Parsha in the Park - when you don't get the mitzvah you want

Good morning, welcome to Portion of the Park. This week is Portion of the Park by Lo Scar. Last week it was a parsha Nasso in which 12 leaders of the tribes brought offerings at the inauguration of the Mishkan of the Tabernacle. And if you look at those 12 tribes, you'll see we had the tribe of and Manasseh. We did not have the tribe of Levi. And Aaron the Cohen, who was from that tribe of Levi, was very despondent that he wasn't able to participate. Hashem said, "Don't worry, I got a special mitzvah." And this week he gets the mitzvah of lighting the menorah. And it's a mitzvah Hashem said better than all the other offerings. Going to contrast that with Korach who appears in a couple of weeks in the Torah. He is also from the tribe of Levi and his cousins got different mitzvahs for transporting the items that were part of the Mishkan, the Tabernacle. He was very upset that he wasn't included.
