood. That's it. In real life, there's no hearts in the background. >> Wait, wait, wait, wait. Comments don't get you anywhere because I don't hear anything. So, I just see hands moving and uh I was taught when I was young, listen till the end, then then then say your comments. But nevertheless, why am I saying that? Because the reality is that that's what most most people do. You are right. It shouldn't be like that. And you're also right. There should be hearts in the background. I don't know who will do the hearts in the background, but it doesn't matter. But the fact is there shouldn't be a situation where there's no romance between a couple 20 years later. But the reality, let's cut to the chase. While you're dating, oh, you're madly in love. Madly in love. Oh, I sometimes I see men they go after her like honey and the textes they send. Oh, oh, I miss you. And a whole different person two years into the marriage. And where was all the hearts that you were texting two years ago? So the reality, I'm sorry to break uh your big hopes and dreams. Once you get married, the job starts. There's no hearts in the backgrounds and walking into sunsets. And that's the fake people do these fake pictures to put on Instagram that all their friends will think that their love is that great, but after they faked the picture, then it's back to square one. And so that's the problem with social media. Everybody needs to show that life is great around people. You know, not too long ago, I was also in one in Shabbaton. I saw the couple. You would think that's the couple from Instagram with all the hearts and they looked like this perfect couple. He was looking at her and she was looking at him and he was pouring wine for her and wow. I was like, "Wow, that's amazing. They're probably married for like 20 years at one big show. The joke was that he came to me quietly towards the end of the Shabbaton. I need to talk to your rabbi. Then he grabbed me for an hour and a half telling me how how all how bad she is. And ironically, she went to my wife quietly and held her for two hours and it happened to be that Shabbat, my wife and me and talking and she we didn't know how to kind of like break the news to each other cuz my wife and we barely talk and definitely not and I was I was about to tell her you know that the girl that you talk to her husband they look in love but he's not happy. No. So, so I didn't know how to break the news. And my wife was the one that did that. She came into the car and she was like, "You know that couple that sat in front of us? She doesn't like him." And I was like, "Really? That's shocking." So, the bottom line was that it was all one big show for the community wherever we were. And they were holding hands, the whole thing. And with the reality, he came with a list. He even go to Costco with such a list with a list of complaints and hero every second day planning the divorce. So why am I saying that? Because you're right. A certain amount of the couples, it's not the right. They go into the marriage forced by the parents or forced by whatever it is or they're pressured by their age or shalom. They look at the other half and she's beautiful and he's rich and there's no connection. He likes how she looks and she likes his bank account and that's it. And then uh a year or two into the marriage there's a divorce. But the majority of the marriages they don't work well. It is the right shid. They just don't know how to work the schlomite. So my advice to you when you're praying for your other half, be careful for what you wish. Okay? So wish for don't wish for her to look a certain way. Wish for her to be respectful and quiet and for him to be A, B, and C. I'm going to tell you what your wishes should be. But the fact is that marriage is not a simple thing. Marriage is not like you what you think in the dating period. In the dating period, you head over heels and before the dating, you have all these plans and this and that. But when that's it, when the marriage is done and you're starting the wedding and the life starts, if you're lucky or I would say more, if you're smart, then you keep that romance and the love from from the first day and it will stay the whole the whole time. Very difficult. It requires two amazingly humble individuals. It won't work otherwise. And that's why most people have schlumb issues. They have schlumbai means that the couples are not getting along. It's not that he's annoying and that he's lazy and she's that. That's not the case. It's the problem is that most people don't know how to look at themselves and to be a critic of themselves. In schlomite issues in problems between the husband and wife, it's because everybody's looking at themselves and not looking at the other person. It's very simple. You can solve schlomite issues within one second. But most people are too stubborn to do that. And the reason why I'm saying that because we're first we're talking about finding your other half. Just know where you're going into. Don't don't don't think you're walking into the love boat. Okay? And uh well only the old people understand what I just said. I don't the younger the young people are like who Captain Stubing who Loveboat was a show way before Netflix way and it was a cruise ship that all the couples would come there everybody would be in love there and it was the love boat okay so there's no love boats there's Kosha Kosha America kosherica all that no love boats no captain stubing and no other whatever the other guys were so and I'm connecting especially the shidim and the the finding the other half and and marriage wait we didn't get to paranasai parasa making your livelihood that comes as the third element that causes problems these are the main three things that uh people deal with either than health everybody has that department But 90% of it is your blood fault because what you eat and what you drink and the radiation you are exposed to and the junk that is sprayed on you all day long and many other things, it's your fault. Take care of your health, you're not going to deal with health issues. The other day we looked, we were in a certain sit certain place and there were two older individuals and it was very hard to see them how they're aging. And both my wife and me looked at it and we agreed that shouldn't be the end of somebody's life. A person should not end their life in sickness. If that's what Hashem wants me, but the majority of the diseases and sicknesses that people go through isund well 90% their problem, their fault that you don't take care of your body, you don't eat right, you don't sleep well, you don't do anything right. Let's put it this way. And I see how people treat themselves. And the reason why I'm a good indication cuz just in the last month, every day I was in a different location, different city, and every Shabbat I'm in a different place. So I see a lot a lot of people how they behave. And I see all the Coca-Cola on the tables. So I I I I don't see water. I see Coca-Cola, Zero, Sprite, and then all the rest of the junk. And then then don't don't whine, okay? Don't don't complain. If all day long you're eating and drinking junk and consuming junk such as white sugar, white flour, GMO, MSG, all the chemicals that you're eating. I go here into the supermarkets. I don't know how you I don't know how you do that. I actually don't know how you do it. And then people tell me, "Oh, go to Whole Foods and go same junk. Same junk. Just looks a little bit nicer." And they and they lie to you and it says organic. Or Yeah. Really organic. So organic, you you grow it yourself. That will be organic, not coming from some field that you don't even know where it's coming from. H So the health department, I'm not going to even talk tonight. I can already tell you, take care of your body. Your body will take care of you. Very simple. Not that I'm trying to put anybody down, but I guarantee to you, I even challenge you. Let's go all go out and let's run two blocks down. Who's coming with me? Three people raise their hands. The other ones will be with their tongue out. Listen, everybody's good in pretending. Okay, let's drop on the floor. See how many push-ups you can do. I'm 51 years old. I'll put you to any challenge. And not that I'm trying to show off or anything. I keep myself in good shape. It's nothing against the Torah. I work out every day. I run. I work out. Why? Not not for anything, but for my health. I don't need to be 70 years old and and come like that. No, no, no, no, no, no. Sorry. I'm not going to fall for that. I'm not going to die old and sick. Whatever I can do in my ability, I will do. And it's an obligation. By the way, a healthy soul is in a healthy body says. And not only that, the Torah tells you you have to guard your very that means your body. You're not allowed to put yourself in dangerous situations. You're not allowed to to to expose your body to something that might harm the body. You have to may take that to consideration. One day you might stand in front of God and you will be like why did you treat that body bad? That body is not yours. But the reality is when you treat it the right way, you will benefit from that. Who needs to be breathing heavy and walking with a back like this and can't carry nothing? It's uh so that's why I'm saying the department of health a lot of it is you the rest is of course the blessing of Hashem but I can tell you already that if you take care of your health completely 90% of your sicknesses you won't have and you'll age and mature healthy. So I'm not going to talk about the problems of health. You know when I meet people it's not only for the last month for the last 20 years but the last month I'm traveling in the United States every every day I'm somewhere else and systematically everybody comes up to me and everybody has a one little question little question it's three and a half hours I'm not going to take much of your time I have failed in my last 20 years to to listen to a short question. Ah, actually, you know what? I take it back. There was one guy who called me like uh like as if the world is about to explode if he doesn't get an answer. Driving my entire system nuts. I have to talk to the rabbi. It's urgent. Finally, he got me on the phone. He's like, "Rabbi, I know you're busy. I'm not going to take much of your time. I only have one question. I just need a yes or a no." Okay, he asks me the questions and I tell him the answer is no. Now, that's how short the conversation was. The irony, the joke in this call was has nothing to do with our topic, but he told me, "Are you sure?" And I'm like, "Uh, yeah, you don't need to check or something." I said, "No, no, I know." The answer is no. Are you sure 100% that it's no? I told him, "Yes, it's no." So he tells me, "You're the seventh rabbi who's telling me that." So regardless to the stupidity of that call, but it lasted 17 seconds. Most of the questions I hear a migila and my grandmother and then my daughter and my sa and my notil. I'm not trying to hurt anybody. In many of the cases, I I wish I could tell the person, "Spe it up. I'm not stupid. Give me the question. I don't need the whole background. I don't need to hear every little element in the story. Give me the question. Something is not clear, I will ask you. We don't need to sit for two and a half hours you telling me every story." But why am I saying that? Because I get it everywhere. And everybody comes to me and asking me for a moment to get a question through. And I can tell you that if I do a a poll, the four top problems are health, parasa, money, schlumbite, and finding the other half. These are the four major things that people come to me. Ah, once in a blue moon, some sadic comes and tells me, you know, I have all sorts of these foreign thoughts while I'm praying. Do you have something that I can stop these thoughts while I'm praying because I want to pray from my heart? That's like one out of 500,000 that comes and asks a question like that. Usually it's what I told you. Money is issue slumber bite health and and and how do I find my other half and how to raise the kids? That's like number five, but it's way low beyond the rest. Which really the questions that you need to ask a rabbi who comes to your town is how can you become closer to God? What can you do that your mitzvot will be in a different level? What do you need to do to make sure that your chuva is done right? How can I know that I my spiritual growth is going in the right way? That's what you need to ask the rabbi when you meet him. Not you know some nonsense question. I had a business deal and then my partner and then we invested in crypto and lost all the money and uh some of you are laughing. I'm sorry for your loss. Should have asked me before I would tell you which coins to buy or which coins not to buy. But nevertheless, let's get to the point. I told you preparation for the lecture is an hour. The lecture is 5 minutes. So, we're dealing with a few big issues and that's why you're all here. The one, like I told you, everybody wants to meet their other half, their true soulmate, and they're fed up already with all the searches. Number two, you found already that soulmate. Now you're fed up with the soulmate. How do I deal now with that and the mother-in-law? Number three is I have a lot of issues with the soulmate because we don't have money and that causes a lot of schlumbite issues. Right? So we have three situations in our life that are difficult. Very interestingly these three situations are compared compared by our sages to splitting of the sea. Now it says excuse me it says about finding your other half and making money. your parasa is as hard as splitting the sea. So there is a commentary on that that says you saying in other words that something is hard for Hashem. Hashem shouldn't have an issue with doing anything. Why would it be hard for Hashem? Hashem did the splitting of the sea. You're not required to do the splitting of the sea. Right? Last I checked, we are not required to split seas. Hashem does such stuff. So when you're saying like when a person to find his his other half of or of money is hard as splitting the sea. So if it's not required for me, so you're saying it's hard for Hashem to do that. So we have to understand a few things. First of all, let's go to the midrash the to be exact. And uh you know before that sorry let let me go before that to the Talmud. It says in tracked says in the name of this is can retract found in tracked page two a and he says there that finding your other half is as hard as splitting the sea. So it says in the midrash in midrash chapter verse4 and it says that there was a certain rabbi and he quoted a verse from chapter 68 verse 7 and he says he quotes the verse translation god settles the solitary in a house comes a different rabbi who had a contra uh an argument with a certain woman and the woman told him in how many days did Hashem create the world. So he told her in six days. So she tells him and what does Hashem does from then he created the world right? What does he do after that? So he told her he sits and he match matchmakes. He puts souls together. So she tells him what the what's what's the big problem. This is something that uh is such a big deal. I can do that. So he told her I don't think you can really do that. She says what are you talking about? I'll put it to the test. So the story says that she went and took a thousand men and a thousand women and made him and the next day a thousand Matt weddings. Woof her rating in Google just went up. It was five star. One day a thousand. The story says that a few days later, oh boy, what started happening? One guy came with a broken arm. Another guy came his head was swollen. And the other guy came, a black eye. Another guy came, no teeth. >> So she understood it's not so easy to do. She shid him. She just to put two people together and the next day they'll kill each other. I can do that too. You go to her, her, you go to him and not taking any responsibility. I hope you all have health insurance. So she very quickly says uh okay I give up I see how hard it is to do the matching and she said you're right only only the koshu can do such a thing so comes now the continuation of the verse and if you need to read it yourself and learn I told you verse 7 the continuation of the verse go says He takes the prisoners out at the most opportune time in Hebrew. It doesn't translate like that and I don't like the Hebrew anyways. I told you that many times in Hebrew the word that it's used in timos and the the the translation is the most opportune time. If you break the word you can read it is bey. When does Hashem take the prisoners out of out? Who's the prisoner? A person who's stuck in their own mit in their own limitation state of limitation. If you are now not spiritually free, then you are obviously a prisoner. Most people are prisoners. Either they're prisoners through their desires or they're prisoners through their thoughts or they're prisoner to the mother-in-law. No offense to the mother-in-law. And one one lady found it amusing. The rest of them women are like, "Excuse me, you're talking about the mother-in-law. I love my mother-in-law by the way and she have a long long life. >> Uh so when you are stuck in your mit when you are stuck in any state of limitation mitime is not a country to the south of Israel. Mitim is a consciousness it's called mitar a a place of limitation. In our generation they call it addictions. But nevertheless, when you are in a place of which means that you're not spiritually free, you need to go out of your sages say in every generation a person has to see himself like as if he left Egypt. The Balata says every day a person has to see himself like he went out of Egypt. Which means that today I have to go out of my mit, out of my Egypt, out of my state of limitation. And tomorrow I'll have to do that again. How? I'll tell you in 2 minutes exactly how. Very easy to say, extremely hard to do. But first, let's understand what needs to be done. If I don't go out of my mit, I am a prisoner to my own limitation. Some people their limitations is very very severe uh uh addictions can be alcohol, drugs and many others. But the sad reality is that most people are addicted to something and the most sad reality is most of you is addicted to this. There's always excuses. Yeah, I'm learning Torah. No, no, no, no, no, not you. I know. I know. I see the notes. I'm just I have to make listen I have to make jokes. It's a tough time. Everybody's sad. I have to lighten it up. But every time when I tell people when they hold the phone, you're addicted to the phone. I'm I'm I'm learning Torah. I'm listening to you. I know you listen to me. I know you're front line. No need to apologize. Let Let me have fun with the phones a little bit. You're taking notes. Other people watch junk. But be the sad reality is when I tell people you are addicted to your phone. Usually they answer me but I watch your videos. Yeah, good answer. You watch my videos and then another 3 hours of Instagram. So listen, you can watch my videos not not on on your phone. Uh you can come to classes. It's much more convenient. Somebody told me today why there's not enough chairs but you're not expecting so many people. I said no it's broadcast live. Nobody will come. Everybody sits in their home. worrying about their health and why should I come? It's going to be live now. It's going to be recorded. I need to now go in the heat, find parking, dress nice, look nice to for everybody, and then at home here, I can't do I never I never teach when there's food around. The rule is when the the the mouth is busy, the ear doesn't work. you're busy with the so so what I'm saying with the addiction there's many different addictions but a lot of the things is small things that you don't even consider that you are addicted to it or limited by it the way to know is just put it to the challenge take away the phone for three days let's see how you react you know I deal with a lot of drug addicts I have a lot of experience but I deal with a lot of drug addicts So you know many times especially youth I have a lot of youth that I mentor that I guide we have a whole organization just for youth and uh amazing kids very very special kids and the majority of them are from families like religious families but they're all all on drugs and all uh in trouble every second day I'm in the police station. The police station knows me very well every time I come. Okay, ma'am I'm bailing one out. Yeah yeah yeah it's fine. and they bring him bring him over. But why am I saying that? Cuz sometimes I know how it is when somebody doesn't get their little their little fix. They go completely wacko. Now let's see how you going to react if I take your phone for 3 days. Let's see. In the first three hours, you'll be like after like 3 hours you're going to look already. What? You're all laughing cuz I'm 105% right. And if you don't believe me, give me a phone for two days. Let's see how I I'll leave you a number where you can call for help. 1 800 I'm going crazy. So that that this is I'm all going this is all an hour of introduction. My punchline will take one minute. Let it go. You got to be free. Go out of your limitation. Figure out what's your limitation. What's the yummit that is holding you down? And then you'll be on the path of going out of mit. And where did the nation of Israel went when they left mit? They went to Israel to a state of perfection. If you're not doing it physically, at least do it spiritually. I'm talking about physically going to Israel. Everybody has their issues with Israel. I don't know why. I don't This country is not that great. I've been here for the last month. I don't know what you're so excited about this country. But uh that will keep to another lecture. But nevertheless the idea the spiritual part of going out of mit is to walk towards Israel and Israel symbolizes perfection that you reach to your top ultimate purpose in life you reach to and that's what you want to get to. So the idea is h >> yeah yeah that listen you don't have to convince me. I'm I'm go to Israel. If you take suitcases, go right now. Don't wait for anything. It's now the time to go to Israel. Uh it's not only the air, it's everything. But unfortunately, people are educated in a very uh twisted way that Israel is hard. It's very hard there. Look how hard. Look at me. You see how it's very hard in Israel. Extremely hard. So, but everybody knows how to trash Israel. But nevertheless, when it comes to some terror attack, we love Israel. We support Israel. Yeah. So, back to Mitim where everybody is a person needs to go out of their state of limitation which is called mitime. And that's why if you ever thought why we continuing all the time in almost every prayer in every situation that we are we are mentioning the leaving of Egypt and while we pray in the morning and rest of the prayer remembering going out of everything that we do to remember that we left Egypt. Why do we con constantly commemorate that? Because of course going out of Mim is a huge miracle in our in our history. But isn't it a greater miracle the creation of the world? Why are we not commemorating the creation of the world? The six days of creation. That's I think a much greater miracle to create a world. And if you don't want to go that far, why aren't we mentioning the giving of the Torah? The reason why we mention it all the time because that's my daily job every day to go out of my mit to introspect and you do that at night and you see where you didn't go out of your mit and the next day you work on it and I'm talking about mitim as addictions mitime can be how you treat your spouse how you talk to the kid. It's a state of limitation cuz nobody needs to deal with your nonsense like your kids or your spouse or any other other person. And by the way, when you're single, when you're saying, "I don't have a spouse and kid," start working that muscle on other people that when you get to the marriage, you already know how to handle it. Most people don't know how to handle it. And I'm talking about the fact that most people are self-centered. is first my needs and then I worry about everybody else's needs and what they care and what they think and first me. So with the concept of going out of mitim which is really what everybody needs to focus on, if you need to take at least one thing out of the lecture tonight is the idea that at the end of the day like a business owner, if you own a business and assuming that the nature of the business that money comes in every day, not a business that you make a deal once a month, a store owner or something like that, at the end of the day he counts what's the how much was the in the register. How much came in cash? How much came in with credit card? You make some accounts, you look at the papers. If you don't do that, how do you run your business? So why wouldn't you do the same thing for your spiritual life? At the end of the day, you have to start looking. Okay, did I show up three times a day to pray? Check. Did I turn the phone off when I went to pray? Check. Did I talk while I was in sh? No. You know what I mean? You you you want to work with the system. I told you before, if you have an amazing rabbi that sits on your head 247, you're very lucky. But you don't have that. So, you need to be your own rabbi, your own personal trainer that keeps you in check. And I know what I'm saying might sound to you like nonsense, but it's not at all. I can tell you these are the steps of growing spiritually. And what I tell you, it's not because I read it in some book or heard it on some YouTube video and I'm coming and selling this product to you. I'm telling you because that's what I do. And when I see that it works, then I can come and safely tell you it works. It works when you constantly look at yourself. Most people don't do that. And you don't have to do it in an OCD way, by the way, that all day long you're critic of yourself. No. At the end of the day, sit with yourself 5 minutes, 10 minutes. I make notes of everything. You see, everything I do is notes. I write down. I see what's going on. I write down what did I do? What did I do? So I can apologize right on the spot. That I can correct the situation right on the spot. That if I miss something today, today I was late to the minan. Okay, I ride myself. Today I was late to the minan. Tomorrow come 15 minutes earlier cuz you're going to be late anyways. So at least come 15 minutes earlier. When you're doing that, you are constantly growing, growing, growing. You're going out of your mit. And when you go out of your mit in the small things, you know how to do it with the big things eventually. And if you don't practice that m in the small things, you'll never do it going out of your m and you might seem to you like irrelevant. That's a hashem. That's service of God. Not only praying and eating culture and observing Shabbat and dress modest. These are all great serving Hashemat. My service to Hashem is that I want every day to come to Hashem better, cleaner, more spiritual, more close to Hashem. If you don't have this in your life as your first priority, a it means you're like this all day long cuz you're busy with the next uh episode that comes on your favorite series or whatever nonsense that your mind is being projected all day long from the screens. I also have phones, but I don't touch my phones. Not in the morning and not at night. First two hours of the day, no phone. Why do you need to go to the to the sh with your phone? Or maybe there's going to be an emergency. 30 years ago, nobody had phones and everything worked fine. I grew up without a phone and I came out kind of normal. My wife thinks not. But but but nevertheless, I came out normal without a phone. There's an emergency. I pray over there. Send somebody to knock on the door. Why do you need the phone with you? Because if the phone is there, you're going to look at it. And if you're going to look at it, then you're not praying Moshik like you should. So why you bring the phone? There's no emergencies. And listen, if you are a medic, okay? If you're unemployed, you don't need to take the phone with you. No president is going to call you at 5:00 in the morning asking for your advice. So, first hour of the day, no phone, two hours if you can. Same thing with at night. Why do you need to check your emails at night? I check my emails twice a day. That's it. People get very angry. I sent you an email 22 minutes ago. You didn't answer. I'm so sorry. I was in traffic. I check in the morning and I check in the evening. Nothing is that urgent. And if something is urgent, then people know how to get me. That's it. I don't need to be a slave to anything. Not to a phone, not to a TV series, not to anything. Not to some new product that you're waiting to come, some version that you're waiting 30 days. The point is that if everything that I'm telling you now, you don't apply in your life, I'm going to take you now to the beginning of the lecture and tell you stop complaining. Don't complain. It's almost as equivalent if of the same. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. If you don't know how to stop complaining, then don't do nonsense. It's very simple. And and listen what what I'm telling you, I do it and I don't lack anything in my life. I'm not hooked to any Netflix series because it's only junk. It doesn't enrich my life in any type of a way. And if I need to relax in some way or another, then I have many other ways of relaxing or unwinding. So, if everything that I'm saying doesn't resonate, there's going to be a problem because the point that you want to do is when you go out of this door tonight like that smart girl who's taking notes on the phone, maybe you can share the notes later for $1.99 per line. I'm not joking. You send the notes. But what I'm saying is you want to go out of this room with something tonight, with some souvenir. Why did you come here? You think I came to you with a woman that you're going to marry tonight or a man? You think I have a caravan outside with some men? Hey, ladies, come. Here's first contendant. He's 24 years old, 6'2, 180 lb. Makes 140,000 a year. Sold >> when we sold. Yeah. 180 lb. 62 140 a year. Sold. Of course. Sold. Yeah. But the personality of a of a watermelon See, you were quick to say sold for the 6'2, the 180 and the 140k a year and the Mercedes and the personality of a brought an avocado. So, people thought we wrote about singles. Oh, maybe he's going to come with a catalog here. This is what I have to show you. I have brunettes, blondes. What? What? What's your favorite? I'm not coming here with any shim to you. I'm coming to tell you how to fix your life that you can open up the opportunity not only to find your other half to have a successful peaceful happy life with good parasa with good lumbai with good relationships with your family members with some goals on in line with a lot of hope and lot of aspiration a lot of why wouldn't a person want to live like that that's what I don't understand Most people that I talk to, I see there's like it's like it's like a daily struggle just to get out of the the the the bed in the morning. It shouldn't be like that. And yesterday when I told it to a nice lady, she told me, "Oh, you know, cuz I told her, I don't touch the phone two hours in the day." She was like, "Yeah, but in the morning the I have to call this and I have to this and that." And I told her, "I have the same thing like you. What do you think? I don't have principles. I have seven kids. I have seven principles calling me all day long. And I also, by the way, I also have to pay my mortgage. I asked my bank manager. I told him, you know, I'm Rabbi Nava. Maybe you can wave the mortgage. He said, "No, you have to pay like everybody else." And then, by the way, I have to also have to pay my electricity bill, my water bill, all my bills I have to pay. I'm not different than you. I also have a wife. I also have kids. I also have all sorts of worldly matters to take care of, but I don't see that as a challenge. It's not a challenge. It's not even part of my daily task. My daily task is serving Hashem. Everything else is just Hashem keeping me on my toes. So, I'm no different than you. Don't think that I'm some babasali that I hover over the ground at home. I'm a human as you and probably worse than you. By the way, fact that I'm wearing a suit, you think that I'm No, I don't wear a suit at home. I just wear a suit now. I would look nice to you. You want me to come with a t-shirt? But what I'm saying is I'm no different than you in any way. And I work as hard as I say to my own spiritual growth, but I see results. So I can come and tell you this works. So, you need to go out of this door tonight understanding that you need to split the sea in your life. When something doesn't work in your life and you have a dead end, like I told you before, 50% of it is Hashem telling you, "Move on. Move on. It's not Shia to you. It doesn't even belong to you. Why are you dwelling on that?" Yesterday, I spoke with some young man. I'm going to say the the a little bit what he said for you to to understand and relate. He told me that he went on a date, everything was great. Of course, an older man who's desperately seeking to find his other half. And finally, he met this woman. He said everything was great and they were dating for two months. And finally, when they went to come a little bit closer and more serious, she I don't know, cold feet or whatever it is. And she that's it. She broke up the the the connection, the relationship, and and he's devastated. Finally, I found somebody that I like. And I So he told me, "Should I forget about it? Should I delete the number?" And I was like, "Yes." What didn't you get here? Hashem closed that door a long time ago telling you, "She's not for you." But he couldn't understand. He kept saying, "But we had such chemistry and such this." I said, "Hashem saved you from a horrible divorce. Why are you complaining? So what if she you liked her? You liked her cuz you in your 40s and you sorry to tell you a little bit desperate. So of course you rounded corners. So Hashem had to slam the door in your face to tell you she's not yours. What do you you forcely want to get into a relationship with this woman? Why? to suffer a horrible divorce in a year or two. So I told you that many of the closed opportunities in your life is Hashem telling you in his words, "Move on. It's not yours." And in many of the cases this move on, it's not that it's not yours. It's not the right time. And one on one something is not the right time, don't focus on it. Move on. focus on other things and I wanted to get married and I couldn't find my other half. At some point, you know what I did? I understood it's not time. So, I went to learn in yeshiva very simple cuz I understood now it's not the time to get married. So, it means it's time to get to to get on your and start learning there's a time for everything says King Solomon. There's a time to die, a time to give birth, time for war, time for peace. There's time for everything. When you try to push something way before it's time, it's not going to work well. It's going to be a disaster and you might blow up the only opportunity you have for that specific thing. So to summarize what I told you before, many of the situations that Hashem is hinting to you that it's not your part, it won't work. But a lot of it is your behavior, which means that you need to kind of introspect and see where what am I doing wrong? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. And the rest of the time, like I told you, Hashem is just trying to get your attention. He wants you to be a little bit more active. So when he takes away your lollipop, then you start uh cleaning the room. That's how it is. Like a father that comes home at the after a whole day of work, he just wants some attention from his kids. Imagine the father comes home, he works for 12 hours to support the family. He comes into the house. Hey honey, I'm home. Did you hear that echo? Home. Home. Home. You know where Honey is. So he tells the kids, Abba, dad is home. So one of the kids also is like so Hashem comes and he knocks on your door and you so you know what Hashem does he takes your lollipop away. He takes your toy away so you will start behaving the right way. That's what I do with my kids. They don't listen. They don't comply with the orders. Then I take something that they like away to get their attention. Not because I'm a mean dad. And once I get their attention, suddenly they clean the room. Suddenly they do the homework. Suddenly everything works well. Why? Why? Why did you Why couldn't you do that without the exchange of me taking something? >> But the idea here is the same thing is what Hashem is telling you. You're not going to give me my attention. I will take something for you till you give me the attention that I want you to give me. So going back to what we were saying so we can conclude in the verse in the book of Tim that I told you what is the commentary says that you can break the word and read it as means crying means praising the commentary says if you praise Hashem then everything's great that's when Hashem takes the prisoners out. But if you don't praise, you know what's going to happen? You'll cry. You either praise or you cry. You choose. That's when Hashem takes you out of your misery. Either with praising or either with crying. You choose. And needless to say that what one wants to choose is the praising and the sh. So it says in the midrash in the mahila for the book of chapter 14:e 13 that is exactly the time that the nation of Israel get got out of Egypt and were standing in front of the ocean and the situation was as follows. The nation of Israel is slaves in the in the in the country of Egypt under the rulership of Pero. Comes Mosher Rabenu. A whole year there's negotiation between Mosher Rabenu and Pero. Throughout this year, every month there's one plague. One plague lasts one month. After 12 months of miracles of unbelievable miracles, Moshe takes out 20% of the nation from it. 80% stays in the in Mitim. You know why they stayed there? Because they asked Mosher Rabeno, u is there Wi-Fi in the desert? Mosher Rabenu says, "No, I'm sorry. There's no Wi-Fi. No Wi-Fi. I'm not coming." So 80% stayed in the desert. They didn't believe. They didn't believe. How can you not believe after a whole year? Nevertheless, 80% stays in the desert. 20% go out of Mit with Mosher Rabenu. A week after they go out of Mit because they had to run away and leave, they come to the sea to the opening of the sea. Yamsuf now they have a serious problem. They ran away for a whole week. Po is catching up with the army behind and they're like at the beginning of the sea. What do we do? The Midash says that they got split into four groups. One group said, "That's it. All hope is done. Let's just jump in the water and commit suicide." Second group said, "Oh, no, no, no. Suicide is not an option. Let's just surrender and go back to Egypt." Third group said, "Are you out of your mind? We fight anyways. They're going to kill us, so might as well fight. Let's fight them till the end." And the last group said, "Let's just pray to Hashem. Stand here and pray to Hashem." All four sounds very familiar to you guys, right? The group, of course, they wanted to jump in the water and commit suicide. That's the group that gives up. I'm I'm I'm fed up. I'm I'm I'm done. The group that wanted to go back to Egypt is to surrender to their tavot, to their desires. go back to my my to my mit every day. Wake up in the morning depressed, sad, no inspiration, no sad, no, no life force, nothing. And every day, same thing. The ones who wanted to fight a little bit better. But who are you going to fight? You're going to fight. You think you can fight that? And the fourth group that says we'll pray to Hashem. That's very nice that you want to pray, but not always it's time to pray. So Mosha Rabenu turns to the master of the universe and tells him what should I do? What should I do? Hashem tells Mosha Rabenu, you call all the nation of Israel and tell them stand firm and see the salvation, the miracle that I'm going to do. That is the answer for the ones who wanted to jump in the water and kill themselves. The verse continues verse 13 and it says the ones who wanted to go back to Egypt and give up says oh no no no you're never going to see mit ever again the third group verse 14 the ones who wanted to fight Hashem says Hashem will fight to you and you will stand silent and the ones who just said, "Let's scream to Hashem. Let's just pray." Hashem answers in verse 14 15. Why are you screaming to me? Spoke to speak to the nation of Israel and just go. Now they're looking at each other. Go where? It's water. So Hashem says, "Go in the water." Nobody believed. Nobody had the amuna to go in the water besides one individual Non Ben Amminadav who went into the water. He went into the water and he walks into the water. Water comes to his waist. Then the water comes to his chest. Eventually the water is already here. He's walking. He's Hashem. Don't make me look bad. Finally the water is already here. He's like hashem I can't breathe the interacted says that he said the water came till my till where the soul comes in and out from water will pass it the soul can't go out or in that's it I'm dead and the second that the water reach to that point the sea starts splitting and only then after one person 3 million people believe and they go This is called the test in your how much amuna you have. I can tell you already that most people don't have amuna. It says in a different place in the same thing. Finding your livelihood, making money is as difficult as splitting the sea. And he quotes a verse from Tim verse 135 uh sorry chapter 135. 36 verse 25 not that's where he gives bread to any flesh that's where he explains that the meote the bread you you need to to make money it's even in America that's how they call the one who makes money right bread winner right you but why do our sages compare finding your other half and making money to splitting the sea because it's difficult can you split the sea. No, only Hashem can split the sea. So, we're talking here about a very severe and unique difficulty. It's not a regular difficulty that I have difficulty with that. No, no, no. That's something way beyond what we are familiar with. The difficulty is on the person, not on Hashem. When I told you in the beginning the argument, is it hard for Hashem to do? No, the difficulty is not for Hashem. The difficulty is on the person. And you know why? Because that specific difficulty is what causes you to go out from slavery to freedom. That's this difficulty. And I'm telling you already with no shalom trying to hurt anyone. Most people that I meet are stuck in their mit. I do meet a lot of people that they're like a rising stock. in spirituality of course they're on the right path and they're growing and they're growing and they don't complain much and life is not always is easy and know it doesn't say anywhere that life should be easy when life is easy start worrying life shouldn't be easy life should be hard that's your workout life is your spiritual workout for the world to come so if life is easy something's wrong be very worried if life is easy. If things come too easy for you, be worried. Why is it too easy? I can tell you in my life, nothing comes easy. Everything is with challenges. Every little thing that I have in my life is challenges. Especially when it comes to you would think that when I come on these tours, everything should work out perfectly. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong. Everything. That's my indication that I'm doing the right thing and I'm going to the right place. And the more difficulties I have to reach to a certain city or a certain congregation, the more I know that there's a some at least one soul in the crowd that that's it. That night is going to change their life. When I have serious difficulties, I'm talking about missing flights and many other things. You know, I have stories. I can write three books just of everything. My adventures, Rabbi Nava's adventures on his travels will be a bestseller. It will be in the science fiction section because nobody will believe a human being goes through that. You know many times I miss flights, my luggage went to one city, other luggage went to a different city. Happened to me last year. I land in Los Angeles, no luggage. Of course, I missed the flight, came on a different flight, my kids on a whole mess, no luggage. Part of the luggage went to Atlanta. I don't know what's the connection. and the other luggage. No clothes for Shabbat, no no equipment to suit, nothing. Now do a lecture. A normal individual will be like, I quit. Thank you. When life comes with a lot of difficulties, welcome it because it means you're doing the right thing. Nobody promises you an easy right. The thing is that the difficulty that our sages are talking about in splitting of the sea is the difficulty of you going out of slavery to freedom. And no offense, don't take my word as insulting words ever. Always take my words as constructive criticism and good guidance work. I never heard one nice word from my rabbi towards me. Never you're doing great. Never kakavo nothing. It's always like that's it. You are only this. You couldn't do more. Never have I got a good a good word. But he knows what he's doing because it makes me work harder. I don't need somebody to tell me you're doing great. You don't need anybody to tell you you're doing great. Your difficulties is Hashem telling you you're doing great. That's it. Don't don't look for that uh approval from anyone that you're doing amazing. You're going through difficulties in your life. That's Hashem signing a postcard saying you doing amazing. What do you mean amazing? I'm about to collapse any second. You're doing great. Small breaths. It's almost over. 20 years. Your suffering is over. So again, the difficulties that we need to focus on is the fact that I'm going I need to go out of slavery into freedom. My slavery can be severe addictions and it can be small things that I don't even relate to them as difficulties as mit and many others. You need to do that with yourself that I can't help you. You need to see with yourself what are the little things in life that hold you back. And I'm not stumb saying this all day long because that's what I see people all day long and that takes you away from your focus. Even if you're saying, "No, no, no. I'm just unwinding." In the meantime, your brain is being washed with all the junk that you're watching. And then you dream on the junk that you're watching. And then the next day, you want what you watching. And then you don't understand where all these desires are coming from because all day long you're watching stuff that is junk. Now I know a lot of people tell me but I learned Torah. Don't learn Torah on a phone. Torah you learn from a book. We are called the nation of the book. Can you learn to Shabbat from a phone? No. So why learn all week with a phone? There's no in the phone. In the book when you open it the letters have kusha have holiness. Why you want to learn from a from a phone? So even when you learn Torah, don't learn it from a phone. >> Listen, once in a blue moon comes a very special person that uses the phone for good things. >> No, no, I don't use the phone. I use the phone to No. When I'm talking about when you're learning Torah, some once in a blue moon, there's a person that really uses the phone only to learn Torah. You're not in my example. Okay. I'm looking I'm talking to the rest of the 99.9% of the people in the world. There are some smart people that they learn to run on the phone because they don't have any other option. Good. But that's a unique situation. If we want to embarrass people now, pull up your phones and let's see which apps you have on your phone. That's it. And I'll show you your Instagram and your Tik Tok and your Tik Tok and Tik Tok and all the rest of the junk. And I won't see apps like what you said. That's it. on your phone. Maybe I will see it. Listen, I'm talking here now to thousands of people. I can't, you know, cut the cake exactly the size of the slice you want. You're going to eat the slice that I give you. However, I cut it for you. But pay attention. If you if you listen to the words and they just leave, then you just sat here for nothing. Listen to the words so you can take it out of the room and apply it. And the problem like I told you this concept of or going out of your limitation going out of your limitation is not something you take for granted. It's not something like, oh, what's the big deal? No, no, no, no, no. You're going to have to work very hard for that. You're going to have to earn it. You're going to have to sweat for that. Nobody's going to cater it to you. Nobody's going to give it to you. It's a miracle. When you go out of your mit, it's an actual miracle. It's beyond nature. 22 years ago, I quit all my habits. Drugs, alcohol, smoking, it each thing that I quit was it's a miracle. I didn't see it as anything but a miracle. I thanked Hashem for the miracle that I was able to get rid of this and get rid of that and get rid of all these little habits. And by the way, habits, they grow like mushrooms. You get rid of these habits, these habits come. You want to be in a place that you're not in mitim. The indication to that is how you wake up in the morning. If you wake up in the morning in a very good mood, you're not so much in mit. You're you're in probably halfway out. If you wake up not in a good mood and you wake up tired and upset because of things that happened yesterday and right away you jump out of bed to deal with situations in life, sorry to tell you. Welcome to Mit. I'll issue you a passport, an Egyptian passport. But you have to understand that this doesn't come out, this doesn't come so easy. What I said before, it's all a test of Hashem that he's testing your amuna. That's it. All that I just told you now in the last hour and a half, a test of amuna. Hem is testing your amuna. How much you believe. Are you willing to jump in the water or not? Are you willing to leave mit your place of comfort? The places is familiar to you where your little habits where you comfortable. How much are you willing to suffer? How much are you willing to let go? Now when you do it yourself, Hashem doesn't need to do it for you. You don't do it yourself, Hashem will do it for you. And now of course comes the big question. How do I have amuna? Because most people say amuna means to believe and 7 8 billion people on this world believe in the existence of God. Each one calls him in a different name and some believe in other things that they think it's a god but it's not really a god. But the fact is that most people in this world will tell you, I believe in a higher power, in a creator, in a god, including the Jews. But very few people actually believe in his ability to do things. Yesterday when I was in this Shabbaton for single people there was a group of a few people that I spoke in in between the hours and they were all unfortunately 40s 50s and they all had the same common denominator and I told it to them very simple all of you have in the back of your mind subconsciously you lost hope you don't believe it can happen anymore you're saying to yourself I'm too old it will never it didn't happen till now. So you already subconsciously that's what you're thinking. So by the way that's also the energy you're inviting. Now you might not think that but subconsciously that's what's in your mind because you already feel it's past my time. I'm older I can't find every day I go it doesn't work and that can be also withan and everything else when you convince yourself you already gave up. You are category number one. You gave up a long time. You on the external part you didn't give up. You're trying to do things but it's like you know trying to grasp some error. So you read another 40 tim or you go to another ke and you pray or something but that's trying to grab something. The reality is that you lost already you hope a long long time ago. You gave up a long time ago and some things you're not allowed to give up. Some things you have to you have to hold on to them. Now, how do you reach to a level of amuna that you really believe in the ability of Hashem? Because like I told you, most people believe in his existence but don't believe in his ability. Not visibility, his ability, the ability of Hashem to do whatever he wants. So the Torah comes and tells you many stories. Abrain and Sah had a child when they were 90 and 100. But is coming to tell you, you think Hashem has a problem making a woman pregnant? He'll make a woman pregnant when she's 90. Hashem can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, to whoever he wants, as much as he wants. The question is if you believe that he can do it. And the reality is that I believe and I see that most people don't believe that. And when you don't believe that, then you are already blocking the blessing from Hashem. The blessing would not come. That's it. Very simple. So the million-dollar question is how do you get amuna? How do you build this amuna? There's only one way of doing it. I mean there's many ways of course many little things but ultimately there's one way of doing it and that is called anava. Not me. My name is Alon happened to be my last name is Anava. But you want amuna, you need to have anava. But true anava and anava means humility to be humble. You can be the most successful person in the world. Doesn't mean that you have to be arrogant about it. And very few people unfortunately I can tell you that have true anava true humility. And anava doesn't mean that you degrade yourself. That's not anava. Anavano means that you know exactly who you are, what you are worth, good or bad, and you give all the credit to the master of the universe and you strive to become better. And there are many aspects of anava. But anava means that you you lower yourself in front of others. Doesn't matter who you are. Now when you learn how to apply that a you remember I told you with the couples that the hearts in the back and the confetti and all the if you have ana you'll have that by the way but it has to work with both with both the couple not one. If two of the couple have true anava and they look at each other as you are more important then they'll have the hearts in the background for 40 years also very few people know how to do it and that's in a marriage now take the anava to when you treat your kids most people think that I'm the mature I'm the adult I have to look down at the kid a smart parent looks up at the kids and say they came to educate me. I'm here just to buy them food and clothes and take them to shul and register in them yes in yeshiva but how they behave and what they do it's to educate me that's a smart individual that's a smart father or smart mother that they learn from the kids they don't get angry at the kids they take a lot of m and a lot of information from the kids that's anava that you look at somebody that on the surface is less than you, less smarter, less successful, less money, less everything. And you in your eyes you say, "No, that person has something more than me." And now, not that I'm some angel or something, but my approach when I meet every person is that I look at every person and I say that person has something that I don't have. And by the way, no, not that I'm saying anything in an arrogant way. I know what I'm worth. I know who I am. I know what my abilities are. I know what I know what I can do. So, it's very easy for me to come and be arrogant in many different things. To look at another person say, "Oh, I know more to than you. I have more money than you." So, what if you have that? How I look at people is that every individual has something better than me. That's it. I might be good in these things but you have a quality that I don't have and you have a quality that I know I will never have and you have a talent that I will never reach to that level and therefore I respect that individual and I'm receptive to what can you teach me and I learned that from King David from David who says I have learned from every person every teacher I've learned something that's the beginning You're starting to scrape Anava that you don't look at other people as you better than them. You're much more successful. Look at Mosher Rabenu has all the credentials to mock and to look down at anyone. And his approach was, of course, I'm successful. I know a Mosher Rabenu, but if the job would be given to you, it would be done better. And don't you think Mosher Rabenu looked in the mirror, he knew who he was? Butisha Mik he was the most humble person in the world. That's why he's also called Rabeno. All our great sages get a title. Jacob Aino Aon Hanavi David Hame. All the great sages and great leaders got a title. Only one got the title Rabenu Moshe. I'm not talking now that I walk in the street and people like Rabenu. No, no, that's not Rabenu. Only Mosha Rabenu got the title Rabenu which means our teacher. Technically to be exact, Mosha Rabenu should have been called Moshe. It says in the Torah, there will never be a prophet like Mosha Rabenu. In prophecy, Moshe Rabenu will be greater than Mashiach in prophecy. In wisdom, Mashiach is greater than Moshe. But in prophecy, Israel, which means that Moshabenu in levels of prophecy higher than Mashiach. So why don't we call him Moshe or you know Mosha Rabenu was our king. Why don't we call him Mosha Melik or any other title? We call him Mosher Rabenu. And not because he brought us the Torah because he's teaching us the quality that I need to have to fly in an altitude that you're not realizing that you can fly. And that quality is called ana. That's what Mosher Rabenu is teaching us. And when you have an Nava, that's when you start ascending to the levels that you are not familiar with. I told you that many times and I will elaborate that in length in our roles lecture and in the entire month of whatever we're going to learn. I'm going to talk about it a lot. But I said that many times that when I became observant my friend brought me a very special gift. He brought me in a nice leather case the letter of the eeran. Best advice you have, you want to have a good successful life, go and get the and read it every day. For the first two years of my ja, I would read it and memorize it every day. I would say it off by heart and then started applying. And one of the ma so many gems in there. One of them sells a very simple thing. Humble yourself and the place means hashem will start raising you higher. The more you humble yourself, the more hashem makes you great. That's how it works. And that's one of the first things that that ever I learned in the world of the Torah. Every word of advice there is worth eternity. >> Everybody. >> Everybody. Hashem is the God for all the world. >> I'm talking to humble yourself. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Ah to humble you in front of the nations. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You want humble yourself in front of everyone. I'm not talking about wicked people, you know, the the the enemies of Israel. I'm not talking about these individuals and definitely not and so forth. I'm talking about normal people. Yeah, you humble yourself in front of anyone and especially in front of the nations because then you also grab there the kushem here. I'm, you know, I'm enjoying the last month that I'm here because I don't have it in Israel. Here I can do kushem on the nations and trust me that's something that you want to grab as much as you can and you want to do it a lot because many Jews do they desecrate the name of hashem because they behave in a certain way and of course what is the reaction the Jew look at the Jew you know I'm going to tell you a story that happened to me geographically very close to where I am right now about I don't know 15 years ago and I was very angry when I saw that in a very very uh Orthodox community close by. I was once walking in one of the streets and one of the store owners was mopping the floor and when the water was all the way out to the door, he was he went like this and he spritzed it all over some guy and the guy was like, "What are you doing?" And I'm standing there. The one who splashed the water Jew. The one who got the water splashed on a gentile. When the person told him, "What are you doing?" You instead of saying, "I'm sorry." Or, "Oo, I didn't notice. I'm so sorry." Even if you're not sorry, pretend you're sorry. He didn't even say anything. He He went like this. And then when I intervene, you know what he answered me? It's a I ran out to this guy, the the gentile, and I begged for his apology. I told him, "Please, please forgive this man. And please don't think that I look like him, that I'm like him. Don't tag now all the Jews as this poor individual that doesn't have the basic manners. You know what he did? The even if you hate the person say you need now this guy going now and you want to humble yourself in front of everyone. It's not just oh I'm going to humble myself in front of the giant rabbi that I'm standing in front of. Now that's easy to humble yourself in front of a great individual. Stand now in front of a big president, a king, a very famous individual, a scholar. Of course, you'll humble yourself. Let's see you humbling yourself in front somebody who's 10 times less than you. Let's now see how you humble yourself or in any situation. Listen, in all situations, you need to have an I can tell you after 22 years of trying to become close to Hashem, the only key that opens the door of coming closer to Hashem is when you humble yourself. That's it. And not for nothing, Moshe Rabenu is our leader and our teacher. He knew how. He figured it out. He figured it out how to do it. That he reached to a point that he spoke to Hashem face to face. Now you won't reach to that level but you want to reach to some level that you are humble in front of God in a way that Hashem raises you to a level that you don't even know that you can reach yourself. So we want to conclude and I want you to leave the door tonight or whoever's on the screen. You don't have to leave your door, but uh I mean you can leave the room and then come back, but with their phone. Smart people take good advice and apply it and into actions. Our sages say the action is what counts. To nod and nod and nod. I said that not once and not twice. 20 years ago, I had a dog, a little Chihuahua. I had him on the dashboard of my car and every time that I stopped, he nodded. Don't nod. You'll get a neckache or you're going to look like a Chihuahua. Don't nod. Just do. That's what I was taught when I was 15 years old. My father told me don't don't talk don't do what to do just do. So when you go out of this door tonight you have a few options. Option number one is to go in the same way you came in. And I'm already telling you that you have a friend waiting outside. His name is Amalecch. He's going to grab you by your neck, take you very quickly to your phone, and now you forgot everything that we talked about. And right away, of course, he's going to give you a few text messages with some issues. This guy, you owe him money. This didn't work. That didn't work. Before you know it, you're already in the in the in the how do you call the the mar the no the willpull of your problems and your what did Rabbi Nava say? Because a Malik grabs you on the outside and he cools you down. That's his quality. He grabs you when you walking. Means when you go out, when on your journey here you're safe. Out there is the journey. Once you go to the journey, he starts cooling you down. Takes the air out like a like a air mattress. By the time you get home, you're like this. I need to watch some Instagram dead flex and in five hours I go to sleep instead of going to sleep and waking up at 5 in the morning to wake up and say pray shakar. So be careful for malik because if you're not going to do any actions he's waiting outside and he's ruthless. Option number two, which is the option you need to choose, is to walk out of this door with your switch in your mind already what you are going to apply in your life tomorrow and better tonight. And don't waste your time. We're going to finish in a few minutes. We're going to go to the end of the room and pray. I'm expecting to see all of you praying. You too, we'll put a mita If you don't do that, you rush outside because in 11:00 starts the fight on UFC that you don't want to miss. Ah, look how I got you all to laugh. I've been to Vegas last week. I saw the UFC. So, you have there's excuses for everything. You can stay here in prayer, eat with me, or run outside because you have some nonsense to do at 11:00. You want to gain something out of your time here, then you have to walk out with something. And that something is understanding that you are stuck in mitime. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean, there is, but don't don't take it as an attack. Take it as oh my gosh, I am how do I get out of this situation? And you start developing your system. How you getting out of this situation? And I told you the lecture is recorded. Go and watch it on YouTube. Rewind it 700 times. Write your notes cuz there's only two ladies smart that writing notes here. And I'm not too sure if she's going to share her notes or if you understand her handwriting. Somebody once gave me notes from a lecture. The whole the whole lecture. He told me I wrote notes. I looked at the paper. I'm like that's English. So I normally don't advise to take notes. listen, then watch the rerun and then take notes. But I covered everything that you need to know. Everything that you need to know to go out of this room and to apply a huge change in your life because nobody will do it for you and nothing will do it for you. And if you don't do it, Hashem will bend your arm and make you do it in not a comfortable way. And then you're going to start going through all the challenges and the difficulties and shalom can find the right person or living in the same house with one person that drives you nuts. He's not driving you nuts. You are the problem. And I'm talking maybe I looked at you. It's both ways. When I have an argument with my wife, I don't blame her for anything. I look at the mirror and I say I am the problem. Where did I fail? That she had to react. >> Listen, I also tell my wife, you honey, you're right. Women are always right. And then when you meet the men in the bar, she's not that right. But it's very it's very classy. Women are always right. Yeah. Honey, you're always right when I'm not in the room. So In every argument there are two people who are right. That's how it works. It doesn't work that in an argument one is right and the other one is wrong and both are right. That's why there's an argument. If one would be right and the other won't, there wouldn't be an argument. But with all jokes aside, this is all the same thing. This is all boils down to the same thing. And the title of it is anava. That's it. And that's what I found. If you ask Rabbi, he tells you, okay, he says, "All my life I've grew amongst the sages, but the real sages, not the" And he says, "And I haven't found anything better to the body but silence." Means silence that don't talk. He's right. I I agree with that. In every situation that I have, I choose to be quiet. When you open your mouth, first you show you show the world how stupid you are. And then your mouth will get you in trouble. If you know how to guard your mouth, your lips and your tongue, you guard yourself from all your problems. Try one month not to talk. I guarantee to you life will start blooming. When I became observant for like three years, I would do physical fasts every Monday and Thursday and all the time. I would go sometimes a whole month without talking. The best thing you can do to yourself and that's the best thing you can do especially in a marriage. You're right. Good night. So I'm telling you not like says that I I found good for I'm telling you what I found the best for you to to to grow is just humble yourself in every situation adults co-workers friends neighbors go everyone I humble myself in every situation and by the way it doesn't make the means that you that you uh getting the short end of the And there are situations, by the way, I'm saying that as a disclaimer in parenthesis. There are situations that you don't you need to be very firm. Not in every situations you have to bow down. In some of the situations, you have to be the tough one with humility. I don't lose my status because I I humiliate myself. Not humiliate. I'm I humble myself. You'll never lose from being humble. That is the key for all the success you're looking for and for the amuna that I'm telling you because we're now focusing how to find your other half, how to have a good marriage and how to bring parnas into your life. Everybody's struggling with parasa by the way. Everybody's pretending to have parnasa but everybody's struggling at the end of the day. I was not long ago in some community if you would look at the cars there. They brought me straight to my all the cars are beautiful. And I sat there in a room. I told my son, "Look at all the the people in this room. The jewelry in this room is about $50 million. Every woman was like diamonds from top to bottom. And the men watches that you can buy seven cars with them. Not saying it in a not nice way, but everything was fake." Five minutes later, every everybody comes to me and whispers to me, "My house is in foreclosure. My business is I don't bankruptcy. I don't have money. It's all loans, credit cards. And so why are you driving this car? And you're dressed like a millionaire because everybody in the neighborhood is dressed like that. And the joke is that everybody's the same thing. So humility anava always will make you successful in everything that you need to do. That is the key. And when you are really really humble, that's when you gain the real amuna. How does it work? That that doesn't matter right now. Trust me. And I'm not inventing anything. It's my experience plus many many teachings of books. When you humble yourself, it will strengthen your amuna. There are many little things that you can do to strengthen your amuna. One of them is saying birkaton every day. Not on Friday. You're doing a favor to the world. Every day you have to say birkaton because you eat every day. Some people how they look, they eat all day. Every day you have to say birkaton because you eat every day. And the commandment is you ate, you you satisfied, you full then say the blessing. So who are you lying to? People drive half an hour to buy the the mason pizza shalom should not sit for 10 minutes and say biron every day you have to say birkaton and that will bring you a lot of by the way that's what au did aino used to bring people into his tent give them food to bring them closer to hem and then he would tell them say and if the person would refuse and he would give him a $20,000 bill and if he didn't want to pay he would call his friend the leazer that's it and then the person would say and why would a rau did that because that what brings you so there are many little things that you can do if you're already seeking for amuna says smelling a scent of spices like we do shabbat but do it all the time deep breaths of real spices not some Gucci uh H perfume chemicals you need real spices but the real amuna when you want to have such amuna belief that you are willing to go through the water and you know the water will open it's when you humble yourself knowing that and ovon and you don't want to don't only want to humble yourself only in front of Hashem in front of other people that's when you hit the jackpot when you know how to be humble in front of another person and especially the ones who mock you or slander you or talk against you or make fun of you or they kind of ride on you or whatever they doesn't matter if we go back to the letter of the always talk in low tone don't raise your voice you raise your voice you you already start losing already read the read tonight the letter of Nakmanades you'll be very happy and if you apply it every day you'll be a very successful individual so I want to conclude I wanted it to be a short lecture but end up being a long one I guess there's a lot more what to say now is all up to you how you walk through that door I'm going to walk through that door not the same way how I walked into the door even though I you know that when I teach I listen to myself. Have you noticed that? I do. So I also listen to what I say because sometimes I learn something I teach it. By the way, when I talk that's Hashem talking. It's not I talk. I come here and I put on autopilot and I say quietly and let Hashem talk. So you can learn from that that Hashem has a good sense of humor. But I I I don't talk. I let Hashem talk. So I go out of the door like how I'm asking you to go out of the door. I'm already like, "Okay, who do I need to apologize today? Who do I owe money? What did I didn't do today? What am I doing tomorrow that will make today look like a joke? And when you do that every day, you can only be on a path of success. And when you have true amuna, you understand that you don't deserve everything that you want exactly in the time you want it. Sometimes you have to be patient. In many of the cases, you have to be patient. Hashem taught me in the most horrible ways patience because once I was the complete opposite of patience. I was impulsive. I want something, it's now. And if I don't get it, the whole world will suffer. But Hashem took me on a ride and taught me patience. Two years I was in jail. Four cement walls. Every minute is like 500 hours. You learn patience. You learn a lot of patience. When the day 24 hours is like more like 5,000 hours and you talk to walls, you start working on the muscle of patience. My late grandmother used to say, "All good things come to those who wait." When I was a kid, I thought it was some joke. Later on, I figured out you're right. You wait for something to come to the right time, it will come the right way. And what the question is what do you do when you wait? You are now all waiting to meet your wife, right? Or your husband and not all of you. I know a lot of you are married here and you just want your husband to be normal. But uh or you want your wife to stop bothering you but for the ones that's the same thing by the way. But when you wait for something, you know, I lived in this dirty city for 15 years. I don't know how you live here. I I don't know how I survived New York for 15 years. Dirty city. That's all I have to say. Whatever. So, one h thing that I picked up from New York and that's a good example from me of how you humble yourself in every situation. Even in a situation, humble yourself in front of a city. And like I said before, David says, I've learned from all my teachers. So I've learned also from teach from from New York. And I learned patience. You know why? Because I used to travel the subways here. And I used to hate the people who went to the platform at the end and they go like this. What are you looking for besides rats? What do you think is going to happen if you put your head like this? You really think the train will come faster? Or if you see the light very far away, that gives you some type of confidence that the train is coming. You're not just standing on the platform like a fool with another 400 people. Why are you looking into the tunnel, sit on the bench, read your newspaper or don't like this? Well, 20 years ago, it wasn't like this. So there was a newspaper and it says on the board that the train is coming at 4:32. Sit and relax and be efficient and do good normal things and the train will come when it's scheduled to come. You think you can bring the train faster and if hypothetically if you would bring it faster, don't you think that will take the train much harder to stop? Let the train come naturally at the time it needs to come. Now the question is what do you do with your free time? You have to utilize it the right way. If Hashem gave you free time because if you're single right now, you don't have to take care of a spouse or deal with the fighting all day long or take care of kids or whatever it is. So use it. Use that time. And it's not only by the way when you don't have a wife or a husband. Every time Hashem is not giving you something, he's telling you in other words, I want you to use that time for something important. Go and learn. Go educate yourself. Go help other people. Work on yourself. Don't go like this. You're wasting your time. Every day is so precious. What are you going to do with all these days that are lost eventually? Now anyways, the time is going the speed of light. spoke about it already in many of the lectures last few months. You notice we just did Abdalah yesterday. Before you're going to blink, it's Thursday again. Everybody feels that it's towards the end. We're at the end of the road. That's it. Now the time. My understanding is very clear. Look at a sand clock. In the beginning, when the sand is full and the sand is going down, you don't see much of a notice cuz it's very wide. But when the sand is at the end at the end of the sand clock, that's when you see it going down because it's very narrow. So we're now at the end at the end at the end. So we see the time going fast. You're not the only one who feels that the week goes like that. And the same ch that you need to do in kachamita. You need to do it on Friday. And on Friday when you look back, you're like, where did the week go? How can it be that I I still smell the chunt the the the the the the pot the crockpot stinks yet I have to now clean it cuz it's against shabis. So since I'm telling you not to waste time, I'm going to shut up. I want to wish you a lot of success when you leave this door or when you turn the thing down because you need a lot of sayata. You need a lot of help from above. Nothing moves in this world without Hashem helping. And if you don't have say which means help from above, help from Hashem, nothing will happen. You know I mentioned before the let me tell you a quick story and then we end maybe. So once there is a custom uh mainly is far do it in havdalah that there's a certain pute that one reads and some congregations they have the custom to actually sing it and the pute says that we asking hashem to on shabbat to open all sorts of gates the gates of wisdom the gates of health gates of Torah gates of parasa everything so theto used to had a custom to sing that and one Abdalah he sat with his students and he asked all his students what do you think is the most important gate that needs to be opened. So the first student says your livelihood no money you can't do nothing. So he says you're right it's a very important gate but not the most important. So the next student says health without health you can't do nothing. You're sick in bed you can't even go and work you can't pray. You can't do nothing. He said, "Yeah, you're right. Very important gate, but not the right one." And every student said a different gate. Fear of God, whatever. Health, all all true. At the end, after the Balto said to all of them, you're you're not on the right answer. Then his daughter said, I have a I have an opinion. I have something to say. And she said the gates of say the gates of help of from shamine. And he says you're right. That's the most important gate because if you don't have help from hem nothing will happen. You can do whatever you want. You need the help of the master. And in order to have his assistance then you need to be parallel with what he wants you to do with no questions. And that's where you apply the nava in front of Hashem that you don't ask questions. You do you accept what Hashem gives you with love. You accept what Hashem brought to you with a lot of appreciation. As the midrash says, you either praise or you cry. You decide. You're either going to cry at all day long or books of full of tears or wherever you want to cry. Go ahead. cry. You know that's very powerful. When a broken heart cries then you can break the heavens. You choose to cry. Cry. I choose to praise. I choose to praise Hashem. And you know when you praise Hashem for the bad. Not when you have everything good. When you have everything good, that's not even a question that you have to praise and thank and appreciate. But you want to praise Hashem when things are bad. Instead of now praying to Hashem every day, I want to meet my other half. You have to reverse it by saying, "Thank you, Hashem, that I am still single and I can focus on my spiritual growth and thank you for giving me another perfect day in my life." Change what you're asking for. Instead of complaining, praise Hashem. Thank Hashem. Appreciate for everything that he does to you. Can you imagine how you break his heart when you complain? Know that not too long ago, I bought a present to my son. He He didn't like it. He like kind of like threw it. No. No. I didn't I don't want this one. I It broke my heart. I was like, "What? I went out of my way to get you this present." And you're just I didn't want I didn't that's not the one I wanted. You spoiled brat. Give me this back now. You're gonna get nothing. But I felt the pain how Hashem feels when he gives you something and you throw it. Don't ever do stuff like that. All by the way, it's all under the umbrella of Anava. We seem to be very bitter when we don't get what we want. When I don't get what I want and things don't work my way, not coming to MIA today. If you're laughing, you agree with me or you're just laughing from my nonsense. But the fact this is that that's how the world works. You get disappointed, you're like a little kid. Take your yam off. So don't be a little kid. Appreciate everything that Hashem does for you. And you know what? and you start applying a lot of appreciation even for the stuff that you're not happy about and the bitter things in your life. Now, you don't don't be fake. Please don't say like, "Dang, I'm so I'm so happy." No, no, no. It has to be genuine. I know you like my show. It has to be genuine. Thank Hashem BT. I I know I hate this situation, but I know it's good for me. Thank you, Hashem. And not fake. Like that song, thank you Hashem. Everybody say thank you Hashem, but they're not thanking nothing. They know how to play the song, but not to thank Hashem Bit. Okay, I really think I said one word too much. So again, I want to wish you when you walk out from this door that you're going to somehow sneak up behind a Malik that he's waiting. I saw his car outside. You saw that black Mercedes? That's a Malik. Avoid him somehow. go back from from the back door. But take with you good decisions that you have power to fight with your next desire and your next interaction with your yet which will come and tell you how miserable you are and how sad you are and how you mis your misfortune and look at her, she has a better marriage and look at him, he has a nicer wife and look at this and look at that. It's all the nonsense in your mind. It's all the junk in your mind that is trying to tell you how everybody else life is much better and you miserable and you this and you that you do that don't don't expect anything good change your mind your your your outlook completely completely you walk out of this door you start thanking for Hashem for everything you don't pray for every little problem that you have you praise Hashem in the Shabbaton I told people I mean was the Shabbaton was for singles and I kept telling people, "Stop whining to Hashem. Hashem doesn't like whining." And people didn't seem to relate with that. What do you mean? Everybody says, "You have to pray. Don't give up." Yesterday was 550 prayers. Moshe didn't give up. You're telling us to give up. I said I didn't tell you to give up. I told you to stop whining. There's a big difference between praying and whining. And you whine. I have a kid like that. Whines all the time. Shut up. >> That's sometimes what the kid needs to hear. >> The what? >> Yeah. I don't know what that means, but it sounds fancy. Later on explain to I didn't understand the but doesn't matter. I I'm I'm going back to screaming at the kid. There's nothing wrong with putting the kid in the spot. Shut up. Sometimes I I wish I could do it to other mothers. I see some mothers with some kids. I'm like, "Do you want to hire me for 2 minutes? I'll make your kid like this." I walk home, my kids are like sometimes the kid needs to hear, "Shut up. Stop whining. I heard the first time." Don't you think that sometimes you're whining to Hashem and he feels like telling you, "Shut up." So there's nothing wrong with praying, but not complaining and whining. You want to pray to Hashem. And when somebody argued with me what I said, I said, "What don't you understand? I'm telling you to pray. Do you pray?" No. Do you pray? No. Do you pray? No. What do you pray? You just say, "I need money." That's not a prayer. Pray from the book. Do you pray? I don't think all of you pray. And if you do, then it's with the phone or with something else. Cherish the hour a day that you have with Hashem. It's private time with you and Hashem. People run away from that. That's the prayer you want to do because that's the that's the praises that you're praising Hashem. Don't you think Hashem knows you're single? He has access to social security. He knows exactly your marital status. And he by know he has access to your bank account. He knows he knows that's money you don't have. You ever heard the prayers of the great moshenu prayed for his sister? That's it. I wish for you and I pray for you and I bless you. That when you leave the door tonight that you leave like a storm that you take everything that I said here tonight and you saying I'm applying now everything I guarantee to you if you want I will sign to you tonight that if you do everything that I told you you will invite me to your wedding this year. Ah, >> I didn't say the dafa the Jewish year. Maybe it's the Gorgian year. Doesn't matter. It's the fact. It's the fact is that if you actually follow what you need to do in the right way, you will see great success in your life. And you know what? Even if you didn't get married this year, then Hashem doesn't want you married this year. He wants you to take the time to grow spiritually and to go and learn Torah or to help other people or to finish your your degree or whatever you need to do to focus on what you need to focus on without the whining and the complaining. So I want to wish you great success that you are will be able to apply everything that I said to reach a true high level of anava that you can see the greatness of hashem in everything and with that you'll gain true true happiness and true peace in your heart you'll have the tools how to deal with situations what I told you now right now is not how to solve problems is how to build yourself a strong foundation that later on in future classes you can maybe start realizing what do I need to do now you need to work on yourself if you have schlite issues the the wife is not the problem if you have pranasa issue is not your luck or the market when I have issues I look only at myself that's it whatever is wrong in my life I look only at myself I never blame any other person for my misery for my misfortune for my suffering I only look at myself what did I do and where can I get much better? That's it. And therefore, every day you grow and you grow another level and another level and by that you reach to true blessings in your life. And if something needs to be lacking from your life, that's the shem's decision that he puts you on some type of spiritual diet. Accept it. Don't be upset. Don't whine. Don't complain. Thank Hashem. Make yourself a habit that you thank Hashem for the good for the bad things that happened in your life and you'll see that slowly slowly he will start giving you more and more and more and more. So to conclude and I want to wish you again when you leave this room that Hashem should bless you with true peace in your heart and true happiness and I wish you all now please I have a actually a personal request I have a very early flight tomorrow morning when I'm done with I got to run. Don't wait for me in the street to start asking me a million questions. And definitely not that two second question that I I one it's too too We're going to finish very soon. Then we're going to pray a bit and then I humbly ask you to let me go. I have to wake up tomorrow. I probably not going to go to sleep tonight, but I have to catch a very early flight. And please don't make me miss my flight. Last time people ask me questions in the street and I miss my flights. That's how it works. And then I get an angry angry wife. It's 4:00 in the morning. Where are you? So I do want to wish you great success in everything that you do. Hashem should bless you with everything that your heart desires in that Hashem should bless you in the best way possible. And I wish for you all to find your true zeug. I wish you all to find your true zeug. Your true other half. Don't get up. We're not done. Wait, hold on. Wait. We're not done. [Applause] >> I guess you didn't hear the we're not done part. >> Okay. I guess I guess you >> sit down. We're not done. First of all, just quickly, there's a lady Judy W A Gh. I know you want to give a lot of donations to my organization, but you forgot the credit card here. >> No, Judy. Okay, we'll keep the credit card aside. Listen, before we finish, first of all, for the men, we're going to pray now. Don't start the I have a few announcements. In two weeks, there's going to be a very special event for Roshul in Florida. You might not be there in Miami, but it's going to be broadcast live and you can see it. and you want to listen, you want to follow. It's going to follow after it with a series of a lot of uh small lectures similar to what we did in the Luluva boot camp a few years ago and it's going to be very powerful and I highly recommend for you to uh follow. Another thing is on your way out, I have something that I brought here from Israel that you should all if you haven't gotten it already and which has to do with everything we talked about. I'm going to tell you in two minutes a story and I told you that story already a long time ago that many many years ago I started doing my own wine for myself and the reason why I did the wine is for kash reasons and I also had a bold idea that when Mashiach is going to come if they're not going to have good wine or wine at all then I have 10 barrels buried somewhere in Israel with wine waiting for Mashiach to [Music] A year and a half ago after the war started with n with October 7, 5 days after that, it was time for me to prune my uh my vineyard which is about 50 mters from the border of Lebanon started shooting at us, shooting like real shooting, RPGs, everything. Huge miracle came. a tan Israeli tank came started bombing back. It was a scene and a half but the result was that I was expecting about two or three tons of grapes and we got close to 20 tons of grapes. So at the time I went to my rabbi and I told him I have a lot of extra wine. I want to give it to your you have a lot of ord I want let's give the wine. And at the time he says, "No, no, no." He says, "Bottle it. Put it in a bottle. Nice. Label it and I will give a blessing to it and you can sell it." Which and in the beginning I didn't understand why what what is he referring to. But because of the war, I lived next to the border. A year and four months because of the war in the north, my entire center in the north was shut down. I mean, there was classes going on there. All the place was filled with soldiers and families that they were were pushed out of their houses. But that's what's brings 80% of the budget of my organization that center and it didn't bring nothing. And if I wouldn't package the wine and sell it, I would be financially or my organization would be in a very big problem. And only after I understood the of my that said do that. But that's not what I want to tell you. When I came to him, then I told him, "How should we call the wine?" Then he told the Anava, there's no other word name to call it. Okay. When I asked him, okay, how much should it be sold? So he told me, the minan of how much is 131. When we recorded him blessing the wine, his blessing was that whoever drinks from the wine will gain true anava. Maybe that's why I have a lot of I drink the wine all day long. With all jokes aside, I have a very limited amount of bottles both in Israel. I have very li I have here very limited amount that that are left just that you would see it cuz I want the people online to see it too because you can get it online. You can get it here but you can get it online too. You see this is the wine you can see here. Beautiful. Amazing. This is this is the true real wine because it's the wine that has no sulfites in it. But not the ones that just write no sulfites. Most of the r wines that write no sulfites they're right. There's no sulfites. But there's 100 other things that that are preservatives. This is totally natural. No preservatives, no sulfites, organic, made by me. But why am I telling you that? First, did you know that when you purchase any of our wines, you support my organization? But specifically tonight, what I wanted to say is when I went went to my rabbi and I told him, what should I tell people who are looking to find parnas and to find their other half and to have schlumbai? He told me the same thing. And he doesn't talk much. He's not a rabbi that has a conversation, by the way. And if you don't know who it is I'm talking about is from he told me and he said in a joke let your let your your students drink from the wine they'll get ana. So I'm not said telling you that as a hoax. I'm telling you that's what the blessing from the ravku from is one of the top rabbis in the world right now. If not one of the whatever I'm not going to say too much. So you have the opportunity have a very limited amount or if you're online you can order it online. We can ship it to you only in America. It's that we can't ship it anywhere else. But just that you know, not only that you gain the blessing from the RAV, you also support and help our organization, which is what we need. I'm two months on the tour. People think that the, you know, the is paying for the tour. Well, just the airlines and the car rentals and all that. Thousands and thousands of dollars.
