Peretz Eichler Takes to the Streets about Illegals Driving Licenses in NJ

[Music] hi everybody parents be Iker with Straight Talk America news briefs right now there's a bill being introduced in the New Jersey State Assembly by Union County Democratic assembly woman Anette kyanos and the good assembly woman is saying that it's high time that illegal immigrants be given valid driver's licenses she's saying that this will bring them out into the open they'll have to get insurance and um since they're driving anyway they might as well get valid driver's licenses so it could be legal because they're doing so much driving in the state of New Jersey and in other states as well and working so why not give them the opportunity to drive to work in a way that they don't have to be clandestine they can come out in the open some people are saying that's a little bit like raising the blood alcohol level to incriminate somebody that's an intoxicated driver and by raising the blood alcohol level therefore you'll be able to um prevent drunk driving well it sounds like somebody's intoxicated somewhere along the line here we want to give illegal immigrants the privilege of having a driver's license and somehow that's going to make the situation better well let's see what the man on the street had to say so what do you think somebody who is not yet an American citizen and is in the country legally should they be able to get a um the Sens yes why it's necessary in order for them to work or uh do you have a dri driver's license now no no do you drive yet but you drive yeah so do you think that it's it's it's important yeah but would you would drive in any case you would drive any no no no not in any case okay how about you you think it's important say no no not okay what do you think about giving people that are not yet citizens that are here illegally giving them privileges to drive they hear illegally uh I don't think they should have it I mean they hear illegally you know I mean that kind of like that sums it up I guess but they're going to be driving anyway so shouldn't we bring them out in the open and at least that way we'll know where they are and they'll be able to drive get them citizenship first that should be the first thing driving should be second citizenship is the first thing getting around should shouldn't even be a factor being here legally that's the main thing everything else second third fourth and fifth so you would feel uncomfortable if you know that people who were not citizens were getting driver's licenses I mean yeah I mean think about it let's let's say for example they get into an accident or they hit somebody and kill somebody out of 10 what happen is they going to get sent back to where they from they like no penalties going to happen to I'm not saying that I want something to happen like that I'm just saying uh you know I would rather somebody be here legally first and then get the license what do you think about the idea that they're passing legislation or pass trying to pass legislation to give driving privileges licenses to people that are illegal immigrants is that a good idea well obviously it's not a good idea uh somebody who's not documented should not have the Privileges of having driver licenses or any other uh official documents for that matter I I would say that when Mexico allows they're undocumented to have uh the Privileges that they would like to seek in our country then I think maybe we could consider it but until then I don't think it's a good idea no what do you think about giving drivers licenses to Legal immigrants I'm a convicted believer that if there is no benefit to becoming a legal citizen such as being able to get a driver's license that individuals will never become legal citizens they'll simply work under the table and be taken advantage of in that way as a professional driver I don't like my industry being compromised by individuals who are able to take away jobs from Americans for lesser wages simply because they're undocumented I don't believe registering them with a uh driver's license is going to all of a sudden lead them to become a full and Cooperative citizen in the country just gives them a job it's the best idea you know the economy is going to grow up you know the little sheeps want to sell more more cars you know the people's going to be drive safe on the streets you know because they want to have insurance and license or something happen you want to know who is driving you know
