there's a fascinating episode in last week's Torah portion where the Jewish people complained in Moshe and said we want meat we remember the meat that we had in Egypt and we want it and Moshe turns to God and says an amazing thing where am I gonna get enough meat for all of these people how was it possible and God Himself says to Moshe what's the problem is my hand lacking that I can't give them I'm an infinite being did you forget how could it possibly be and how do we understand this it's fascinating so there's a a beautiful explanation a psychological explanation that Rashi brings where he says that motion meant the following Shem it doesn't matter what you give them because if you could give them meat they now say with one chicken you give them land they say they work out without one steak you give the mistake they're gonna say I won't learn doesn't matter what you give them because they are a nation of complainers and therefore it doesn't matter even if you have an infinite hand and they'll still say it's not enough so we have to look at ourselves in life and ask ourselves is there pus are we going through life and we get beautiful things you say you know what wasn't quite what I wanted I wanted something a little different I wanted something new I got this type of ice cream I want a different type of ice cream I want I got this type of a job I want a different type of a job I got this type of a husband or a wife I wanted my child children my wet my job whatever it is we have to ask ourselves because if that's the case it could be that the Almighty is giving us infinite goodness and we're missing it because just like Moses said we'll never be satisfied will never appreciate that infinite love because we've become people that are always complaining I know a rabbi rabbi he's a receiver in Denver rabbi Wasserman and whenever you ask him how he is he looks at you and he says grateful and he really means it and that's something that we need to acquire in our lives to be people that walk through life with tremendous gratitude for the things that we have it doesn't mean things can't be difficult they can and they often are right but at the same time to appreciate what we have and have gratitude to go through life in that way will open us up to seeing the infinite goodness of the infinite being
