Welcome to this week's Torah lesson.
This week is paras
and the question of the week is what is
the spiritual healing process. So in
this week we have a double Torah
portion. We have the Torah where the
prophet
says heal mem and I'll be healed. So the
question is asked what's
this? The double healing.
So the Reb explains and he says that
before this what does the verse
say that we forsook the source of the
living waters. What does the idea of the
living waters? That living waters is
when we're connected to Hashem by
learning to and doing mitzvah. When a
person learns to you connect to Hashem
the living waters when you do a mitzvah
you're connected to the to Hashem
through the mitzvah. When you're
disconnected, when you're not learning
to you're not doing mitzv now you need a
healing. So comes along the prophet and
says what does that mean? Normally you
heal yourself. How do you heal? By
staying connected to the living waters.
By learning Torah and doing mitzv what
happens sadly when you disconnect from
the source. You're not learning Torah.
You're not doing mitzvo. Then you have
to turn to Hashem and you say to Hashem
for any Hashem, Hashem, you have to heal
me because I need help. I'm not
connected. I got disconnected. And once
Hashem connects you, then you can go
ahead and do your process of learning
Torah and doing mitzvah. So the answer
to the question, what is spiritual
healing? So standard spiritual healing
is learning Torah and doing mitzvah. But
sadly when a person is so sick where
you're disconnected from Hashem then you
have to first pray to Hashem that Hashem
should send the healing that we should
be inspired to learn to do mitzvo and
then we continue learning and that
finishes off the healing. Thanks so much
for joining us for our weekly Torah
lesson. This week's Torah lesson is
dedicated to the memory
of may the souls be elevated by the
Torah we're studying in the memory. For
