when the average person thinks about the
worst things that ever happened to am is
typically they'll think about the
Holocaust they think about the Spanish
Inquisition destruction of the first and
second bet mikdash and the golden CF
rarely does anyone think of Paras and
what took place during this time
3,334 years ago being literally one of
the worst things that ever happened to
am once a person knows the details of
what happened and how it affect
today they'll understand why this
particular par throws cold water over
the political correctness of Western
society and the liberal mentality that's
in the Jewish world today after that we
go into questions interesting questions
questions from all different spectrums
of the Torah whether it's why don't we
use the today or perhaps why did we ever
have the if we have but call or we have
prophecy the different forms of
communications between between God and
people aside from that how do you
rationalize the irrational things from
idolatry things from idol worship that
exists today that existed in the past
how do you deal with
them last but not least how do you deal
with life risk such as if a woman is
about to get
raped is she allowed to kill the person
or is it considered a sin these and much
more are going to be addressed tonight
with the
sources with the details that are going
to help us know the truth and become
holy thank you for Learning and we're
looking forward to seeing your
comments we're back here on our
Wednesday night Tora St the rabbi Series
where after some you guys will ask some
questions
and will give us some answers tonight sh
will be for
theis Sarah eser and Herzel Ben
Juliet them and all the wonderful people
that are listening to us now and uh all
of these all of
these so tonight uh we
have
and we're going to learn a few things
that perhaps are going to give us a
little bit of a clear perspective of
where the torah's ashfa is and where our
ashfa is where our ideology is
because p is the one Paras that uh in so
many words throws water over the Western
ideology of political
correctness uh whether that political
correctness is coming from the uh uh the
media or needless to say if it's coming
from the rabinal world uh where people
are simply doing everything possible to
please the crowd to please the uh the
fans the
subscribers and uh quite frankly this
parasa is uh is one to show us that that
uh it's not necessarily always a good
idea to uh try to please people as the
uh Torah tells us in
the that someone that is merciful uh to
the wicked will eventually be vicious to
the righteous so it there's a time and a
place for everything and we're not
saying that a person needs to be vicious
we're not saying that a person needs to
be angry or uh or upset at everyone for
not being perfect but at the same token
to uh to water down our Torah and uh to
try to uh humanize God is certainly not
the direction nowat P of course really
starts at the end of parat bak and there
are plenty of questions we all should
have already had uh about this parasa
already for the last week uh where uh we
the story line is obviously well known
where after bam sees that his uh his
bless his curses are not working through
prophecy the first two times the third
try kazal tell us that he actually tried
to go to
Witchcraft uh and uh that's one of the
ways they learn it is that when uh uh
bam gives a blessing he says
that is a uh is uh uh in charge of the
the heavens and the uh uh the things
that are above and below and there kazal
tell us that he's actually referring to
both the angels and the demons the
angels that are in the heavens and the
demons that are here in this world but
also have the ability to go up to the
heavens and Bam goes to Witchcraft but
yet does not succeed there either
because AOS decides to give him prophecy
uh for the sake of am Isel uh on the
third try and uh bless am is once again
as thear mentions that bam had a special
talent where he knew the thega which is
in essence the moment that Hashem judges
the world uh and the uh the Rea is not
it's a fraction of a second and uh this
this particular moment that Hashem
judges the world is in essence an open
ticket for bam to throw whoever he wants
to throw under the bus where he uh if he
wants to curse somebody he wants
somebody to be judged by hasem that's
the time that he would do it and he
tried to do this with am is he tried to
use those moments uh where hasem judges
uh the world uh he tried to actually
throw is uh and put them in trouble
during that time and that's why one of
our uh uh daily 10 remembrances is to
remember what happened with balak bam
and how did not judge the world during
in that time and in fact he blessed
us and this was in essence a showing us
that he is not bound to any particular
rules uh he is the king of all Kings and
parad Bak finishes off with by far the
most tragic thing that ever happened to
Amel now typically when you hear about
tragedies that happened to am Isel you
may hear about recent events horrific
things like the Holocaust where 6
million Jews were murdered by the evil
Nazis and Cold Blood uh and tortured or
you hear about the Spanish Inquisition
you hear about the destruction of the
first and second bet mikdash you hear
even about the golden calf rarely is the
biggest tragedy in am's history ever uh
coincide with parat Pinas but tonight
we're going to give you guys a little
bit more details to actually show you
how much of a tragedy this whole thing
actually was because while many of us
look at theim and we see that this whole
thing cost us
24,000
people the truth is that it was much
more than
that the truth is that it was seven
times more than that eight times more
than that but this is part of the oral
tah that we need help from in order to
understand truly what it actually meant
the same thing we need to know how does
this really affect us today you know
while the tah is of course full of laws
full of extraordinary parts of am's
History we always have to learn how to
apply these things to our lives today
how do we benefit from this parasha what
do we learn from it and in fact what
part of it has to do with us
today last but not least was Pinas
overly zealous or was he
righteous now we know from the beginning
of that agreed with his act and in in
fact blessed him but what is that actual
blessing mean these are some of the
things we're going to discuss tonight to
try to get a better hold of where's
what's going on so at the end
ofam gives the advice to to uh to balak
and he tells him
obviously the God of all gods the king
of all Kings does not want to curse his
people he's not going to allow it to
happen but if you want to defeat them
you have to get them to do something
that will put them on the bad side
themselves on the bad side of God and
elim their God hates
immorality so if you send your young
beautiful girl
and get those girls to sin with the
Jewish
people into marriage is the biggest
disaster you can bring to am is and
that's in essence what happened where
balak initially asked bilam would they
listen to me would my people listen to
me and actually send their daughters to
go sin with those Jewish people he says
well they listen if you send your girls
if you and the rest of the leaders
send your daughters you send the
princesses you send all of the uh uh uh
royalty along with them they'll follow
suit and that's exactly what happened
and that's who kosby was kosby was one
of the
princesses so of course we know that
they sent him and unfortunately the Trap
worked the trapped worked in the worst
possible
way and before the act of Pinas there
was a bigger tragedy tragedy that
happened from those girls where those
girls got am drink forbidden wine y y of
idolatry a wine of
idolatry they also got them to do things
that were immodest and
inappropriate with the uh uh with the
Jewish men and the uh and the non-jewish
girls and to the point where some of
them literally didn't want to leave
told kill all of those people that
sinned all of those people that
committed adult
idolatry which also meant that they also
committed immorality because the reason
why they committed the idolatry was not
because they believed in the idols just
like
the says that at the time of the bet
mikdash there were Jews that went and
served Idols how could this be that they
would serve Idols when they are seeing
open miracles the bet mdash on a daily
basis where there's a fire from heaven
comes down as
the in the first chapter talks about the
fire from heaven that would come down
and consume the Corban in the first bet
mikdash that fire that came down from
heaven was in the shape of a lion in the
second bet mikdash the fire was in the
shape of a dog and that's because the
second bet mikdash unfortunately was
under the control spiritual control of
the of the of the
Satan and that was in essence a symbolic
for to do for a period of nearly 300
years am said had the second bet mikdash
but they were in such a bad status
spiritually that every year theen would
die because theim would bind the kuna
they weren't picked they weren't chosen
to be
kimim they would actually buying
them so the status of Am was horrific
eventually LED to the destruction of the
bet mikdash but we're going to go back
nearly a thousand years before that to
this par a bigger tragedy happened a
bigger tragedy happened because we have
a situation
where am is sinning with these
non-jewish
girls tells mosu to kill all of those
people that
sinned the son joins in the son is the
loyal servant of Hashem joins in and
puts a special light on all of the
Sinners making it clear to identify the
Sinners and mosenu starts
killing mosenu starts killing and in
fact The Killing was a lot more than
what people
realize before Z decided to join in and
go to war against mosenu and against hem
as we we see from this week's when it
talks about K it talks about the it says
that they went to war they went against
hem it doesn't say they went against
Moshe so theim the commentators say why
does it say that they went against
Hashem when really they said bad things
about Moshe andon they didn't say
anything bad about Hashem that's to
teach us that anytime we speak
against against the T itself against the
opinion of T against
the leading rabbis
against against people that are
righteous we are speaking against
AEM you speak against the you're
speaking against AEM you're speaking
against the sages you're speaking
against theem you're speaking against
the tah itself you're speaking against
hem so kak is consider as if he spoke
against AEM the considered as if they
spoke against hem
Zim didn't realize he was joining
them when he decided to please the
people because his tribe came to him and
said listen Moshe is killing
us and he's not even Consulting with you
he's not discussing with you what kind
of leader are you you told us that
you're even greater than
him how great can you possibly be if he
doesn't even have to console with you
before before he kills
us so
Cosby uh
Z which was not really his
name
the page 82b says that Zim was a name of
uh mockery of embarrassment that was
given to
Shel who was actually one of the
grandson of yov he saw yov A's
face he was the son of
Shimon was hundreds of years
old but he was called Zim because of the
sin that he made because of the
relations that he had with
kosby that he lost his mind so much that
literally the Satan's wife took over his
body to the point where he committed so
much
intimacy with her that his seed became
like a rotten egg says
the but what led him to do
this why don't he just go and console
with mosenu and say listen
Moshe next time you kill one of my boys
talk to me first why did he just lose
his
mind how many people could have MOS who
possibly have killed to make this the
biggest tragedy
ever I mean technically
we see that the previous
senses that am is was counted from the
age of 20 until
60 was a little over
600,000 and the senses that's done in
this week's par P after this whole
tragedy is still around
600,000 so it says that 24,000 people
were
killed but that's doesn't really seem
like it it says that all of the
tribes had significant number of people
between the age of 20 and 60 with the
exception of the Shimon tribe where you
clearly see that their tribe has much
less than everybody else all of the
other tribes have 40 50 60
70,000 yep's two sons combined have
nearly
90,000 y has over
70,000 Shimon little over 20,000
literally it seems like the entire
24,000 were just
him if that were the case it wouldn't be
the biggest
tragedy so we have to ask ourselves a
question the last time we did a census
was many years before
this where are the kids how come the
numbers are staying the same we know
that in Egypt each time a woman gave
birth it was six kids at a time each
family had 60 100 200 kids those kids
grew up over a period of 40 years
certainly they grew up you would expect
the numbers to go up
somewhat a book that I
read started reading recently said that
during the
tragic times of the Jewish people of the
1800s around the time of the
Enlightenment movement when it came down
and decided to declare war against the
Torah and the Jewish people by the
Jewish
people where the reform movement began
Zionism
began and at that time there was
approximately two and a half million
Jewish people
in
Europe doesn't seem like much especially
when 100 years later there's a holocaust
that wipes out 6 million of them so we
see that in a period of nearly a hundred
years the number of Jewish people nearly
tripled just in
Europe so you would expect even more
growth in the desert now of course
everything is controlled by Hashem he
decides who what when and how
but if we look at the clear
numbers it doesn't look like much has
changed and that's why we need our sages
to give us
directions how is this such a big
tragedy that AOS decided to name an
entire par over it to end one and begin
one with this particular story and make
sure that people go over this issue at
least a couple times a
year when aosh told mosu
to kill the
Sinners he told them that each tribe has
judges and each one of those judges each
one of those
leaders has to kill his own
people and if they don't obviously
mosenu has to do
it who are these judges as we learned
fromat
to gave
the legal
system he gave birth to the legal system
we still use today different levels of
Court he told mosenu that he should have
judges for The
Thousands meaning every group of a
thousand should have a judge for The
Hundreds every group of 100 should have
judges for the 50s every group of 50
should have judges
and for the tents and it has to be
different judges for
each so
the in the 10th section number two gives
a simple
mathematics since there was 600,000 men
between the ages of 20 and
60 600,000 means that there was 600
judges for The
Thousands for The Hundreds since 600,000
divided by 100 is 6,000 that means there
was 6,000 judges for The Hundreds for
the groups of 50 there are 12,000 groups
of 50 and
600,000 and then there are
60,000 groups of
tens totaling
78,500
judges why do I need 78,500
judges because this is going to tell us
exactly how many people mosenu
killed while after this disaster 600,000
people were
left kazal teaches us in the
Yi that each judge killed at least two
people which means that no less than
157,00 Jewish people were
killed before the
plague before the plague took place in
24,000 more which means that between the
two you have over
180,000 Jewish people
die which is over
20% over 20 20% of the Jewish men died
in a matter of 24
hours in all of the time in all of the
history no such thing has ever
happened why did a judge us so
critically why was this so horrible that
he literally annihilated 20% of the
Jewish population in 24 hours we're not
talking about the overall population cuz
certainly there were kids and in below
20 years old there was women there was
Elder men but of the so-called uh uh
census that's constantly counted in the
Torah the people that are able to be
soldiers between 20 and
60 more than 20% of them were killed in
hours so by the time
Shimon the uh uh by time Zim from the
tribe of Shimon got the news there was
no way to ignore it there were
literally people being hung everywhere
after they would Stone them they would
hang them in order to make an example
out of them each and every single one
was an example those people hanging
everywhere when zimri saw
this he completely lost his mind and in
so many words decided to declare war
against
mosenu he took
24,000 people from his
tribe and he went to
mosenu on the way he saw
kby that also wasn't her real
name her real name was shilan
and she was
called because
the says page
82b that when the balak proposed the
plan
to get am is to sin by sending the
daughters to go sin with
them she volunteered first and she said
yes
Cosby slaughtered through me in
Aramaic slaughtered through me the
Jewish
people so she was a with a degree no
less than bam no less than
balak and as soon as Zim saw
her he convinced her to go with him she
said yeah but I'm looking for Moshe I'm
looking for the leader he says I'm
greater than him
he is from the tribe of levie I'm from
the tribe of
Shimon I'm older than him wiser than him
and she fell for the
trick and of course the ways of these
animals was to show dominance so he
grabbed her by the back of her head and
he that's how he walked around with her
not like you know people do today they
walk around oh cute oh yeah they walk
with their hands holding which is
completely forbidden according to the
tah a man is not allowed to show
affection to his own wife in
public needless to say to a woman that's
not his wife not let to hold hands not
let to kiss not let to
hug anytime you see anybody having a
picture them hugging their wife in uh in
uh public online if you're close to that
that person you should tell them there's
an in that you're not allowed to show
affection to uh to your own wife in
public needless to say have a picture of
it if you're not close to the
person perhaps you should send them the
Shi maybe they'll hear from me but
either way this unfortunately is this
ala is like in a lost and found in the
Jewish world because recently I've seen
more and more rabbis having their
pictures with their wives holding hands
and hugging each other in public I mean
you would think that the rabbis at least
would know but perhaps that's too much
to
ask
anyway
the toat tells us
that decided to do something he never
did
before
theim tell us
that this is the one time that aadh
punished without a
warning and he punished severely even
the sin of the golden calf did not have
such a severe
punishment nowhere in near amount of
people died time of the golden calf only
a few thousand people died and that was
literally worshiping an
idol during kak sure a lot of people
died but nowhere near the amount as this
not even
10% during all of the other times that
am sinned in the
desert not a single time was the
punishment anywhere near as severe as
this and I
would
guess that if you calculated all of the
punishments that they got in the
desert it wouldn't
total the amount of people that died
during this
time meaning this is greater than all of
the other punishments that happened to
am the desert over the 40
years
why the ramban says
in you behold because I am Holy is what
hasem says and the way that is
distinguishes themselves most
significantly from the Gentiles is to
the issues of morality how a man is
loyal to his wife how there's modesty
there's no promiscuity there's no into
marriage there's no premarital
relations even the permissible relations
are done with
Holiness and when that
Holiness is thrown in the
garbage and men are wasting
seed and men are priscu with non-jewish
women and needless to say priscu with
Jewish women that they're not married to
and women are promiscuous and all of
this happens aosh says this is turned
into Sodom and Gomorrah they're losing
their right to existem is and at this
moment aadh literally was about to
destroy all of
am that was the
decree when
pazar which interestingly enough it's
the first time we see in the Tora that
that someone has mentioned not only the
first name and the name of the father
but also the
grandfather this is because a wanted to
make sure that everybody knows that even
though
pazar was not
aen even though his grandfather was a
Quin his father was a
Quin he wasn't a Quin because decided
that aon's going to be aen his sons are
going to be but all of the other kids
that are alive at that time they're not
going to be Kim only the new kids only
the newborn kids
in the future they will
be which means
that P wasn't
a so people said yeah Pinas he's like uh
you know his grandfather's an idol
worshiper says no no
no he's
officially and for those that ask wait a
minute but you already had elazar as a
how can you have also p
if you look at
the multiple places where it talks about
the different service that they did at
the first and foremost you would find
out that there were
multiple there was a that was a the
person that uh would constantly be a uh
like on page 14 he was in essence
the replacement Coen if the first Coen
became impure or he died or anything
like that immediately they have a new
Coen G already ready and knows
everything but in the meantime he is his
right arm anything the quen needs he's
there on the night of yum Kip they're
both in different
rooms they're both preparing for the
next day even though they know who's
going to be the one that's supposed to
do the service the next day on for uh on
in case there's carry that comes out the
seed that comes out of him and he
becomes
impure the second Ken takes his place in
case something happens he dies in The
KES kashim second coin takes his place
but there was also another qu this qu
that was at go to Wars there were
multiple this
also answers the question of some people
that have mentioned that there is a Aral
that says that uh kak
eventually
when there's the the world will reach
its culmination after G Magog after
MH
arrives the good part of
korak after all of the bad part has been
burned burned in Gom for the last
3,334
years and however many years are left or
however much time is left before mashia
comes he's in Gom but whatever is left
at that point that's good that will come
back to the world and will get a job as
a qu Gul he won't be a above you'll be a
because there's
multiple so there's no contradiction
there point being is is that Pinas
becomes qu on his own Merit not because
of who his father is
but rather because of what he
did because
while decreed that the
Act was so
horrible that sodam and gomorah in the
generation of Noah was about to repeat
itself he stopped my wrath
why because he went to war for the sake
of
God so we have to ask ourselves does God
need us to go to Warf
him this is
answered in the beginning of the par
byus because while many people
unfortunately don't read books and they
only hear videos of people that don't
know how to quote any sources and just
simply say whatever crazy is in their
mind the way of tah is to learn from
sources not from our minds certainly you
could have your own
insights good things that you came up
with there's no problem with that but as
long as it doesn't agree with the
Tora problem is many
times people's ideas are
not so in the beginning of
says
that spoke with mhe he says P the son of
elazar the son of Aron turned back my
wrath from upon the children of Israel
when he zealously Avenged my Vengeance
among them so I did not annihilate the
children of Israel in my
Vengeance from there kazal tells us we
learn that when someone
rebukes when
someone for the honor of hem
he brings Mercy to the
world so if somebody asks the question
why did
Pinas decide to go take this battle on
why don't you just sit quiet because had
he sat quiet there wouldn't be a world
today not only there wouldn't be Amish
there wouldn't be a world
today so p
turn back my wrath so I did not
annihilate the children of isra and
therefore saying my name behold I am
sealing for him a covenant of
peace and it shall be for him and his
descendants after him a covenant of
Eternal K in return for that which he
took Vengeance before his
God
now anyone that looks at the verses it
says that
where he took Vengeance for his God
butos says no no no before his God not
for his
God
why why is
Ulus
interpretation slightly different
instead of four
before Rashi says it's for God meaning
that it's for the sake of
God to avoid implying that hem has a
need for the Deeds of his
Creations
ulos says before his God to make it even
more
clear because each time in the Torah
that it says for
God where it says to me
for
me uncos interprets it as before
me in order to avoid any indication of
equality between hasem and his
creations and this is particularly so
when the term appears in the context of
offerings or sanctifying something or
performing a service for hasem where it
might be Miss constru to mean that hasem
somehow has a need for it heaven
forbid to avoid any such misconception
OS clarifies that it is before Hashem
meaning for our benefit before
him meaning that anulus already was
fighting the Heretics of his time and
making sure to bring a cure before the
ailment so no one ever Imagines for a
second that Hashem needs anything
because to say that Hashem need
something is 100% AOS
heresy Rashi says the same
thing butos clarifies even
further now so from there we see
that the heroic Act of Pinas Ben elazar
Benin taking Vengeance before his
God was
not that God needed him to fight his
Wars same as God does not need us to
fight his Wars or for anything else for
that
but
rather he wants us to fight his
Wars because that shows us that shows
him that we love him that shows him how
much we believe in him that shows him
how much amuna we have in
him because
P
the said he knew he knew he was going to
die as a result of killing the leader of
the Shimon
tribe and 10 Miracles were
made for the sake of
pinhas in order to make sure he doesn't
die which included bringing him back
from the death because he did
die Pinas
killed Z and
Cosby and as soon as he did this the
soldiers of Zim entered and saw this
whole
thing they saw the
Spear of P go through both bodies of Z
and Cosby
together a miracle of its
own of how it went through
them through the reproductive
organs in order to make sure that
everybody knows that he was permitted to
kill them because they were in the
middle of the act of something that was
forbidden if they were not in the middle
of the ACT he's not allowed to kill
them but because they were in the middle
of the ACT he was allowed to kill
them and he killed them in such a way
that aadh miraculously made the spear go
through the organs where you actually
saw how this happened there was no
doubting it but because soldiers came in
from the fear of what's about to
happen he had a heart attack and
died brought back his n with
superpowers alongside it came back from
the dead and had such powers that he
took the spear with Zim with Cosby on
the spear lifted him up in the air with
one hand like a
flag throwing everybody out of the
way and running through all of the camp
of am
Isel to show them what he has in his
hand after showing all
of what just happened here to sanctify
kosh's name
Pinas
shows the real reason of why he did what
he
did as he throws the bodies on the
ground and cries out to
a and says for this for these two people
you killed all of your children
here meaning that the rebuke the protest
the zealousness at the highest possible
level wasn't
because pinhas wanted
something pinhas benefited in some way
but rather was because the extraordinary
pain that pinkas felt seeing his
brothers and
sisters die
spiritually and thereby physically as
well when he saw that his brothers and
sisters are making sins he saw
themselves literally committing
spiritual
suicide by being intimate with the Goot
by going to idolatry by being immoral by
doing all the things against hem he
already
sawes that literally this is the
annihilation of
am he saw this in
sh kazal also teaches us
that who gave the prophecy to see all of
this including what hasem thinks about
it including what happened with Zim and
kby including what Pinas did literally
like a quick to all of the leaders of is
the heads of the
S so when they see Pinas they give him
cavod because even though
by now they knew the they knew that he's
allowed to do
it unless they saw this in
Prophecy they wouldn't have been happy
with Pinas to the point where thear says
they would have put p on why you're too
zealous for us yes you're allowed to do
it but isn't there another way maybe you
could talk to them maybe could wait
maybe this maybe that
knew there's no time to wait had he
waited there wouldn't be
anom the other
rabbis good but they didn't have the
same level the same level of as P the
same level of Prophecy as P the same
level
as the same level as pain as Pinas had
when he understood the consequences of
everything that's
happening and miraculously showed them
all of this so they not only do not put
p
on but they actually give him great
honor and Pinas in addition to
that also saved am is
today how do he save am is today
the teach
us that when am
is started this whole thing they went to
shim shim is a place but the reason why
it's mentioned is because it symbolizes
that they got into they got into to
nonsense this
foolishness they started making
sins this led them one sin led to
another
to the point where they sinned with
these
Goot Pinas had
complete fear
of to do this he
was considered shalim
complete this is the reason why the page
66b says that the word
Shalom where hasem says
shom hem says that I'm going to give him
the Covenant of Peace if you look at the
seph T and most likely even if you look
at
your you'll see that the word
Shalom the
VAV in the word Shalom is cut into two
there's like a little part that breaks
the V into two pieces it looks like a
printing error but it's not a printing
error the says this is intentional this
is in the seph
T
because
aen that is not shal that's not complete
with
hem his
Coran are no
good if he brings a Corban but he is
impure even if he does everything right
is Kuan is not
valid if he thinks inappropriate
thoughts while he's bringing a kban kban
is not
valid if
he brings
aan he has to be complete with
AEM in order to teach
us that we too have to be shalim we too
have to be complete with
AEM and not partial not severed like the
VAV when we serve in our prayer we serve
in our we serve with
our we
serve with our we
serve with our learning it cannot be
seped it cannot be partial you have to
be complete with hem you have to try
your best every day every you do do your
best you going to pray pray your best
you do morning blessings do the best
learn to try your
best you failed try again your best you
failed try again your best every day you
try your best until you get to
completion until to you get to a point
of being shalim why because to be
incomplete because you simply didn't
succeed is one thing but to Simply
decide you're not going to do
it that's not good to say the
least gave this Covenant of Shalom to
Pinas to symbolize that
Pinas is Shalom he's complete he's
complete is
complete because that's the only way
that somebody could bring themselves to
be zealous that's the only way that a
person can bring themselves to truly
fight for hem and not for their own
honor not for their own righteous uh uh
ideas when you fight for the sake of hem
that means you're willing to sacrifice
everything even if you know you're going
to lose everything as a
result because the honor of hem is
greater than anything else you can
get and because of
that this
Act of
P was not only something that helped am
is in those
days but rather something that helped am
is
today when am sinned with the golden
calf knew that whatever rectification
they did was not enough
killing a few people saying I'm sorry it
wasn't enough and
therefore in every generation since then
anytime am gets suffering part of it is
because of the sin of the golden calf
because if he would give it to us in one
shot we wouldn't
survive this act of
immorality National
immorality the time of Pinas at the time
time of bakam over here was worse than
the golden calf we see from what the
punishment
was so how come nobody's talking about
how part of the reason of why we suffer
today is because of
this it was because the
act of
atonement by
Pinas was so
extraordinary what he did to sacrifice
the that he did knowing he's going to
die and still doing it knowing he's
going to lose everything and still doing
it knowing that no one else is going to
do it and still doing
it knowing that people are going to go
against him and still doing
it in fact even pining an in front of
his
Rabbi because when Zim came in front of
mosenu it was such a horrific
time that Moser Renu was
speechless when the
other judges the other diim of the S saw
that mosenu did not have a response they
thought that mhu doesn't know Tor they
thought maybe there's a mistake in the
Torah they didn't realized that mosenu
was in such Agony from the pain of
what's Happening Here from the
desecration of God's name such Agony
that he literally couldn't even
speak but people interpret it in a wrong
way they thought that maybe perhaps Z
knows more Tora
thanu that's why they started crying
hysterically Pinas sees this gets the
prophecy of what's actually at stake
here understands that literally the
entire nation is on the line right now
because of
this tells
mosenu my uncle weren't you the one that
taught
us that if a Jew sins with a
gentile and they're in the middle of the
ACT someone that's zealous and wants to
fight the wars of hem can kill
them says
yeah you said it Go fulfill the AL you
have the
Merit you have the Merit
says had P do it because that was part
of his T why didn't mosenu go and
fulfill this mitvah it's the only time
in history anyone fulfilled this Mitzvah
in such a way why wasn't mosenu zealous
to go fulfill the Mitzvah himself
because he knew that the T of P was to
fulfill
this it was his T he had to do it but
that means this the last time you ever
going to see
him saying go do it and saying
goodbye P knew he's going to
die and he's still going to do
it he's still going to do
it now
Pinas goes in
there and says an in front of his rabbi
says anyone that says an ala in front of
his Rabbi deserves a death penalty not
allowed to say an ala in front of your
Rabbi somebody asks a question you know
the answer but your Rabbi is there
you're not allowed to give an
answer if they ask you Hey listen uh are
you allowed to carry on Shabbat easy
question your Rabbi is right there are
you allowed to uh eat pork easy question
you know the
answer your rabbi's right there silence
you say ask the rabbi why you say in
front of your Rabbi you have a problem
so how come p is allowed to do it says
the and the first time I mentioned this
in the was about seven years ago eight
years
ago when they were bringing a missionary
to the Baton
synagogue and says in a place that
there's there is no honor given to the
r anytime there's a desecration of God's
name there's no consideration to the
honor of any Rabbi why because the honor
of God is much greater right now there
was a they were bringing a missionary to
the synagogue right now there was
a z was sinning with a non-jewish woman
in front of everybody making fun of the
sages making fun of mosenu making fun of
Hashem cares less about the
law there's no time here to give honor
to mosenu as great as mosenu
is p knows
the and goes and acts upon
it just like when sometimes people say
listen you said that
uh Rabbi such and
such is saying things against the
Torah and you called him a
heretic did you speak to him
first did you ask him to explain himself
first did you speak to a bed
first and get permission from them to
call this Rabbi a
heretic yeah yes I spoke R I spoke to
the I spoke to
thear I spoke to thei and the
bav yes spoke to them they told me he's
a heretic you don't need to speak to the
guy that's a heretic in order to confirm
he's a heretic if he says things against
the Torah that are as clear as day where
he says that God needs you or he says
that there is no gam and it's only a
parable
or he says that it's okay to drive on
Shabbat or it's okay to invite
missionaries to is you don't need to
speak to him or any di or any bed to
know that this is an
Aus you don't need to get
permission his heresy gave you
permission and an obligation to speak
against
him you must rebuke your fellow is not
you must rebuke your fellow after he
gives you permission to rebuke him
doesn't say You must rebuke your fellow
fellow after you get a you know a letter
with a stamp on it six months after you
sent it getting
permission if this desecration of a
kadosh whose name there is no honor for
any bed or any Rabbi or anybody why
comes first if somebody desecrates the
name of God publicly by making
statements that heretical you have not
only a permission you have an obligation
to speak against
them
obligation there's the rebuke and then
there's the Mitzvah
of protesting against the she protesting
against the lies it's not a nice deed to
do but rather it's the deed that saved
is where
P didn't wait to get
permission he didn't ask anybody what
their opinion
was he simply saw this is a tragedy of
all
tragedies Moshe you are the one that
told us this
ala yes you're right P didn't waste a
second he
went to go kill the guy and because of
that zealousness
that came out of pure love
for pure love for
is Agony and pain his heart break into
shreds as a kadosh whose name is being
desecrated Agony and pain as he sees his
brothers and sisters dying from a plague
from being hung from all horrible things
literally 20% of am is died in front of
his face there's no time to give honor
or ask for
permission
P he took back my wrath not took back my
wrath that one
time 3,000 years
ago but rather he took down my wrath
permanently as that act ended that day
unlike the golden calf which we suffer
for until this
day the act of P was so extraordinary in
the eyes of
a that it atones for it until this day
meaning had Pinas waited one more minute
had Pinas asked for permission wait for
some letter to come in the mail had P
waited for a sensus of people a quarum
of people to agree with
him the
atonement would have not been
enough and
literally am
is would have been at
risk to being completely annihilated
shom and therefore
says that this gift that aadh gave to p
is not just a gift of Eternal
K but rather an eternal
atonement for himself and for all of Cl
is for this particular horrific
sin one act saved am is not just that
one day but until
today this means rabot
that while the
evil are mentioned here as it says the
same a meaning the wicked in the
beginning the wicked in the end the
wicked back then and their version of
thean a in our generation is wicked
today the had beards the had hats the
were
rabbis people consider them important
a person has to
know the way you
determine whether something is right or
wrong is based on
Al if the AL
says allowed allowed ala says not
allowed not
allowed a rabbi asked me recently
Rabbi why do you say that such and such
is
heretic because
he socializes and does business with
Christians this is because the says that
you're not allowed to be within four am
six
feet of a
missionary if he's just a gentile no
problem but if he's a Christian
Missionary not even allowed to stand
next to
him needless to say be partners with him
in a business in a media
business needless to say times a million
invite him to your sh needless to say
times a billion make children's movies
and call them
Abraham not all to do these things a
come on where does it say
that page
17 the r pasin this way
so this
is yeah but I have so many people that I
know at work that are you know very uh
nice uh Christians they talk about their
religion all the time change
jobs if you can't simply stay away from
them don't talk to them about religion
there's no permission
to and needless to say don't invite them
to your house or to your synagogue
but it's interesting that people are so
focused on being
nice to people to the
community to the
other
religions that they simply forget to
look at the Al and see what's allowed
and what's not
allowed and just like the said
about someone that doesn't study
certainly is going to violate
it the same concept goes with
ideology someone that does not learn m
in order to ensure that his ideology is
in line with d is certainly going to
have a warped ideology if your
ideology is developed through a
combination of some Torah that you've
learned and the news that you've watched
you have the wrong ideology
if your ideology is developed from the
rabbis you've heard and the politicians
and newscasters you
watch your ideology is certainly not in
the right
direction if the Torah that you
learned is
mixed with your opinion that you don't
double check whether it's in agreement
with the Torah certainly your ideology
is not inl with theah why because the
natural
inclination of a
person is to have an ideology that's the
opposite of the tah because he's
influenced by
the and therefore a person must know if
you want to know how to think if you
want to know how to behave if you want
to know what to do under all
circumstance
es there's only one place to look at and
that's and if you're not a Torah
scholar with a rabbi and a k and diim
and all types
of readily easily available
access
to what's the truth then these are
contacts you have to make you have to
get yourself a rabbi
you have to become part of some type of
bet midash that you're learning every
day you have to learn Torah every day
why because without learning toah you're
never going to know whether you're doing
right or wrong you're never going to
know whether you're on a direct route to
heaven or to
gam because many times people depend on
simply what they hear from their friends
from their colleagues even if their
friends and colleagues are a completely
different
religion even if their friend and
colleagues may not even be religious at
all even if their friend and
colleagues are outright
upim Today We Live in such a
generation where
already says that during his time 200
years ago most of the rabbis in the
world were needless to say what's
happening in the world
today one student told me that
his local Rabbi
disagrees with our ways of telling
people
thatat cannot be counted in the
minan because he brought
him a couple of ideas that he heard
somewhere where he says yeah R mosha
Feinstein says that uh even if a Jew is
uh you can still count them in m
David says that uh if someone's a you
count them
in and he got him like you know a couple
of like one line here one line there and
the poor guy says oh wow I got to ask
Rabon how do we address
this told well it's easy read the rest
of the read the rest of what they wrote
read the
clarification if you read only what they
show you then surely you're going to
arrive at the same opinion as what they
said no one's going to show you black
and say it's
white but in the world of the Torah it's
an endless
ocean and therefore you have to double
check
everything you have to ask
yourself
if Feinstein says that you can
count how could all of the
say otherwise without any
consideration
if David says can be
counted how could he sleep at night
knowing that his
father one of the greatest rabbis that
ever lived not just in his generation
write multiple times and speak multiple
times of how this cannot
be how simple you go to
the
volume and you see what the actual is
and you see
how explains every
opinion and he
explains what ra M Feinstein was
referring to was that if someone's
aat and you don't have any other choice
you have 10 people one of the is and you
want to say kadish you can count that
guy while you're saying kadish he can't
say kadish but you can count them to say
kadish but you can't count them to bring
the Torah out and do what does as aan
just for the sake of saying kadish you
can count them for that but not to take
out the Tora to read the Tor to do all
the things that you do with a real minan
no just for the sake of St kadish that's
what was talking about
and his dear son David YF he's not
talking about you can accept everybody
to if no he's simply telling you if this
is a tragic
situation and there's a place where
there's only 10 Jews there's nobody else
none of these Jews know right or left
about to nothing they don't know
anything they just started learning what
Judaism is and a couple of them are not
keeping Shabbat you could still act as
if it's a minan with obviously many many
limitations as far as taking a to out
and all that stuff but that's under
extraordinary
circumstances but yet today
says in the world we live in today this
is not
applicable why because in the world
today where do Jews live they live in
Israel with every corner has a synagogue
they live inica America with bash every
Jewish Community has multiple
synagogues they live in Canada has many
synagogues they live in the UK many
synagogues
yes France half a million Jews full of
KS full of
yes this is not applicable today you
have a Yesa online it's called be.org
you have all types of Torah websites all
types of no one can say they don't know
what Judaism
is if they know they're Jewish that's it
they already know what Shabbat is you
can't count that guy in a minan if he's
driving on
Shabbat what David YF was mentioning was
extraordinary circumstances that existed
in a different time in a different world
not
today and if it exists today it's in
remote places where there's literally no
Jews and no knowledge of Judaism you
went to let's say the middle of Montana
your next door neighbor is a Mustang
horse that's what you
have okay in that case you have
something to rely
on but you don't live in
Montana you live in New York you live in
Baltimore you live in Los Angeles San
Diego you live in Houston
you live in Israel all over the place
you live in
London you live in Jewish
communities where where where do you get
the permission to Simply say that
everybody's a that you could just simply
count everybody Min
with so when you read
the and you read the
details you find out that the rabbis
that telling you no
no Feinstein said such and such such and
such either they're ignorant and they
themselves never read this they didn't
read the details they just you know they
heard it in a shoe they're watching shoe
him like you are they learned their
Torah to some you know little blog or or
or or or a five minute clip that's how
they learned their Torah and they call
themselves Rabbi either that or they're
Liars those are two options that I can
think of if you could think of a third
one we could add a third one too but it
certainly
is not a good option why because the
good
option it's as clear as
day it's as clear as
day even in
his feeling he's talking about
feeling he asks a
question what if a
heretic
writes guy says God needs you guy says
that you could violate Shabbat and
there's no
G can you use
those basic level
Judaism brings the
of brings the
of brings the of all
of and they unanimous
which is you cannot use
those it's a mitv to burn
them if a
heretic writes a
se he has really good
handwriting really nice
handwriting beautiful
SE instead of selling it to you for
100,000 is wor to Salty for
5,000 can you use
it the
Rin so does so
does so does everybody
else a
not a Christian Missionary not an
idol worshipper because if they write a
also it's a mitv to burn
it but if he's like a nohide nice guy he
didn't know he's not allowed to write a
se he decided to write a
se you take it and you bury it wait but
but when the Jew that says God need that
says there's no G he
writes you say burn it
the non-jew believes in
God it's not a idol worshipper he writes
you also not let to use it but you
telling me don't burn it
no why because the heretical Jew is
worse than the
non-jew because the
non-jew he's righteous he's just not
allowed to
write so you can't use it so you better
it but a heretic and not
because it's the worst of the
worst when a Jew violat
Shabbat the mentions it a half a dozen
times the mentions it 12
times the Ramba mentions it also about a
half a dozen times
the countless times the Z many times
everybody
agrees a Jud that violat Shabbat drives
on Shabbat drives to sh on Shabbat
drives to Gom on Shabbat drives to work
on Shabbat he's considered 100% an idol
worshipper cannot be counted in the
minan
in
fact this is such basic level
Judaism that if you actually bring this
to any real they're going to look at you
funny like you really have these
questions or you just a
board because this is like my
six-year-old knows this my four-year-old
knows
this yeah but the rabbi that's leading a
community of 500 people doesn't know
it so perhaps his teacher is
if his teacher was Pinas he would
know does not need us to fight his
Wars but he
certainly wants us to because that will
show that we know where we
stand that we know we depend on him we
need him we love him we fear him we
believe in
him and when we're complete with him
it's going to be easy for us to fight
the wars of
God with that being said I'm going to
get a great quick drink and then you
guys can ask some questions am I allowed
to make the tie on my head scarf on
Shabbat uh yes if uh the you're tying
something that's not a permanent knot
then you're allowed to on Shabbat the
the knots that are the tying and
untying that's forbidden on Shabbat if
it's permanent so if it's let's say for
example somebody is H tying a boat
that's forbidden on Shabbat because the
ties of a boat the way you KN it is that
it's a permanent knot but if somebody is
tying a head scarf certainly that's not
a permanent knot because you're going to
take it off later that day or probably
uh uh later that hour even sometimes so
it's not a permanent kn
no
problem Sarah is asking how do you know
if a rabbi is or real
Rabbi uh the most important thing for a
person to to do in their life is to make
sure they have a rabbi but the way that
they know that the rabbi that they chose
is the right Rabbi the
in page 17b says first and formost most
they have to have good midot they have
to have good midot they have to be
caring they have to be patient they have
to be clear you know they they have to
want your best and not necessarily want
from you all the time uh that's number
one number two they have to be
well-versed meaning they don't
necessarily need to know everything off
the top of their head but they have to
have enough that if they don't know the
answer to something that you ask them
then they're going to tell you I'll get
back to you I'll find out for you and
I'll get back to you they don't pretend
to know everything if they know it they
give you the answer they give you the
source if you uh uh uh if you need the
source uh but they didn't give it to you
you ask them for it they'll get you the
source within reasonable time frame they
they give you information they give you
the answers not just out of the top of
their head where they're pretending like
they know they tell you this is the
answer this is the place you will find
the answer that I'm telling you uh it's
in such and such book they tell you that
the name of the book uh if they're uh
well versed enough they could even tell
you the page uh and if they're Real
Genius they'll even tell you the number
of line and word but the point is not
you know most rabbis are not going to
know everything but they'll know just
enough for the basics and the things
that are more complicated or that
require more research they have to have
enough uh uh self-confidence and also
more than anything else fear of hem that
they're not going to pretend like they
know the answer and just throw an answer
to you they're going to tell you listen
I don't know the answer I'll get back to
you I have to double check I have to
double check and they get back to you
and they give you the answer so if your
Rabbi is willing to get to do that where
they're they're able to give you the
answer they know where to find the
answer they know how to tell you that
they don't know the answer and that
they'll find the answer for you you're
already in the right direction but if
you have a rabbi that is a uh only uh uh
good at giving you stories and giving
you all types of speeches but is not
interested in your questions is not
interested in helping you with questions
pretty much he's only interested in your
money he's interested in uh you
listening to everything he says without
uh uh without any uh uh uh questions or
or
doubts that's not usually a good uh
Rabbi but it's not necessarily the are
people that are going to make up answers
meaning they're simply going to give you
a a
philosophical uh speech about every
question that you give them they always
have an answer for everything and
generally speaking they never mention a
real Source they'll state general stuff
like they'll say well the rebi said such
and such what do you mean the rebbi said
the rebbi said a lot of things where did
the rebbi say or he said it in one of
his that's the same thing I saying the
rabbi said what do you mean in a where
in his oh you know in the
what do you mean you know how many he
did in that year that what are you
talking where which book what page
number where can I get this where can I
find what you're saying in a book and
even more so how come all of the answers
are from one single Source why don't you
mention the foundation of Judaism why
don't you mention a why don't you
mention the why don't you mention the
the the the uh the rambam why don't you
mention everything else why is
everything only one source so when
somebody says to you the rebi said this
the rebi said that that's not a good
sign not because the rebbi was lacking
shom but rather because the the rabbi
that's telling you the information is
lacking because they don't really know
the answer they're just pretty much they
know you don't know and therefore
they're depending on the fact that if
just simply say the rebi said it or
another way they say we learned such and
such where inid where which book The bov
RAB
Rabin who who said it where did they say
it oh you know it's in where oh the T
where in T I have the book T show me
which page show me which M and in
reality they don't know they're just
throwing names at you to sound educated
this is like the in the business world
this is like name droppers you know
people that pretend to be
successful uh or they simply are
yearning to uh to to get honor from
people they pretend like they know a lot
of people so they drop names oh yeah you
know such and such businessman and such
and such banker and such and such uh uh
you know I don't know wall streer and
such and such lawyer and they throw all
types of names and then if they really
want to seem educated they start
throwing names of authors all types of
authors oh yeah I read that book over
there by such and such and that book by
such and such and that one and then they
start throwing oh yeah sunzo you've seen
sunzo right yeah sure the order of War
like it's all nonsense these are name
droppers these are fakers if you're
speaking to
somebody every I've ever met is always
going to quote the foundations before
they quote any particular Rabbi they're
going to quote the foundation they're
going to quote the they're going to
quote the they're going to quote the the
the rambam sure the great rabbis but
they're well versed in a lot of
different things and that's one of the
things that uh many people don't realize
they don't realize that when somebody is
teaching toah they're obligated to
provide you a source it's not just a
nice thing to do it's not just the uh
well-learned people do it even if
you'rea 13 14 years old and you want to
give your family a Shabbat for five
minutes you have to tell them where did
you get the story where did you get
whatever you're saying where did you get
it from can't say Oh I thought about it
myself you didn't you're a liar no one
thinks about anything by themselves you
heard this somewhere you read it in a
book your Rabbi told you uh some you
heard it
somewhere if you if you're if it's King
by yourself that means you're either a
liar or you're a angel either way we
don't believe
you why because when you steal sources
meaning you're saying that you know
something that you got it and it's from
nowhere that means either you're a thief
or a
liar because it's the m
says that
when Esther told that his life is at
risk because two of his servants want to
kill him she said it in the name of M
because m is the one that told her and
the mishna says from there we learn that
anyone that says what they know in the
name of where they heard it they're
bringing salvation to the world and
anyone that says things that they heard
from somewhere they read somewhere but
they don't mention the source they're
actually delaying the Salvation they're
delaying
mashiah so there's a significance
importance uh to actually bring sources
now again you don't necessarily need to
know the entire Torah and everything by
heart to to be able to uh to lead a
congregation or be a rabbi you just need
to know that you have to be honest
meaning you may know the answer but you
don't remember the source but you tell
listen this is where I heard I don't
remember the source or if you need the
source I'll go for find out for you you
know how to get it you know how to get
the source or if you don't know the
source say listen this is what I know
but I don't remember the source fine but
generally speaking the more you speak
the more you teach the more you're going
to remember these sources the more
people going to ask you questions so if
the rabbi that you're listening to
doesn't bring you any sources he doesn't
tell you where he heard this story or
where he read this ala and he just
simply talks and talks and talks and he
just simply tells you what to do but he
doesn't tell you who told him what to do
and how does he know what he's saying is
true that's a very big problem why
because more times than not if you're
going to double check what he's saying
to you you're going to start seeing
mistakes now still again that doesn't
necessarily mean he's
100% that just means he's a problematic
Rabbi that he shouldn't be a rabbi but
to know for sure that he's an is if he
has terrible midot
if he has bad mote where he looks at
women that are not his wife he's an
immodest person is a uh he he uh
publicizes pictures of women that are
not uh modest he's into that stuff then
obviously he's not good uh if he does
things that are not Kosher like he
gambles or uh he goes to inappropriate
places he uh he has a a potty mouth
where he says things that are forbidden
certainly he's a very serious problem uh
another way is if he simply contradicts
the Torah if he says things that uh the
Torah doesn't say where he says things
that are considered heretical where he
says God needs you or he says that
there's no punishment that God loves you
no matter what these things are
heretical which means that you need to
learn in order to know what he's saying
is right or wrong you need to know
enough but usually every Jewish n has a
you know sort of like a radar where they
know if somebody's lying to them or not
they know that if somebody's saying to
them is true or not so usually if
something doesn't sound good to you then
it's good for you to double check you
could either double check by asking that
Rabbi to give you a source for what they
said tell you what's the name of the
book uh that uh that he read this in and
and if you could see it if you could you
know tell the name of the book and the
page number and you could go open the
book yourself and see that what he said
is the same thing that says in the
book or you could ask another Rabbi that
is a Torah scholar that's and tell him
listen Rabbi such and such told me
this is he right if the other Rabbi says
uh yeah no problem it's it's right
because it's in uh he gives you the
source then good but if he says no it's
not right uh I have a different opinion
then you have to go back take what the
second Rabbi said say listen I I
told the other Rabbi what you
said and he has a source that says the
opposite you said God needs you he says
there's a million places in the Tor it
says God doesn't need
you so can you give me a source that
shows that what you're saying is right
that God needs you where where which
book says God needs you oh it's a Mickey
Mouse book Mickey Mouse is not tah
Mickey Mouse is not tah Pokemon Pokemon
is not
is a is an ocean where has a lot of
books I have many books of in the house
tell me which one I'll open it oh it's
not in in your imagination oh okay so
you're you're so again it's important
for a person to know that if a person
says things that are against the T he's
100% unless once he finds out that he
said things that are wrong he apologizes
and he corrects himself then he's just
simply a regular person made a
mistake if you show him that he made a
mistake and he says oh you're right I
made a mistake I'll correct myself okay
he's not he's a good
guy but if he says no no you you just
you're just not you just don't
understand you just don't understand
then he's more in line with the idol
worshippers than he is with
Judaism so
the are people that change the Torah
they change the Torah in order to make
people like them they change the Torah
in order to get people to give them uh
all types of uh honor they change the
Torah in order to be popular they change
the Torah in order to make it a more
sellable and those people are so you
have people that are connected to things
that are not
modest certainly they are very
problematic people and almost 100% of
the time they're people that are saying
things against the Torah if they're not
going to correct themselves they the
third thing is people that connect with
Idol worshippers and don't see a problem
with it meaning they're inviting the
other Idol worshippers Christian
missionaries to synagogues or they are
uh uh you know they're they're they're
doing things together with those other
people that are in so many words enemies
of God and enemies of the Jewish people
and they don't see a problem with it
100% of why because if you truly love
your father in Heaven if you truly love
his children
am why would you want to be
friends why would you want to be
partners why would you want to be
associated with someone that's an enemy
of God and is trying to bring his people
to idol worship why I mean any normal
Jew any any normal person even if he's a
non-jew that loves
AEM when they hear that somebody's an
idol worshipper and is trying to bring
Jewish people and different people to
idol worship immediately they get upset
so if you're friends with those people
and you're inviting them to your house
and your Sho and everything else for
sure you're
an as says in
Proverbs a person is judged based on who
he praises if he
praises the big rabbis theim that's a
good sign if he praises the Pope the
chief Idol worshipper if he praises the
uh the uh
yes then obviously that's who he is he's
also a uh yeshu he's a little
yeshu so the people need to know that
there are people that
are but you're only going to know if the
if you're gonna go through this
checklist
there's also a Shure that we made
several years ago probably five six
years ago uh it was actually two in in a
row where it says who are the it was
part of the uh
series who are the in there we go over
the uh the uh the Z that talks about who
the are what are they uh how do they act
what do they believe in and there more
details over there uh and uh generally
speaking it's going to be like the
things I mentioned to you now but
there's going to be obviously more
details uh over there ER are more
concerned with getting rich they're more
concerned with being popular they're
more concerned with being liked they're
not concerned about the Torah they don't
care about the Torah they use the Torah
as an acts in order to succeed in order
to make money in order to be popular
they don't use the in order to help
people they don't care at all about
helping people they care about helpings
so that's in essence
the uh okay next
question who made kazal okay so kazal is
an acronym meaning it's a uh in Hebrew
it's
called means that it's it's multiple
words that instead of writing all of the
words they took the first letter of each
word combined it and then they put a
little uh uh apostrophe on it to tell
you that this is really not a real word
this is a multiple words at once and
kazal is three letters which means it's
three different words
means means our
sages means may they be remembered with
with blessing may their memory be a
blessing so who are kazal who is
kazal kazal is the sages that lived in
the past the ones that lived at the time
of RAB AKA uh the the times of the gar
the times of the Z the times of the like
the ramb the
ran uh uh the uh
the uh this is
all of the sages that lived in the past
in those those times that's in essence
kazal now of course some people uh they
break it down into different times of
kazal meaning you have kazal which are
the the main ones that are the ones that
are mentioned in
the in the
Mish so you have
RAB ra uh you know all of those great
sages that are in and there's many of
them uh so that's in the mishna then you
have the that's that's the
main then you have also the uh the
geonim the geonim lived about a thousand
years ago uh so you
have is one of them after that a couple
of hundred years later you have theim
theim are the rambam Rashi
ramban
R those are
there's obviously there's more I'm just
giving you a few names there's many more
has many many many many
many uh then you have the more recent
great sages which are called so the
means the first
sages after after the sages of
the so it's from the earlier era name is
earlier era which is about a thous 800
900 years ago and it goes up until about
let's
say 300 years ago so you have a big
period of time there's like a there's a
map that I have with it tells you the
period of the different uh sages the uh
the zot the T
the you know eventually you get to the
then you have
the and this uh the main ones that we
have our information from is is from the
tal and also
the and also the theim are more recent
sages uh and uh you have let's say the
uh uh theim is you know people that
lived let's say in the last couple
hundred years uh you have that so all of
them are in essence considered kazal as
far
as but if somebody wants to be more
particular they're going to consider
the as the ones that lived at the time
of the and before it and before it uh
but if you're talking about let's say
for example uh the times of uh of the
prophets that's the times of the
prophets that's not kazal that's even
before
kazal okay so kazal is the the ones that
uh gave us the the mishna the the all of
the teachings that we have uh in the
world that we learned from but before
that you had the uh uh you know the
prophets that's in the uh tanak you have
the the prophet uh uh Jeremiah Zacharia
uhel Isaiah and so on uh and then you
have obviously uh you know the aot you
have David you have abrah and yob these
are our forefathers but you also have
you knowu yeshu and so on now also one
thing actually I could tell you uh that
I forgot to mention before is that seven
times seven times in the
Torah says that he's giving a breit he's
making a special deal a special deal
with a person seven times and uh those
uh uh seven times are with
Abraham
yov um
M uh is also
David and then you have uh um
pinhas Pinas meaning that this Shalom is
only the seventh time seven time oh also
Aon moson and uh and Pinas only seven
times made a special deal with an
individual
uh
um Moshe Aon David and Pinas seven times
in the entire Tor hasem says I have a
special breit special deal Covenant with
somebody so Pinas it was a very very
special person to say the least and
that's why the uh says is he never
died good
questions uh let's see
next Rashi says the women convinced the
men to hold
Idols to their butt but they went
to but while they went to the bathroom
uh yes so the uh the the the Bal uh
which was the uh the idol uh that they
were uh worshiping the the uh the
midianites were worshiping
the uh says anyone that uh served this
Idol uh would get a death penalty but um
if somebody did something to uh to serve
it but uh you know intentionally they
would get death penalty but what if
somebody did something to uh you know to
make fun of it make fun of it then it
all depends it all depends so for
example if you go if somebody goes and a
uh they don't uh pray to Yos they throw
a rock at Yos so that's obviously
desecrating that uh that statue of of of
Yos so that's not serving him but if
somebody bows to Yos that's a problem
that's idol
worship with the Bal the way that they
would actually serve the Bal is they
would
defecate they would
do you know they would do number two on
them and in fact in fact the more they
did on them the more holy they
considered it that's that's how they
served their Idol B and uh the what the
women did of the midianites they uh uh
in order to entice the uh the Jewish
people to uh uh to do this disgusting
thing they would uh give them wine to
get them a little drunk and then they
would uh take off their clothes and tell
them listen if you want this if you want
to be you know then I uh you have to
serve this Idol so they would arouse
them and try to get them to do something
stupid by um you know making them want
to sin so say what what do I need to do
do I have to pray to him he goes no no
you need to uh
defecate now the problem is that even if
the people didn't mean to serve the
idol the fact that they did it is still
considered serving the idol and the says
still get punished for it uh but that's
in essence how they serve the idol then
after they would do that they would make
sins with them even more sins but this
would actually uh even if somebody uh
meant it in a mocking way they would
still acquire the Tuma from that evil
act and would affect them and they would
end up making even more sins after that
and many times uh you know the uh the
people that fell for
this they uh they wouldn't want to leave
it they would actually become addicted
to this Idol to do do this disgusting
thing idol worship is Al always
disgusting uh that's why in a uh
in uh the uh which the first paragraph
of was written by Yeshua the last line
of alen was written by his wife
ra and uh the uh the the thing is though
is as far as the
uh it talks about how idol worship is uh
G is is is it's it's it's number two
meaning
that is saying that idol worship is the
equivalent of feal
manner waste that comes out of the body
that's what it
is um
the things that people do for idol
worship is irrational but they use their
minds to
rationalize uh doesn't mean it's right
though so the thing is though with idol
worship is that uh
the uh says that we're not allowed to
be within six feet of someone that is a
mean someone that's a like a Christian
Missionary not all to stand next to them
and uh and the reason why is because
even if they uh say they won't talk
about it they can't help themselves
because once somebody is uh is is part
of idolatry the Tuma the impurity that
comes from an idolatry in essence takes
over the person uh and and and
influences the person to do things that
are completely irrational where they
can't control themselves that's why
religious
Christians even if they don't mean to
they missionized they try to get people
to idolatry even if you don't listen I'm
a religious Jew I'm not interested in
your religion they're not going to stop
okay okay we're not going to talk about
it today five minutes later they're
talking about it why they can't help
themsel this is why
in it was a story of two that were on a
Fork Road and uh they had to choose to
either go right or left in order to get
to where they wanted to go but on one
side they had a uh a church of idol
worship and on the other side they had a
uh house of prostitution of of of you
know non- modest things and uh the they
chose to go next to the not modest
things and that path why so said this
is that uh even though the uh not modest
thing and idol worship are both
bad the idol worship is worse because
the prostitution
house he goes by there and he could
close his eyes even if the women come
outside he could simply close his eyes
and pass through it and maybe they're
not going to be there maybe they're not
going to come out the point if they come
next to him and as long as he passes and
he doesn't stay he doesn't talk to them
he doesn't do anything there it's not
going to affect him whereas the place of
idolatry
even if no one comes and talks to you
it's still going to affect you in some
way or another passing by it needless to
say if somebody comes and talks to you
why Mas means that when someone is
connected to missionizing for for
idolatry they literally they they they H
they can't control themselves they have
to missionized they have to preach
idolatry they have to constantly do
things that are connected to this
idolatry their whole life uh revolves
around it to the point where rational
and irrational are uh there's not much
of a difference between the two they'll
do all types of things just to get their
point across this is the reason how you
know why uh you know people that
considered themselves religious
Christians murdered the Jewish people in
the Holocaust because they believed that
this was the uh you know what was needed
to to happen
now of course I know this is part of the
uh the church doesn't like to talk about
and a lot of people don't like to talk
about this but that's the reality people
that were religious Christians were part
of the Nazi army were part of the uh the
the the problem and they actually
thought that they were doing the better
good by killing Jews when uh the the
Jewish people cried out to the
pope you know one of the leaders of the
uh of the Christian world uh to help
them he stayed silent you know it's a he
didn't uh he didn't help them uh like he
was supposed to or like uh like the
so-called loving uh religion that he has
does uh they uh they stay you know they
they pretended like they helped but in
reality they didn't help didn't help uh
so it's a the thing is though is that uh
even in the world today there's a lot of
confusion about what to think about all
of this Christian support that Israel
gets you know where you know the
Christians are donating uh and investing
a lot of money in Israel and a lot of
people think oh yeah this is really nice
of them they're helping us no no they're
not helping you they're investing in
order to missionized because part of
their beliefs is that they have to
either convert all of the Jews or kill
all of them whichever one happens
because they believe that all of the
Jews are either going to convert to
Judaism or they're going to die they
don't believe that we could just live in
peace once they're so-called Messiah
comes it's either die or convert to
Christianity that's the belief that's
the core foundational beliefs of
Christianity you know and that's the one
of the things that a lot of people don't
understand it's in their books you know
they say yeah no it's 144,000 people
going to let be left yeah 144,000 people
that means a complete Annihilation it's
worse than the
Holocaust so that's in their books now
some no but I don't believe that so wait
so you follow the New Testament but you
don't believe the New Testament I don't
understand either you follow it and you
believe it or you don't follow it and
you don't believe it and that's the
problem you're never going to find two
Christians that are alike because many
of them are simply following the
footsteps of whatever preacher or Pastor
tells them uh and the more extreme ones
are uh are very very big anti-semites
they hate Jews and they do it openly and
the ones that invest into Israel
it's not because they love Jews but
rather because they believe that their
job is to convert the Jews to idol
worship or to eventually be part of
their Annihilation one or the other
they're not going to admit it but that's
really what it is that's in their books
that's in their belief system that's
simply the reality so obviously it
doesn't make sense because many times
you'll find very very nice Christian
people that don't believe what I just
said they don't believe they need to
kill the Jews in fact they themselves
believe that they could coexist with the
Jewish people they don't want to be part
of some Annihilation they don't want to
be part of of killing any Jews and they
don't even necessarily think they need
to
convert that's very nice of them problem
is that's not really what their belief
system is meaning they believe that but
the books they follow don't the New
Testament says what it
says they have their own version of
Christianity meaning the New Testament
is by far the most anti-Semitic book
that exists in the
world that's the New Testament it's an
anti-semitic book it's a book that hates
Jews especially the religious Jews the
which they call the pharas sites they
the Pharisees which are the
sages that's that's the New Testament so
they're not going to tell you that they
hate Jews they're going to tell you they
love
Jews because if they told you what
they've been telling us for the last
2,000
years it's not going to work so well it
didn't work so well in the last couple
thousand years but that's the truth so a
person needs to know
that rational and irrational do not play
a role in the world of idolatry in the
world of
idolatry Mas Mas means that the
missionizing mentality and ideology is
what pulls a person to do what they do
meaning their end goal their end agenda
of missionizing and and converting Jews
to Christianity because the whole thing
doesn't make any sense or rational sense
for them to even missionized the Jews
because there are very few Jews in the
world go to the Chinese there's two
billion of them go to the Hindus there's
two billion of them go to the Arabs
there's two billion of
them go focus on uh you know all of them
why do you bother with the few million
Jews that are in the world that's
because again rational and irrational
play don't do not play a role in
idolatry it's all minut it's all a
spiritual
deformity and uh this is also the reason
why when a uh when a Christian lets
himself really
think lets himself really think and
actually double check his
beliefs more times than not he ends up
leaving his religion and many times he
ends up uh um sub joining
Judaism because once he questions his
belief system he can't uh he can't
understand why he believes what he
believes all right
um first time I got to watch the rabbi
won't be the
last uh let's
see strange things are happening with my
computer here not sure what's going on
okay wasn't there a supernatural energy
of lust on Cosby to mislead a man uh
yeah I mean generally speaking any time
that a uh a person uh is uh enticed to
sin the says
in
that is a spiritual Spirit of
foolishness uh spirit of impurity comes
to that
person even more so with the uh
non-jewish uh people that uh can have
that literally on a permanent basis
a non-jewish woman that entices uh
Jewish men to sin with her is uh
literally like a servant of the Satan's
wife uh and she's uh a uh both murdering
uh the the soul of the Jew as well as
her own soul because she's not going to
be rewarded for it uh in the next World
she'll be punished for it but in this
world she gets certain benefits for
making uh these uh sins because in
essence the Satan tries to entice her to
do even
more what about the kabad rabbi to asked
you about carrying on
Shabbat uh well the uh not have to carry
on Shabbat unless again you have a u if
you live in U but there was a rabbi that
um asked me you know a couple of
questions I thought that he you know he
should know but uh interestingly enough
you know when uh I showed him some uh
sources he was you know uh in one case
actually he still rejected it because he
you know had his own beliefs even though
they were sourceless in another case he
said okay you know what I'm going to
change my ways and uh he wasn't a kabad
guy though the one that changes ways
unfortunately wasn't a kabad
guy let's
see uh
screen keeps moving
uh what's the difference between Rashi
and
R uh it's considered correct or why ah
okay it's a very good question so uh
the Rashi and
ruin are in essence exactly the same as
far as what's written in them theot that
are in the tah uh that both use are
exactly the same the only difference is
is the order of the parot the order of
the parot that in R are different than
theot of
Rashi uh so uh not only the way that
they put them into the uh um into the of
there's four compartments in
of and uh they put them in a certain
order but also the way they're written
where even though they're all they're in
essence if you look at the scroll of the
of Rashi and you're not necessarily
going to be able to tell the difference
but the way that the Scribe writes them
is that he'll write uh the the first uh
first uh two par skip you know leave an
open area for the third write the fourth
and then
go uh so but in Ence it's it's it's the
same just different orders now uh
generally speaking the the custom of is
that uh uh since the AL an obligation
for a Jewish to uh put on Rashi every
day that's the
obligation if a man is married he should
start putting on
R if he's married he should put rabu and
you know it's Rashi you put Rashi on you
say say the when you put rash
on as the way it goes is that you put
the before you pull the knot uh before
you pull the string to tighten it on
your arm you say the blessing then you
pull the string so it's right you know
so in essence you're fulfilling a mitvah
after the
blessing then you put the wraps around
your arm uh if you don't have uh a long
string where it won't reach uh you won't
be able to do seven rounds on your arm
uh it's okay even to have one and go
straight to your finger but if most
feeling today the strap is going to be
long enough that you're going to be able
to go seven rounds on your arm then you
wrap it around your hand then you put
the uhin of the of the head without a
blessing during this time you don't
talk uh you put the ones on your head if
you're
ashkanazi uh you do a blessing at that
time a Second Blessing but if you're
there's no blessing then after you put
the head on
you complete the armed by putting the
one on your uh finger and you're uh and
then you obviously do the and so on
that's the rash now uh that's every Jew
is obligated to do that uh people that
are converting should start putting on
to fill in about a month before the
conversion date meaning once they have a
a conversion date with the bedine set
they should get themselves a pair of
uh highend and start putting Onin before
that they should not put Onin uh but uh
that's a uh Rashi now that fine you put
on every day except Shabbat and
holidays uh as far as
r r are put on by married people with
the exception of kabad that they
recommend to put it on even for
non-married people but many of theim
uh disagreed with kad's customs of
putting Ru on non-married people because
of the issues of impurity and how people
waste seed and they're not able to uh be
spiritual clean when they're not married
uh but you know kabad has its own uh
Customs anyway the uh the rest of Cl
that puts on
R they put them on after the uh the
Rashi you the ideal time to put it on is
after you completed the
entire you
finished then you put on
the uh some people have the custom of
putting it the
r uh when there
is where you finish and then the the the
khazan is going over the uh the amid
again uh this is not a good Customs
that's R says it's not a good idea to do
that unless you're able to put on the
before the
starts
the the repetition of because you're
supposed to listen to the repetition of
d as if you're praying it yourself
you're not supposed to chitchat and joke
around or do other things you're
supposed to listen to the as if you're
saying it yourself so to put on your
while while thean is doing the again is
not the right way so unless you know for
sure that you'll be able to put them on
before the
uh you should wait until the end of
theid uh and um and then put on the uh
the but that's again only if you're
married now the r you do not do a
blessing on them you're forbidden from
doing a blessing on them and in fact
anyone that puts
on should it's if you haven't done it
already then obviously do this now but
if you if you haven't bought yet uh and
uh you know you you want to uh then
before you put on the first time think
in your mind you don't have to make a
public statement you just think in your
mind that you're only putting on
this in
case is
like but if it's not like then this is
just straps it's just straps of letters
meaningless you have to do that and not
think that you are actually fulfilling a
separate Mitzvah anyone that thinks that
they are doing two separate MIT it's a
mistake it's not you're not fulfilling
two separate mitv the only reason why we
do is because in case the is like even
though the here is rash there's a where
it could
be so because of that risk because ra is
so great we put
on and we think in our mind that at
least one time uh in our life that if
this is the uh law then this I'm putting
on to filling that I made on my
Rashi is for the sake of this that I'm
putting on now this is also another
another reason why you're not allowed to
chitchat during your prayers because if
you're breaking up your prayers with all
types of chitchat with people it's a
problem it's breaking up the uh the
blessing so the blessing that I made for
the Rashi prayer is in essence counting
for the ru but
is not then I'm just putting on straps
of leather on me I'm not doing anything
it's meaningless and that's actually the
the the now ACC to the cist according to
the the according to uh uh
um the
the the uh sanctity
of is higher than
Rashi it's not that it's the AL to be
like R the AL is like crash but if
someone is going to be studying t with
on they should do it
with with not because they have a higher
level of sanctity uh than R but that's
again only if you can stay focused on
the fact that you're learning to and you
can remember that you have at all times
and you're going to only do uh Torah and
not socialize if you're going to
socialize if you're going to you know uh
you know eat and drink and uh you know
and play with your computer don't put
on uh at that time you know only do when
you're completely focused but the point
is is that the the difference between
the
two for the regular average person
you're not going to be able to tell the
difference but the way that the scribes
WR the way that the scribes write them
is that it's the same of the same
segments of the Tor just in different
order of how they write them and also
how they put them
into the uh the the compartments of the
uh of the also to to symbolize that one
is RAB and one is Rashi the strings the
little extra strings uh that look like
it's a mistake but it's not really a
mistake are slightly to the left on one
and in the center on the other so
there's small difference differences
between the two generally speaking
unless you learn of you're not going to
be able to tell any difference
whatsoever between the two so that's why
today the uh when you have usually the
box that covers them has on it Rashi
orash now some people that have uh the
uh the uh uh uh you know ability to get
uh and also the uh uh the ability to do
they put on both F at the same time I
would not recommend this at all did not
recommend this and the reason why is
because most people uh don't uh know the
laws well enough where they don't
realize that if they don't put the two
perfectly where they are then they're
not fulfilling the Mitzvah at all why
because theine can't just be anywhere
you want they have to be at a specific
place in your head and if theine are too
big or your head is too small then
you're not fulfilling the Mitzvah at all
and that's why recommended that people
put on the
uh the Rashi first complete the uh the
uh what you need to do with Rashi which
is at least the
the uh and but ideally you should finish
the
entire and then put on the once you put
on the you do the part uh all the way up
until the where you start the don't do
the part all the way until there that's
what you do but again this is for
married men married men it's not for
children it's not for single guys uh and
uh and that's about it but obviously
there's many many other laws uh this is
just the and uh you know in a quick
couple
minutes why are methods like and tumim
and lottery for the division of the land
used if in thear there
exist
what why are there methods like and the
lottery for for division of the land
used if in the there exists the idea of
a ah okay
so decides to communicate with us in
different
ways the rambam in his commentary uh on
it's
called Uh in there there's a believe is
in chapter 7 uh he talks about the
different levels of
Prophecy uh the distinguishing
difference between uh mosenu and Isaiah
and all of the other prophets that
followed he gives a teachings about
prophecy and in essence over there he
talks about different forms of
communications that Hashem had
then you have a a but is usually a
certain statement of some kind but then
there is
also it's another way that hasem
communicates to certain people uh
the were not that form of communication
the were generally questions that you
would ask uh you have to have a you have
to have
a with
the uh that has the whole suit on and is
obviously a
time with time of the mikash so time of
the you couldn't
have
secondly were used usually for going to
war to know whether we are uh uh you
know we need to go to war or not because
there are different Wars there is a war
of
mitvah which is hasem commanded us to go
do it like for example in this week's P
hasem commanded us to go and kill the
midianites unlike the other places that
we fought other other uh armies that we
fought other nations that we fought in
the Tor this mil this war against the
midianites is unique because hm
commanded us not only to go to that war
which means it becomes obligation just
like you know keeping Shabbat just like
eating kosher it's an obligation for us
to go and fight this war but on top of
it one distinguishing Factor about this
uh uh uh War war with the midianites is
that he told us to kill them to
completely annihilate them whereas the
other nations that we fought he told us
to strike them and the difference here
is that the kazal explains to us that
the reason why hasem says to annihilate
to kill the midianites whereas the
others just simply to defeat them is
because the midianites caused us to sin
and a uh the the says and the mishna uh
say in the name of I think it was in the
name
of that someone that causes you to sin
is worse than someone that would kill a
person so the fact that the midianites
uh caused us to sin is worse than other
nations that wanted to kill us or even
Nations that killed us the same concept
goes today someone that causes people to
sin is worse than a murderer according
to the Torah because someone that kills
a person person he kills them whatever
status they're at if they're righteous
they go to heaven if they're Wicked they
go to gay and but he doesn't eliminate
their
ability to uh to do mitv uh to I'm sorry
he doesn't encourage them to make sense
he doesn't worsen their status doesn't
worsen their status whereas a person
that causes another person to sin like
for example a woman that's not modest
and therefore she causes other men to
look at her a woman that's promiscuous
causes men to make sins a uh a person
that sells uh non kosher food to Jewish
people a person that brings a missionary
to a synagogue a person that preaches
things that are against the Torah these
are
all they cause the public to sin they're
considered worse than murderers
according to the Torah and that's why
told us to go and destroy the midianites
whereas when it came to the other
nations we fought he didn't tell us to
destroy them he told us to strike
so
the were used not
for but
rather which is we have an obligation to
go to war with this particular Nation
but as far as when we don't know this
that is also and then there's
a which is the war for for for survival
if somebody attacks us and then there's
also War for the sake of money meaning
if let's say for
example was struggling and they needed
food and the only way to get food is to
take it from The Other Nation they don't
want to sell it to us then we're allowed
to go to war with them so there's
multiple different types of Wars the
were used for usually for this
particular purpose uh the B was usually
uh made uh you know in a um it was
unplanned you know the was planned it
was the Coen Gad involved uh there was a
uh a certain level of
KES involved it's multiple things but
it's planned it's something that's done
in a certain structure you follow
instructions the but just comes
out it just Hashem decides to have a
echo of his voice come into the world
and make a certain statement like he
made in the where uh there was a
between hos and the sages and a b call
came out from sh and said why are you
bothering my son don't you know that is
always like
him but to that the S said we don't
based
on so uh when they asked what say when
the sages responded with this response
that we don't based on but says
hmem loved it because he says my my kids
used my Torah to beat me meaning that
they they use this law the proper way it
was a test the point being is is that
there are different ways forh to
communicate with us depending on the
need depending on the time depending on
the
person it's sort of like for example if
let's say you have a executive of a
company okay executive of a company it's
easy to understand those people are
usually very very busy people but they
have to communicate with certain people
so the executive of the company if he's
uh talking to let's say for example his
clients clients of the company then he's
usually going to have a certain phone uh
that uh and a phone number for those
people to call and he's going to use a
certain phone to call them uh if he's
talking to uh his uh his his uh
assistants he could talk to them face to
face he could talk to them in uh
different uh that same line uh but if
he's talking to let's say his wife his
kids and he loves them and he wants to
uh make sure that they're not uh
thrown into his busy schedule and he
can't find out where they are he has a
separate phone for them he has a line
that is separate just for his family
just for his kids where he knows if that
phone rings it's important whereas when
the business phone rings it's not
necessarily always important it could be
a customer complaining it could be a
customer saying hello it could be
somebody trying to sell him something it
could be a lot of different things and
then he also has text message he has
text message and he has
email but the point is is that the
important person has different forms of
communication and he doesn't use the
same thing for everybody it all depends
on who it is when it is if it's in the
middle of the night then usually email
is going to be or text message if it's
in the middle of the day usually phone
and text message you know so and if it's
the weekend it maybe you have to meet
him personally point being is is that
the uh a person that communicates with a
lot of people but there is different
levels of importances is going to
communicate with them uh with different
ways based on that level of
importance communicates with his
children in different ways depending on
the level of importance depending on the
person depending on the
circumstance for the for the men killed
were attached what does that mean it
seems to sound as a uh modest way to say
relations but uh seems more severely
bound uh were these ones communicating
moral acts yes both so the say that they
were attached both they they were
attached not to the immodest woman but
they were attached to the
idolatry once they committed the sinful
act with the woman and uh that meant
that they already made the sinful act
with the uh the uh Idol and even though
it sounds foolish uh as soon as they
defecated uh they cre a
certain Spirit of impurity went on top
of them in essence they became attached
to this Idol they wanted to stay they
didn't want to
go so hence the reason why they got a
death
penalty can we still do puls on
uh is it possible sure it's possible but
it's not something that the
average knows you know certain
cabalists uh you know perhaps uh uh
would uh knows at least the text maybe
even the uh the strategy to do certain
things like that but it's not something
that you do uh for uh just an individual
purpose it's usually something that has
a national uh uh uh
uh it's something for it has to be for
the sake of the entire uh people of
Israel it can't be just for uh one's
personal preference or it can't be just
a regular rash it means it has to be for
the sake of saving the same thing with
all
ofal you're not allowed to use it for
your own personal reasons you're only
allowed to use it for the sake of the
nation and it comes at a very high price
people that usually typ deal with
kabalas seat they suffer a lot of
different
tragedies uh how should someone in the
conversion process approach spending
money for Shabbat and mitv uh it depends
on their uh it depends on their
financial circumstances if their
financial circumstances are good then
certainly they should get themselves
used to spending uh and being generous
forab and especially when it comes to
giving taka for the sake of publicizing
T because they're going to need as many
merits as possible uh and uh if they
have a nice Shabbat it's not really
going to be a big Merit for them because
they're not obligated to keep Shabbat
but if they have a lot of money invested
into helping other Jews do Chua that
certainly will go to their Merit where
they're Jews or Gentiles so the number
one investment that a gentile should
have is to help more Jews do chuva uh
but of course if they have the ability
to also have a nice Shabbat and and do
other mitv certainly they should be
generous with them
but it shouldn't be an expensive Shabbat
uh at the cost of uh less kiru being
done why did the minites hate am so much
that they went out of their way to hurt
the people uh that's because the uh Mas
the the the uh idolatry cannot coexist
in peace with the truth of hasem it's a
there cannot be peace between the
there's there's the spirit of uh tum
versus the spirit of Kusa so is Tora
that's idolatry is T they cannot coexist
in peace
and uh says that if you tell me that am
is is doing well and adom is doing uh uh
well I'm not going to believe you if you
tell me that am is is uh doing poorly
and AD is doing well I'll believe you if
you tell me that am is is doing well and
AD Dom is doing poorly then I believe
you why because they uh they cannot
coexist coexist in peace cannot coexist
in
peace Rabbi took a vow to contribute
predominantly to widows and orphans and
build
schools uh is it wrong to encourage
others to do the
same uh yeah I mean it's as far as to
mainly contribute to help widows and
orphans and build schools is a very nice
thing but it's not the most profitable
for the sake of of mitv uh the most
profitable for the sake of mitv is
public more to and helping people do
chuba that's the most profitable
investment that a person can do uh you
could you have to believe me you could
look at
the uh he writes itak writes it a
thousand years ago uh it's mentioned in
countless places across the board and a
person needs to look at theira like a no
different than they look at their
investments in real estate or stocks or
businesses people don't invest in
something because they like it they
invest it because they has the most
potential so if you have let's say for
example you know uh uh two different uh
buildings that uh uh you know that you
want to buy one is in the middle of uh I
don't know it's in the middle of
Arkansas and your next door neighbor is
a uh a pharmacy and the next door
neighbor on the other side is a farm and
then the other building is in the middle
of uh some uh you know uh you know some
city which is up and coming and uh you
you have you know different buildings
being built across one has the
opportunity to go up maybe 3 or 4% a
year the other one has an opportunity to
go up maybe 50% 60% over the next couple
years because of what's happening in the
area now even if you like the one that
has a farmer next door and the pharmacy
that's going to go up 3% you're not
going to invest there why because if
you're a clever person you're going to
invest where you can make more
money same thing when it comes to
investing into stocks or businesses if
somebody says listen we sell uh these uh
products and uh we could uh make you uh
5% 10% a year great thank you very much
another guy says to you listen I have a
new technology that already has the CIA
the FBI and uh the uh uh the other parts
of uh the government as our customers
already meaning it's a proven product
and the government is a customer the
government doesn't change uh consumers
often uh I mean vendors often and on top
of it we're growing we're doing really
really well that's our business and
we're uh we're innovating the world
great what do you expect to be we're
expecting to grow 50% a year maybe even
a 100 now a person that evaluates those
two Investments is not going to waste
more than 5 Seconds deciding that the
second one that I mentioned is the
better investment why it not only has a
proven product but it also has a much
greater potential the first one sounds
nice maybe for somebody else but not for
you why because you have both options
same concept when it comes to MIT when
it comes to MIT even though helping the
poor and the uh the orphans uh is is a
very nice thing to do uh and certainly
we do we help poor people every week
every week we send money to help poor
people we have a huge amount of money
that we've sent millions of dollars
we've sent over the years to help poor
people in Israel the primary focus that
or organization has is has always been
to publicize more to do more lectures to
do more films to have
more to publicize more and to help more
people do CH and the reason why is
because the investment there is much
much higher so I'm not saying to ignore
uh the poor people certainly you should
help some poor people and some orphans
but to make that your uh predominant of
your investment is not a good investment
in comparison to K it's simply not and
it's again it's not my opinion because
I'm doing it it's opinion of D you ask
any real that could bring you sources 5
Seconds they'll tell you that uh uh what
you're doing is a mistake uh in
comparison to helping people do Chua now
unfortunately many people don't realize
how great uh the uh helping people do
Chua is until they read the and they
read uh
the he wrote about it they read about it
and they understand that there's
literally nothing greater than that
there's it's it's it's to how people do
chuva
is even higher than helping people
learn we try to do everything but the
primary focus has always been to help
people do
cha uh is it a good thing that ishma is
taking over a dome and what does the say
about regarding the coming of
mashia uh is it good that he's taking
over a do there is no good or bad
there's prophecies that tells us what's
going to happen at the end of times at
the end of times that adom and is are
going to go to war with each other there
going to be a horrific War where
two-thirds of the world is going to die
in a very short period of time after
they go to war with each other they're
eventually going to stop fighting and
then both are going to attack Israel uh
and blame Israel over it some prophecies
say that uh Isel is going to take over
the land of Israel for nine
months uh and before mashia comes uh but
that doesn't necessarily have to happen
but needless to say the uh the war
between adom and Ismael it's there's
nothing good or bad it's just a reality
it's like saying the sun came up yeah
it's expected that's because hem
says the Tora says that this is what's
going to happen that's what's
happening okay they have
uh is buying kosher me online a reliable
uh way to get kosher food uh that
depends who you're buying from uh if
you're buying from a uh company that has
good uh you know they sell stuff that
has good supervision then yeah no
problem uh but if you're buying it from
this you know you know some Discount
Store nobody's ever heard of uh then you
know it's you have to double
check it all depends on who is the rabbi
is overseeing it what what kind of he
they sell
if you're Safari it has to be if it's me
it has to be
bet uh uh but uh you know if if you're
you're buying a uh uh chicken then it's
a uh uh you know it's there's a lot of
different e there's different levels
depend depends on the depends where you
are in the
world uh if a man who raped a single
woman is kept alive so that the woman he
defiled would have some someone to marry
what happens
if if the woman doesn't want to marry
him would he be killed if he raped a
woman no no no there's a the man is the
woman is not going
to uh marry a man that raped her this is
a uh mistake that people make they think
that if somebody just raped a woman uh
then she has to marry him no no this is
somebody entier entier and raped are
completely two different things
uh man marri you know uh uh the Torah
says that if if he you know went to the
field and she screamed and no one was
able to answer uh that's uh a person
he's considered like he murdered her no
that's that's not the same thing as
somebody enticing a Woman by you know
enticing her enticing her by you know
fooling her or uh or whatever convincing
her to do things that are bad and then
she realized that she shouldn't have
done it that's that's what you know
there two different things uh so if he
took her virginity away without being
married then certainly he uh has to
marry her if she wants to marry him if
she doesn't want to marry him then uh
then he's you know he goes away but uh
but that's not if he raped her it's not
if he raped her it's two different
things and light of a student not
pronouncing Al in front of his teacher
how did come to teach
Moshe about the way he judged judged uh
very good question well wasn't giving
him he wasn't telling him what the law
is he was telling him guidance based on
what uh he saw that mosenu was judging
the way judging the people in a certain
fashion he told them you can judge the
people in a different way but go ask God
so he didn't tell him what to do he told
him go ask God if this is a good idea
whereas uh Pinas actually told M the
this is what the AL is you told us what
the AL is this is what it is so it's two
different
things uh
yeah oh well we answered all the
questions okay thank you very much for
uh learning with meem bless each and
every single one of you oh wait hold on
a second I have here
[Music]
I have no idea what that means I'm
sorry
uh that's too long of a question so
Milla
and that's not a
question okay
yeah
um okay next question If a woman is
about to be raped God forbid is she
allowed to kill the person 100% she's
allowed to kill the the person
yes somebody that's coming to rape a
woman is considered as if he's trying to
kill her so yes she's allowed to kill
him uh with no problem and um say she
shouldn't uh she shouldn't hesitate for
a second shouldn't hesitate for a second
she shouldn't you're not allow to be
merciful to vicious
people thank you very much for learning
with me has bless each and every single
one of you anyone that wants to support
all the things that the organization is
doing whether it's the free books and
the free CDs and the free everything
that we do or you want to help us uh you
know publicize more T help us with the
in you could sponsor an a uh in Israel
on our website.org in the store there is
opportunities to sponsor a
week a month two months of
each uh you could sponsor you could
certainly help us feed poor people that
we send money to each week there's a lot
of ways to support if you have the
ability then certainly uh you could uh
help us and you could help yourself by
doing so remember everybody there's a
fast Tomorrow there's a fast tomorrow uh
and uh it's a uh obligatory fast to
everyone that is healthy unless you are
pregnant or you are breastfeeding uh if
that then you don't have to fast but
everyone else that's healthy you have to
fast tomorrow uh obviously I'm talking
about Jews Gentiles don't have to fast
if you're in the process of conversion
you should fast um but uh as far as the
uh uh considerate practice though but a
uh and you can break it let's say 1
minute early or something like that uh
or break it at one point during the day
point being is there's a fast tomorrow
is a opportunity to get closer to Hashem
tomorrow andm we all do
