Welcome to this week's Torah lesson.
This week's Torah portion is Parshas
Shoftim. The question of the week is,
what is the most important part of our
life that we have to protect? So, in
this week's Torah portion we have where
it says, "Shoftim v'shotrim titen l'cha
b'chol sh'arecha." Judges and officers
you should put by all your gates. So,
the question is what gates we're
referring to?
So, the Rebbe explains and he brings
from Sefer Yetzirah that every single
person's body has seven gates. Two ears,
two eyes, two nostrils, and a mouth.
Through that, that's where we connect to
the world, which is connected to
powerful letters that the
Sefer Yetzirah says, "Beged Kafaros."
Beis, Gimmel, Daled, Chaf, Pei, Reish,
Tav. These are double letters, and
that's the part that connects us to the
world. We We bring from ourselves out to
the world and we bring into us a world
into ourselves. And that's the part that
we have to go ahead and establish
protection to make sure that only good
is going out and only good is going in.
So, the answer to the question, what is
the most important part of our life that
we have to protect? Our ears, our eyes,
our nose, our mouth. To make sure we
bring in only blessings, we share
blessings, and then we will have the
greatest blessings of
connecting to the the blessings of
Hashem and only have powerful positive
things in our life.
