What would you say to somebody who's
struggling right now? They're
overweight, they can't control their
eating, they don't have patience to make
exercise. What would you tell them?
Somebody
>> You start slowly, not go up right away.
Start doing slowly. I basically every
day in the morning I wait before I start
eating and it goes everything. You can
see it goes down like a like He told me
do this and don't stop. Go on another
day, another day. Eventually you're
going to start lose weight. So after 2
weeks start going down down.
>> [music]
>> allowed to try to make sales. But at the
end of the day it's not here to for our
benefit. I find it something something
interesting cuz I see certain people try
to promise money [music] on their
children.
But then it's like
who's behind the money? What can the
average person do
to help a older single? Listen, the
podcast it still has to stay it on
original. Be professional and I made
them with a higher cameras.
My mission is stop hold my blood and
chill. Okay, welcome to another episode
of Positivity. Super excited to be here
with my guest Avrumi Perel
who has a beautiful fascinating story.
I think people will really enjoy it.
More than anything, recently he just
lost
approximately 60 lb. We're going to hear
the journey from himself, but he did it
the natural way.
So Avrumi, I'll stick with this that you
are. Very excited to have you on.
>> Yes, hi.
>> Uh for fun oil on how you did it, what
sort of motivated. Shout out to the
sponsor of this episode, the Panels
Group. We all heard about this.
Uh mention was making solar for their
house and are able to save monthly on
their electric bill about 30 to 40%. So
my dad aligned to this getting and he
saved a tremendous amount of money and
mechanics financing. So basically
instead of paying an electric bill,
you're going to be paying a solar panel
bill. And if you have a
let's say for your house, you can also
incorporate it into the payments. So,
and solar panels, you are still paying
cheaper than your electric. But I
actually looked into these numbers for
my own house.
It is the customer do. So, yeah guys,
check this out. The number is 347-435
2327.
And if you mention positivity or Webber,
you get $500 back. So, if you've been
considering doing solar panel in the New
Jersey area or in Monsey or in Arizona,
mention Webber and you get yourself $500
back besides saving the money every
single month on your electric bill.
Either way, you can reach out and get a
free quote. You know, all you have to do
is send your one electric bill and your
address and they'll tell you exactly how
much money you can save, but it's fully
hassle-free. You truck will take care of
you directly. Send them a WhatsApp.
Again, the number is 347-435-2327.
>> So, it was around Passover time and I
decided that after Passover I want to
start serious
losing weight. So, a friend told me in
the dream in Yald Yald and Bar Park
>> Mhm.
>> to
to lose weight in the natural way
without skinny shots.
Just natural natural. Basically, going
consistently exercise.
And
to to to lose weight naturally.
>> Wow.
>> And do exercise
naturally and eating healthy.
>> Mhm.
So, I'm thinking you see hearing you
speak English, Mochi, I'm thinking
producers should we just do it in
English? More people can get inspired.
Okay, we'll go English.
Always say the people that speak Yiddish
also understand English, but some people
that uh speak English don't understand
Yiddish at all.
>> I can better in Yiddish, so
>> So, okay, we can go back and forth a
little bit. Um I'm just curious, what
motivated you to start a
diet now? Like
>> Um
My blood sugar was a little bit high.
Too much, but a little bit.
>> Okay.
>> So, I started when I be healthy.
>> Did the doctor say anything or you just
decided for your own?
>> Uh-huh.
And before that, how was it
How was it How does it feel to be
super How How did you feel being before
you lost all this weight?
>> I felt much heavier.
It was hard for me to stand. Now, I can
stand all the time and
>> Mhm.
>> It's much My life is
different. Now, I look different than
before. Completely. People didn't
recognize me.
>> Yeah.
Right.
>> Five people the last few days I They
know me from before from the shield and
>> Yeah.
>> They didn't know me.
>> Uh-huh. We have to put a picture on the
thumbnail or something the before and
after for people to be able to grasp.
So, once you decided to diet, you said
you went to Yelek Ve'Yeled, uh
and did you also change the things that
you ate or it was just exercise? Give me
the rundown.
>> So, basically, I start eating less.
Let's say I ate a whole plate of cereal
in the morning
in
hun- diff- different kind of cereals.
>> Mhm.
>> More nuts as well. The rice crisp rice.
>> Mhm.
>> So, I start eating only the more healthy
cereal. Bran flakes and so on. This
kind.
>> Yeah.
Okay.
>> [clears throat]
>> And then I was getting a small plate,
not
a small plate and was enough for me till
lunch.
>> you eat before? Like three plates?
>> A big one.
And I filled it up again. Like I uh
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Now, I'm trying to know how much, not
too much, and I'm getting full. And
usually I don't eat till lunch. If I'm
in the middle, let's say 11:00 to 12:00,
I to some fruit or vegetable.
>> Mhm.
>> Or a rice cake, but basically normally I
don't eat the lunch. For lunch I'm
eating
whole wheat rice cake, whole wheat
crackers, whole wheat matzah.
I'm switching.
>> Yeah.
>> And then the spread, sometimes eggplant,
sometimes sugar free peanut butter. I'm
trying if it's available, you know.
>> Right.
>> And it's more to the healthy side.
>> Mhm.
>> I'm saying I can sometimes eat eggs.
>> Mhm.
>> And I'm trying not to use oil when I
make scrambled eggs. I can use it with
water or milk. This AI told me that
>> Mhm.
>> So they can you don't need to use oil.
>> I didn't know that.
But oil, depending on which diet, I
think olive oil is a healthy ingredient,
no?
>> Right, but still still I think a lot of
times mhm
>> It piles up, yeah, right. Depends on
which diet. I know let's say on the keto
diet oil's unlimited, doesn't have any
calories.
>> Right, so
I try to avoid it.
>> Right. For you this is what works.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. Most people the hardest part is the
consistency, to stay on a certain diet,
to stay with a certain schedule of
of working out. How did you stay
consistent? How did you not fall off?
>> I had a mind to do it and I said I
didn't know up till the end. I went 6
miles a day walking, two in the morning,
two in the afternoon, and two at night
in the gym.
That was and when I went to gym I went
inclined fully up for 30 minutes and 2
miles.
Means
hill up, like you go on a hill.
>> Somebody made you your workout schedule?
You just did whatever you
>> I have a friend in the gym. He He
suggests me some things to do.
>> Right, cuz sometimes you go to the gym,
you're doing things you have no idea
what it is.
You have to make sure. No, I know for
myself, yeah, I'm in the same journey.
I'm not the skinniest.
And um I'm I'm also trying to lose
weight.
So
>> Yeah. He told me do this and don't stop.
Go on another day, another day,
Eventually, you're going to start lose
weight. So, after 2 weeks, it start
going down, down. I have I have it in on
my phone. You can see.
I have basically every day in the
morning. I wait before I start eating,
and it goes every day. You can see it
goes down like a like a
>> Oh, wow.
>> Sensitively down, down, down.
>> Yeah, and did your blood pressure go
down, also?
>> Yes.
>> Really?
>> It's much better now.
>> Wow.
A healthy It's really inspiring to So,
man, what would you say to somebody
who's struggling right now? They're
overweight. They can't control their
eating. They don't have patience to make
exercise. What would you tell them?
Somebody who
>> It should start slowly. Not go up right
away. Start doing slowly, and I mean the
middle the meantime go up more a little
bit.
>> A little more exercise, a little more
food.
>> Watching what I'm what I'm eating.
>> Uh-huh.
What is your favorite unhealthy food to
eat?
>> What I want to eat? Cheesecake.
>> Cheesecake.
>> [laughter]
>> But between me and you, cheesecake is
not
It's It's okay. Cheesecake you can make
a healthy cheesecake.
>> But most of the store don't sell, you
know? They're full of sugar, you know?
>> I have this theory. I was speaking to my
friend, you know, Quadzilla?
Uh you um
Uh
Deutsch. You know Yianni Deutsch? You
know his name?
Okay, I'm sorry if I forgot his name,
man.
And he is a He is amazing
um
at uh
making content. But I spoke to him this
week, and I I was telling him in general
that
the food market in general, you walk
into any supermarket, Walmart, ShopRite,
other
uh in the in the Yiddish world, even.
The food products that they're selling
is simply unhealthy for the reason that
it's cheaper to produce, easier to sell,
more addictive to people. So, majority
of the foods that you walk in the
grocery is going to be snacks, candies,
jellies, sugary products, juices, all
these things that are not healthy for
the body.
There is a small vegetable and fruit
section, some chicken and protein in the
fridge. I mean
look at the protein aisle. When you look
at the yogurts, there is one yogurt
the Mahadran or the Normans uh
plain yogurt without anything added.
That's the only healthy yogurt in the
entire grocery. Everything else
>> It's more not healthy.
>> sugar, chemicals, if it's Splenda, if
it's regular sugar.
Now they put the whole snack in the
yogurt, which I love that yogurt. I'm
just saying they put in the
the cookie crumb, the whole thing. Like
>> What in the world?
>> not healthy. Yeah, you walk the cereal
aisle. Like
it's just insane.
And I'm saying it because again, there
are a lot of sell it. People are allowed
to make money, but there is it's also
that their marketing is a lot better.
Like in the grocery world of Coca-Cola,
it's one of the biggest companies in the
world. Their marketing is great and
everybody is drinking this poison.
>> Right.
>> And they don't necessarily care. And I'm
not even saying that they're wrong.
So
I'm not even saying that they're wrong.
Like they're allowed to sell their
product. They're allowed to try to make
sales, but at the end of the day, it's
not here to for our benefit in my
opinion.
>> 100%. So I'm trying to avoid all this.
>> Mhm. Wow.
>> So let's say I go to the grocery and I
cut the cheese, low fat. I'm trying to
do everything healthy way. Salad every
day. That's it today for lunch. I bought
a whole wheat
um bread with has eggs. I I tried to
avoid mayonnaise. Just I put in the egg
and vegetables. Then I bought a half
separate salad
with a kiwi, a cup of kiwi. That was my
lunch today.
>> The funny thing is that after doing it
for a few weeks, you feel so much
better. You don't want to eat sugar,
oily foods, fattening foods.
>> 100%.
>> It makes you nauseous when you do eat
it. If you
>> And I work in a pizza store.
>> No way.
>> Yes.
>> So, how does that feel?
>> I'm just not using this. Never touch in
the food. No pizza, no french fries.
>> Wow. So, one of the things that I found
is that
there is a healthy balance, which means
that yeah, if you want to actively lose
weight, you got to do what you're doing.
Okay? Exercise actively and watch every
ingredient. If you want to maintain
weight, you can have a slice of pizza
once a week or something like that. It's
not I think it's three or four hundred
calories.
Like if you're sticking to a basic 2,000
calorie diet, it's not so hard to stay
on the 2,000 calories.
>> 100% And if I do exercise right after
that, it goes out.
>> Correct. Burns the calories. Correct.
>> That that slice pizza or that I don't
know.
>> Exactly. Right. So, that's the kind of
life that I'm trying to do. Like people
always ask me, "How do you eat the foods
and every" Yeah, you eat the foods, but
a healthy amount. I don't have to eat
like a hazard because I'm on a diet.
Like
So, I think that that's uh just in
general my thoughts.
Wow. Um
very interesting. Um I'm curious you you
did share Where do you Where do you
work? You said the pizza store. How Do
you enjoy meeting the customers over
there? Is it the
>> Yeah, I'm friendly and I don't really
talk and um
I'm friendly customers when you serve
them.
>> Uh-huh.
>> That we sell and selling it.
>> You ever saw somebody come in, order
four slices, and eats it all up?
>> Could happen, yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> Uh-huh. Some people just like to eat a
lot, no? I feel like I'm not that kind
but I can't eat a lot of food. I can eat
just plain food.
>> Yeah, no.
Yeah, it's all kind of people, you know?
Some people more, some people less.
>> Right.
So, you mentioned to me that you are a
bocher. I mean, you you you don't
necessarily look like a older bocher,
but you did mention
your age, and we'll see if we're going
to keep this in depending on if you feel
comfortable sharing, but I think it's a
big inspiration that you are a bocher
still.
And
you went on your journey, you're
inspiring others
um of losing weight, being responsible,
you have a successful job. What are some
of the challenges that come with being a
Bochur?
>> It's a hard subject, and I'm trying to
stay positive.
>> Mhm.
>> Whatever Shem wants will make sure it
happens, so I said like this, I
did this exercise and this losing weight
not for a Shidduch.
>> Mhm.
>> Not for health.
>> Yeah.
>> Now it's going to happen cuz I look
better, and the Shidduch will come, is
that a plus for me, but I didn't focus
for the Shidduch.
That's what I think. That's the approach
I'm
thinking, because you know, I don't
focus the whole day about Shidduch.
The Shem is going to help.
>> Yeah.
Right. I had I had a very interesting
story
by the way, you're reminding me of now
that when I was in Shidduchim, and I got
married by 28, so I wasn't relatively in
our community that's considered an old
Bochur. But I went out on a date when I
was
uh 24 about,
and I came back from the date, and the
Shidduch guy told me that
um
something that they they said no,
and he mentioned something like, maybe
if you lose weight
and 20 30 lb, she'll go out with you
again. I don't know if the girl said it
or if he said it,
but it really bothered me, and I decided
that's it, I'm going to lose weight
again. At that time I was about uh 300
lb, ended up losing about 50 lb.
Um
and I felt and looked obviously a lot
better, but the reason I say this is
because I do think that there is
you know, obviously my wife didn't marry
me because I'm skinny. I mean, she knows
who I am and whatever, but in the same
time
at the end of the day, it is normal to
understand that
a normal healthy girl might not want
somebody that is very overweight or
obese or doesn't carry themselves well.
>> Right.
>> So, it could be a part of a shidduch.
I'm just curious what your thoughts are.
And I'm saying this as a very overweight
person. That I I did see it as part of a
shidduch is to look good. Or or better
to say to look healthy. Forget about
looking good. We all look good. To look
healthy. As a person that's very
overweight, we know the statistics out
there of
how overweight can affect a person's
health.
>> Right. So, I'm saying I'd
It's sure that's a good thing, but my
focus should not be only this.
>> Yeah.
>> More to health. And this is a side
effects. It's a plus what's going to
happen to me to change.
>> Right. Did you have When I was dating,
to be honest, I had a lot of people that
told me, "I'm sorry, he's too chubby."
Whether it was the girl alone or the
shadchan. "Too chubby." I I heard it a
lot. Did you ever hear that?
He's overweight.
>> never overweight. Remember you're
overweight. My most weight was 224. I
mean,
>> Uh-huh.
>> for a little bit.
>> Well, that's 50 lb more than now, right?
>> More than 50.
>> Oh, wow. So, so that
>> I'm almost 150.
>> Wow. So, you 75 lb more has got to be
humongous.
Sorry.
>> Right.
I have a picture you're going to see.
>> Oh, okay.
Wow. But but you get what I'm saying.
I'm just I'm schmoozing with you. It's
not just like I feel like it makes a
difference. You have to take care of
your health.
>> I understand.
>> So,
>> very hard. And I think the thing is not
Now I have to focus more on staying
maybe a little bit less, but I want to
stay in the one in the high 40 140s and
start to stay there than that 5 to 10
lb. Like
>> Yeah.
>> I've never gone more than 135.
>> Right.
>> That's my goal.
>> Got it.
Very nice. Um
What do you find most challenges
challenging in being single? I know when
I was single,
I
I'm married now for about 6 months and I
can tell you that being with somebody
constantly
to me is something I enjoy. Whether it's
Shabbos, a Yom Tov, going away, going to
upstate, um even just during the day, my
wife was here helping us set up.
There is a
there is a feeling of of being together
with somebody which equals not being
lonely.
>> Right.
>> For me that was I think my biggest
challenge. That at a certain point,
especially as my friends got married, my
my even my own sister got married, I was
like, "Okay, everybody's married and
basically busy and moving on with their
next step in life and I'm still in the
same place." To me that was a very big
challenge.
What do you find a big challenge in
being single?
>> Justice is it's not easy that everybody
moves same thing. Everybody moves on in
life and I'm trying to be my husband.
>> Uh-huh. So I nailed it. I nailed the
challenge of being single.
>> Like like a year and a half ago
I was my life was a little different.
Then I wake up a little bit late and
usually I I dress like a few minutes
down and went to work and then come back
home and then went to sleep all the day
and my life was really
much different, much miserable than now.
>> Mhm.
>> So I decided I'm waking up every day
6:00 a.m. in the morning. I'm going to
down with manyan and then I'm learning a
little bit. I'm going to work.
That is every day. Even sometimes the
job is not so set early, I am up.
>> Yeah.
>> Even Shabbos morning. 6:00 I'm up.
No matter what.
>> And how does that make you feel better?
>> Much better because I
>> You have a schedule, you have a reason
to wow.
>> And I'm much more energized also because
of that. So
everything is better. My whole system,
everything.
>> Right, right, right. So you feel better
with yourself.
>> 100%.
>> Um we spoke on the phone and we had a
conversation about the shidduch system
system so to speak.
>> Mhm.
I don't hear you now.
>> You don't hear me?
>> Okay, now it's good.
>> Oh, now it's good. Okay, producer is
playing around.
Um
so
we spoke about the shidduch system and
in the system
No, I don't like that, Machi.
Just I You can leave it. The way I had
it was kind of figured out that that's
good.
Yeah, thank you.
So, in the in the system, I think
there's a lot of pros and cons. The the
cons are that the arshat chunnem that
It's not like we voted them in as a
shatchen. They're just decided to be a
shatchen.
It's a
it's
it They're sort of like a volunteer.
Because they
even if they want to charge money, most
of them don't sit down with a contract.
Some do. But at the end of the day,
they're like a volunteer. They decided
to get into this business.
They're not necessarily making big
money. Because average shidduch today, I
think you're paid $2,000
each side, which is not a lot of money
considering days, months
hundreds of hours that can go into doing
a shidduch.
So, I've had shatchenem that told me,
"Oh, change what you're wearing. Change
your outfit. Do this. Do that. Lose
weight." I've had all these kind of
shatchenem and that makes me feel
resentful towards them.
Um
and at the same time, they're doing
volunteer work. So, when we blame
shatchenem, who is there to blame?
>> I don't have an answer
I don't have an answer.
>> Uh-huh.
Okay. So,
>> So, I could say what I
>> Yeah.
>> my shidduch that I tried to do for a
shidduch is
that I talked to my manager here like 2
weeks ago on Shabbos in the afternoon
and I decided that I would give him my
for me $5,000
for shatchen and $2,000 for another
older single and three more friends
another $3,000 and
so, total $10,000.
So, I went to ask my rabbi
he's from
and he said that first he said, "Oh,
it's a good thing." Then he said, "No,
don't give only for you."
>> Mhm.
>> So, then I went to I found somebody who
doesn't help. So, I met him, but then he
said he's going to try to help me, but
he don't doesn't want to have
obligation.
So, I stay with the money, but I still
feel that I could do that. The $5,000
and also somebody else has $10,000 on
me.
>> Mhm.
>> If they going to feel that they are
going to help me in the street, so
>> Mhm.
>> Again, is there a right?
>> I find that something something is
interesting cuz I see certain people try
to promise money on their shidduch.
But then it's like
who's behind the money? It's not like
the money is sitting in a escrow.
>> I have no problem to use somebody.
>> shidduch, you get they get $15,000.
>> Yes, at least. But then I have no
problem my money I could give for
somebody a third person to hold it.
>> Well, that other person that says
$10,000, you think that if you get
engaged tomorrow bring you a shidduch or
whatever, somebody reaches out to me
and bring you a shidduch I get $15,000?
That's what he said. Okay.
>> And I believe he he's loyal to me, so
>> Aha, okay.
So, listen, you could you never know
from this podcast here we could uh
Savro Me Pearl
he is Can I say the age?
I'm not saying the age. Older bocher
whoever reaches out personally will get
the age.
And he has a successful job. He has
money on his name.
He personally has money. He has money if
you do the shidduch.
And where are you from? You want to say
which
>> Borough Park.
>> Borough Park. I grew up in Borough Park.
Looks like it's my partner's doing.
>> I shouldn't say his age. They have
started doing my plan.
>> It is.
>> Yeah.
>> I'm so excited. Also, thank you to
Westwood and thank you to Shimon
Rosenstein. This is his equipment. Thank
you to the
so thank you very much more sponsors of
the episode
the panels group thank you Zoller's
vitamin jump to literally in this
dragon fruit flavor
any other good sponsors whatever media
whatever media is a story telling
company on social media you want to
share the story of your company and your
own personal story
we can help you create uh
these avenues to do that LinkedIn
Instagram Facebook
and we're working with a lot of
successful companies that are
happy clients and getting good results
shockingly I say shockingly because the
point of social media is to have a
presence to be relevant but they're also
getting results in terms of sales so
it's just pretty amazing something I
can't promise but when it happens I get
really excited
so
um
what can the average person do
to help a older single
in your opinion
>> talk to them and be positive and try to
help them try
>> this hit me on the sound man it's not on
>> [laughter]
>> my head is not in the earphones huh
you sure
can you check your Oscar
no I hear it because I'm listening to my
own mic
with and it's magnified
if you lower now that you can lower the
volume of my headphone I'm not going to
hear sound of a cop
>> [laughter]
>> you're not even not going to hear it
we'll see after
>> I'm off on the court to have a listen.
Listen, the podcast it still has to stay
at our own original. We professionals do
my entire cameras though. It's my
mission.
So, huh?
It's like the phone on the stand.
They just need to get the camera. Yeah,
this is good.
So, I thought I would stand so they
thought so with the banana art of the
wand. But, I feel a little bit better
though.
>> way.
>> How's my arm? Much better.
It's really not my angle to shoot with
the toes.
I mean this is like gross.
All right, McKenzie I'm on socks by the
way.
The muscle.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, perfect.
This is working.
So,
So, what we're going to talk about
Reagan is
the muscle is on the head's gone. I'm a
laugh. What do you think I'm feeling
better?
>> 100%.
>> Yeah?
Okay, I should have a plan on my list.
You have a plan on my status every
Friday. Remind me to check in on a
friend.
But, they say from what I'm hearing.
You have to talk to me when you're going
to single but I have to find a lot of
non-checking with me. I feel like you
have a lot of checking with other men
too.
>> Yeah, I think I have to check on them.
>> Yeah, okay.
I mean it.
I can't depend on anybody else.
>> Right.
>> I cannot depend on of me a lines.
You know, I enjoyed the dating. You have
to date this is a avenue with the
the Hasidic people. I'm supposed to
speak in English. The Hasidic people
don't explore this avenue of dating.
They're not enjoying that time. It's not
a joyful thing by us. By us it's very
much you meet, they get married, you
meet twice or three times and you get
married. I I don't think it should be
that way.
I'm a very strong advocate. And somebody
should argue to with me if there is
anything halocha, Torah-wise, or
hashkafa-wise which says otherwise,
I think we should enjoy the dating
process. This whole idea of you meet,
you get married, for those who it works
isn't right. Majority of people, or
somebody that is a little bit older and
makes a life for themselves in terms of
working,
and the things that they the actions
that they're doing, and things like
that, why not go out and enjoy? I feel
like because it's such a closed up
thing, it becomes a whole pressure, you
become a whole nebich.
I when I was 26, 27, which is again,
like I said, relatively old in our
community, I wasn't a nebich at all, I
was just the opposite.
I I looked at all my married friends and
I was like, "You nebich. I'm enjoying
life. I'm building a business. I'm
having fun. I'm dating. I'm getting all
these experiences. What are you doing?
Wow, you're building life. Okay, you can
build life and start it at 30, also."
>> The fact is that's the that how it
works. I don't know.
>> "That's how it works" is not good
enough.
>> I guess I have to change, but I'm I'm
not the guy who can change the world.
>> Yeah, but you can change yourself and
start enjoying life. Or any single
listening to this, start enjoying life.
Make it Just like you did. You made it
meaningful for yourself. You have a
schedule, you have a job, you have a you
exercise, you work out, you eat healthy.
>> Right. I understand.
>> I'm impressed.
You're an inspiration.
>> Thank you. Thank you.
>> talking for 30 minutes already?
It's insane. I feel like conversation
with you it feels like 5 minutes.
>> Wow. Thank you so much.
>> Wow.
You you have what I'm saying?
It's time
for you to enjoy your life.
>> Mhm.
>> You have to start enjoying.
>> Yeah.
My friend,
I will definitely need that advice how
exactly and
yeah.
>> You do fun things.
>> I'm doing with, but but on a kosher way.
>> Okay. I also did everything on a kosher
way.
Pretty much.
>> Right.
>> By the machine, you know, you have
sounds that you can
you can make like a clutching sound.
>> No, you should break the sound.
>> You can make a break.
>> [screaming]
[cheering]
>> It's a lucky day.
>> Yeah.
>> This This guy I'm with him.
This dusty macher when he macht a mic
drop moment.
That was the macher there. Wow. Wow.
Wow.
So,
it comes with doing self responsibility.
>> Yeah.
>> It's a quote.
You make a quote of this. So, thing I
do.
Nine?
>> Yeah.
>> Have you met me?
>> Yeah, fully.
>> When I was going with him
>> No, I'm with him.
>> How about you and I and this guy I'm
with him
>> Those guys, let's say I'm with those.
>> And you can say I'm a wingman with
those.
I dated from a lot of networking events.
I met somebody business-minded
sometimes.
I was like, "Let's go out. Where are you
going after this event? I'm I'm single,
you're single.
Let's go out."
>> Same here.
>> Okay, so how do we So, that's what we
need to figure out.
That will help them.
If a person is not ready to date,
then how are they attracting dating?
It's a nice ringer, by the way.
30 minutes? Oh, it's almost 30 minutes.
Um
Yeah, I was saying I think people have
to educate themselves in what is
especially if it comes to date just like
when you understand if you want to open
a business, you have to study what
business is.
You want to go into shidduchim,
you have to learn what is
a girl, what do they want, how do I
date, how do I put myself out there, how
do I look desirable? I think those
things are very important, which they
definitely don't teach you
in Yeshiva or in school.
>> So, should be class for this, I mean
>> Yeah.
>> I'm still
>> So, it happens to be not that they're a
sponsor, they're just friends.
Eckstein and Aerlich, they have
this class.
Um
Do you know what it's called, Moishy?
They have a
It has a name or something.
And they they You can look it up online.
And they teach parents actually how to
do information. I don't know if they
actually teach the
I think for information
for shidduchim, there's probably nobody
teaching a person.
At least not in a public forum.
What is a shidduch? What's a girl? How
to date? What to date? Even on Even on
kosher levels, there is zero
information, I think, out there.
And you know what? Maybe, in your honor,
for your zchus,
I can start making episodes that teach
people what to do. I was I was a
shaliach for 10 years.
I have a [snorts] lot of my own
knowledge and collective knowledge.
I'll start sharing.
>> Sounds like a plan.
>> Okay, what are we going to call the
segment?
Um
Vayaishev Avrohom.
Avrohom Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah.
Learn again today? You can.
>> [laughter]
>> I learn again every day, but
Learn every day as well. See, I stopped
learning every day. I don't enjoy it,
and I don't understand it.
What should I do? I said, "You have to
learn every day." I don't I don't get
it. For me, it doesn't resonate.
>> It doesn't have a You don't have to. I'm
willing I want to do it.
>> You enjoy learning? What
>> Yeah.
>> The more you learn, the happier you are.
>> Yeah. I learn a daf the Gemara every
day.
>> B'emes?
>> Yeah.
>> learning? You know how to touch? I don't
know how to touch.
>> I
I'm not saying that I understand
everything, but I'm learning.
>> Yeah.
>> Right.
>> I I I listen to a shiur on Yiddish.
>> Very nice. Okay. If What chizuk would
you give to somebody who is a single
right now, and they're struggling?
I remember I had my ups and downs. I had
midlife crisis
while I was single. Like, it really
really hurt me certain day days. Certain
times before Yom Tov, I was really
anxious. I know the Yom Tovim are coming
up now.
What chizuk would you give somebody
that's struggling right now?
>> I don't need I don't need I don't need
his it.
>> You don't need his
>> I don't need his it.
>> You alone need his it.
>> So, I'm trying to be my husband that
Mitchem is going to be I'm just look
positive and I know that
Mitchem is going to be good.
>> You should know that I feel for you.
>> Thank you.
>> And um
I will try. I will try everything I
could possible to um
to help you.
You know why? Because it says when it
comes to shidduchum
that you don't rely on a sham. You rely
on your actions. Have you ever heard of
the saying? Like to say oh a sham is
going to help him. No, no, no.
I can help him.
That's where you put a sham on the sides
for a minute.
I can potentially help you.
When it comes to shidduchum friends can
help a lot of friends.
So, I happen to have met my wife
through myself.
Through Instagram.
But in the same time
when
we went out, she brought a friend, I
brought a friend.
My friend set up her friend with his
best friend's brother.
And they got married. They're married
right now.
And from that came out a third shidduch.
Because that friend that my friend
introduced to my wife's friend knew
another guy
for my wife's friend's
friend.
>> Wow.
>> So, a third shidduch. You see, so I got
engaged, my my friend got engaged, and
my wife's friend's third friend got
engaged because of the guy that my
wife's friend's friend got married to.
>> Wow.
>> So, the point is that we we need to do
hishtadlus.
>> 100%.
>> So, I want to do hishtadlus with you.
You're a very nice guy.
And um I want to help you. And with the
help of everybody with the listeners. If
you're listening to this,
do a favor, reach out to me, WhatsApp,
Instagram,
or talk to Ramy directly. And let's see,
maybe we can help him. And $15,000 on
the line, however, or more.
So, that can be amazing. Ramy, a final
message to all the listeners,
what would you say?
>> If there's a will, there's a way. Like,
I come from 218 to
150 around in
>> Wow.
>> 155, let's say, in
4 months.
>> Mhm.
>> So, again, I'm not saying it's for
everybody to do this, but
you have to do it and not stop till we
see results and then we have to share
Everybody could do it. Just we need to
do it consistently and go on till you
see results and
And may the sham help and be inspiration
to the world.
