Today, since we had such a long break,
we're just going to do
a very quick reminder and overview of
the two books
that next class we can go back to where
we took off.
Because in both of them we've been
learning already for quite a while. In
Shaar in the Gate of Incarnation, I
think we have about 100 classes already.
So, we're already in chapter seven.
And in Gate in Tomer Devorah, in chapter
six. We're starting chapter six.
Uh
First of all, hi. It's good to see you.
Wasn't here for a while after such a
long break.
Hopefully from now,
the only trips
predicted so far is in in the winter.
So, hopefully we'll have a few good
months of learning. Bezrat Hashem.
So, without further ado,
when I became observant 20 plus years
ago,
then
obviously I understood that I need to
wear a yarmulke
and to put a tzitzit on and that there's
going to be a lot of rules.
I didn't like the rules.
Especially coming from a secular place,
the rules didn't
didn't welcome me.
And the the biggest
uh I would say
block or obstacle in coming closer to
Hashem was knowing that I'm going to be
under a set of rules.
Which I'm talking about the mitzvot, of
course.
And
I didn't like it.
It was very hard for me to Okay, now I
have to
follow all these rules.
The reason why I didn't like it because
I thought being an observant individual
or call it religious, chareidi,
Orthodox, can call it however you want.
All fake names. You either believe in
Hashem and you're observant or you're
not. That's it.
Coming with all sorts of titles. I'm
chareidi, I'm chassidic.
You're an idiot. That's what you are.
You have to be a God-fearing individual
and fear Hashem and serve serving how
the Torah tells you. With no titles.
But nevertheless, what
caused for me a block in my
in my brain, in my my mind,
is I don't want to be under this
regime of rules. I don't care who gave
the rules.
And that was my attitude, of course. And
it's usually for everybody. Nobody likes
rules.
Everybody likes their own rules, but not
to listen to other people's rules. My
rules are fine. Your rules I don't like.
So,
it caused some type of
anti
because
I was like
So what? This is serving God? Just being
a robot?
Do this, do this, do this, don't do
that, do this, do this. I was like,
okay, so what? That's the game? I'm
going to have to be a robot for the rest
of my life?
Thank God that very quickly after
I understood that being observant,
man or woman, it's irrelevant,
it's not about you following the rules.
The rules are the guidelines where you
want to how far you can
go left and right, what we call in
Hebrew a zigzag. You know, how much can
you How much leeway do you have on the
sides?
You know what I mean?
You know that I
I was about to say hypothetically,
practically,
take now
paint, it doesn't matter what. Paint a
long line from here to there on the
floor. With paint, with duct tape, it
doesn't matter what.
And then start walking on the line.
You would walk with no problem on the
line, right? Leg after leg after leg
after leg, right? Not not not to walk
walking on the line.
But leg after leg after You would walk
through the line, right?
You won't want to walk through the line
unless you're very drunk.
Can you walk on the 40th floor of a
building on an edge the same width of
the line you just walked here?
You'll fall 3 seconds.
But why? It's the same same line I'm
walking.
Same width of what I'm standing on. My
leg here stands on it. Over there it
stands, too. So what if the ledge is 5
in?
But when you're up there, there's no
ground.
There's nothing underneath you.
You have to be so focused
on walking on the line
in and and by how? Ignoring that there's
no ground under you. The second that you
walk and you see no ground, you lose
your balance. I'm not doing.
So how can you walk on a long piece of
line here on the floor stable, focused,
and not fall?
Because you know something is supporting
you.
Psychologically.
You know, I'm I'm not going to fall.
What I'm going to fall from here to
here?
But realistically, when you're up high
on the 40th floor, 50th floor, whatever,
what's the difference?
Maybe a little bit of wind up there that
maybe shake you. But other than that,
whatever you're able to do on solid
ground, you can do on a less thick ledge
on a 40th floor building like the crazy
people do. You see these videos on
Instagram and and all the social media
with some wacko climbing an antenna 500
m from the ground and there
But the reality, when you understand
that something is holding you from
beneath,
then you will never fall.
It's very simple.
It's all how you perceive it.
There's a famous chassid
uh
I don't know why the name ran away from
my mind right now, but it's irrelevant.
The story is that he lived in Russia and
Ukraine and he would go every morning to
the mikveh 3 hours.
1 and 1/2 hour to the mikveh, 1 and 1/2
hour back, and it wasn't a mikveh like
nice here with showers and heated water.
It was walking in the snow
for an hour and a half, going up a
mountain, and then going down a mountain
to go into a hole in the ground. It
wasn't like a a nice beautiful mikveh.
The wonder was, besides the fact that
how does an old man walk 3 hours every
day in the snow,
but how does he mainly go up on the
mountain?
But how when he goes down on the
mountain, he doesn't fall?
Old man, ice, snow, how do you don't
fall?
When he was asked,
how how come you
Forget about why.
Forget about
How? HOW YOU DON'T FALL?
So he answered, when you are attached up
there,
then you won't never fall down here.
If you're not attached up there, you
will fall down here.
It's very simple.
So first of all, to put one thing aside,
how you operate, not only with serving
God, in general, is how you perceive
things in your mind.
Most people, like I told you, walking on
a ledge on a high building will fall
because they don't see the ground.
Here you see the ground.
So I'm balanced.
Do you see Hashem?
But you believe he's holding you, right?
You don't see him.
So when you don't see him, then you
probably you're going to probably going
to fall.
Like walking up there on that small
ledge.
But when you clearly see that Hashem is
underneath you,
then you'll never fall. You'll walk on
that line with no problem. And try that.
Well, don't try walking on the building.
But
go down to the to the bottom of what I'm
trying to say.
Make a imaginary Put a line here on the
floor. Each and every one of you. One
step after the other, you will walk with
closed eyes like that. Like a drug like
a alcohol test.
But you know, don't even go to a
40-floor building. Go to 3 ft ledge
some fence. Let's see you're running on
it. You'll fall very quickly.
Because your perception is that I'm
running on something narrow.
The right way is to look forward and to
say I'm running on solid ground. And
then you run fast on a ledge this big.
And everything is done.
Not you don't have to be a superman. You
just have to know where your mind is.
Take that analogy. That's what I
understood when I became observant.
That being observant to God is not about
following rules.
I mean, of course, don't get me wrong.
Don't Don't flip it over and say RABBI
SAYS, NO RULES. NO, NO, NO. YOU HAVE to
do do the rules.
But it's not about the rules. And the
rules I'm talking about the mitzvot, the
halacha, all the things that we have to
do.
Or chash v'shalom don't.
I know many people who become observant,
they fall into fear.
Which
I was a little bit like that. Which I
had a good excuse to be afraid. But I
also had some fear. Oh, if I do this,
what's going to happen?
But, you need some fear. No fear, you're
not going to do anything.
When a person doesn't have fear,
he doesn't operate in the right way.
Doesn't matter what.
Even today, there was a certain incident
uh
with one of my boys, and my wife told
me, you have to punish him.
And I don't like punishing my kids.
But, she's like, you got to punish him.
Because if he's not going to be a
punishment,
he's going to know that next time he
he can if he will do it, there won't be
a punishment. And I don't like
punishing. I don't like being uh causing
somebody else
fear or pain.
But, unfortunately, that's not my
decision. My job here is not to be
uh merciful. My job is to educate. And
if the educating has to become with a
strong hand, then it will come with a
strong hand. My strong opinion and short
experience in life that you only learn
with a strong hand. I never seen a lot
of people or at all that in
automatically operate with no pressure,
with no nothing.
So, and if you can, go ahead. Kol
hakavod.
Most people, including me, operate the
right way when there's pressure. That's
it. And
[Music]
nothing wrong with having a little bit
of fear.
The problem when you don't have fear is
if you don't fear the top, you're not
going to fear nothing underneath. That's
how it works.
Because
I never feared anything in my life, not
physically, not anything. And I wasn't
afraid of anything
when I was a a young man. I'm not saying
that I'm afraid of anything now. But,
I'm saying as a young man, reckless and
irresponsible, I wasn't afraid of
anything. I jumped out of planes, jumped
off bridges, swam with sharks, did crazy
things that you can't even imagine.
Normal driving would be not less than
150 km an hour.
I mean, I didn't I didn't have any fear.
Because I didn't have any fear from the
main
boss, from Hashem, then nothing
underneath feared me. Not the not the
authorities,
police, judges, and so forth, not
anything.
When you don't have fear, you're
reckless. You're not you your judgment
is wrong.
Fear is not something bad. We're going
to start learning in Tomer Devorah, we
actually starting not today, cuz today
we're going to do an overview, but the
the chapter we're starting is how to
serve Hashem in the middle of Gevurah.
Nothing wrong with Gevurah, nothing good
wrong with a little bit of fear, some
restrictions, rules.
So, the mitzvah that Hashem gave us,
I'm not going to even elaborate on that.
The mitzvah, I know you are aware that
the translation is a commandment. I will
enlighten you and tell you mitzvah comes
from the word in Hebrew tzavta. Tzavta
means a strong connection. When you put
two things together, that's
what the real meaning of mitzvah.
Uh in English, of course, a commandment
or a mitzvah. But, the word mitzvah is
yes, it's a commandment. I commanded
you. The inner meaning of the word
mitzvah comes from the root. Every word
in Hebrew has a root. You have to go to
the root to understand the meaning of
the word. Then, the root of the word
mitzvah is tzavta, together, unity.
So, when I do a mitzvah,
I put fillin on, I wear tzitzit, I
whatever is birkat hamazon.
Then, what do I do really? I connect
myself with Hashem.
Really, what I do, and I don't want to
sidetrack for that,
when I say the blessing, baruch atah
Hashem, I pull down Hashem's presence
into the world. Cuz baruch means to pull
down. Baruch, I know in Hebrew is
baruch, blessed.
But, when you're saying baruch atah,
baruch, the biblical Hebrew, baruch,
habrachah means to bend something down.
They pull something down from below to
to oops, from above to below.
So, when I say baruch atah, who's atah?
You. But, who's atah? Hashem.
So, and who is Hashem? Baruch atah
Elokeinu.
Our God. Which God? King of the world,
melech ha'olam.
So, I'm defining who I want to invite
into this world. And when I do the
mitzvah by saying the brachah, I pull
this godly light into the world.
Performing the mitzvah, I connect to
this light.
That's it.
If you want to imagine it like a video
game for the ones who are a little bit
need more colorful examples,
then it's a like it's it's a video game.
You walk on the path, and there's all
sorts of shining gold coins, and you
need to boop boop boop and eat them,
right? Once you eat them, do you see the
gold coin on the image on the video
game? No, the coin just goes in. Same
thing here. Boop.
You eat the mitzvah, you you swallow the
light. The light becomes now part of
you.
Becomes part of you.
Comes you.
You become uh
stronger, better, higher, more connected
to Hashem, and so forth. And many other
things. This is not a class about
mitzvot.
What I want to paint about the mitzvot
is
the mitzvot are keeping you on the path.
Imagine now you drive on a six-lane
highway,
and there's no lanes. They did
constructions, they didn't paint the
lanes yet.
Six-lane highway. Do you know where to
drive?
So, you decide to drive here.
One car will be like, no no, you're in
my lane. Move over here.
Yeah, but there's enough room for
everybody. Yeah, but I'm going this
lane, you're going that lane. I'm
faster, you're slow.
Going to become a mess.
If you ever wondered why they paint
lanes on the floor, because if they
wouldn't be painted lanes, everybody
would drive wherever they want.
And what would happen when you drive
wherever you want? Accidents all day
long.
So, the mitzvot are the ones who are
putting you in lanes.
You want to pass a lane? No problem. Put
your blinking light and pass a lane.
But, stay in the lane. You You can't
go do whatever you want. It doesn't work
like that.
If you take the analogy of the of the
cars, you'll do car accidents all day
long. If you zigzags on lanes,
every time you get into a car, it's an
accident.
Now, take that analogy back to what I
just told you. The mitzvot is our lanes.
It's keeping me in lane.
You go out of the lane, you'll be up
you're going to have a problem.
It's not a punishment.
It's a reaction
of your action.
When you understand the mitzvot really
are keeping you on the lane, or in my
understanding and perspective, they put
the ground under your feet.
So, you can walk blindly wherever you
walk, and you will never fall. Because
you're walking on solid ground.
And you know, just for the test of it,
do what I told you.
Make a line on the floor, and you'll see
that you walk straight on it. Now,
choose a little fence or a ledge or
something that's a little bit high, and
you'll see you're already
like that.
Unless you you know, more tending
towards being
[Music]
But, you got the point.
So, if I don't have anything under my
ground, I will fall, and I will fall,
and I will fall. And eventually, when
you fall a lot, you get hurt. And when
you get hurt, eventually, you give up.
That's most people in their service to
Hashem.
They're in a state of I gave up.
I believe that a
small amount of observant Jews, they're
observing Hashem with joy and happiness,
and they want to, and they like it, and
they they have their challenges, of
course, and they have their ups and
downs, but overall, it's a very positive
experience. And a very large amount of
people, it's a burden.
You might not relate with it, cuz most
of you here in the room are all right,
they're baal teshuvahs or converts. So,
we're share the same ground, the
excitement that I choose to come to
Hashem.
If I would be born chareidi Orthodox,
99.9%
I would go the other way, become
secular.
With my personality.
So,
a baal teshuvah who chooses to come to
Hashem, and baal teshuvah converts the
same thing in how I see it.
You choose to go to Hashem. So, of
course, you do it with all the
excitement, love, and but that's don't
don't think that everybody's like that.
And most of and I see it cuz I travel
over the world. I go to all the
communities. I go to everywhere.
To be able to see and to to give my two
cents on the matter that the most
they do it cuz either they're afraid or
okay, I I'm going to do this cuz I need
to get that, and
it's not that you're
that a lot of people are like
jumping up and down from that. With a
lot of it, it's just fear. Or shame, or
whatever, which is, you know, what?
Better than nothing. Let me talk sh'lo
lishmah yavo lishmah.
Talmud says, better to do something How
do I You know what? I'll translate
I'll translate it different. Mi'tokh
sh'lo lishmah yavo lishmah is fake it
till you make it. That That's really the
translation.
Okay?
Uh the real translation
is when you're doing something not for
its sake, better to do it not for its
sake, later on it will cause you to do
it for the right sake.
But, it's really fake it till you make
it.
With that said,
when I started my journey to become
observant, in the beginning, the hard
part was understanding
I'm going to live a very restricted life
right now.
Because when I met my friend who I
didn't have a rabbi in the beginning and
I told him, how do
how do I
what do I need to do? How do I become a
Jewish, however you call it?
So he's opened his mouth and then closed
it.
You got to put the lean, you got to put
the teeth, you got to eat kosher, you
can't do this, you can't do that. Whoa,
it's sick, relax.
I bring him out the whole list. Give me
three.
No, no three. You got to do this, you
got to do this, you got to do this. It
was too much.
Now,
in the beginning thinking that that's
what that's about serving a sham, then
it took out all the excitement.
In my mind I was like, I'm already in
jail. Another jail?
I'm just trying to
paint the path.
We are learning not today. One of the
classes that we're learning is a book
called Shaarei Kedushah, the gate of
holiness.
Written by Rabbi Chaim Vital.
Who was the main
student of the Ariza, Rabbi Isaac Luria,
here in Safed
Plus plus minus.
And I'm sure you heard the name Rabbi
Chaim Vital wrote many books. Most of
the teachings of Kabbalah, who was
taught by the Ariza to the Rabbi Chaim
Vital, are written by
by
Rabbi Chaim Vital.
The gate of incarnations what we're
learning is written by Rabbi Chaim
Vital. It's the Ariza.
Ariza, it's the Ariza's teaching. No
question here.
But the book
was not even written by his student, was
written by the son of the students of
Rabbi Chaim of the of the Ariza.
The Ariza is the teacher. Rabbi
Rabbi Chaim Vital is the student and the
son of Rabbi Chaim Vital wrote the book.
Actually took all the scripts and wrote
it in the put it in the book. That's
Shaarei Kedushah.
Sorry,
Shaar HaGilgulim, gate of incarnation.
But many many books of Kabbalah, you can
come and sit here. Put him. You can come
and sit here.
Many books of Kabbalah, teachings of
Kabbalah, is all based on the teachings
of Rabbi Chaim Vital.
And we learn a lot of books from him.
And one of my favorite books that we're
learning here is Shaarei Kedushah, the
gates of holiness. This thick book,
small book
with
all the gems and that you need to know
breaking it down to A to Z. Really that
book is Ruach HaKodesh what that means.
That's what Shaarei Kedushah is, if you
ever wondered. Ruach HaKodesh anybody
can get. It's not prophecy.
Prophecy, you have to be a prophet.
You can't say I'm a prophet, I want to
have a prophecy. No. If you're a
prophet, you're a prophet. If not,
out. Ruach HaKodesh
which to be honest with you, I never
ever ever ever heard, found, or read
anywhere the right translation to the
term Ruach HaKodesh.
Because the translation Ruach is spirit,
Kodesh is holy.
So some people translate it as the Holy
Spirit. No, no, no, no, no, my friend.
Ruach HaKodesh is not the Holy Spirit.
Or a holy spirit.
And
many will translate Ruach HaKodesh as
divine knowledge, divine
inspiration. It's not.
So Ruach HaKodesh in two words what
Ruach HaKodesh is
Ruach is spirit. Ruach is also wind.
Ruach can also be read as re'ach
that you smell something.
Kodesh of course is holiness.
When
when you tell most people, oh that
person is holy person.
Most people, if you're Jewish, then you
imagine somebody with a long beard and
long pe'ot and a lot of wrinkles and you
know, you imagine like a rabbi, right?
Tell that person very holy.
Tell it now to any other faith, they'll
imagine how their holy person look,
right?
Kadosh
can be translated as holy
which it is, but Kadosh is really
separated.
When Hashem separates something, it
makes it holy.
So we have it in many different
situations.
The first one that comes up to my mind
is with ma'aser, when we give the 10%
from our my field.
Once I separate the 10%, you don't have
to touch it.
May Hashem you all have fields very soon
and you have your own trees to grow your
own fruit and food, especially after the
collapses today. I hope you are starting
to plan how you're going to survive.
And if you are looking at me like, what
collapses today? You didn't notice
yesterday with the cloud flare? All the
banks were down, all the internet was
down.
Did you notice for about 3 hours no
access to bank accounts, credit cards
not working? Did you notice it? Most
people didn't even notice
that the ground is being pulled under
your ground under your feet. Sorry, your
ground is being pulled under your feet
as you're standing. Most people didn't
even notice that.
You didn't notice?
You you read. I noticed I went to make a
transaction in the bank account. No
bank.
No credit card, no nothing.
Internet is not working well, things
don't
Now of course, yeah, yeah, it was a
configuration in one of the files.
Oh.
Yeah, half the world collapsed, a
configuration in a file.
These are the little heartbeats that you
need to listen to because one day that
fail is going to be long.
I don't know if to say permanently,
long.
And I want to see how the world
reacts. One week, no banks, no credit
cards, no nothing.
No stores.
So I know, I know.
We're not this is today is not that
class.
We're going to have a lot of classes
about that with all the fun that's
happening in the world.
So first of all, you know, off the
subject, we're going to we're going to
have to continue. I was about to say
finish. We're going to have to continue
the Arab series because there's another
we did 20 classes I think, there's
another 400 classes ready.
And then many other series that I
promised you. May Hashem we'll get to
that. But
we're going to have to talk again what's
going on in the world. Every half a year
we need to do a review what's going on.
What's the what's what was the last move
on the board that I can reverse engineer
what Hashem is doing here.
So each one is in their bubble. Don't
forget a year ago we were under missiles
all day long. That was the
war war. That's it, no more war.
Trump came, no more war. Thank you. God
bless America and Donald Trump.
So every moment the world is shifting.
Some things are big, some things are
small. Now you have a a new clown
running New York. That's going to be
very interesting to see.
That's going to be very interesting for
me to see.
Which I already said way before he got
elected. Not that I'm trying to claim
anything that he's going to the be the
mayor of New York and New York is going
to be the next London.
And that kind of needs to raise a lot of
red red lights.
But nevertheless, this is not the the
class that we're talking about and I
didn't even know how we got
sidetracked to that.
How did we get sidetracked to that?
I don't remember.
Ah.
Yeah, yesterday. The the collapse of the
cloud.
So I know most people don't really care
or don't even put any emphasis on what
take it serious because one day you're
going to wake up in the morning and
you're not going to have access to your
bank,
not to your PayPal, not to your bit, not
to your credit cards, not to your
trading account, not to nothing.
Where's my money? Where's my money?
You're laughing. Don't laugh. That's
what's going to happen.
And Ben David Ad De She Poruta Min
HaKees, the son of David, Mashiach Ben
David cannot come until there's not
going to be Okay, let me let me reverse
the translation Ad De She Poruta Min
HaKees, when there's not going to be
even a nickel or a dime in your pocket.
Equals digital currencies.
So they're working towards no cash
society.
That's when you know the something's
going to hit the fan.
So you see where it's going.
Right now all our money is digital. You
have money that is not digital?
You might have a little few pay pieces
of paper that is called cash.
But what if you can't use that cash?
On one One my trips back from America, I
got stuck in Europe.
Wouldn't expect anything else.
But I got stuck. I came to buy
something. I bought a American dollars,
all dollars.
But it's But it's money, no?
But I'm hungry, no?
Saying in other words, that piece of
dollar is now a piece of paper. It's a
toilet paper.
That's what it's worth.
In America, it's worth $100. Here you
can wipe your tookus with it.
So, who says you will somebody's going
to take your cash?
If you have any. All your money is
digital. All your money is numbers and
papers.
Even when you own a property, it's it's
papers. It's papers.
So, not to sidetrack too much, uh
yesterday's crash needs to raise a lot
of red flags. When the real crash is
going to come, I don't know, but just
know that one day that's what's going to
happen.
Whether it's in half a year or 4 years,
prepare for that. One day, what happened
yesterday, and maybe not everybody
experienced it.
3 hours, I tried to do bank transaction.
Neither bank that I tried to log in, not
Chase, not Israeli bank, nothing worked.
All blocked. No credit card, all
everything Nothing is on.
Not nothing is functioning.
And a lot of people said, "Oh, there's
some issue with the internet." It's not
the internet, my friend.
It's another issue.
But nevertheless, what am I saying?
Yesterday, the cloud went down, and
voila.
Uh now, let's go back to where I
started. I said one day you will have a
garden, and you'll grow your own fruit
and vegetables. That's where your mind
has to be.
Because when things are going to turn
not so great, you need to be
self-sufficient. You can't depend on any
system.
You can only depend on a sham and
yourself.
Which means that you need to cushion
yourself right now
with
uh permanent solution
to the time when there's going to be
issues.
Doesn't matter what We're not going to
talk about this right now. I spoke about
it many times, and I'll elaborate on
that uh much more because
time is coming closer to the
to the deadline.
But going back to what I was trying to
say, if you have a garden, or you are
farmer,
you have to give 10% of your crops and
your fruit and vegetables. The way to do
it is that you while it's on the tree,
you already separated, and you put a
ribbon, and you're saying this is This
is going to be the ma'aser.
Why? Cuz you need to get the best of the
best of the best.
Once you separated something,
that's called kadosh. And of course, I'm
talking about separating it to for the
sake of the Torah, not separating
nonsense.
Once you take an object, and you
separate it from the majority, and
you're saying this is going to be for
Hashem, you made that thing holy at that
point. It's called kadosh. Means you
can't touch it.
All this Thank you so much. All this I'm
saying
because I'm trying to give a very short
definition what's ruach hakodesh.
You know what?
Just because we're not we're limited
with time,
uh maybe I'll see if it's shayach to
initiate a class to teach all about
ruach hakodesh.
In two words, ruach hakodesh
is that you do have do have divine
power.
How much is your power? What is the
power? Depends on you.
So, ruach hakodesh is really being a
superhero
if you have ruach hakodesh.
So, some type of ruach hakodesh will be
prophecy.
And And again, the definition is that I
have a holy I I have a I don't like
saying the Holy Spirit because it's not.
But I have a spirit
of holiness in me.
It's saying in other words, I have
access to encrypted information.
That's it.
What is the information? Well, one ruach
hakodesh will be prophecy.
Another type of ruach hakodesh that I
look at a person and I see their
incarnations. That's it. That's my ruach
hakodesh.
That's my my gift, my superpower.
Like my 6-year-old, every 3 days he
asked me, "If you could have any
superpower,
who would you be?
Superman,
Spider-Man,
the other guy I don't remember the
name."
I told him they're all wearing tights. I
don't want to be neither one of them.
Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech
ha'olam shehakol nihiye bidvaro. Amen.
And like they post on Facebook, you
don't need to wear a cape to be a
superhero.
So, ruach hakodesh can come in many
different ways. Ruach hakodesh can come
in a way that I read minds. Ruach
hakodesh can come that I see through a
wall. Ruach hakodesh can come that I can
see something that is happening on the
other side of the world. Can be
prophecy. Can be many things. And it can
be all together, by the way. It all
depends on your level of ruach hakodesh.
So,
one of the highest highest highest
levels of ruach hakodesh that ever
anybody reached was the Ari Zal, Rabbi
Yitzchak Luria. And his ruach hakodesh
came about in prophecy,
came about in fact that he would look at
you and he would see all your
incarnations.
Very few people were able to do that.
Maybe the Baal Shem Tov, I think, was
able to do that and a few others.
The Ari Zal knew all the languages of
all animals. He was able to talk with
animals.
That's what That's what level of ruach
hakodesh. That's not Doctor Doolittle.
That's the Ari Zal talking to animals.
He would be able to talk to spirits, to
souls, go up and down in the in the from
the world below to the world above. I'm
mean talking here a superpower, not some
Spider-Man that jumps from building to
building. That's the real ruach
hakodesh.
His student there, Rabbi Chaim Vital,
that we're talking about, also had very
high level of ruach hakodesh.
His ruach hakodesh, he would be able to
teleport himself from place to place.
So, the ruach hakodesh can come in many
different aspects, many different ways.
It can be somebody in the level of Rabbi
Shimon bar Yochai, the Ari Zal, the Baal
Shem Tov, the the the lower level of
ruach hakodesh
is
uh phew
teleporting yourself, many many
different things.
Uh as prophecies, reading See,
but it depends. But some people can have
this much ruach hakodesh.
Shaarei Kedushah, the book that we're
learning here, is the uh
ruach hakodesh for dummies. You want
ruach hakodesh, follow this book. If you
follow this book, he tells you, "Follow
what I tell you exactly, and you'll have
ruach hakodesh." And you have to
understand that with ruach hakodesh, you
can do things
you you like an Ari Zal, you like a Baal
Shem Tov.
You talk to angels.
You walk freely from this world to the
world above. You do You You You are
tzaddik. You're not a Sorry, let me take
it back. You can have ruach hakodesh
without being Well,
you you have to have level of tzaddikus
to have ruach hakodesh cuz you can't
have any sins. One sin, no ruach
hakodesh.
50 years be observant, one blink wrong
way, no ruach hakodesh.
Yitzchak Avinu,
uh Yaakov Avinu,
one of the greatest greatest prophets in
history, one of the greatest leaders.
He's one of the forefathers. That means
he's the one of the four corners of the
chariot. This is levels that it's very
hard for us to relate.
When I'm saying to relate, if you would
see Yitzchak, Avraham, Yaakov, you would
might see a human being, but it's not a
regular human being, level of David
Hamelech. But nevertheless, Yaakov Avinu
had ruach hakodesh in a very high level.
When Yosef was abducted,
he lost his ruach hakodesh.
The whole time Yosef was away, he didn't
have ruach hakodesh.
And why?
Cuz he was in a state of un being
unhappy, atzvut.
He knew his son is not dead.
Didn't see anybody.
So, he was in a state of atzvut, and
therefore he lost his ruach hakodesh.
So, he didn't Cuz a lot of people say,
"Yaakov is such a giant pro He couldn't
know that his son is in
in a tunnel in Gaza?"
Ask yourself this question. Yaakov is
not some
uh
some regular individual.
Yaakov was the grandson of Avraham
Avinu.
I don't want to compare it in names in
our generation, but that's Yaakov was a
billionaire.
It's almost like you'll say, I don't
know. I don't want to say names cuz here
in our generation, they're all clowns,
the billionaires.
But for the sake of the example, it's I
would say Elon Musk, uh
Shmil Gates, or whatever that idiot name
is.
Yaakov Avinu was a gazillionaire in
money.
You know what power he had? You want to
tell me that Yaakov Avinu couldn't go
and do a search team looking for his
son?
Does it say anywhere in the Torah that
Yaakov went looking for his son?
And you want to tell me that he he
didn't have enough the power to send the
word out, "Look for my son"?
He knew his son was taken by the Hamas
to the tunnels in Gaza.
Now, it's Gaza the name of Mitzrayim, no
difference.
So, Yosef was sitting in tunnels.
Yaakov couldn't find him. Couldn't look
for him.
He didn't have ruach hakodesh. He didn't
even know where to start.
He lost it.
He lost ruach hakodesh.
And when Why? I gave a whole class about
that a few years ago, cuz Yaakov
in the Kabbalah is considered the Zeir
Anpin,
and he needed Yosef, who's the yesod.
And when Joseph was removed, he didn't
have his connection.
But nevertheless, let's let's I'm really
sidetracking and we don't have much
time.
Uh
So, ruach hakodesh is a very high level
of uh divine power.
And there's many different levels of
ruach hakodesh. Shaarei Kedushah is the
book that brings you to ruach hakodesh.
If you follow one word after the other,
you'll have ruach hakodesh.
And ruach hakodesh can be, like I told
you, uh to levels of prophecy and
teleportation and many other things. And
ruach hakodesh can be
basic basic things.
Basic things that you're just a little
bit higher than the average individual.
So, you'll see things a little bit
clearer, stronger intuition, but I
wouldn't call that even ruach hakodesh.
But nevertheless, Shaarei Kedushah, if
you follow it, you'll reach ruach
hakodesh.
Now, why did we get to ruach hakodesh,
how we sidetracked? I don't remember.
But
let me go back to where I was saying
that the mitzvot
are my lanes. It's where they keep me on
my lane. So, I'm not going to start
floating on the on the highway and start
doing accidents all over the place.
And the mitzvah is what's connected me
to Hashem. It's my spiritual fuel.
Because I connect myself to the godly
light.
The mitzvot
for now, and I'm not uh chas v'shalom
narrowing down the definition for what
I'm trying to teach you, the mitzvot is
the lanes that you stay by because it's
it keeps you. You got to do this, you
got to do that, you got to do this. It
keeps you safe. Forget about now that
it's connecting you to Hashem.
And forget about now the fact that you
are fulfilling the will of Hashem.
It's
giving you a benefit.
And most important, keeping you on
track. Because when you fly high and you
fly fast, you make one mistake, you
fall.
So, when I became observant, I
understood
very quickly that observing Hashem
is not about the rules. The rules are
important. You cannot break the rules.
You break the rules, you'll never get to
your destination.
We're going to talk in the next class
about Shaarei Shaarei Gilgulim. Because
and like I told you, this class is more
like to get you into the Okay, we're
going back to learn Tomer Devorah. We're
going back to learn Shaarei Shaarei
Gilgulim because a lot of you weren't
with us from the beginning and you might
want to go to the website and catch up
on the last classes that you missed.
Although, if you come in in the middle,
you're not going to
and not understand anything.
You can come at any point, but needless
to say, it's important information. I
would go back and see the videos.
They're from the beginning.
The reason why I said I was talking
about Shaarei ruach hakodesh
is because I mentioned that Rabbi Chaim
Vital in the book Shaarei Kedushah, Gate
of Holiness, he says in the beginning in
the introduction
that performing performing the mitzvot
is extremely important, learning Torah,
doing the Torah. All this is important
and a must.
But the real thing that one needs to
focus on in his life, why you came to
this world,
is called tikkun hamiddot, the
rectification the the refinement of
character.
That's what Rabbi Chaim Vital says.
That's the highlight of your life.
You did not come here for an academic
degree or for money or to become a very
good athlete. That's not what you came
here for. You came into this world for
one purpose, to refine yourself.
And if you did not do that after 60, 70,
80 years, you go in and out like a
revolving door, back to where you came
from, and you didn't do nothing.
And that's why we learn Shaarei
Gilgulim, Gate of Incarnations, cuz when
you go through the revolving door,
you'll come back again.
Same place,
different time,
another life.
We're all here for at least
three, four, five, 10, 50 times.
Neither one of us here is one time. I'm
I'm brand new here.
Seeing everybody around us, making a
quick calculation, we're here for many
times with how we behave.
So, just remember that when you don't
fix something here, you go out, but it's
a revolving door and you come right back
in.
And that's called an incarnation. And
we're all incarnations.
And that's why we learn Shaarei
Gilgulim, the Gate of Incarnations, so
we know what to do.
Gate of Incarnations, I call it
the guide
for my
purpose.
And Tomer Devorah, I would call it the
guide of my refinement and growth.
And there's many other books, by the
way. I'm just since we're learning these
two, I'm giving you how I look at it.
Tomer Devorah will give me the tools
how can I refine myself?
Because when I go through this revolving
door, A, I'm not coming back to the same
place. I'm going to the other side.
But you have to come into the world
dirty. When you come to the world dirty,
if not, you won't come. And you want to
come out of the world clean.
The mitzvot is what's going to keep you
on the track.
You know, confess a little thing.
I I confessed it many times that I have
a weak point to very fast cars.
Everybody has a yetzer hara, right?
My wife is happy with my yetzer hara.
She says, "Men look at women, you look
at cars."
So, we were in Florida uh in the summer,
in Miami.
So, my wife is happy. She's like,
"Everybody's looking at the half-naked
girls, you're looking at the cars."
So, I have a weakness.
So, if you're smart, you know how to
feed the weakness in small doses.
It's called mayim acharonim.
You give the You give the animal a
little bit to eat.
Cuz if he gets too hungry, he will eat
you.
Right?
So, if you ever raised some type of a
beast, you you understand that he will
be hungry, he will eat you.
So, same with your yetzer hara,
everything. So, you got to give him a
little doses to keep him quiet.
So, I know my weaknesses and I know how
to handle them
in most of the cases. So, why am I
saying that? Just to give you an
analogy. All this confession is for one
for analogy. So, in my tour in the
summer, we were in America for 2 months,
had I don't know, I think like 50
lectures, very successful tour,
beautiful tour, met a lot of people, met
all my students and followers that I
never see, I don't know who they are.
Was very special.
One of the stops was Las Vegas.
So, in Vegas, uh to make a long story
short cuz we're short on time, they have
a track there that you go to the track
and you pay a few hundred dollars
and you select any of about 60 fast
cars, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, whatever
you want.
And you go on the
on the track.
Why wouldn't I do such a fun thing?
Now, only problem is that they limit
you, you can only go 240 km an hour.
They don't let you go more than that.
And then they have the track police, a
track hawk that comes to you.
700 horsepower.
But nevertheless, it's fun.
You rent a Lamborghini or Porsche,
whatever you want. And you
on the on the track. Okay.
Why am I saying all this?
Because you do drive fast. And 240 km an
hour is fast enough. I would want to do
300 there because it's a track. But 200
is enough.
When I went there,
I saw the people. Anyone can do that.
Now, if you are a professional driver, I
don't mind driving with you on the
track.
With any one of you on the track, I
wouldn't drive on the track.
No offense.
I know what you're going to do.
Do you know how to drive at 250 km an
hour?
I don't think so.
You make a mistake, I run into you.
No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no.
I'm now at the mercy of another person
doesn't know how to drive.
Now, if you're going into such a place,
you need to know how to drive. No, I'm
specially giving this analogy, by the
way. I'm not I'm trying to sell you a
product.
When you're flying on a
When you're going on a track, means
you're flying fast. Flying, driving,
same idea.
One little mistake
and you're out.
And you know what causes that mistake?
So, I'm not talking about now a
malfunction in the car.
Is if you get out of the lane.
That's it.
That's the rule of fast driving. Stay in
your lane.
The second you go out of your lane,
you're going to hit another car.
Because you don't always know who's next
to you.
Right? You dead areas.
And I'm not talking about driving here
in Kiryas Joel.
Talking driving in a track when you're
flying.
Every
millimeter is
detrimental.
The rule here, don't switch
You switch lanes, you'll get into an
accident and lose control.
The lanes are engineered in a certain
way.
You have to break the rules to go
through lanes
and then of course your capabilities
will determine if you can do that.
But on a regular track, on a regular
race, you don't do that.
You move out of the lane, you'll do an
accident. That's it.
So,
serving Hashem, that's a fast lane.
Secular, unobservant,
idiotic, agnostic, but come then you
whatever.
You're not in any lane.
If you love Hashem but you're not
observant, you you you
you want to serve Hashem the right way,
you have to fly on the lane.
You can't change lanes. That's where the
mitzvot come in.
When you have your lane set and you have
everything is set, you won't fail.
You won't fall. You have a solid ground
under you.
You have a destination. You have a goal.
You have a mark. You have a
In Hebrew, it's called nikudot mifgash.
Points on my timeline where I stop to
recalibrate
and I move on.
Checkpoints. Thank you.
So, I need the ground.
No ground, you fail.
And all this, 45 minutes, well, 54
minutes, to explain to you
that this journey in this world, the
next class we're going to talk about
Shaar HaGilgulim,
to understand my purpose.
Here I need to understand
how to go out of this world
in the way I'm supposed to.
Each and every one of you is a diamond.
Did you ever see a diamond
unpolished?
How it comes out of the mine?
Go to Google and and search it.
How a diamond looks? It looks like a
black rock. It doesn't look like
anything. You wouldn't even spit to that
direction, you would kick it.
Then you have to polish it.
And it's not nice like how you see
in uh
Tiffany.
It's
And then you need to polish it and
refine it and then you have a nice
diamond.
And what will determine its value and
its uh
carat, its level of uh value?
How polished it is.
The more it's polished, the more the cut
is precise and you're talking here about
millimeters.
I'm sure you saw these guys, you know,
like that.
The more it's polished, the more it's
cut perfectly, the carat is higher, it's
more it's more expensive.
That's it.
You are a diamond. You came to the
world,
came through a dirty mine
and you're full of dirt.
And now you need to polish the diamond.
Because at the end of the route, you're
going to need to give the diamond back
to Hashem polished.
And that's your neshama.
And when you polish your neshama, I'm
not here for the reward. You give it
back to Hashem clean. That's your
purpose.
And to polish your neshama can only be
done if you refine yourself.
And that can only be done through a
system that is called tikkun hamiddot,
the
refinement of character.
And it's a long process. Tomer Devorah
is one of the many books that we learn
to bring me to that
level.
But
if you have no goals, if you have no
aspirations, if you have no desires, if
you have no dreams, if you have no
place you want to be,
then sorry I'm telling you that in that
way you are a loser.
You're wasting your time here.
Sorry that I'm saying it like that, but
I told you already, sometimes you need a
slap to your face to wake up.
Cuz the minimum of the minimum of the
goal you have to have is to accomplish
what you're supposed to do in this world
spiritually.
I'm telling you that you need to be a
doctor, an engineer, or to be a marathon
runner or whatever. Your goals and
aspirations is where my How am I leaving
this world?
How did you come to this world? I know.
How you leaving this world?
You know at some point we're all leaving
the world?
We're all going to meet our creator.
That's a big enough goal.
My goals, yeah, I have goals that have
to do with physical things,
but I have goals in the how high I want
to reach in my spiritual observance, how
far I want to reach in my spiritual
observance, and everything is with a
plan, by the way.
When I became observant, there was
timelines. In the next half a year I
have to do this. In the next 3 years I
have to do that. In the next 5 years I
have to do this and this.
Nobody does that. I've seen tons of baal
teshuvahs. I don't see any Nobody has uh
order.
It's like one big mess.
I came into the system with a plan. If
you don't work with a plan, you're not
going to do nothing.
You can go now to the gym.
If you don't have a plan for the
workout, yeah, yeah, you'll work out,
but you're not going to do You're not
going to get 10% of what you would
actually get if you work with a plan.
Cuz you'll go and you'll do one
exercise for the leg and then another
exercise for the hand and No, no, no,
no, no. You need a set.
Set
plan.
It's just Have you ever seen somebody
going to get to the to the kitchen and
pulling whatever they find in the in the
fridge and they're starting to cut
things?
No, no, no, no, no. I need for the salad
I need vegetables. For the soup I need
that. You need a plan.
I go to buy Well, it doesn't happen so
often, but when I do go and buy in a
store, I go with a list.
Everything is with a plan. Now again,
you can be not like that, then you'll be
just less successful.
Everything needs a plan.
Whether it's something small as cooking
a meal, you need a plan. What are the
ingredients? What am I buying?
What do I need? I need three pots? Do I
need five pots?
And you can take it to a bigger level.
I'm starting a company.
I need a plan.
I need to buy products and how am I
selling it?
The the the administrative part
Everything needs a plan. You do
something without a plan, you'll fail
miserably. And then of course, take it
to big scale. Can you imagine an army
going into a war no plan?
Okay, GUYS, JUST SHOOT ANYTHING YOU SEE.
But what do you mean shoot anything we
see? What's What's our objective?
What are we doing? Do we conquer? Do we
kill? Do we take captive? What?
Everything has to work with a plan. So
so much more so the Torah.
So much more so the Torah.
And by the way, since I see that we're
we're both running out of time and the
first class is long,
as as I'm speaking, I'm merging both
classes. We'll have one long class.
Both on Tomer Devorah and Shaar
HaGilgulim. The point of this class is
to The ones who are following the
course,
to refresh in your mind. After all,
we've been learning dozens and dozens
and dozens of class. I'm not expecting
anybody to remember the material.
In Shaar Shaar HaGilgulim, Gate of
Incarnation, we're in chapter seven. We
did about 100 classes. That's
150, 200 hours of Torah. I'm not
expecting anyone to remember what we
learned. I mean, the general part. And
if you can, go back and see the
beginning.
Tomer Devorah is much, much shorter.
Tomer Devorah we did five chapters, but
either way,
even if you didn't ever learn with us,
not, join where you are and catch up.
But to summarize the the concept, when I
became observant, as I started the
class,
I I I
I wasn't so happy with the arrangement.
Because I was 27 years old and I was a
secular man and my friend told me you
can't do this, you can't do this, you
can't do this. He didn't tell me what I
have to do. He just told me what I can't
do.
I said, "You just took everything away.
You didn't leave nothing.
Can't go to the beach, can't go to the
movie, can't go to the owl, can't be
with girls, can't go to parties. So what
do you leave me?"
So I didn't like the arrangement in the
beginning, but of course, my hand was
bent. I I was afraid of Hashem, so I
okay, got to make it work.
But very, very quickly,
I understood that
that I have a purpose in this world.
I was not born into this world to be
another number.
And I was not created into this world
just to be passively
living this world
and just leaving.
And prior to my near-death experience, I
was a atheist. I didn't care about
anything, didn't believe in anything. I
lived my life uh you know, eat today cuz
you're going to die tomorrow.
But when I became observant, it's
because I was exposed to the spiritual
world. So I
then understood
I have value.
I'm not some a creature.
I'm not another bird
or another cat or another ant
or another zebra.
You go into the to the
to the herd of the zebras, they all look
the same. They don't have their
individuality. All the flies look the
same. All the birds look the same. Okay,
maybe one strike is like this and one
strike is like that.
But take every specie,
they all look the same.
Right? Or maybe a little difference of
color or a pattern. All the zebras look
the same. You can't say, "Oh,
oh, here's a zebra one here zebra two."
They all look the same to me.
And I'm not talking about the way you
know, horses one is black, one is white.
The specie, they all look the same.
We don't.
We're not like animals. We might have
the same structure, ears, forehead,
eyes.
There's not one person in the world that
is identical to another person, even
twins. No such a thing.
Because each and every one of us is an
individual soul and the soul cannot be

When you understand that you are a part
of a system and you have not only
a job to do, you have a purpose,
then things start looking a little bit
different.
If you right now in where you are in
your life
don't believe or know or think or see
that you have a purpose that you need to
do in this world,
your situation is very bad.
I don't know if it's even
fixable.
It is.
But ask yourself this question right
now. Well, not right now. Ask it later.
And ask yourself that question. If not,
you just stand here for nothing. Ask
yourself unless it's unless you don't
need to ask yourself and you you know,
like in
how do you call that game, Jeopardy?
Right? That's the game? That you have to
do the buzzer quick and then you say the
answer?
Help me out.
It's Jeopardy?
Okay, so you got to help me out here.
I'm just by myself here. But the game
that they ask a question and you have to
hit the buzzer quick and and you have to
say the question, right? The answer.
Same thing here.
Quick.
That's how fast you need to answer if
you know what your purpose in this
world. If you don't know, well,
let me take it one step worse.
If you don't think even,
and I'm not addressing anyone in this
room cuz I know you all do. But I'm
saying it. If a person doesn't have a
purpose,
what are you doing here?
And the purpose I'm not talking about
physical achievements. That's nice to
have physical achievements. I'm talking
about the purpose why Hashem created me.
Because if Hashem doesn't need me, I
will not be existing. So if I exist,
Hashem needs me to do something. I'm
hired to a job.
Yes, if you do the job right, there's
bonuses, there's benefits, olam haba,
world to come, all that good stuff. But
right now you are hired to do a job.
Do you know what's your job?
You don't know what your job is. Most
people don't know what their job is.
They're running in circles, running
after their tail.
When I'm saying your job is, what's your
purpose in this world?
And a lot of people
they don't even have it in their front
mind that I have a purpose
that I need to fulfill.
Now, it works both ways. A, nobody's
asking you
about the purpose. Hashem says you have
to do it.
B,
you're the only one who benefits.
Because when you're walking on the path
of your purpose,
then doors open.
Your actions are successful.
You reap rewards.
When you're not walking in the path of
your purpose,
opportunities don't work out.
Opportunities stop coming.
Doors slam in your face. Things don't
work out.
A lot of friction with a lot of people.
Things just don't work out. That's it. I
don't have any other way of saying it.
You're not walking on your path, things
won't work out for you.
Not in your livelihood, in your
parnassah, not in your in in relations,
you're not going to have
good relations with your spouse or
you're not going to have a spouse at
all.
You're walking on the same path.
Just
just the
how do you call it? The view is
disgusting.
You can go on a train from point A to
point B, sit in the front
how do you call it?
card
in a beautiful VIP with a bed and
everything and on the same train you can
be all the way in the back in the box
car.
And you can sit in the same analogy. On
this train you sit on it looking to this
side, you see this view. Beautiful
river, mountains.
You sitting on this side looking to this
direction, highways, railroad tracks.
How come I got the good view, you got
the bad view? Well, I chose where to
sit.
We can all walk on the same path. You
can walk on the path that you need to
go, but everything is messed up. Why?
Cuz you're not doing your purpose.
Somebody asked me an amazing amazing
question. I'm going to do a class on
that next week. And the question is, how
do I know to say the difference between
what are challenges and tests from
Hashem as tests
that I have to accept it as a test?
And how do I make the differentiation
that the other challenges and tests are
actually my sins and my wrongdoing?
I have now a challenge.
Is it a sin that I did? Is it something
wrong that I'm doing and Hashem is
enlightening me with this challenge that
I will do teshuvah and look for what's
going on?
Or is it option number two that it's a
challenge that was predestined before I
was even born
as part of the challenges of my path?
How do I know?
Because if it's a challenge that was
predestined,
and to give you an example of a
challenge of being predestined,
from the year 23 to 32, you're not going
to do well financially. That's already
in your spiritual DNA. That's it.
Or you will only get married when you're
34.
So from the age of 20 to 14 to 34, 14
years of single, you're going nuts.
But that's already written.
That's a challenge you can't change.
It's already predestined. That's one of
the challenges of your life. Has nothing
to do with anything. You're going to
have to pull through the challenge.
But how do I know that what I'm going
through is the that challenge,
predestined?
Or maybe the challenge that I'm dealing
with right now is my actions
of sins or some action that is causing
this reaction and that it's challenging
me.
How do I know?
If it's my predestined challenge, then I
will deal with it the right way.
Meaning accepting the challenge and
going forward with it.
But if it's option number two, I need to
reverse engineer and do teshuvah.
Maybe the challenge that I'm going in
right now. Let's say right now a man, a
woman, doesn't matter. A whole year no
parnassah. You start a business.
Parnassah means your livelihood, your
money.
Doesn't matter what happens, you can't
make ends meet. You try to do this
business deal,
you lose. You buy
Bitcoin, it goes down to $80. Anything
you want to do, boom, you eat it.
Now, maybe it's just a challenge. Maybe
it's just a test in emunah, in belief,
in bitachon, in trust. Maybe it's just
Hashem's
challenges like we all get challenged.
And then I need to ignore it and
and just to follow through.
But what if I'm having problems with my
parnassah, with my livelihood and I'm
losing all my Bitcoin
because I stole something and I and I
didn't do teshuvah for that.
Maybe I did gezel. Gezel is worth than
stealing.
The translation of gezel is robbery, but
I don't agree with that translation.
Robbery is put it put your hands up.
That's robbery. Gezel, I can do gezel to
you without even know that I did that.
Gezel is a very severe level of
stealing.
Because when I
g'neva, stealing is I sneak through the
window, I break your window
and I come in, I take your TV and I go
out of the window with your TV. You know
your TV was was taken and the window was
broken.
Gezel,
you can have a business and I can come
into your business and take things from
your business and you don't even know
that I took it from you.
A fool to be coming.
G'neva,
let me say it in English. When some
when g'neva, you know that something was
stole from you.
Gezel,
something can be taken from you and you
don't even know it.
Which means the taker
can steal from you not knowing that you
don't even know he's stealing from you.
Or it can be not an agreement with
money. It can be a million things. I
know I I gave you a promise that I'll do
a long class about gezel.
But for now, just to move on, gezel is
is stealing. It's taking something
without permission of somebody else.
That will cause you not to have money,
not to have parnasa, not to have all
sorts of
So, how do I know that the challenge
right now
is something natural
or something that I did?
And then I need to reverse engineer to
find out what it did I do.
So, I can fix it.
If something doesn't work out in my life
over and over and over,
I stop and I start analyzing. Why is
this thing not working?
And maybe 20 years ago I gave a promise.
It's called a nedel, a vow.
And I did not do paying my vow. Yeah, it
will hunt you.
Careful what you say, what you promise.
So, things can happen from my behavior.
So, how do I make the difference? That
is going to be a different class. I'm
going to do this week and I'm going to
explain the big difference between both
of them and how you recognize the
difference between bechlal.
But right now, forget about that. I'm
talking about my journey in this world.
If it's not in the front part of your
brain, if it doesn't occupy your mind
daily,
something's wrong in your system.
You need to You don't I'm not expecting
you to know what your purpose
is. That's very hard. That's why we
learn Shaarei Gilgulim.
Shaarei Gilgulim will help you reverse
engineer to your purpose.
And your purpose, by the way, is is what
you need to do in this world.
And the purpose changes. You can be 10
years this purpose, 10 years here, 10
years here, 5 years here. It It's
dynamic.
Some people do the same thing their
whole life. Some people changes all the
time. Most people don't know their
purpose in this world.
And I'm not talking about now your
career and I'm not talking about your
studies. I'm not talking about stuff.
That's good things to do.
Secular, observant, not It doesn't
matter. It's always good to have goals,
always to grow, always to develop,
always to broaden your horizons.
But that's not my purpose.
Could be that right now my purpose is to
be a father to a few kids and and
support them and educate them. And maybe
that's my purpose. I can be a simple man
just working my job and my purpose is to
educate my kids to be good individuals,
God-fearing people.
Not everybody is a president.
But it doesn't matter who you are. You
have a purpose in this world. And the
first of all, if I want to approach my
purpose, okay? Let's finish the class.
Shaarei Gilgulim. I call Shaarei
Gilgulim my guide to how to find my
purpose. I don't know my purposes. I'm
walking here in the dark. I don't know
nothing here. I don't know where I came
from. I don't know what I did. Nobody
gave me some pamphlet when I came here
in the hospital when I was born. Nobody
came and told me what what to do here.
They just shoved a pacifier in my mouth
and told me, "Welcome to the world."
So, I need books to tell me where what's
going on here.
Because 99.9% of the people in this
world, they don't know what's going on
here. They don't know where to go. They
don't know who to follow. Everybody's
going in circles following the ass of
the one in front of them. That's what's
going on. Sorry for that I'm saying
that. Very few people, a fraction of
people in this world are individuals,
think separately and follow what they
need to do. Most people go in circles.
The trend, they follow the trend. What
the world does.
Then
you need to take
a few key points when you finish this
class. First is that you need to ask
yourself
every day,
even 10 times a day, till you get it.
What is my purpose in this world? What
am I doing to achieve this purpose? What
am I doing
to refine myself as requested that when
I come back to the world above, I can
easily say
I'm not talking about now serving God,
mitzvot, doing good things, helping
people. I'm talking right now. I need to
narrow down my path in this world
because the path is very short.
Your life goes like that. Before you
know it, you out.
Not that I'm trying to make you feel
like old and
But that's the reality. Let's cut to the
chase. Some point in my life there's
nothing bad about that. You move to a
better place.
But let's be a little bit harsh and
realistic. My time is is is very limited
here.
Either I will grow out and die or
Mashiach will come, one of the others.
And 40 years, that's not a long time, by
the way.
If you thinking, "Oh, I have another 40
years to live." 40 years is nothing.
And who says you're going to live
another 40 years?
And it's not about living or not living.
Mashiach can come tomorrow.
Once Mashiach comes, that's it. Story's
over.
So, we we we we are a little bit
pressured with time.
I don't do anything under pressure, but
we are pressured with time. The pressure
should cause the the focus.
Not to Most people, like I told you, I I
promised many that I'm going to do a
class about time management. Most people
24 hours a day, they're they're
efficient 2 hours. That's it. 22 hours I
don't know what they're doing.
You want to be successful, you need good
time management. I sleep 2 hours, 22
hours I I'm very efficient. Nothing is
wasted here.
I don't go like this on phones.
Waste of my time. Doesn't give me
anything, no benefit, didn't get
educated, didn't make money, nothing.
To go like this.
So, I do it.
And most people waste most of their time
on nonsense.
The other day somebody I spoke to, tick
tick, and then I said, "I got to run."
He said he says, "You're You're not
nice." He said it in a
different word. He said, "You're not
polite. You're not nice." Why?
Cuz you're you're not talking. I said,
"Where does it say here I need to talk
to you?
Uh what am I going to benefit if I'm
standing in the street and schmooze with
you?
I asked how you are. You told me you're
feeling good. I asked how your family
is. You told me they're doing well. You
asked me how my family is doing. I told
you everything is good.
That's where the conversation ends.
I need to hear about your nonsense right
now. You need to hear about I have
things to do.
I don't sit in a coffee shop and
schmooze and
3 hours.
Some people have the time for that.
I don't want to say the word that I was
about to say about that those people.
Cuz if you have time to sit 3 hours in a
coffee shop and go like this,
maybe you should learn Torah.
Maybe do some good deeds. Maybe go and
help people. Maybe go to work and make
some money.
So,
don't get me angry now.
You need to understand that if you don't
I'm not I'm not telling you to know your
purpose right now. You need to
understand that there is a purpose that
you need to figure out.
And then there's going to be a path that
you're going to walk on. Whether you
like it or not.
There's no You have no choice here.
With that said, before you
plan any bold plans, you need the basic.
Because
when I was in the beginning of my path,
I didn't know what I'm going to be
when I was older, I mean. So, then I
wanted to be a fireman. You know, you
ask a 6-year-old, "What do you want to
be when you're older?" "I want to be a
fireman." The other day
The other day somebody I have a
6-year-old boy. Somebody asked something
one of the kids, "What do you want to be
when you're older?" So, one of the boys
said, "I want to be a fireman cuz it
sounds like cool, yeah?" So, the other
boy answered, "There's not good money in
that."
I was like,
"That's a very very mature boy."
6-year-olds, they get excited. "I want
to be on the truck. I'm going to No, no,
no, no, no. No, it's only 50 grand a
month. It's not a good job." That's what
the other boy said.
So,
you can be
sweeping the floor
all your life. It doesn't mean you're
not fulfilling your purpose. Maybe your
purpose is to be humble.
And to not to desire too many things.
And not to run after fame, money, and
respect. I don't know.
Do you know your purpose?
Most people ask them if I know what
their purpose is. They don't
have don't have the slightest clue
what's their purpose. And everything
they're pursuing is what they like or
what they want. That's not their
purpose. It's something they like.
My purpose is this. I like FAST CARS.
TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. MY PURPOSE IS not
driving fast cars.
I love it. Why do I love it? I don't
know. Why do you love apples and you
love oranges? Can you say why you love
things?
You love this type of music. You love
that type of music.
You love bitter. You love sweet. You
can't say why or how.
I don't know why that is my desire. I
don't know why this is my weakness.
I'm not even trying to figure out.
I don't care.
Your weakness is chocolate. Your
weakness is
whatever, gambling. Your weakness
Everybody has a different weakness.
When you were born, they gave you an
option. Which weakness do you want?
No. They just gave you your weaknesses.
And at the same time, they gave you your
strength.
Now, you need to walk on your path
[Music]
understanding that there's a path to
walk on and there's a way to walk on
that path.
If you don't fulfill your purpose in
this world, you wasted 60, 70, 80 years
of your life,
and you're going to go through the
revolving door and we'll see you in the
next chapter.
I don't want to come back here again. I
love you all. I'm not coming back here.
This is the last time. I'm getting this
time right. I hope at least Hashem will
give me the option. I don't want to come
back here anymore. I'm done.
My passport of reincarnations is full.
But regardless, if Hashem wants me to
come back,
I'll be back.
My goal right now, and that's how I
operate,
is how is going to be the end result
when I'm leaving.
That's that's my goal.
If you don't have a goal, if you don't
have a plan, if you don't have a path,
you you
your life is going to be a mess.
Nothing will work out in your life. Not
business, not relationships, not health,
not anything. You won't achieve
anything. You'll just have
failures.
Life has to be
organized.
With a place that you start, with my
destination, what are my goals, what are
the time frame for those goals. And
again, I I know a lot of it sounds
mechanic.
And I'm not giving you now a class of
how mechanically to do it.
Now I want you to understand, unless you
already know that,
that a big part of your existence, I'm
not saying necessarily the main right
now. I'm saying a very large part of
your existence boils down to if you are
you fulfilling your purpose.
And are are you refining your neshama
and your body and your mind? Are you
doing tikkun hamidot?
If we basing it on Rabbi Chaim Vital.
And by the way,
nobody disagrees with Rabbi Chaim Vital.
The statement that he says
in Shaarei Kedushah
is that the mitzvot are important,
everything is important, but your main
thing in the world that you need to
focus on is tikkun hamidot.
And you were born with a lot of anger.
You need to refine it. You were born
very quick to judge. You got to refine
it. You were born impatient. You were
born like this and you were born like
that. That's it. Everybody has bad
midot. You know how many bad midot, how
many bad characteristics there are? Hate
and jealousy and animosity and
the list
We started going through through the
list in Shaarei Kedushah. That's the
book we're learning.
Oh, the midot. You have dozens of midot
and each one will birth another one. And
of course, only you have it on on the
same on the positive side.
And just I'm saying that as a side note,
tikkun hamidot and fulfilling your
person can be done in one day or in 70
years.
All depends on yourself and depends what
Hashem wants.
So don't think that oh, I'm 60, I'm I'm
I'm uh
I'm never going to do it.
Uh Adam koneh olamo berega. A person can
do teshuvah in one one second. One
second, you do teshuvah.
So,
to conclude the class,
the classes that we we we're going to
continue we're going to continue where
we stopped. In Shaar Shaar HaGilgulim,
we're in chapter seven. What I'm going
to do when we start to go back,
I'm going to start chapter seven again
because
I doubt anybody remembers what we spoke
in chapter seven, and it's about six,
seven classes.
Uh we will learn chapter seven all over
from the beginning. I'll just do it not
as detailed till the place that we
stopped. And for the ones who will want
to go more, then they can see the class,
the classes of chapter seven. But
chapter seven, we're in the middle, so
we're going to and we didn't learn for
quite a few months.
So we're going to start we'll go back a
little bit. So you won't miss anything
if you just joining. If you want to see
all the rest of the classes, they're on
smooth.com. I recommend, of course.
But in in the learning, we're going back
to Shaar HaGilgulim, chapter seven. And
in Tomer Devorah, we're starting chapter
six, which is
uh
teaching us about gevurah.
Uh
the other classes will continue
regardless. Today, what you need to to
take from the class,
because the point is to take something
from the class.
If you sit in a class and you don't
apply something right after, then why
did you come?
I stopped giving food. Once I gave food
to bring the people. Now I stopped
people come to the food, they don't
learn. So I stopped giving food. Now
come and learn.
So if you learn, you have to do
something.
Doesn't matter right now on which level
you are because I'm I don't know who I'm
talking to.
I I'm talking to thousands of people
that I don't know who they are. I don't
know the the variety of the people who
are listening.
So I'm talking always general, just that
you understand and know.
You need to and if you are already, then
ignore what I'm saying, but you need to
come to the realization that you have a
very important purpose in this world and
every day that passes and you're not
doing it, it's a problem.
How do you find your purpose? That's not
an answer that can be given in a second
and a half. I have a few classes online,
but I can tell you that I find
the teachings of the Shaar HaGilgulim,
the gate of incarnations to narrow down
your purpose because it teaches you
you're not going to know where you came
from. Don't think that at the end of the
class
I'm going to tell you 300 years ago you
were
a fisherman in Italy. Like some people
will say here in Tzfat. I hear it all
the time. Some guy came to me, you know
so-and-so, and I said I never never
heard of her.
Some
woman, I don't know, what she tells
people their incarnations, whatever
nonsense
people fall and believe.
From the little that I know, nobody in
our generation can look at you and tell
you what your incarnation is. The only
one who was able to do that that we know
is the Arizal. So don't believe when
people come and tell you all this is
nonsense.
You know, one time I met this lady, she
looked deep into my eyes and she was
like, "You have such an old soul."
And I was like, "Really?
Does my old soul get social security? Am
I getting any type of benefits this old
soul?"
What kind of old soul you're giving me?
Old soul. What, it says 1962 on my back?
And people fall for that nons nonsense.
Old soul.
Tzfat, we got to go to Mincha.
You want to take from this class that
you do have a purpose and your purpose
is important and Hashem wants you to
find this purpose and you need to find
this purpose and you need to know and it
could be that you're fulfilling your
purpose without even knowing because
you're lucky and Hashem loves you and he
just took you down on that path.
But that has to be a very solid, strong
pillar that is standing in front of you
as a goal and not in as a goal, as a
reminder.
You wake up in the morning, sometimes
you wake up in the morning depressed,
sad, unhappy, no not motivated. Life is
hard, things fall down and don't work
out. You don't have the greatest
motivation to do things.
You wake up in the morning, you what
needs to give you motivation is that I'm
servant of Hashem and I have a goal and
I need and I have a job to do and I'm
going to do it.
And part of the job is to suffer and to
fail and to
to meet all these challenges.
So one thing that you need to put on
your list is I need to understand, know,
and pursue that I'm fulfilling my goal,
my purpose. I need to walk on the path
that I that Hashem designated for me.
How do you know that you're not walking
on your path? You have
a very annoying, miserable feeling deep
down inside of you.
I'm not going to elaborate on that.
We'll do that in another class. But you
can recognize that little feeling that
is bugging you, that's when you're not
walking on your
fulfilling your purpose. Your neshama is
poking you. How to recognize that? I I
told you, we're going to have to do a
long class explaining that. But when you
do fulfill your purpose,
you have
a feeling of
a strong feeling of of content and
happiness cuz you're doing what you're
supposed to do.
So you're more relaxed. You're more
focused on what you what what you are
doing. You have a natural happiness.
Uh
you are naturally happy.
Bad things happen, it doesn't change
your mood. There's many indicators that
will tell you where you're holding, if
you are on your purpose or not.
That's number one. Shaar HaGilgulim will
help you get to to find out their
purpose. It's not that you're going to
learn it tomorrow and the next day you
know everything. And just to make it
make it a little bit more clear, we are
in chapter seven and we went through 100
classes. There's 40 chapters.
So it's not that you learn it in two
months and you're like, "I know my
purpose." No, this will take you five
years.
But you'll slowly slowly narrow down
and eliminate the things you don't need
to that that are not have that has
nothing to do with you.
That's Shaar HaGilgulim. Tomer Devorah
will give you one of the best
methods and system how to refine
yourself.
I believe that if you
follow the rules of Tomer Devorah, the
teachings of Tomer Devorah,
and apply it,
you have the best chance of becoming an
extremely refined,
unbelievable individual if you follow
it. And by the way, this will take you
many years. I think I read Tomer Devorah
maybe 40 times.
See, it's a small book. It's not a not
that I'm that great.
But you
you need
to apply, you need to learn.
It's not a short process.
But
you want to do that.
If everything in your life is great,
then and I don't believe a very a lot of
people can raise their hand. Most people
can raise their hand for that question.
Most people will say
Unless your life is all rainbows and
colors and balloons and flowers and you
can say everything is great, then I will
tell you, "Wow, wow, you're an amazing
individual, very good chance you're
fulfilling your purpose and you really
refined yourself and you're an amazing
individual."
Most people
put on a piece of paper the good and the
bad, the bad will overpower the good and
most people will summarize their life as
That's all of us.
That means there's a lot of work to do.
And the work is I need to A, my
obligation to Hashem, I need to refine
myself.
And it all works hand in hand. If I
don't refine myself, my observation of
the mitzvot won't be won't be good.
If I only focus on
the mitzvot, then I will never refine
myself.
It has to go hand in hand. The mitzvot,
in my analogy right now, don't don't
take it as a reference. The mitzvot that
I'm talking right now is the lanes. That
you don't go out of the lane, my friend.
Cuz you're flying high. You fast. You go
out of the lane, you're going to crash.
So you don't go out of the lanes.
That's the mitzvot you need to follow.
And again, that's one approach out of
many. The mitzvot, the commandments, the
word of God, don't
don't distort what I'm saying. Take the
the example that I'm giving you.
The mitzvot, the lanes that you are
staying. Don't break the lanes. Don't go
out of the lanes. Don't cross the lanes.
Then
you have your purpose.
Which is the end result. And in the
middle you have your refinement.
Without the mitzvot and the refinement,
they go together hand in hand. You can't
do mitzvot not refined. I I know a lot
of people like that. That they do
mitzvot and they're not refined.
And the refinement can be, I'm just
giving you one example out of many. All
right, I know you might have a lot of
questions.
I see many people who pray Mincha.
They're the first one in the synagogue.
But while they're praying,
they're looking at the other men who are
praying and with thoughts of judgmental,
"Why is he moving like this?
Oh, he's making so much noise. I wish he
would Are you praying or are you
judging the entire minyan?"
And there are people like that.
They don't come to pray. They come to
pray cuz they're embarrassed for the
community to say what where were you.
Or there, let's give him the benefit of
the doubt, they do come to pray.
But their weakness, their middah, that
is not refined, is judgmental. And
instead of focusing on the praying, he's
being judgmental towards, "Why is he
sitting in my space? That's my seat.
Doesn't he know that it's my seat? I
come here 30 years."
Shut up. Pray.
Why are you judging?
So you can be very observant in the
mitzvot and no refinement in your
middot. And I gave you one example out
of many.
How about by being judgmental? How about
with being cheap and jealous? Religious
people not jealous?
So one has nothing to do with the other.
It has to go hand in hand.
No refinement, the mitzvot will be sour.
No mitzvot, you will never do any
refinement.
In order for me to walk on my path
and to fulfill my purpose, I have to do
the mitzvot and I have to refine myself.
You won't work walk on your path if you
don't have these two elements.
Because if you're not doing following
the mitzvot, then you're not connected
to Hashem. And if you don't refine
yourself,
you won't take nothing from this world.
Nothing will make sense to you if you're
not refined.
And refined, I'm not talking about
taking a napkin when you're eating and
doing
the refinement that I'm talking about.
That you put your knife and fork on the
side of the plate. This is not manner
class. That's not what I'm talking
about.
Your refinement your refinement of
character.
You take all your middot, all the bad
ones.
Your anger, you're quick to jealousy,
you're quick to judge, all these
impatient.
Out in the street, everybody's a nice
person. Next to people, I'm the nicest
person. Go to a person's in their house,
see how they behave. Outside, "How are
you?"
I'm the nicest person outside.
Go and see me in my house.
And it's everybody, by the way. I failed
to meet the people who are equal how
they behave in the house and out of the
house. No such a thing. Out of the
house, you carry yourself nice, you
speak nice, you don't answer back, you
don't you lose you use foul language,
you're not judgmental, you don't say
lashon hara. You get home, that mother
that
Listen.
I see everything.
Can't fool me.
And you know why you can't fool me? Cuz
I'm also not the same person in the
house and outside of the house.
When I'm in my house, I'm more
comfortable.
I will do things that I will never dare
do next to you.
Cuz it's not appropriate. And I'm Rabbi
Nachman. I can't say things. I can't do
things. But in my house, I'm different.
My guard is off.
Is it the right way? Is it good? No.
Be outside like you're in the inside.
Then the don't don't choose roles. In
the out in the job, I'm nice. In the
house, I'm not nice.
You have to be the same everywhere.
If you gossip in the house with your
wife,
let me say it the other way.
If you don't gossip inside with your
with in your family, then don't do it
outside. You don't do it outside.
So the refinement is not only
you know, base it's much more than that.
The tikkun hamiddot is not
something that takes you two seconds and
you're done and that's your whole life.
Your whole life you do tikkun hamiddot.
The Gaon from Vilna says that
he the Gaon from Vilna doesn't call
tikkun hamiddot, he calls it a different
way. But he says the whole thing is your
whole life.
You don't stop.
So
when you're walking on the path in this
world,
you can
you can recognize more or less where
you're holding. Right? If you can
recognize where you're holding, the
situation is very bad.
I can recognize where where I'm holding.
Doesn't mean that I'm perfect, but I can
recognize my indicators are working
well.
I can tell you now
that atzvut
misery sadness depression
can already indicate that you're not on
the right path.
And when you have excitement, happiness,
joy,
positivity,
you're
much much much closer on to your path.
Which means that if you
feel life is not going that well, most
likely you're not on the path.
When you feel life is going well, I'm
not saying that you don't have
challenges.
But you don't you're not
no energy. No, you not you're
you deal with your challenges.
But life is
but you don't have sadness or depression
or something like that or
then you're doing good. And that's one
of the many indications. We're not going
to talk about it right now. I just want
to summarize the fact that they all the
elements come together.
And that's why I started the class by
telling you that I became observant. I
was very unhappy with the situation. I
was like, "That rules rules rules rules.
That's it. I'm going to have to be like
this black and white haredi."
So I didn't like it.
I will I didn't say I'm not going to do
it.
I just said I don't like it.
But once I understood
that the occupation of an observant
individual
is not the focus on the mitzvot, is
walking on my path, fulfilling my my
role,
and refining myself, that is my job,
then it changes the picture completely.
Now the picture looks completely
different.
Imagine now, I will take you now to the
biggest dump you ever saw in your life.
30 years they didn't clean this house.
Mold everywhere.
Filthy. Disgusting.
And I tell you, "Clean this house now."
"Excuse me?"
There's not enough money in the world
for me to start cleaning this dump.
And you leave the job.
And then you figured out that the person
told you, "Clean this house
cuz I'm giving it to you."
"For free?"
And you just lost the opportunity cuz
you were too arrogant to clean some
dirt.
That's the summary of this class.
You think you're coming to clean
somebody else's dirt. It's your dirt.
And you think you're being bothered to
do something. It's all for your benefit.
You clean that house, you'll get it at
the end.
There's a story like that. I don't want
to tell the story I I got
There's a story like that. Same thing
with a king and he had a
a set of right hand and and he served
him for years and years and at some
point the king told the
the the the man told the king, "I served
you loyally for 30 40 years, whatever,
doesn't matter, it's a story. I want to
leave. I want to retire." The king says,
"No problem, no problem. I have one last
one last
request from you."
And he's like,
"Okay, yeah, yeah,
Your Your Majesty, sure."
He's like, "I want you to build me a
gorgeous, beautiful home.
I want it like this and I want it like
that and I want it like this and then uh
And the guy's like, "I wanted to retire.
You're giving me now a project to build
you now a 3-year project to build your
house?" And he's like, "Okay.
It's the king, it's my king. He was
always good to me, always provided to
me, always gave to me. Best boss ever. I
want to leave on a good note. Fine."
And he says, "It's the last project I
have. I'm going to do it the best way
possible." So, he built that house for
the king.
Everything was perfect, beautiful.
He finished this beautiful mansion
house, came to the king, says the house
is ready.
"Now, can I retire?"
The king says, "Yes, thank you for your
loyal service for so long.
And here's your retirement present. Take
the house that you just built, it's
yours."
So, that's what Hashem does.
You think that you're working for
something some somebody else. You're
working for yourself.
And you're doing a favor to anyone,
nobody's doing a favor to you. All the
hard work that you do in this world is
going to be your home.
Whatever you clean in this world,
you are going to be dwelling in that
place in eternity. You're not doing any
favors.
Nobody's forcing you to do something
that is bad for you.
But for that, you need to refine
yourself. You need to understand that
you are spiritually dirty and in many
cases and emotionally and mentally, too.
And you need to refine that. You need to
take responsibility for your actions.
It's called teshuvah. And you need to
change the wrongdoing that you did. And
Hashem says, "I will forgive any bad
thing you did if you clean yourself. You
clean yourself, I
delete the debt.
And on top of that,
you still have a purpose to do in this
world. You have a job, you have things
to do.
If you're not focused on that, life will
just pass from one Shabbat to another
Shabbat to another Shabbat. Did you
notice it's Thursday tomorrow?
It's unbelievable.
Shabbat is in 2 days. I can't believe
IT. WE JUST FINISHED SHABBAT a second
ago. I can't believe it's Wednesday.
Where did the days go?
WE'RE IN HANUKKAH SOON.
Times goes like that.
Faster than you can realize. No time
to be
in la-la land.
And I owe it to Hashem.
So, how do I do that when I was standing
in the front the the front line 20 years
ago? How do I do that?
Then Baruch Hashem, we have many books.
So, Tomer Devorah, I highly hold by that
that is one of the best systems to
refine yourself. There's other books, of
course. I'm not saying Many amazing
books. We're learning Shaarei Kedushah.
There's many amazing books, Chovot
Halevavot.
A lot of books.
Tomer Devorah is a special one.
If you need to focus on one, that will
definitely help you refine yourself and
bring you to our level
very, very high level of refinement. And
needless to say, a high level of
refinement, then you're closer to
Hashem, the mitzvot are on a different
level, everything is a different level.
That's Tomer Devorah. Shaarei Gilgulim
will help you put dots together
on which path do I need to walk on. Most
people, I look at them, they're on the
wrong path. They're 50 years old,
they're married to the wrong wife, doing
the wrong business, everything is wrong
in their life. And then they don't
understand why they're unhappy,
unhealthy, unsuccessful,
and really what it all boils down to,
very unhappy at the end of the day.
And some people deal with it with
physical things, some people turn to bad
things, but the reality is most people
in the world are unhappy. That's the
reality.
My happy-sad detector when I go in the
street is 99% on the unhappy side. Most
people are unhappy.
So, they spoil themselves with cars,
phones, handbags, and all sorts of
drugs,
whatever it is.
And if you're not into drugs, fun, and
you don't have money for fast cars and
nice clothes, then you go like this,
dreaming, dreaming all day long. Oh, I
want this, I want this, I want this, I
want that. I wish I could have this, I
wish I could have that.
Wrong again.
So,
I didn't want it to be a long class, but
it's really two classes connected, back
to back.
Two things here we want to take from
this class. A, we're starting to learn
for everyone to join us. If you're
online, you can find it on atzmut.com.
These classes don't go on YouTube, they
go on atzmut.com.
And
practically saying,
is that you need to come to the
understanding today, right now, when
you're leaving, where you're holding,
what you want to do.
You have a purpose, you know your
purpose, you think you know your
purpose, you want to know your purpose?
Do you want to fulfill them? What are
you doing? Do you think that you are at
the peak of your life or you think you
required a lot of refinement?
Just to give you perspective, I'm
observant 22 years.
I don't think that I'm even reaching 10%
of my refinement what can be done. So,
don't think you're going to do it in a
year.
20 years of hard work, I think I reached
maybe 10% from 100%. I'm hoping Hashem
will help me do it the rest till I die.
But it's not something you do overnight.
You have a bad middah, that will take
you 20 years to get rid of.
So, what I wish for you is the common
sense to
put yourself at least to the task. Most
people are not even in that level.
Most people don't even realize that they
need to refine themselves and they don't
that they have a purpose in this world.
They're just running around their tails
trying to figure out their problem how
to to to fix their problems. So, and it
all boils down to if you want to do it
in a selfish way selfish way, it all
boils down to how happy you are.
If you are extremely, extremely happy,
and it's not because you have money or
don't have money. I know people they
don't have anything and their their
level of simcha is genuine.
And and and financial loss doesn't
bother them or some argument or some
lashon doesn't bother them.
And when you're weak spiritually,
somebody will just look at you the wrong
way. Your your whole system is shaken.
And you're unhappy.
And I know a lot of people are in
denial. No, no, I'm fine. Okay, how fast
do you fall asleep?
How fast do you fall asleep? That's my
one of my gauges to how good your
neshama is doing.
Fast? Then you're doing good. I fall
asleep in a second, maybe three.
Nothing bothers me.
No conscience, no guilt. I didn't do
anything wrong.
I didn't do anything wrong. What do I be
afraid of? I didn't do anything wrong.
So, what?
So, I measure a lot of things how
you know, people who are their mind is
occupied don't fall asleep.
And when they fall asleep, now try to
wake them up.
So, there's a lot of ways to figure out
where you are. Today, you need to try to
put things in perspective and understand
that
you need to follow the Torah, that's
your guidelines. You need to refine
yourself. That's your That's a big part
of your existence. And on top of that,
you have a purpose.
And how do you find that? Not on
YouTube.
You have to learn. And our great sages
gave us amazing books to learn from that
opens up all the opportunities, explains
everything, sheds lights on the matter,
and eventually helps you put the dots
together. We're learning it not only for
the for the purpose of learning Torah.
We're learning it so I can take
something from it and apply it. And I
can tell you on myself
that from Tomer Devorah, other books,
too, but from Tomer Devorah, whatever I
learned and applied,
I saw unbelievable changes and growth
from that.
And it didn't mean doesn't mean that I
mastered it, but I had, like you and
many others, I also came to the game
with a lot of baggage.
A lot of baggage. My me with me
everything is extreme.
Anger, extreme, this, extreme,
everything was extreme.
So,
I know I look like a nice calm person,
but you're just seeing the external
part. You don't see the internal part.
You don't see the internal struggles and
the waves and the movements.
And the 20-25 years of working on the
fact I'm telling you just I said that
many times.
My friends used to call me boom piton.
Cuz boom is a punch and piton is
suddenly.
And I would talk to a person
and that person would say something I
don't like there wouldn't be even a
warning.
It would be a matter of a second and a
half that the table would be on his
head. I'm not joking. I was extremely
violent.
And when I was more and more and more it
was already with with weapons. Somebody
say something wrong it the reaction
would be very fast.
Like that. No no no no thinking.
Anger that
my RPM went high, move away.
Now
now start now contain that.
And that's one me that out of many.
So, you can look at a person and see
okay, I don't see what's going on here.
You don't see on the external part any
work internal work that is done.
You just see an end result.
And in the streets I'm nice and smiling
and in the house is where everything
comes out. So, don't judge the book by
its cover.
Oh, he's so nice. No, he's not.
He's nice to you.
So, I'm telling you that it all works
because I can look at myself 20 years
back how I was rude
disgusting, vulgar, a violent every not
a nice you wouldn't be
you wouldn't have a nice time sitting
with me. I wasn't a nice guy.
You now like me. I'm nice. I teach you
funny a little bit and
25 years ago you wouldn't like me and I
wouldn't like you probably.
Cuz I didn't like anyone.
But
I'm living proof to myself that it can
be done because when I came to the world
of the Torah I was like
Hashem knew what he's doing. He put me
in jail for 2 years to relax.
I came out of jail very relaxed.
If not I would go into any minion
somebody would talk in the middle of the
minion he would get a slap to his face.
And I had incidents when I was in the
beginning of my path.
You know you don't always you can
control yourself and my forget about the
the anger and violence. You know how
sharp my mouth was?
The poor person who would fall into my
mouth.
So, why am I saying that? Not to
degrade myself or show off that I'm that
great, rather to tell you when you
follow the teachings of the holy books
with the key that is called humility, no
humility, no success
then you become successful.
And after 10, 20, 30 times you're doing
it, it works. It works.
I don't get angry so much. I don't get
frustrated. I don't get impatient. I
don't lose my calmness. It works.
That's all I have to say. It works.
So,
do yourself a favor, do yourself a
favor, do your soul favor, get your life
in order.
Set goals.
Close goals, far away goals. What do I
want to do? What do I need to do?
Hashem, tell me what I need to do.
Tell me. I'll do it. Don't keep me in
the dark.
That's what I would scream to Hashem in
the first 10 years of my observant life.
Hashem, just tell me what to do I'll do
it.
Nothing. I didn't hear nothing.
Till I understood that if I want to hear
the instructions of Hashem
I need to refine myself.
Because if the window now is full of
mud, you won't see the lights of the day
coming into the house. You're going to
need to clean it and you can clean mud
with one strike.
You're going to put the first strike.
So, now it's muddy, but
then you take another strike. Less
muddy, you still don't see. Same thing.
You don't feel Hashem, you don't hear
Hashem, you don't listen to Hashem
because you're not refined. That's it.
And all due fear if you eat with a fork
and knife and you go like this, that
doesn't mean you're refined. That means
you have manners.
Refine is that you're refine your
attributes. You refine yourself,
suddenly you start hearing Hashem.
You refine yourself more, you start
seeing Hashem.
You refine yourself more and old man of
the door.
Then you go then you're going to do what
Hashem tells you.
Cuz you hear.
Now
it's time to do.
Our sages say my my I
our sages say the the the what's the
most important thing is is the action.
To know then to say yes yes is good. Now
has to be action.
So, we're starting with or without you.
We're continuing on to learn. You want
to join the classes are available.
Hopefully we'll refine you. You don't
then that's also good. We're going to
continue liking you too.
So, till the next week. Next week we're
going to do again and for the ones
online
it goes on let's move.com. It doesn't go
on YouTube. So, if you want to follow
you have to register to the website and
follow the classes on the website. Other
than that tomorrow night we have a class
for Rosh Chodesh 9:00 p.m. Israel time
here. And Friday is Rosh Chodesh very
special day.
Many good things
to take from that. That's why I
recommend to you can do the live class
watch the recording right after. But
Rosh Chodesh is the How do you call the
shooting that the race starts? How do
you say
p'tiha?
The
I forgot. And there's a race everybody
on your marks get set
the opening shot. That's how it's
called. You know what it's called? The
opening shot.
So, and some people start running and
some people they're still on the track.
Like
So, we did the opening shot. You just
need to come and continue the classes
and result of Hashem
I guarantee to you that you'll see great
success and benefits in your life when
you follow the this path. Result of
Hashem.
