[Music]
glad to be back in the uh States see you
guys learn with you guys a little bit
let let you know a little bit about what
happened over the last month and a half
or so
Ines and uh to try to see how we could
uh prepare for
y the um lecture tonight is called the
uh
you know about it's all about judgment
and uh the truth is that you know we
have every year and people uh go
through they uh sing the songs
with they get an idea is it
working it's working you can see uh they
uh sing the some people think it's a
song Some People realize it's a prayer
the question is how do we get into r
with the right
mindset but not just going to be change
our R sh but also change our
lives and even more so how do we make
sure that this is not just a onetime
thing where you get influenced one time
you do a few good things but then you go
back to the way you were
before so one thing I can tell you about
the trip ter Israel
is aside from the land itself M the Dust
In the Land itself is Holy um it's uh
unbelievable place and I'm not talking
about I didn't go sightseeing I didn't
go to see any type of uh uh special
things I saw the cotel uh we went to the
zoo aside from that my sightseeing was
sing speak that was my sightseeing go
see real Torah Scholars at
our you know a couple of them that uh
speak to some learn with them and uh
that was really the most extraordinary
sightseeing that I could ever uh imagine
and the reason why is because you
realize how different the world is uh in
that place versus where you're from now
when you see these people they look like
regular people and uh some of them look
like the people that you see here in
America and in other countries you know
the the uh the suits the
hats but when you speak to them all the
difference in the world is made what
they're thinking about how they live
their
life and one of the greatest things that
you can do is simply watch to talk and
try to understand what's happening there
because it's m a sight to
behold now one of the things that you'll
notice with a lot of not just today but
throughout all of the generation many of
them struggle struggle
financially this has a lot to
do with what happened the mid says
discusses it uh about what happened with
asav his Mal who fought yobu and he
despite the fact that yov won he uh he
heard him and uh that was actually say
talks about it where how this is how
there's going to be but they'll struggle
they'll struggle financially now of
course there's always exceptions RI R
AKA and uh many others were very very
wealthy but uh for the most part you see
many struggle
financially but you don't see them stop
their learning or change their learning
or complain about it all day you see
them
learn on the other hand when you go into
the world the Western
World whether a person is sitting in
Yeshiva or a person is in a or a person
is a balab works but learns a little bit
or is about chva or a
convert one thing that I've noticed and
I have a lot of experience with people
in the western world uh people in
business people in religion and so on
one of the things that you'll notice
about people is that the most common
topic of conversation is money either
the aspiration to acquire money or the
struggle because of money and all of the
difficulties that they're dealing with
because of whatever money did to them
whether good or bad money is a constant
topic of conversation how much money
does he have how much money did he made
how much did that cost how much this and
how much that and interestingly enough
when you go and you speak to
real it's it's not really the same to
say the least
they don't talk like that they don't
speak about money that way and uh quite
frankly it's they don't view it the same
way now of course you could say it's all
because of the Torah but yeah there's
Tor there's Tor you go to a Yesa you
speak to a couple of you ask them what
do you do all day they'll tell you
they're learning to you go to
a tell them what do you guys do all day
tell you they learning toah what are we
doing learn to you go uh on online all
the Facebook Warriors you know that keep
posting different uh things that they
think is good you ask them what do you
do all day says I'm learning to I'm
sharing I'm doing K I'm sharing lectures
I'm learning to I listen to five
lectures a day I'm learning
toah at the same token you say okay so
everybody's learning T but how come
there's such a difference between his
Tor and your Tor how come the second
you're missing $50 $500 $5,000 whatever
that amount is all of a sudden your mind
cannot think straight you can't look at
your wife in the face your kids are
annoying to you automatically everything
is upside down the second there's money
struggles divorce is on the line you
want to quit you want to get hired you
thinking about suicide drugs are you
know becoming interesting to you
everything in the World Turns Upside
Down the second money is a topic but
then when you go to is and you meet your
next door neighbor and they say listen
if you have any extra toys that your
kids are not playing with we more than
happy to accept them and they look they
look to you like they're the richest
people in the world you don't see poor
people with ripped clothes and somebody
begging for change no you see regular
people but they're struggling they don't
have money to buy toys for their kids or
you see another person there listen you
know if there's anything extra that
somebody can do you know we we'd be
happy to accept it because we still
haven't been able to find a way to buy
food for Shabbat so their struggle is
much more difficult than most people
most people today they complain about
the fact that they're not eating meat
every single day you know you only eat
meat once a day for seven days a week he
didn't eat twice a day in it's very
different if they eat meat once a week
it's already a big deal so you see that
the money issue is everywhere but they
treat it differently they treat it
differently one of the most common
things that happens at this time of the
year is people donate money people
donate money for religious purposes for
they buy alot if you're sapharic you buy
alot you compete with the rest of the
members in a betet who can outbid who
who can buy who which Aliyah did you get
did you get the one that has to do with
parasa is it in the morning are you
actually going to show up for the
morning or you just going to end up
buying it and giving it to somebody else
all types of interesting things and then
a bunch of guys you know sometimes they
don't want to spend the money themselves
so they team up to buy one alas you see
like 18 people to buy a single Aliah is
if that you know that actually counts
all types of interesting things happen
in a besset and that's in the Safari
World in ashkanazi world it's very
different they actually appreciate their
way much better everything is done
behind the scenes the guy just simply
shows up because he already took care of
it before he came to the BET before the
holiday even came everybody did the
donations behind the scenes whether it
was a competition or not is irrelevant
the point is is that their way is
different and you see that people donate
to theet to the ISA of course there's a
lot of different
causes the question is why does
everybody donate money especially at
this time of the year of course people
donate throughout all the whole year but
you see that this is an auspicious time
for donations and many people take
advantage of it and they donate even if
they don't even keep Shabbat even if
they don't go to besset the whole year
you'll find them in the besset on the
holidays and many times the less
religious they are the more they
donate now of course it's a problem to
give an Aliyah to the Tora to somebody
that doesn't keep Shabbat but the
there's not that many rabbis that are
willing to uh say
no you have to have a lot of in order to
know that the dollar will come with or
without the but either way the the key
is to understand that money is an issue
at this time of the year more than
others and instead of money being an
issue it really should be the N should
be an issue person should be looking at
themselves in a mirror and ask
themselves why am I this way why am I
not better than than what I am if he's
one of like one of these people that I
met one time that after he had a medical
issue I asked him uh you I told
him you'll be fine you know take care of
yourself and he looks at me funny goes
no I'm fine it's you guys said what do
you mean you guys says I I got sick
because of you guys he became a little
Jesus even though he was Jewish
rabbi thought that he got sick because
of the KA so if you're that kind of a
person then perhaps there's a different
sh for you maybe in a mental institution
but if you're a normal person and you
realize that there's more to work on you
can work on your anger on your
stinginess on your arrogance on your
whatever it is everybody's got their own
flaws their own good their own bad
anyone thinks that they're complete is
usually much less complete than they
could even imagine but the point being
is is that a person is supposed to worry
about their
where do I stand am I actually observing
all of
the said do I even know all of them can
anyone here raise their hand and say I
can name 613
mitv most people can't can you even name
the mitv that you're obligated to do
every day forget about 63 mitvah because
most of them are not relevant to most
people but can you actually name the
mitv that are relevant to you personally
every single day sometimes I ask people
what do you do after you leave the
bathroom say oh I wash my hands I said
and then what oh no you know I go back
to work about oh yeah yeah that
too so it's sometimes people you know if
you don't put a something a reminder for
them they
forget and when you come to
the you don't want to forget you because
during that time you're asking
fora if you're lonely you're asking for
a z if you're married but unhappy then
you're asking for a divorce if you're uh
if you don't have uh something you want
it you want AEM to help you
some people ask to take away things from
them some people ask to give them things
everybody asks for stuff and sometimes
people think that if I bribe AEM and I
donate to the synagogue I donate to the
Yeshiva I donate to the kiru
organization then perhaps that's going
to be the reason of why I get it because
I donate and sometimes they're sadly
disappointed because they donated and it
didn't happen in fact they got sicker or
they uh lost their job and all types of
other things so the question is why do
all of these different things happen
these are some of the things we're going
to try to
discuss in our preparation for Judgment
Day because again when you see how
people prepare for Judgment Day in and
I'm not talking about all of is because
surely There Are Places over there that
we had to go to T Aviv one time and have
to do a tun just from being on that land
because of what's happening over there m
people walking around naked I couldn't
believe it I didn't actually think that
it was that bad until I saw it and it
was really much a a a something that
tragic because you see these are your
brothers and sisters but they have no
concept that there's a God in there's a
God that's watching the country there's
a God that's watching the people there's
a reason why they're even in the world
of course you're always going to find
religious people everywhere in Tel Aviv
and yam in other places you're going to
find also secular people everywhere
you're going to find secular people in B
and and everywhere but I'm not talking
about the the the exception or I'm
talking about just the mentality the
environment the air you see that there's
an extraordinary amount of Kusa in some
places and an extraordinary amount of
Tuma in other
places and really the only difference
between the two is the amount of Torah
that's being taught and the amount of
Torah that's being learned in the place
that's the only difference between the
two now the same concept goes with here
in America or if you're watching in
Australia or England or any other
country in the world the difference
between your community and a that has a
lot of Kusa in it is simply the amount
of Torah that's there there are some
people that tell me listen this is the
best year of my life I have you know
good K I have a good this and a good
that but that's usually a few far in
between usually most people come to me
with complaints one person told me that
they uh their Kaa decided to have an
event what's the event they invited a
Muslim IM to speak to the Jewish people
of the community a Muslim IM there's no
more rabbis in the world they had to go
find a Muslim IM to go speak to some
terrorist is going to come both
spiritually and physically he's going to
speak to the Jewish community in theet
other people they're bringing priests
like Goldberg over there they're they've
taught the rest of the world that you're
allowed to bring priests and pastors and
all types of missionaries to synagogues
that's that has already become some of
of a standard when people didn't want to
fight for it now you see it happening in
many but it other people are bringing
homosexuals to to explain to people how
you could be yourself even though you're
not yourself and you could be a guy even
though you really were born a girl and
all types of stupid things like the
stuff that's happening in New York
people showed me this video of some uh
some guy that's teaching but he looks
like a girl and they fired him and they
hired him and all types of I I just
don't understand how did you hire this
thing who hired this person you know R
Charles a blind person who who hired
this person how did you not know this is
a guy but again the question is
what happened before in that Yesa that
allowed the Gates of
Heaven to just say you know what let
them inherit this to into Yesa what
happened in that Yeshiva because in sham
there's a bed and the bed of shamim has
to decide allowed not allowed go no go
am I going to allow this place to get
hurt am I going to allow this place to
be protected one thing or the other what
happened there before this thing
happened before this public
embarrassment happened what happened I
can tell you what happened the little
bit that I know it's a place that
shouldn't even exist according to Al
they call themselves a Yesa but boys and
girls and all types of immodesty and
immorality runs a rampant over there so
a place that not only allows but even
promotes all the things that are against
the Torah but yet calls themselves
Yeshiva similar to Yeshiva University
that even the court of theim declare
them as a non-religious organization
what did you expect or when you have the
the the new king of England telling the
head Rabbi of England listen you have to
go home it's Shabbat soon the has to
REM has to remind the rabbi Shabbat he
go no no don't worry about it I'll wait
with everybody
else he's not worried about Shabbat he's
not worried about the King of Kings he's
worried about the king of a few days
before the guy goes to like like his sh
where he's going
there's two there the good one and the
bad one anyway it's important for us to
know
that self accounting is something that
every single person has to do every
single institution has to do because
that's the primary part of the job of
what we're supposed to do at this time
of the year
the gave an analogy and he said that
life
is like a deer that's running into the
forest now deers if you ever saw one we
went to the zoo in they have a beautiful
zoo over there it's huge you need like a
half a day or a day to actually see the
whole thing or simply for the place to
be empty but it's a huge place and they
in essence are trying to portray all the
different animals that were in Noah
Noah's Ark of course it's not all of
them but nonetheless it's a beautiful
place very big very realistic
and when you see there's different types
of deer and they have these huge
horns and some of them they make sounds
they sound like tigers but it's really a
deer now if a Tiger shows up that deer
is not going to look like it's not going
to sound like a tiger anymore he's going
to sound more like a mouse he's going to
run into the woods him and his big
beautiful
horns and what is number one job run
into the woods as fast as possible now
there's a problem
the bigger the horns the more the
obstacle why cuz the horns can get
caught up into some tree or a branch or
some
Bush so while they were beautiful while
he was trying to find a new wife now
when he's running away from a tiger or
he's running away from a lion or he's
running away from something else it's
not so uh important to have these horns
in fact if he could just completely take
them off throw them in the garbage it
would be better for him why cuz then he
could just
fly through the woods no one can ever
catch him so really what ends up
happening this beautiful horns end up
being almost like an impediment
something that's like holding him back
but they're beautiful yeah but now my
life is on the line the Sab
says life is just like this a person is
like a deer and his character traits the
bad ones are like the horns they look
beautiful looks beautiful like he's a
macho guy he's an arrogant guy he even
won a president election in some uh
country or some place or some school and
he has all these different attributes
that some people are demy even though
they should frown upon them and the
reality is that when a push comes to
shove and he's going to have to be
judged in a bed of sham whether it's
going to be at the time he dies or at
the time of mashia or it's going to be
at the time of where he's pleading
for please give me the doctor just
called and they said they found
something in my hip please Hashem make
it
nothing make it nothing or when he asked
please they just fired me from the job I
was making $300,000 a year I lived a
life of $400,000 a year now I don't even
have the $300,000 a year and I don't
even know what to tell my wife because
she already lives like it's $800,000 a
year Hashem give me some other type of
job even though it's a recession even
though it's a possible depression
please help me and he's pleading with
and pleading with please help me here
please help me there and the says what
about those horns what about those bad
mid when asked you to be generous but
you decided to be stingy when asked you
to quiet that tiger inside you stop
pretending like you're a tiger you're
really a deer but you decide to pretend
like you're a tiger when you yell to
your wife and your kids and your
co-workers and your customers
and your competition and some guy in
traffic that you don't even know and you
simply decided that you want to call him
all types of names and even remind him
of his mother and his grandmother what
about those character traits that you
have those beautiful horns that you
thought they were beautiful what about
those things during the day of judgment
that's when it
matters it may not matter on a day-to-
day for an average person an average
person especially if they are already
used to a certain way of life whether it
be success or otherwise they get
accustomed to their Char character
traits they you know they're just angry
that's the way I am stingy that's the
way I am uh arrogant that's the way I am
doesn't have any patience that's the way
I am they get accustomed to it when do
they realize it was a mistake to get
accustomed to it when do they realize it
was a mistake to lose inm to to have no
faith in hem when push comes to shove
and they're being judged how do they
know they're being judged because times
are rough right now the world is
transforming the financial situation in
the world is very very shaky a lot of
people have lost some money over the
last year or so but if this is the end
that this is the be not even the
beginning if this is the end then this
recession that started in the decline of
certain things by 20 or so percent is
not even the beginning it's going to get
much much worse I don't know if this is
the end or not all I do know is that
people some people feel like it's the
end why because their Bitcoin dropped
80% or because some other stupid
investment that they made you know
people realized it was stupid like they
were the last guy holding the bag that
was full of nothing and they're they're
upset that no one wants to buite it from
them so the reality is is that the world
is transforming there are over 27
countries countries we're not even
talking about companies 27 countries
that are on the verge of bankruptcy
they're going to default within the next
12 months or less countries are not
going to have to pay their
bills the crisis in Ukraine and Russia
is much bigger than you can possibly
imagine why because at any given moment
it can turn into a World War if Russia
does something or America does something
or China does something or anybody else
does something could simply decide to
press the button and it becomes a
nuclear war it's not just some average
war between the uh the the Shiites and
the and the uh and and their uh brothers
that they hate the sunn
it's not like the the war between Korea
South Korea and North Korea no this is
much much
bigger who's putting everything on the
line the financial are on the line some
people are still making money some
people are losing money but overall
everybody still has you know food to
eat but you see that there's literally a
crisis around the corner and no one has
a clue what to do with it some people
say no it's going to be okay some people
no it's not going to be okay I just
don't know when it's not going to be
okay there are certain currencies that
have been devalued to such an extent
that people that were multi-billionaires
literally have $10
left they had so much money they didn't
know what to do with it but the currency
dropped in value to such an extent it
became worse than toilet paper there are
countries out there where they literally
have taken the currency taken the bills
and have throwing them in the garbage
there's nothing you can do with it it's
not even worth the paper that it's
on but these are countries that have a
messed huge amount of wealth in the past
but decided that time has ended for them
so when a person does some self-
accounting and he looks at the world
around him and then he also realizes
okay so financially not so
secure and then he also realize wait a
minute there's a guy in a Kila where is
he and he finds out the guy died when
did he did he die oh he died last month
he died last week he died yesterday he
died six months ago how did he die
Corona aneurism cancer there's no
shortage of reasons for
death thear says there's over 900 ways
to
die and unfortunately one of the
downsides of being in this uh in this
field of dealing with the public is that
you get to know a lot of people and
unfortunately you get to know a lot of
people that die one of our very very
dear friends and partner
she was an extraordinary woman did a lot
of literally her whole life was just we
lost her in the last month she had
cancer six years ago no one knew and uh
it went put it on break so we could do
some more together feed tens of
thousands of people together she would
literally distribute it to all parts of
the country do all types of things
amazing things you know and it came back
it came back just a few months ago
within a matter of a few weeks
she was gone all we could do in the
interim is pray send some stuff to the
house beds wheelchairs all types of
things to make the pain you know a
little a little easier make it less less
painful no one actually thought you was
going to die I figured you know okay
this is a temporary shakeup why because
she was so
enthusiastic that she was already
talking about oh yeah we're going to do
a huge you know food distribution for my
and she was already getting ready she's
in bed dying no but she's already
getting ready that she's going to
distribute more food to the
community and then she's
gone and if that's not enough there's
unfortunately other people that we know
that have passed away some from cancer
some from other
reasons so the more a person looks
around and sees the world around him
sees the world around her they realize
okay so even life is not promised to us
no one is guaranteed even tomorrow
I can tell you personally that there are
many times where I think I'm going to
die not because I think of any other
reason other than the fact that just a
simple
reality simple reality of how you feel a
simple reality of certain circumstances
that are happening in your
life and the only thing you can think of
during that time is not how much money
you have in the bank and not did I call
my best friend oh did I have enough fun
in my life the only thing you can think
if you have a brain in your mind is what
am I going to tell my maker when I see
him what do I have to offer what am I
going to say what what could I possibly
say that I did in this world he gave me
an x amount of years what can I what did
I bring home what did I bring
home this is one of the most important
thoughts that a person needs to have why
Judgment Day is literally a week away
less and
during says the entire
world goes in a row single file Row in
front of a in front of a who like sheep
you know when they the the guys that are
transferring tens of thousands of sheep
from one place to another in the
beginning you see it's huge amounts
looks like uh pce of land is
moving but then when they want to H them
and put them into a ranch into a place
what do they do single
files tiny little door one in at a time
one in at a
time the
says
on has every single creature Jew or G
Gentile come in front of him and he has
to
judge is this person going to live for
another year or not is this person going
to have money or not is he going to
profit or lose get married get divorced
have kids lose
kids be healthy get sick all of those
things are going to be decided literally
in a matter of a few days and the more a
person
realizes what's on the line the more
they understand maybe I do need to look
in the mirror a little more often and
start preparing myself
to what have I achieved in my
life so a woman can say well I had kids
good for you you had kids but is it good
for the world that you had kids if you
brought four Hitlers into the world it
was better off you didn't bring
anybody but if your kids know a little
bit of Tor they know you have they have
a fear of the almighty they're good to
people they're nice to people they're
kind they're they're not a disaster a
tragedy a hazard to society then yeah
you had kids but if your kids are simply
causing harm to the world around them it
was better off you didn't bring those
kids and guess what the difference
between Hitler and a sadik is how much T
he's going to learn why because that t
is the only tool that's going to make
him into what he is going to be if he
has the tat he can be a sadik if he
doesn't have a Torah there's no doubt
that he will be a rash why there is no
way to be a righteous person without
having the manual from
a now you can say yeah but other
religions have a manual sure let's see
what their people did over the
years you have the manual of the
Christians that have murdered more
people than all of society put together
over the last 100 years in the name of
their religion in the name of their
false
god when you have the Muslims they say
yeah we teach ethics yes you teach
ethics but unfortunately you're not
ethnical yourself and your leaders are
not ethnical because they're Mass
murderers today the past the pro the and
the
future there's a reason there's a
prophecy where says he's going to punish
these people he's not going to punish
the righteous nodes he's not going to
punish the righteous Jews but he will
punish the wicked people whether they're
Jews or Gentiles the difference between
Wicked and not who listen to the Torah
if you created your own man
certainly you're not listening to you're
contradicting
the so a person that looks into where
they stand and say wait a minute I'm not
promised tomorrow at all live or die but
most people don't really like to think
about things like this it's very morbid
people get depressed about it they don't
want to think about dying they don't
want to think about getting sick yeah
but your brother is sick your cousin is
sick your uncle is sick somebody you
know is sick yeah yeah but let's not
talk about it oh so we pretend he's
healthy there's a reason why the at the
end of the
says the greatest of doctors goes
to what all the doctors in the room
getting scared what do you mean the best
doctor goes to G yeah that's what the
says why would the best doctor go to Gom
is that the best doctor that he has a
special skill and he's the best spinal
surgeon no no no the best doctor where
he thinks he has more Mercy than God
he has a patience in front of
him and he knows the patient is sick he
checked he looks at the test the guy's
terminal cancer the guy's Corona virus
the guy has Pikachu whatever he has he
has something and he knows the guy's in
bad shape but you know the guy is Happy
why he just got married he's young he's
healthy he feels healthy he's telling
them about the vacation he's going with
his new wife they're going to go bike
riding and mountain climbing and all
types of things and going to go on
vacation for 6 months cuz I made a bunch
of money on Wall Street and da da da and
he's excited about it and the doctor
knows he's not going to live six weeks
what six months but what I'm going to
tell him the do think I'm going to tell
him that I'm going to ruin his no I
don't want to if I tell him he's say why
you so scary
doctor why you being so scary why you
being so negative so you know what I
tell him oh I checked everything's good
enjoy your
vacation the said say that doctor he
goes to G home
why why don't you tell the patient the
truth yeah but then I'll make him upset
it's better he's upset and knows the
truth and he can prepare for it than
live a
lie the ra says the that speak to the
public and tell them the truth despite
how much it
hurts they are the spiritual
doctors those doctors are what we need
in the world but unfortunately as times
get more and more difficult the
addictions to money and otherwise get
greater and greater and the truth is
more and more
lost so those
doctors are very few and far in between
very hard to find
them so a person has to do what a lot of
people in the medical world what are
most people do when they feel a little
itch a little pain a little headache
some bump whatever the first thing that
90% of society at least in America first
thing they
do Dr
Google self
diagnose WebMD Google whatever you go on
whatever whatever your preference is I
have a pain in my left
side and then there's other applications
okay what color hair do you have what
color eyes do you what did you do last
week and they ask you a bunch of
questions so then you think oh since I
can ask all these questions probably
what the doctor's doing you start self
diagnosing oh yeah I happened to have a
one big toe and I happen to have one
black eye and I happen to have this by
the time you say oh that it's just a
toothache yeah but my foot hurts because
of a toothache he's not the show but
somehow he's like oh you know what I'm
fine he self diagnosed himself he feels
fine I don't need to go to the
doctor now when it comes to Medicine I
wouldn't necessarily recommend this self
diagnosing but when it comes to
spirituality you don't really have
another
choice you have to self
diagnose you have to self diagnose and
check to see where you you stand there's
an instruction set that it's called the
Torah and the Torah tells you that
you're obligated to do certain things
there are certain things that are
obvious and there are certain things
that perhaps are not so
obvious you have to learn them you have
to know what it says not just the
stories but also the Commandments the
obligations
theim spent everything they possibly
could all of their energy their
resources to try to identify who they
really are and where they stand during
this time of the Year many of them took
more and more on themselves because they
wanted to perfect themselves because
they knew that the day will come and
they're going to have to meet their
maker and they have to
report what have we
done now the
gar talks about a lot of different
things one of the things that the garah
brings is what do you do during
Desperate
Times Desperate times person has
Financial issues person
has a health issues all types of
issues now we know that there's a famous
midash mid Zuta in a uh of quet in the
fifth par
6 and this mid says the very famous
thing that probably every single one of
you have heard at some point
that
prayer chuva repentance and staka
charity make the evil decree
pass so the first question we have to
ask
ourselves this is good it's good we know
that if you do chuva if you give Stu to
the right place not to some church
or place that looks like a synagogue but
is really a
church if you pray you do chv you give
that could make whatever difficulty you
have in your life
pass difficulty in pregnancy difficulty
in raising kids difficult financially
difficult healthwise whatever difficulty
you have these are three secrets that
kazal gave us that can make the evil
decree
pass
great but then we have to ask
ourselves why does it
say that the evil decree will
pass why doesn't it say it ends
it there an evil
decree just lost half of his money just
got
sick wife wants to divorce him husband
found a new girlfriend whatever happened
horrible things if I do these few things
why doesn't it make that evil decree
just end why does it say pass so some
say because if a person really does
these three things the right way Hashem
gives him a double reward what's the
double reward he makes the evil decree
go from him to his
enemies so he gets the extra benefit of
seeing his enemy
suffer but then we thought about a
different hos is walking in the streets
with his few of his
students and all of a sudden there's a
huge cobra
snake something enormous something like
out of the movies not that you guys ever
watched any
movies but one of these huge snakes
passes by this next almost have a heart
attack this thing might as well be in
anakanda huge
sees the
snake pass
them and calls the snake
stop you Pastor she stop
stop snake listens
stops turns
around of is says where you
going the snake
says I'm going to kill such such
person from there we learn that either
the snake spoke like the original
serpent or that since was one of the
great they knew 70 languages which
included the language of the
animals but also means that there
students
understood either way he tells I'm going
to kill such and such some
Jew says no you can't go
there no no
I have a decree from
sh I have a decree from sh that I'm
allowed to go kill him says no no we
just came from his house he did cha now
have to kill
him so snake has to listen to the and he
goes
away they continue walking walking
walking all of a sudden they he
screams you know like somebody died
everybody's hysterical
so they go and see it and they see the
snake
leaving he just killed
somebody who did he
kill some
thief some guy that was a
thief said I don't say I thought you
said to the to the snake that he's not
allowed to kill there a
decree says to
them I didn't tell him he's not alled to
kill I told him he's not let to kill
that Jew because that Jew did Chua yeah
but then he ended up killing another
person of course he's going to kill
another person why the bullet was
already fired in sham the decree was
already passed in sham it has to go
somewhere there's no such thing as it
just goes
away a decree was made you changed
yourself last minute you did Chua you
did you gave you did that those things
last minute
okay so it's going to go somewhere else
but it has to go
somewhere so it went to the appropriate
place which is that guy that was a
thief so from there we
learn that there are plenty of evil
decrees in the world that are very very
obvious to us every other day anyone
that monitors the news or simply talks
to people because that's what people
like to talk about there's no end to the
bad news so there are a lot of evil
decrees in the world
question is what can we do about
them so one of the things that you'll
notice if any of you are clever enough
to take advantage of this opportunity of
me telling you that you should go out
and buy this book it's called the altar
of nardu go to artscroll.com or Amazon
or any of these websites and you buy
this book a few things you going to
learn from this book number one you
learn that you have nothing to complain
about I don't care what you're going
through
through once you read this book you'll
never complain again if you do you
probably should go to some mental
institution because whatever life you
have it's
roses next to what they lived and this
is not a thousand years ago 2,000 years
ago 100 years ago this is Grandparents
some people parents
even now
these were theim of the Sab naok the
alar of naok
they suffered through a time of World
War I the the disaster of what happened
in Russia over there communism World War
II literally there was not a minute of
Peace starvation was
normal not eating for 3 Days wasn't
because they were fasting because they
were trying to perfect themselves they
simply didn't have
food so imagine you don't eat for one
day oh yum yeah it's tough what if you
don't eat for two days no Rabbi I'll die
what about three
days can anybody really do that Rabbi
yes could do even for
longer but it's much worse if you do it
because you have no
choice anyone that saw any of the films
or pictures of the people of the
Holocaust you could only imagine how
long these people didn't eat
the
Nazis very smart people knew exactly
what it took simply to allow them to
survive on the least
amount now these
sikim in Russia and
Poland were
fleeing from place to place Crossing
Borders putting their lives on the line
every single day why because they will
learn learning T you weren't allowed to
learn Tor you weren't allowed to teach
Tor yes were being burned rabbis were
being arrested or killed or sent to
Siberia which might as well be a death
penalty just
slower horrible things were
happening much of the the the crime
wasn't just from the gim there was a a
sect of Jews called Yia communist Jews
that made it their life mission
to go and kill religious Jews especially
rabbis and
these caused an extraordinary amount of
damage to the Jewish World scared
students scared rabbis scared everybody
were being closed down either because
there was no money to run them there was
no money to feed the people or simply
they were just killing people in the
streets just because they were learning
toah but then there was the
sa who was opening yes during this
time everyone is closing down their yes
he open 70 more 70 yes during a time
people are literally running away from
the from the from theet they're hiding
that they're even Jewish he's opening
yes he's sending his to more places
there's another street over there
there's another uh community over there
go up another
as things got
worse they continued opening
more he was doing something that was
literally the opposite of
normal after he passed he went
TOA his students
continued unlike other leaders that left
the world and left a complete disaster
behind them
his students were all leaders and they
all went and opened up more yes hundreds
of yes were opened during a time of War
during the time of pilgrims inquisitions
during the time of disaster
starvation they didn't have food to eat
didn't have clothes to wear nothing they
had to flee from country to Country why
they opena they do whatever they can
they learn non-stop but then the police
comes or somebody comes they have to
leave right now there's no time oh let
me get some money together
nothing Goa okay can I have some money
no there's no money okay can I have
money Le for the train no there's no
money for the train either but B you'll
succeed no money for the train no food
to take no money for go open a month
later a new is is
opened how wanted let to happen but the
the sacrifice these people made during
this time if you read some of these
stories of how much they suffered but
for one thing that you're never going to
see in this book is anyone giving up
onah they learned so much toah day and
night that you literally could not take
them away from it at times when soldiers
of the ofia the Communists would come to
try to arrest them to try to do
something they talk to them and some of
these je sexia became huge rabbis
one of the biggest rabbis that was a
of was a
soldier and these
people were willing to give up
everything why for another five minutes
of
Torah somebody came to one of the big at
that time and told him yeah but they
teach too much M over there they don't
learn enough
to if the rashash says get out of my
Yeshiva you don't belong here anymore so
why I like the Yeshiva I'm in I'm
telling you there Yesa is not good he
goes no no no you don't understand if
you don't understand that what the M
that the is teaching is unlike anything
else in the world that no one in the
world can do what he does you don't
belong in Maya even though we don't do
what he does it's not because we don't
want to we
can't but you speak against it
many people think of the as some
grandfather that said I love you to
everybody in his younger years he would
teach people M and fear of Heaven fear
of constantly talk about Gom constantly
talk about why you need to be afraid of
a
the in this that and the himself
suffered so
much but you're never going to hear a
single complaint from either one of them
why because they knew they were here in
this world temporarily to complete a
mission and everything has a
reason so
the says something
unusual something that really is against
logic page
63a in the name of
he says in a time of those who Gather in
meaning when the sages of that time are
not teaching Torah either because
there's pilgrims inquisitions or
whatever other horrible things happen in
the world throughout history and people
are not teaching tah you go and
distribute your wisdom you go
teach but in a time where those are
Distributing the wisdom you gather yours
in here hak the famous
hak says something that's really against
logic says if nobody if none of the big
rabis are teaching you go
teach and if they are teaching go back
and learn for
yourself you would think it's the
opposite if they're not teaching they're
the big rabbis they're the they must
have good reason what I'm going to go
against the
rabbis and if they're teaching then
perhaps people want more to us so maybe
that's where I could throw my head in
and I could teach
also if there was a lot of sh so I
should also do a sh but if nobody's
doing a shi why should I do a shi and
spend all this money to arrange the
place and put it and decorate it and do
all these different things why should I
do any of
that nobody else is doing it so I should
also stay home relax enjoy myself hang
out with my my kids learn Tora become R
AKA I don't know do something good why
do I have to do all this when nobody
else is doing it that's the
logic is the
opposite if they're not teaching you go
teach if they are teaching you go
learn
okay we don't understand yet but we do
see
that that's exactly what they did so
they must have a
reason page
7A says there's a
p in the
tanak in the seph chapter 1 verse
12 and a couple of said that
were and Ri Ra
Andi so they know who who said this with
it same or the other but they say
there's a
p in a Tora inph that says thus says
AEM though they are united and likewise
many even so they shall be Shor off and
it shall pass away you read this whether
in English or in Hebrew you have no idea
what's going
on that there are many
they're
United even though they're United and
there's many they they'll be Shor off
and then they'll should pass what does
it mean that's what we
need
say this is what it
means if a person sees that his
Provisions his P his money his bank
account his stock account his Bitcoin
account whatever money he has whatever
gold he has whatever diamonds he has all
that stuff he sees that money go down
he sees that his portfolio laws 30 40 50
60 90% of his money not good
right so the logic is you just lost 90%
of your money what did you do logic
is protect take the less 10% put it in
some
safe then put that safe in another safe
and if you could afford to buy a third
safe get a third safe put the two safes
in that one safe why because there's
probably some Mal some somebody that's
here to take your money so hopefully he
won't take the last 10% until he passes
right that's what you would think
logically you lost 90% of your money you
don't have money to to do anything you
could barely make ends meat you could
barely have food for the week for
Shabbat you lost so much money so what
you should do protect what you have
that's the logic don't say that
though don't agree with
you the common logic which is what I
just said is the opposite of what
said what the say say if a person sees
that his Provisions are
measured exactly to his needs meaning he
barely has enough to finish the week
very little he has he should nonetheless
take from them and give
staka what do you mean I just lost 90%
of my money you want me to give staka
now logic says what does everybody tell
me Rabbi If I Had a Million Dollars I'm
giving you half a million Rabbi if I win
the lot I'm giving you 90% of it I don't
need that money Rabbi if I had this and
if I had that if I win this and I get
this I'm giving everything
away okay what do you have now no I
don't have that much well I'm going
donate only $100 $500 can you possibly
do with $500 not $5 $10 what could you
possibly do I'm not even going to
donate they figured so little I
shouldn't even do
anything truth is if they had they also
wouldn't do
anything they wouldn't do anything
either
way why because first and
foremost giving has nothing to do with
the
quantity when you give of
yourself because you want to
give you don't think about oh I'm only
going to give of myself because I have a
lot no I'm going to give myself because
cuz I care about something I want to
whether it's a lot or a little it's what
I have but at least I'm trying that's
why every single organization on planet
Earth that collects charity the
overwhelming majority of their donations
what's paying their bills is coming from
people that are middle lower class
closer to lower class than middle poor
people donate a lot more money than rich
people percentage wise and generally
speaking they also donate more
frequently rich people they have to be
in a
mood they have to get a certain amount
of respect certain amount of time
certain amount of
attention everything is like a menu you
order in the restaurant if everything
fits they'll pay if it doesn't fit all
of a sudden they're not
hungry so a person thinks well if I had
a lot then I would donate a lot if I
have a little donate little I won't
donate nothing right I keep it I'm
losing M says the opposite
say if a person sees that his needs
are they've gone lower he's he's losing
money literally he could barely finish
the
week that's the time you should givea
that's the time you lost 30% of your
portfolio in the last couple of months
right now is the time to give
staka you lost 50% even more so you lost
90% even more so why it doesn't make any
sense logically if you came to me when I
was still on Wall Street you told me
this advice I tell you listen you should
go to a new Financial School learn about
Finance because everything you're saying
is against the logic and against every
Financial book in the history of mankind
it doesn't make any sense you losing and
now you're going to give charity
why you make a lot you
give and the truth is the explains it
further it says
there's benefits there's benefits to
giving what are the benefits of giving
says what do we learn from this verse
says this verse says that you should
give and if you
give then it they shall be Shor off and
they shall pass away so is says whoever
she
ISS some of his possessions and devotes
it to takaka is is saved from the
Judgment of
Gom and he says it's like an analogy
where there was two
sheep walking walking walking and then
they see is a river and the river is
running you know it's like one of those
rivers that right around the corner
there's a
waterfall so the river is running fast
but they want to get to the other
side so what are we going to do we can't
jump over it got to go walk through it
says one of the sheep the wool was Shor
off you know his balab the owner took
his wool made it into a sweater the
other guy ran away before they took off
his wool but they both went into the
river is says the one without the wool
the one that Shore off his wool he made
it to the other
side the one with the wool didn't make
it to the other side he says that's like
a person that gave staka a person that
gave takaka that took off from
his took off from his before the
Judgment day before the big
day he's going to make it to the other
side why he took the necessary
step so now we know it's good to give
but we still don't have an explanation
of why it's good to give after I lost
you could say it's good to give so it's
instead of going again home
fantastic now of course it's not just
give and continue being a continue being
a continue going with continue e no no
you can't just give and buy yourself
into you have to do CH that's why it
says is what's going to make the the
decree go away you have to do all three
can't just do one of them I say I just
give a million dollars I can just
continue driving on Shabbat and EA Pig
for lunch no you have to do complete
Chua the question
is not about whether it's good or not to
give we know it's good to give it's good
to give the more you give the more you
feel you
have and now you're telling me that me
giving is also going to take away some
of the crimes that I made and I won't
have to go to gay on for them
fantastic but I still don't understand
why it's good to give after I
lost I still don't understand why it's
good to go teach when the big rabbis are
not
teaching I still don't understand that
you have I don't know 50 100 200 sit
here South Florida full of Jews full of
how many of them actually have like
this if you can count it and complete a
single hand I'll give you a
cookie most people if they go to beess
at all during the week they go they pray
they
leave maybe there's a the rabbi is there
so people sit down with them eat some
cookies listen to what he has to say
talk between each
other how many serious that are actually
inspiring the community to get better
very very few and even if there is it's
not
often how many of them are inviting
strong speakers to come speak to very
very few if
ever
why ask them why what we're asking today
our suya is why is it that we have to
teach we have to set this up we have to
do all of these different things when
nobody else is doing why is it that when
we lose money we have to go give staka
shouldn't it be the opposite logic says
it
does and if you ask this question of
why then you're in good
company because one of the
greatest in
history also asked the same
question why did the sages teach us that
we should teach and we should give after
a big loss
he writes it in a couple of
his
in and also
inph excuse
me and he says even
further he
says what is the logic behind saying to
give money thear
says when a person is barely making ends
meat are the Torah sages here to abuse
people
isn't it enough that the people are
lacking the basic needs and barely have
what to eat now they're expected to give
staka from the little that they have
left to live off of and leave themselves
with nothing to live
on this is really what we were
thinking what are these sages these
trying to be
vicious if you told me make money give
money obvious okay person thank you very
much for telling me but it's it's common
sense you're tell me the opposite you're
tell me after I lost
give says what here to abuse us are the
here to make things more difficult for
us he has the answer to
though and the answer is
extraordinary anyone that pays attention
to this answer and knows how to apply it
to their life I guarantee that your next
year will not be the same like any other
year of your
life your life will never be the
same
says the Torah is teaching us the right
path of God may his name be
blessed when a person puts his
confidence in anything that he's
benefiting from this world he's showing
as if this thing has the power to do the
will of God may he be blessed and from
that point
on this causes the Heavenly
sustenance that's coming from that thing
to
stop meaning that the minute you
think the
president the bank account your friend
your boss your stock portfolio your job
your wife your kids your neighbor your
associate your lawyer your accountant
whatever it is the second you think
that's the Salvation that's where it's
coming from the lawyer is going to save
me my boss is going to save me my
partner is going to save me my bank
account's going to save me my this is
going to save me that's the Salvation
the second you do that
the Salvation will no longer come from
there
why why is that the case because the
second the person thinks that the money
the friend the president the the boss
whoever whatever it is that thing has
power to bring you salvation of God that
second the real salvation from God stops
coming from that
thing and this is what I learned from my
rebi the who was the tal the number one
talid of the
bov who commented on the p in the Book
of Genesis seph chapter
36:
32-39 where repeats the
words several times you see meaning he
became king and he died became king died
became king
died there's seven verses over here
constantly talks about this guy became
king then he died this guy became king
then he died this guy became king then
he died so
the
Tau what this means what does it mean
why doesm tell us about all these kings
that were Kings and then died and kings
that they died what can we learn from
this he says because a person that puts
his his confidence into
something is actually making that thing
a king over
himself you think that your bank account
your lawyer your doctor your wife your
husband your kids your boss your job
your intellect your whatever is going to
be the
Salvation you've made that thing into a
king over you you've crowned that thing
over
yourself your God is now the money the
job the wife the kids the Investment
Portfolio the IRS the banks whatever it
is that you give confidence to and
thereby the the confidence in hasem is
lost because you put your confidence in
something else you put your confidence
in your bank account you put your
confidence in your boss you put your
confidence in your car and your
intellect and whatever it is that you
put your confidence in because oh I I
have the money to buy so that's what's
going to help me that second that second
that you think oh that's what's going to
help
you the the the confidence the faith
that you have in hem disappeared why
because you're now your confidence your
faith is not in hm anymore it's in his
check that you just got it's in his bank
account it's in his stock that you just
picked it's in the
boss it's in whatever it is that you are
you think that's where the Salvation is
coming from
so the is lost and
therefore the that gave that person from
that thing is taken away from him and
this is why it
says that it will die you made a crown
you made it a crown like a king and
therefore he died you made this Tak into
a king So killed
it only put in
alone and double check your actions that
you don't put any faith in anything else
as if it has powers of hashem's
Salvation And if a person thinks this
way then he will connect everything
that's around them to the Creator and
therefore the sages teach us that when a
person sees that his money Provisions
are measured they're going down like it
says in
the page 7A
the right step is to givea at that time
because sharing in generosity of the
heart show that the person doesn't have
any faith in the money itself but rather
in so you see the sages are telling you
listen the reason why you lost the money
is not because it's a bad
investment the reason why you don't have
enough money to make ends meat is not
because you have a bad job
it's because you put your confidence in
something other than
God so God took away the money from that
thing now you want to show God that you
did CH the little that you have givea
why because once
you I changed I'm a whole changed person
you took away 99% of what I have I have
$5,000
left I'm giving it to a
against the better judgment of Wall
Street against the better judgment of
every Finance book known to
man against my own logic against
everything I'm giving it away whyem I
want to show you I know the money is not
going to save me only you will save me
and it's actually a person I know that
did exactly
that and the beautiful thing is when a
person does something like that
he will see or she will see changes in
their life that are beyond the
imagination because once a person crowns
God as his
King nothing can ever get in between
them but so long as a person has a
crown on his bank account on his boss on
his supervisor on something else
says he doesn't even know I
exist so he has to remind the
person hey it's me I'm here I'm your ABA
I'm your king I'm your somebody pay
attention to me oh you're not paying
attention Okay let me take away that
thing that you're paying attention to
what that King that bank account let me
take that away that motorcycle let me
take it away that car let me take it
away whatever you made King I'm going to
take it away well I'm going to kill all
those kings Until you realize I'm the
only real
king so the sages what are they teaching
us you want to
show who the king is that's what you do
show I don't have any other kings I have
you that's all I
have so while it's against logic that's
only the logic of flesh and
blood when a person uses the logic of
the
sages he realizes that this is the logic
of a himself
and when a person turns
money into an objective rather than a
tool this is
exactly a person says I want to get this
job I want to be a lawyer I want to be a
doctor why do you want to be a lawyer
why do you want to be a doctor do you
have any particular interest in case law
do you do you have any interest in
medicine no no I just want to make a lot
of money oh so you don't actually care
if you're going to be a doctor or a
lawyer you're going to win cases kill
people lose it doesn't make a difference
you just want to make a lot of money so
money is your
god that's who has the
crown you're in
danger unfortunately the vast majority
of people when they look at what they
want to do with their life they're
looking at it from a monetary
perspective it's not that they want to
do something because they have an
interest in that something is they just
want the outcome of it it they want the
money that they assume they're going to
get if they do
XYZ and they turn money into this is the
objective of life this is the purpose of
life they lose themselves they forget
their days they forget their nice they
forget their family they forget their
kids they forget everything because they
think that as long as they don't have
enough money they don't have enough life
and they don't realize that what ends up
happening is they lose Life as a result
of it because they've crowned a foreign
God and they've turned money into a king
and that's why
says you made it into a
king I'm going to have to kill
it
now this is why the sages
say that anyone that kisses up to to
Wicked people ends up in their hands
when I told you earlier today that there
are
many that are going to raise a lot of
money during this time of the
year and so on people donate a lot of
money one of the biggest problems that
many of the kot face is that there's a
lot of new faces during this time of the
year that show up to the sh and many
times those people don't keep Shabbat
don't keep MIT but they have some of the
tradition and they do exactly like we
did for most of our life they go to SCH
during the holidays and they want to
feel like they're part of the K they
also want to show people that they're
successful and they donate money now if
they simply donated the money and stayed
seated that would be perfectly
fine but the problem is that many times
they're buying alot of the Tor and if
they're one of the primary people that's
going up to the Torah and they're not
keeping Shabbat you're not allowed to
give
them if they say kadish you're not all
to say Amen if Shabbat says kadish
you're not allowed to say
Amen because according to according to
rat Chapter
30 is considered an idol
worshiper says a person like that says a
you're not allowed to say Amen that amen
that you're saying is a
sin so when these people go up to the
Tor and they make a blessing on behalf
of the community behalf of the K that
they are up at
no one's allowed to say am
in but how you going to tell the guy
you're not allowed to have alah he just
paid 10 20 30 50 $100,000 for it so
unless the rabbi is a real hero a
real he's letting everybody up oh go up
next next next as long as the check
clears so it's a very serious
problem and many times people know in
the community that this guy donates said
he's a
and they still don't care why because
they want the money and that's why the
outcome of many of those K is usually
not very good many people in the
community become less observant over
time not more observant the respect for
the rabbi deteriorates over time not
increases the money is not used for good
purposes it's wasted much of the time
meaning that while people try to justify
taking the money for the better good it
ends up being for the worse of the
community for the worse of the rabbi for
the worst of everybody and even for the
worst of the person that donated it
because the person that donated if
anybody thinks that a person that's
donating money is going to get rewarded
for it you have no concept of what Tora
is that person that's donating the money
will get punished with his
money he will get punished for that Stu
he will not he will not get rewarded for
it unless he does Chu if he does Chua
he'll get rewarded for it if he doesn't
do Chua he'll get punished for that for
that
money and this is one of the things that
people don't have a concept of until you
read the beautiful words of
the I had the Merit to learn a little
bit
of in the of last week anyone that wants
to look into it is more than welcome to
because once you lurk once you look at
this you can never look at the toora the
same
way because if he said what he wrote in
any betet
today they throw him
out but this is he's one of only a
handful of people in history that's
called
a says something there's no debate
there's no
debate in last week's par everyone that
read it
read about all of the curses the
horrible things that happen to people
that go against
Hashem all these horrible
things person that goes against the T
person that commits all types of crimes
horrible
things but in the section of the
blessings in the beginning of
the that's where
comments and he says the following in
beginning of
the in chapter
26 it
says
says that you shall take of the first of
every fruit fruit of the ground that you
bring from your land that Hashem your
God gives you and you shall put it in a
basket and you shall go to the place
that Hashem your God will choose to rest
his name there meaning if you're
righteous you follow all the Torah
you'll have benefit you'll have fruits
you have this you'll have that and
you'll in essence be like a person
walking around you'll have this basket
you'll be able to bring it to the BET
mikdash as one of the
sacrifices so on this word b the basket
oh
comments when it
says and you shall put it in a
basket it's hinting that in order for
one's MIT to be accepted in
sh all the good deeds that he performed
must be in accordance with the words of
the
sages as it says in chapter 17: 11 of
this par of this Torah that according to
the teachings that they shall teach you
and according to to the judgments that
they shall say to you
is that's how shall you
do now the sages explain their teachings
and laws in 60 tractates of the mishna
and
the which is the same as the numerical
value of the word ten
basket thus the phrase and you shall put
it in a basket is teaching us that the
mitv that a person brings with him to
the upper world must follow the dictates
of the oral law for otherwise even if a
person does all of the mitv in this
world he does all of the mitv not not
doesn't do we're in a section of
blessings even if a person does all of
the mitv in this world they will not be
accepted rather he will be burned in G
with the mitv that he performed unlike
the teachings of the sages it will all
go to waste meaning a person that simply
thinks I'm going to do the way I
understand them I'm going to live life
to the best of my
abilities says everything you're doing
if it's not the way that the sages
taught it you'll get punished with all
of them you'll get burned with all of
them meaning don't think that just
because you're trying you know to the
best of your abilities today not really
that it's enough it's not enough and in
fact some of the say why does the
mention the 60 tractates of the and Mish
they said because he has to learn all of
them in order to know how to
do now your average person is not even
learning and if he learns it's he learns
a and if he learns a little bit more
maybe he's
learning and we started a program in
during the last event that we said
listen we want people to complete the
shots in a single
year and people think we're looking for
geniuses no we're just looking for
people that have a few hours a day to
learn serious toah a few people that
could put their phone away the TV away
the distractions away for several hours
a day you complete the in a single
year person says yeah listen my Russa
doesn't agree with that it's too fast
it's too this it's to that okay so
you'll finish the sh and G maybe you'll
never finish
it and one of the wars that we have is
with people that think it's just either
not possible or it's not good to do it
all types of other things because there
is a different way that they think is
better where they learn instead of the
entire sh in one year maybe one an
entire year meaning that by the time
they finish the sh it's going to be the
year
177,000 so a person doesn't think what I
have to finish the
sh
least thing no I'll be jew I'll keep
Shabbat I won't kill anybody I'll give
some stocka it's enough it's not enough
is a very very big obligation now of
course is not looking to prosecute
against his kids everybody has to be at
their level but don't think that you're
allowed to stay and remain at the same
level for the rest of your life just
like a baby is cute when he starts
walking and he falls on his tushi anyone
that hasn't had a kid the first time you
see this it's literally the greatest
reason in the world to live to see a
cute little kid stand up for the first
time take one step and fall It's the
funniest cutest thing in the
world especially when it's you're a kid
cuz you're just excited you stood up you
thought the kid's never going to get up
and now he's up and even took a step and
he fell it's so funny it's so cute right
now a little time passes maybe a week a
month whatever it is depending on how
fast he or she develops it's more than a
step 2 3 4 5 10 15 Steps then they fall
and it's still really cute you know when
it's not cute if he's 20 years old and
he's still falling because that means
he's drunk he's high he's a loser
there's something
wrong it's not normal for him to fall
for no
reason there's nothing cute about it so
you see if you're just starting out you
just started keeping Shabbat you just
started protecting your breed you just
left your Goya boyfriend or girlfriend
or boyfriend or whatever it is whatever
you are whatever it is it doesn't make a
difference about where you're supposed
to be it's where you need to be right
now you need to start keeping
stuff you need to start keeping as much
as you can now start keeping Shabbat
start learning a little bit of time I
started with 15 minutes a day little by
little got more but you got to keep
growing you can't stay a baby forever
you have to understand that if you're
alive that means Hashem wants more from
you you're not alive because you
fulfilled your obligation and Hashem
just likes to have you parked in this
world you're here because you still have
a debt to pay
and if you're not growing you're not
living so yeah it may seem like a lot
for some people oh to finish the Shas I
don't even know what theas is how could
I finish something I don't know what it
is and then once I show them all the
books I tell them there's 60 of these
books like wait you want me to read all
that stuff or is there like a video I
could watch I could just summarize
everything is there like a sh for
dummies is that like a short version
maybe like a one minute clip that I
could watch with some like you know like
bombs and stuff going
music you know like your movies Rabbi
you know you make like the shot in a
movie what I have to learn all that
stuff in the beginning you can't even
get your head around it what do you mean
I have to finish all that thing I
remember one time I was in in New York
and I was talking to some guy that I
knew from childhood this kid uh this
guy's 40 something years old now he not
a
kid his name was
Jonathan and he came by and he saw the
books and the book that he saw was my
Kash
and he picked it up he
goes you you read
this I said yeah go really like the
whole
thing I said you're supposed to read at
least once a year goes no no really
really you actually read this thing like
he couldn't get his head around that I
actually read a book and a bunch of
times like it's just it's just not fa
fathomable why it's just too
big it's too big but the truth is all of
you have to read this at least once a
year at least once a year and Truth is
at least twice because it's really three
times per
year says you have to read the weekly
par twice and once with commentary that
means each week you have to read the par
three
times that means you have to finish this
book three times a
year and once you've done that a few
times it's not enough have to read
some some some other commentary
the list goes on and on and on but in
the beginning oh take it easy just
finish the par once keep Shabbat don't
kill anybody stop
stealing so don't think about oh this is
too big for me no one's expecting you to
finish everything
today but at the same
token stop fooling yourself into
thinking you're doing
enough if you're going to show up at the
Judgment Day in a few days from now and
think I'm doing good why I just donated
6 12 15 $50,000 whatever it is I'm good
you're
dreaming the goal of a Jew and needless
to say the goal of a human being is to
continue serving his creator even more
every day hence the reason why K is
leaving you in this world now if you
don't get the point then aadh has to
tell you and since you're not mosu or or
even the dust under their feet and
neither am I is not going to speak to
you in simple language he's going to
speak to you in other ways the bank
account goes down the marriage goes down
the problems go up that's how he
speaks and
say why is he speaking to me through
this way
says he speaks to you in those ways
because those are the ways that you need
to fix meaning if you have a pain in
your arm it's because you made a sin
with your arm if you have a pain in your
head that means because you made a sin
with your head if you may if you have a
pain in your pocket because you lost
money that means because you made a sin
with
money whatever pain you have that's
where the sin is that's what you have to
fix don't think listen I lost money
because I don't think I was really nice
to my wife although that may hurt your
marriage and you may end up losing half
your money or more it's not the reason
why took the money right
now perhaps think a little closer to
money maybe you're spending wrongly
you're doing this you're doing that
think about why give you money in the
first
place so a person has to think wait why
do I have a headache what do you spend
your head doing what what do you spend
what do you spend what's on your mind if
you have spam in your mind you have uh
pornography in your mind you have filth
in your mind you're lucky you still have
a
head oh why does my arm hurt what do you
do with your arm did you steal did you
hit somebody what do you do with your
arm so anytime a
person has any type of
pain gives us a secret that's exactly
what you have to fix that's what you
have to
fix that's what you have to fix this by
the way is a side note is why sexually
transmitted
diseases ran rampant during the
1980s but today the most horrific thing
in the world is cancer in the same
reproductive
areas breast cancer and cancer in in the
area of reproduction is the most common
form of cancer for both males and
females and it's also the most lethal
why virtually you won't find a single
one of them didn't sin with that part of
their
body and I don't mean just sin once in
their life I mean on a daily
basis and that's the reason why made
that particular part of the
body caused so much anguish to the world
it's not because he wants to bring
anguish to the world is because he's
trying to tell people that's what you
have to
fix stop being so promiscuous stop
acting like some zoo
animal but unfortunately people are not
getting the
message and the leaders are not telling
them the message either because they
don't know or they're scared of
them and people continue to lose family
members friends and all types of
possessions without a clue of why and
what to do about
it this is one of the greatest things
that aadh gave us
R
sh because R is a time where it's in
essence a
reminder that you are responsible for
you and you have to fix
you and if you look at the real you and
not the you that people see and not the
you that's in your imagination but the
real you and who you are in comparison
to what wants sure early you will find
something to
fix and if you
take this into your
life start working on it you'll see
changes but always remember that yes
it's good to give Saka it's good to do a
lot of good things but don't turn any of
that into a new
God staka is a tool that's part of chuva
and
prayer prayer is a tool that's part of
the set that comes with chuva and
staka
chuva cannot be completed if you're not
charitable both with your prayers as
well as with youra meaning it all comes
together as long as a person is too
stingy to give from himself they haven't
started to get to where they need to be
as far as their
chuva but at the same token a person
needs to know that one of those things
is not
enough so this time of the year is a
time where a person needs to reflect
where am I going with this life what is
my point why am I
here where will I be 10 years from
now and don't start telling me no I'm
going to be a doctor I'm going to be a
lawyer I'm going to be an astronaut I'm
going to be an alien I'm going to be a
YouTuber these are things that first of
all not within your control and two
they're not really you they're just
something you
do and the things you do change over
time when you're young you think that
whatever you're going to get into is
going to be where you're going to end up
you think that if you're going to start
being a doctor you'll be a doctor when
you're 80 years old you start as a wall
streer you'll be a wall streer when
you're 100 years old not only assuming
that the career you started and what you
learned in college is what you're going
to end up doing
but also assuming you have such a long
life and the longer you live the more
you realize how diluted you were when
you were 20 years
old your career changed your aspirations
changed nine out of 10 times you're not
even using all the things that you
learned in school and you ended up doing
something completely
different and more times than not life
is very very different than you thought
it
was so a person has to use as an
opportunity to reflect on his or her
life to check their own pulse their own
spiritual pulse where do I
stand and if I continue this path will I
improve or deteriorate over
time did my lack of observing Shabbat
and kosher help me in my life or hurt
me did my stealing in business help me
in Life or hurt me did my being you know
dishonest to My Wife and Kids help me or
hurt me did all of the things that
Hashem says is
bad did they help me or hurt
me some people say I was born homosexual
so that's why I'm this way yeah but God
says it's not allowed yeah but God
created me this
way he created you with a brain he
created you with eyes he created you
with a lot of different
things he created you with certain
hormones he created you with desires
just because you have all of those
things doesn't mean that they they have
to go you have to use them against God
you have to learn how to control
yourself and a person that thinks that
they're allowed to do whatever they want
because they have a certain
desire the difference between them and
an animal in the zoo in Israel or
America is zero in fact the animal is
usually more
obedient so a person needs to know that
all of those desires all of those
deformities that we have
spiritually are things that a person
needs to learn how to
fix and yes it takes time and effort and
but that's what it matters that's why
you're here that's why the Sab
said that a person needs to know that
those
pretty horns that the deer
has end up becoming a burden more than
anything
else and if a person doesn't see it as a
burden he thinks that this type of Life
of
promiscuity of freefor all type of
mentality is good just give that person
time and they'll end up living a life
full of
regret you see all of these people that
allow themselves to do whatever they
want whether they're in Hollywood or in
a business world one after another you
see each one of them fall into a light
full of Crisis so they may have money or
fame or whatever it is but many times
when you actually learn about their life
no one wants their
life who wants the life of a person that
became famous due to their promiscuity
being shown un
films the kids come home to say hello to
their mother with their friends and the
friend says wait I think I saw your mom
in a film who wants
that who wants to who wants to have such
a
life who wants such a life where a
person made money in a dishonest
way and one day his daughter wants to
get married to somebody and the parents
meet each other and wait the parents
like wait a minute your father looks
familiar to me oh wait you stole my
money who wants that life who wants that
life at some point or another a
make sure that whatever evil a person
did in his life that's against the Torah
has to be exposed to
society so it looks like they're winning
in the
beginning cuz they have the fast cars
and the house and the fame and whatever
comes with
evil but push comes to shove the bill
has to get
paid the decree is passed the Cobra
comes he has to kill
somebody and although a person never
thinks it's them because last time it
wasn't them it wasn't because it wasn't
you weren't guilty it just wasn't your
turn so a smart
person sees life sees what will be born
out of it these actions what is he doing
what will come out of it right now he's
cheating in business what's will come
out of it oh no I'm going to stop
cheating I'm going to stop selling uh
Coke or whatever uh fenol or all types
of other filth and poison that people
are selling to society
today I was going to make some money and
then I'm going to go into a legit
business you think is going to let that
happen is going to let you murder a
bunch of people steal from a bunch of
people ruin a bunch of people's lives
and you're just going to have a Rosy
life what kind of God do you believe in
a
puppy it doesn't work that way you can't
just ruin people's lives and is going to
let you go to heaven doesn't work that
way he's a righteous
God righteous God means he delivers
punishment that's what it
means so a person has to understand that
whatever you're doing if you really
think about it what's going to come out
of it if it's not the will of God 10 out
of 10 times bad will come out of
it it's just a matter of
time so this is why I recommend to
everybody over these next few
days spend some time reflecting where
you stand with everything that you're
doing the marriage that you're in how
you are a parent how you are a husband
or a wife how you are an employee or a
boss how you are a member of the
community how you a member of as a son
or a daughter of God where you stand
with everything start looking at things
where can I improve stuff pick the easy
stuff don't pick the hard stuff yet
start with easy stuff what can you do
now right
away and hold on to it and keep going
and then build on top of that don't go
and climb Mount Everest
tomorrow it's too
big start somewhere start with something
small build from there but keep going
don't stay a baby next year too meaning
the next
time you're at r
if Hashem allows that to happen don't be
the same version of you then that you
are
now be a completely different person now
you're going to need as many tools as
possible to help fuel
that that's where
CH and come
in you
see chuva is an ongoing everyday uh
process
is something we're obligated to do every
day as
well is as often as
possible if you're giving the kind that
doesn't hurt you're not giving
enough it's supposed to hurt it's
supposed to bankrupt you but it's
supposed to hurt cuz you're supposed to
be giving something of yourself like
someone is donating a kid
it's not a pleasing process but the
outcome is someone else has a
life so now a person says listen can I
just start with just learning the weekly
par and learning sh yes you
can but don't think for a moment it's
enough it's good for now it's not enough
you still have to make up for the stuff
that you're missing not in the future
now meaning that if you can't learn
all the Torah that you're supposed to
learn you have to pay for it you have to
do something about
it if you could give money to an to help
him learn that will help you in fact the
says that a person that invested money
in people that are learning T whatever
they learn is what he's going to know
in so a person could literally complete
the sh a thousand times a year a million
times a year if you simply invest into
it
same thing with mitv sometimes
people say listen I don't have the
opportunity to do all of these mitv I
either don't know him yet or I haven't
learned about him yet or I haven't
gotten a chance to do it
yet this is why you have to invest into
kiru because you may be able to do a
certain amount of mitv a certain amount
of blessings every single day but if you
have another 10 20 50 100 people that
have done cha because of the money that
you donated
that all of their mitv all of their
learning all of what they do goes to
your account
too so a person sees wait a minute maybe
by myself I can't do everything that I'm
responsible for today and maybe ever but
I could still do it I can still fulfill
it by using the other tools that hasm
gave
me but as long as a person thinks that
they're here to acquire
stuff they're never going to get to that
point they're never going to get to the
point of thinking clearly of what their
responsibility is in this
world
now the last thing I want to tell
you is
that whenever a
person hears
speeches typically the speeches that you
hear today are feel-good
speeches you hear somebody the goost to
inspire you to either stay the same or
that you're a wonderful person or or
there's a little bit more mental
stimulation rarely will you come out of
a
speech realizing that you have a lot of
work to do to fix yourself but that's
the goal of today's speech that's really
supposed to be the goal of every single
speech that you're supposed to learn
you're supposed to leave that
shield with a acknowledgment that you
have more to
do anytime you hear somebody telling you
that you're perfectly fine run
away
why because they're trying to kill
you now in the business world no one
goes to a business meeting or a business
speech just to hear that they're
perfectly fine you know they have these
commercials
online and uh there's a famous speaker
Tony Robbins he's very famous people
love him even though he's a missionary
in disguise
and a lot of people go to his speeches
and he made a fortune doing it and he's
a good
speaker and also a good
businessman but one thing that you'll
see is that he doesn't tell anybody that
they're perfectly
fine in fact he tells everybody that
they have to do more and he tries to
empower them to do
more he doesn't tell anybody that
they're perfectly fine the way they are
just stay the same you're good you're
perfect you're doing
enough the goal of spending 51 $20,000
to go to one of his events is to go hear
that you're not good certainly not good
enough but you can
be and that's the same thing with any
other speaker motivator business topic
you go to continuing education seminars
for for for law for for medicine for uh
Securities as far as Investments
what are they teaching you new stuff so
not supposed to be the same stuff that
you already know no one is supposed to
tell you listen come here just fill up
you know make the CH chair warm and
because you're perfectly fine already
you're supposed to continue growing and
it's
acceptable and in fact if you go to an
event especially if you have to fly and
spend a lot of time and money to do it
and you don't learn anything you don't
gain anything from it you're going to be
the most unhappy customer in the world
why cuz I only came here because I want
to
grow only in the world world of Tora has
the fooled Society to think that you're
not supposed to grow as a result of a
sh where in fact this is the only place
you're supposed to grow you're supposed
to listen to every single sheld and at
the end of that sh at the end of that
lecture that speech you are supposed to
not just gain knowledge not just gain
motivation and inspiration but also gain
an understanding and a clarification
that you are not doing enough and you
must do more not you should do more you
must do more that is the point of every
single but unfortunately
the has fooled Society into thinking
that if the speaker is a strong speaker
don't listen to him go listen to some
puppy some Care Bear that's going to
tell you that you're perfectly fine you
are just a righteous person and God
loves you
anyway the truth is the opposite and
I'll give you two
proofs one from the toah one from the
sages and then we'll finish the night
and you guys could ask me as many
questions as you
want if you were perfectly
fine and there will be no issue
whatsoever in telling you that you're
perfectly
fine how could the Torah tell us about
all of these punishments happening to
the people that have forsaken the fear
of
God anytime that the Torah says
forsaking God not being close enough to
God not believing in God Uno says that
is simply
lowering fear of Heaven to the point of
non-existence where a person doesn't
have fear of heaven doesn't have fear of
God so much
so that the Torah itself
says in last
week's in 28 verse
translation and it will be that just as
Hashem rejoiced over you to benefit you
and multiply you so Hashem will cause
them to Rejoice over you and to make you
perish and to destroy you and you will
be torn from upon the ground which you
have entered which you enter to take
possession of
it here the Torah tells us if a person
goes against God our nation goes against
God just like Hashem celebrated and
rejoiced with our forefathers that
they're the greatest they're the best
they're amazing their
righteous Hashem will cause the Nations
to Rejoice over the destru C of the
people because that's a
punishment but Rashi says Ando says the
same thing if you actually look at the
verses it doesn't say that if you look
at the actual verse it says it doesn't
say that the Nations Will Rejoice over
our
destruction it actually says that God
will rejoice over our
destruction God will be happy over
destroying his own kids
how can you be perfectly fine and yet
God has a verse in the Torah where he
says I will dance around because I'm
hurting
you explain obviously God loves us why
would he be happy to destroy us says
because just like rejoicing over their
mitv is good for them punishing them is
also good for
them it's all for the the greater good
that's beyond our
comprehension the point being is that
does not want to Rejoice us that want to
destroy
usom but he has so many threats here in
his Torah that in this week's he says
that anyone does not
take heart does not do
chba and simply
says or even thinks in his heart
peace will be with me when I go as I
dictate by the sentiment of my
heart meaning he sees people are dying
from some plague Corona cancer whatever
it is he sees people are getting
divorced he sees people
are
suffering he hears a sh it says you have
to do CH and he says to himself nah all
those punishments are not going to
happen to
me I'm good
this week's
says will not forgive that person and in
fact Ono
says all of his unintentional sins turn
into intentional sins meaning all the
things that Hashem was originally going
to just simply Let It Go or minor you
know minor
punishment now they turn into the worst
sins that exist why
you don't care about yourself you don't
care about your own why should hm care
about
it so Hashem did not write
this for people that are
illiterate Hashem did not write this for
people that don't want to do that don't
want the Torah or people that just want
the Torah he wrote it for
everybody and he wrote it for us to
learn it but unfortunately today many
times when a person listens to a shoe on
online or in person he's not going to
hear many of these things he's going to
many times he going to skip this
part and people prefer that type of
speech they
prefer or at least they think they
prefer someone that's going to speak
kindly and tell them that they're
perfectly fine not just today throughout
all of
history in peric gim the third peric the
fourth Al
a story about two great rabbis that
eventually combin into a single
event
R was
theor and the rabbi of a place called
Tori one one
day there is a uh plague Corona virus
people are dying in the streets
all over the place except the people
that are close
to wherever he's in his in his
neighborhood no one's dying but the city
people are dying
everywhere so they come
to what kind of sadik are
you what you're righteousness only
protects the people that are living in
your community rest of us are dying over
here
calls the entire city come we have a
speech a
shoe we to address this
complaint complain about the sadik
complain about the big Rabbi have to
address
this says to the people all of them are
in front of him countless
people he says at the time of
mosenu there was one rash named z
one
Zim yet that Zim's action of going with
that
Goya caused 24,000 Jews to die and
nearly the entire nation was
killed and even though they had
mosenu that wasn't enough to protect
them from that one
Z he says here in this crowd look how
many
we have how many of you are married to
non-jews how many of you are cheating on
your wives how many of you are violating
Shabbat how many of you are stealing in
your business how many of you are going
against and you have the audacity to
complain that you don't have
protection mosu couldn't protect one
against one rash look how many rash are
here they didn't like that
speech a short while later in a
different city
north over there they had a
different anyone that heard
my most of the information
comes he was best friend with and the
both of them there was a friends of his
so in his
place there was a drought no
rain people came to the
sadik please it hasn't rained in a long
time without food
crops oh okay sure sure he prayed
moments later it started
raining so the people from Tori the
heard about this oh we like this
Rabbi look at that he's not like our
Rabbi the people came to
him moments later it started raining
prayed for them started raining we came
to a rabba what did he do he yelled at
us told us because we're married to
non-jews because we eat non koser no no
let's bring this other Raba he's much
better for us look he Makes Miracles he
makes rain come down how come over here
it hasn't rained over here either so
they invite
him and even says yeah yeah boy you want
to bring sure you think he's going to
help you come come
so they
come and both
and start taking on themselves fasting
and suffering for the benefit of the
community and praying for
them what
happens nothing no
rain
both come out and they say to all
everybody over there
say you
see and R came and prayed and fasted and
nothing
happened why
because he's not the one that controls
the rain he do not the one that decides
if it's going to rain or it's not going
to rain
and is not the one that decides to stop
the
rain because we both did everything and
nothing happened hasm doesn't want it
why why hasm doesn't want it how come it
worked over there what all of his
spiritual energy was wasted in his town
he can't have it over
here no it's because the people in the
north have a soft heart they heard his
words of M he told him they have to do
chuva they said okay we're sorry Rabbi
we'll do chuva we'll start fixing we'll
start keeping we'll start doing
everything as soon as saw oh look at
that they're doing it they're listening
to the let's bring them rain but the
people
ofori you have hearts of stone I told
you guys words of Tor nothing change you
complained instead of that why do you
think should give you
rain so you
see a person needs to understand there's
a lot of good things that you can do but
you have to start somewhere the first
step is to be realistic with where you
stand wherever you stand needs to be
improved if you're learning 2 hours
Learn 4 hours if you're learning 15
minutes learn 30 minutes if you are
praying uh you know short prayer Pray
the long prayer if you're not keeping
start keeping whatever you're doing do
more and remember that just like the
baby in the
back will see him grow we'll see her
grow next
year and be walking and running around
and causing more acute noise
also wants to see us
grow wants to see us grow too don't stay
a
baby each and every single one of us
will have enough
strength enough willpower and enough
desire to do the will of hem starting
now with that being said anyone ask
questions
everybody's mute today okay but say
though I think I give you guys enough
material to chew over if anyone wants uh
anything personal anything I'm going to
be over here we'll finish for tonight
but I'll be here to answer any issues
personal issues blessings whatever it is
thank you again for coming each and
every one of you will have a sh sh for
anyone that is looking for a place to
invest their spiritual money the money
that's actually going to be there in we
have a campaign online bh.org that's our
R campaign we also have a y campaign the
point of the campaign is to help people
that are starving either spiritually or
physically we have 3,000 people that
signed up in for us to help them 3,000
families for us to help them uh
financially in our recent event so we
need a lot of money to do that anyone
that wants to be involved can help uh
also we have to help a lot of people
just like you and me and everybody else
that needs to learn more Tor so those
that campaign is for those two purposes
yes you have a question what the that
book oh this is the altar of novardok
alar of what alter of Nook I'll let you
see it when you come in a second alter
of Nook it's a relatively new book they
have it in Hebrew they're in English
it's a very very good book uh I I used
to recommend and I still recommend
uh a book called to remain a Jew which
is a life story of Rabbi zilber this
book is in essence
like a 100
times that same book because Rabbi zil's
book was about his personal life and his
personal experience this is the
experience of like many people and much
more detail even in certain cases so
it's both of them are extraordinary
everybody should read both books but any
time I find something good that I know
is relevant to everybody
I recommend it and this is a very very
good book it has simply a a uh a reality
that's very different than our life
today especially people that are living
here in America or in the West in
general it's uh it's a very very
different reality but uh I'm not wishing
anyone bad or or or looking for bad to
happen but quite frankly this is the
past but it also looks like the
future so it's good for people to know
that they uh what's expected of them and
uh what life can be like because there's
a lot of wonderful things that hasm is
giving us right now you know he's giving
us freedom he's giving us uh you know
access to information he's giving us a
lot of things and if a person knows how
to appreciate the gifts that hasm gave
him uh then certainly they're going to
live a better life for it
yes why do we say
it uh the during
during right before this is the the last
it's done in in actually not and the
reason why it's done in it's a uh first
of all the the the uh the V itself is
the longest vid of the year it's a very
long
vdu and the majority of uh this Vu which
is in essence saying I'm sorry for all
types of crimes the majority of those
crimes that are mentioned are sex
crimes uh you know people that are you
know person that did all types of things
that are not allowed according to the
Torah wasting seed cheating lying uh
beastiality homosexuality and so on and
so forth incest so this V is something
that every Jew has to say uh and it's a
very very long one and you know a person
would think that the person that wrote
it was like the biggest rash in the
world like what is he what is he saying
but in reality if a person understood
the magnitude of of of the Holiness of
not only but also of this V of this how
much is in
it it's very very important to have a
lot of kav and the reason why the sages
instituted for this to be done
during is uh due to the fact that uh
number one m is the uh use the a very
very big time to pray this we learned
that fromi when he had the whole uh
battle against he prayed
to the the famous part in uh in the T
during uh there's a special Gate of
Heaven that's open during that time for
prayer but the second reason is more
logistically that a lot of people during
uh yum Kip don't show up to aess in the
morning so because the wanted to make
sure that everybody does this V they
made sure to put it in the afternoon and
even late afternoon because that's
usually when everybody's there because
this is a very very important uh part of
uh of chuva is to First and foremost
understand that you have to uh recognize
sins for what they are and two say I'm
sorry uh and uh I would highly recommend
that people study that VII even before
the holidays because you'll see that
there's a lot of things that in there
that some people don't even realize the
sins that people are doing so it's a
good V to say the least yeah anything
else so
um when you you said
uh we should think about where we should
be 10 years from now okay how should one
start that without having to put like
successful all these other things kind
of divert to where would I be in Tor to
make to make
goals if a person learns tah the more T
they learn
the more they realize what's in their
control and what's not in their control
most people think the opposite of the
truth naturally meaning they think that
their
material uh possessions and aspirations
and goals are in their hands but their
spiritual aspirations and goals are not
in their hands this is exactly the
opposite of the truth whatever material
whatever amount of money you are going
to have is not in your control in any
way shape or form Hashem will decide to
give you or not to give you whether you
are selling shoes or phones or cars or
you are a doctor or a lawyer or you
clean carpets or you make build cameras
or you cut hair or you make dog food it
doesn't really make a difference if
hashm wants to make you successful he
will make you successful if he wants to
make you fail he will make you fail if
he wants to make you into a billionaire
that goes broke he'll do that if he
wants to make you a poor person that's
homeless that becomes a billionaire he
can do that your material aspirations
have nothing to do with your profession
or your ability it has to do with
whether hem decides to do that or not
now you can influence that not because
of your efforts but rather because of
your spirituality your spirituality on
the other ends as far as how you serve
AEM how committed you are to his Torah
how much you learn that is within your
control so when people make their life
go
what do they do typically do I want to
have a house in such and such
neighborhood I want the house to have
certain amount of bedrooms I want to
have such and such car I want to have X
amount of kids I want to have this wife
or that husband and all these material
possessions that actually are not in
their control they're not in their it's
not in your control if you're going to
have enough money to buy this house that
you want to buy it's not in your control
to have this company who knows if your
company's still going to be in business
by then who knows if it's not going to
be obsolete who knows if the government
doesn't shut it down who knows if the
building doesn't fall apart and get
burned who knows all these things you
don't know that stuff so to make all of
these aspirations these checklist goal
list all types of you know fantasy list
of all the stuff that you want to have
in the future it's like people that plan
about what they're going to do with the
winnings of theato before they bought a
ticket it's the stupidest Endeavor in
the world you don't even have the ticket
and you're already thinking about how
you going to spend the winning lotto
numbers like it's the dumbest thing in
the world it doesn't make any sense
whatsoever at least have the ticket in
your hand then you can say oh if I win
then I'm going to buy this I'm buy that
I'm going to give this I'm going to give
that and all that doesn't pan out
because you're don't going to win but
anyway even if you do you're not going
to do what you say you're going to do
because you forgot it either way to make
these lists of all the stuff that you
want the building the house the car the
money the the wife the kids all that
stuff it's not in your hands anyway so
the plan for it is stupid it's simply a
waste of time on the other hand if you
spend your time doing something like
what's in your hands what's in your
hands which is how you're going to live
your
life then that's something that's
worthwhile why it's in your hands to
decide what time to wake up in the
morning that's in your hands you can
decide to wake up early or be a loser
and wake up at 12 you can decide you can
decide whether you're going to be loyal
to your husband or wife or not to be
loyal that you can decide if you look at
everything that walks like some type of
uh water Fountain then surely your
marriage will go into the garbage it's
just a matter of time if you watch
television you watch pornography you
watch all types of shows that show
immodesty and prostitution you will
become part of that so your marriage and
your life is going to go to the garbage
but if you protect your eyes protect
your body you don't go to certain places
like people go then you are deciding to
do that one woman told me listen how do
I convince my boyfriend not to go to
clubs anymore do you know what the
answer is
leave him that's how you convince him
because he's not a boyfriend he's a rent
a car today you're renting him tomorrow
someone else is renting him if he goes
to clubs for any reason he has multiple
wives he just calls them
girlfriends no one goes to clubs because
of the
music no one goes to clubs because they
like to see their friends they're
looking for someone to have fun with if
you think he's loyal to you and he still
goes to these clubs you need
help so if you want to have a husband
your husband cannot go to these clubs
your husband cannot go to these uh you
know card games and all types of things
now if you want to be that husband
that's in your control that's in your
control you can decide to go or not to
go to these places to play or not to
play you could decide that's in your
hands that's in your
hands same concept with someone that
finds themselves being angry or stingy
or arrogant or or impatient or uh overly
nervous or overly anxious and all types
of things those things are within your
control so you can decide to work on
those things and say from now on I'm
going to wake up at early hours why
because I know that if I wake up early I
achieve more during that day I now from
now on I'm going to go to sleep early
why because I know that from you know
anytime I go to sleep late I wake up uh
late and I end up having a
not such a good day uh I'm going to be
more generous but I know that just
saying I'm going to be more generous is
not going to be enough I have to be
proactive about how every time I get a
check automatically I take x amount of
percentage out of that check and I give
it away right away I'm not going to wait
for the end of the month or the end of
the year or for the end of the uh uh
holiday I'm going to give it right away
why because that's again being proactive
about something same concept with a
person when it comes to their business
how you conduct your business to be nice
to be honest that's your choice to be
profitable is not your
choice so if you're going to make a list
make a list of things that are within
your ability to control it's within your
ability to control your mood it's within
your ability to control your desires
it's within your ability to control how
you express yourself those things are
within your
control now if a person spends their
time making a list of things they want
to work
on not just say I want to be a better
husband good for
you how how are you going to be a better
husband well how can I be well what does
she complain about usually the way to be
a better husband is match it with what
she complains about she complains that
you are not clean become more neat she
complains that you're lazy stop being
lazy she complains you don't uh do this
you don't do that fix it
fix it usually if there's enough love in
the house nobody complains when there's
a lot of complains that's usually
because there's lack of something else
too so a person needs to know that they
need to fix themselves but again it's
it's a in a relationship it's a two-way
street you can't just wait for the other
person to fix themselves and then you're
going to fix yourself everybody has to
worry about themselves but also
encourage the other person if possible
second thing is with when it comes to
work how you conduct your business how
you are with business many people for
some reason or another have gotten to
the point where they become accustomed
to cheat their customers I don't know
why and how this happened but apparently
it's become a norm that to cheat
customers is what you're supposed to do
promise them things that you cannot
deliver in any way shape or form why
because I need to make the sale
overpromise and under deliver has become
the business Norm in society oh this is
the best product in the world you're
right
it's not even the best in the
store and you know it but you want to
make the sale cuz it'll pay you the most
amount of commission so lying is
something you have to work on stop lying
yeah but if I don't lie then I won't
make any sales who
said whether you make a sale or don't
make a sale that's in the hands of God
but whether you lie or not that's in
your hands that's in your hands so make
the list of things that you can control
make the list of the things you can
control you control your attitude you
control your desires you control the way
you do things you control how you manage
your time those things are within your
control once you do that you'll see a
lot better results and the things that
you cannot
control I know one person that just a
few years ago literally did not have a
single penny a single penny
barely breaking even for for the month
barely even having for the month I think
you have to borrow money whatever it is
in the last several years he made some
money and gives a lot of
staka how did theem decide to just make
him give a lot of staka because even
back then when he barely had anything to
make you still like he he would be that
guy that gives like $5 because you $10
you give
five yeah but what can you possibly do
with $5 nothing you can't do anything
with $5 in America nothing I think gum
is more expensive than
$5 but that's not what
counts in God's eyes that's 50% of what
you have that's a big
deal in practicality it's worth nothing
you can't even help a homeless person
get a house at $5 can't do nothing with
$5 in a Jewish World you can't even feed
them if they're go you could buy them a
know value meal or something for like a
dollar get one of these
living pigs in a sandwich and for a
dollar but a Jew what can you buy $5
nothing I think bomba is like $3 now
like what are you going to do it five
nothing but's eyes it's a big deal it's
a ve very big deal why you gave half of
you so this person in the last several
years made certain things
work gives a lot of
money and I don't mean a lot of money oh
he donates uh I don't know $50,000
$1,000 he gave like2 $3 million in the
last couple years not to me to other
things Fortune how decided to make this
person and this is also coming along
with learning T doing working on himself
and so on and so
forth so it's important for a person to
know that when you do what you're
supposed to
do in accordance to what said with the
things that are in your control you no
longer need to make a to-do list a wish
list uh whatever other list they have
bucket
list you don't need to make those lists
why will give you exactly what you need
and
more give him a
reason
else usually I say no and then I'm about
to go and then you guys say yeah yeah
one last ones want to give you guys a
little more time
now good
do you guys notice that only now the
babies are
quiet that's good at least give some
action okay all right thank you again
for for coming thank you again for
learning with me each and every one of
us we'll have a
extraordinary and holidays we'll have uh
some sh in between I'm not sure what the
schedule is going to be because there's
a lot of holidays a lot of learning
needs to be done I have to also take on
myself a lot more learning this year
than in the past year and the past years
because what can we do we have to keep
growing so B we'll succeed anyone that
wants to contribute anyone that wants to
help with the co or with the all the
other projects that we have it's on our
line uh you know don't try to call me
and tell me I want to talk to me about
money I don't talk to people about money
this is the most amount of effort that I
use as far as to tell people about
donations go to the Internet donate on
the website or send a check that's the
most I do I don't call people I don't
have them call me I don't talk about it
this is the most I do but again I want
to remind you guys that this is the time
where a person can do a lot a lot with a
little and especially if a person has a
lot then certainly they should give a
lot amen
amen okay
second oh the ra raffle ra somebody has
to take that job
no raffle the rle my second job here my
second job okay
rle
done we got books today right there's
two there's one is one
is um the deluxe one and one is a the
book that I told Jonathan I read a few
times okay let's see first one is for
the
[Music]
207 i w I'm going to read it again for
the few more times 207 207 nobody but
once twice okay we'll pick
another huh
207 it CH
OR7 you want okay second one is uh
202 uh go to lout L will help you get
the book read it by the way don't just
put it in the library books and
libraries don't help
anybody Shalom everybody we're back here
in the United States after six
extraordinary weeks in l
the Holy Land we saw extraordinary
things there the beauty of the cotel the
beauty of the land itself and of course
the extraordinary beauty of
theim a huge event where several
thousand people showed up to honor the
to alongside us and also here the wisdom
of was what we started the uh trip with
but along the next several weeks we got
to meet many other spoke in many
different
places but
nesset and we got to see some of the
most extraordinary things I've ever seen
in my life but one of the things that we
did see that is not as exactly uh as
exciting is the spiritual poverty that's
in is in certain places places like Tel
Aviv places that people are walking the
streets without having a concept of what
modesty is without having a concept of
who the god of Israel is without even
having a concept that the fact that
they're stepping on Holy Ground these
are our holy brothers and sisters that
we've dedicated our life to help to get
them closer to
a and one of the things that we're doing
in the United States in Australia in
Canada in England and many other places
around the
world we've succeeded in doing it but
one of the other things that we did see
is also that there's a material poverty
a material poverty is simply so abundant
so so extraordinary that it breaks your
heart we're sitting in our house when
the next door neighbor uh that you know
decided to pass by to say hello and
while they were saying hello they asked
us if we have any extra toys because
they simply couldn't afford to buy their
kids any toys of course my kids gave
them their toys and we got to fulfill
the mitvah but there are thousands upon
thousands of these types of families
families of families ofik that simply
have poverty as a standard way of living
these are the types of families that
we've dedicated Our Lives to help as
well over the last few years we've
helped tens of thousands of people to
feed them during the holidays to get
them toys to get them clothes to get
them beds to get them whatever we
possibly can during this trip we also
lost a very dear friend one of our
partners in the
distribution very dear friend of ours G
ital that really dedicated her life to
helping am is we're going to miss her
but as a dedication to her as a
dedication for cl and as another way to
honor our we're continuing to do our
food distribution as well as our
spiritual distribution we need your help
this time of the year is Yip sukot the
high holidays these are the times where
most people donate the most most of
their money during this time of the year
because they need the righteous judgment
they need the good judgment they need to
be blessed with a new child with
financial success with a health Miracle
with all types of issues and people know
that the blessings of the MIM people
that have dedicated their life to
helping am
Isel those blessings get a special VIP
treatment in sham over the years we've
had many people tell us how each and
every single one of their blessings that
they received from us was fulfilled
during that year
and as a result of their donations they
got many many more folds of blessings
than they could ever imagine please
partner with us during this time of the
year be generous and also be
understanding that this is the time
where every single one of us gets judged
and every one of us needs a little help
if we help aosh who's children
