Phones and online games are not real social connection. Kids spend so much time staring at screens that face to face interaction feels overwhelming. At camp, without technology, some teens don’t even know how to be with friends. If this sounds exaggerated, you probably don’t have teenagers or don’t know what they’re doing.

will say, "I'm interacting with

there's quite a few friends that I have,

not the social healthy social growth
that people have. And I can tell you,
working in a summer camp, when kids are
away from the technology, some of them

and all the need to to be with friends

much for them. They don't know. If

thinking that this is an exaggeration,
they either don't have teenagers or they
don't know what their teenagers are
doing.
