imagine the following scenario living in the Midwest and you've had a pothole in your front yard for the last four months you've called them in new municipality and no one is answering so you know what you try to do you figured you know what I'll call the president you call the president and guess what he picks up the phone you can't believe it you tell him your problem he says don't worry I'm taking care of it the next morning the Marines come in they take care of your pothole and everything is taken care of can you believe that now that's a wild story the president answered your call now think for a moment who's cool will the president take you know who's calling I'll take he'll take the call of his wife his children the people that he loves so what's this and then analogy to you know when we say there's no a the atheists in a foxhole is because even an atheist understands that when he calls out the Almighty the time of need even when he's ignored him his whole life there's a being that's really there that will take his call no matter what no matter if I've ignored him it's now unconditional love that the Almighty has for his children and that's our relationship to the creator of the universe one with prayer when we're praying it's with the understanding that He loves us like a child that he'll take how cool anytime there's no red tape by getting through to the president you don't have to send a postcard you don't have to call many times write letters how am I gonna get an audience with the president with the king of kings we can call any time because we his children were children of the infinite creative universe and He loves us with an infinite and unconditional love that's prayer
