Parashat Bechukotai: Is There Eternal Suffering?

we have lot of good news lot of things happening um all the efforts we've uh put over the last few years are starting to materialized the um one of the students in uh France who's a uh uh web developer and uh much amazing is uh decided that he's building us a website and uh the the organization we started called be it's a nonprofit organization it uh it's actually uh we're launching the website uh either later tonight or uh tomorrow beautiful so you go to be.org and you see all the sh uh we're also going to have um articles that I wrote over there have uh different short clips long private business owner wants to make invoices instead of getting this big software and everything else you could just go on your application download the application fill out a couple of uh bits of information of what your company does make an invoice on the spot it's brilliant so so mayem bless him bless his family bless his children that he has one of them is already giving in the in France coming out next week uh it's going to have 30 hours of shim uh combination of both long and short shim because there's some short clips that I do the audio so uh there is a going to be a lot of in there for anyone that wants to listen it's only that's great they could listen to in the car right listen to in a car and uh the biggest thing about it is that it's it's CU because as you can see CD serve Gods the handiwork of man of wood and of stone which do not see and do not hear and do not eat and do not smell so here we see that not only did we go to a place far away from the Homeland far away from Israel but we got worse we went from bad to worse but even in that really really really bad condition surrounded by idol worship surrounded by Christianity surrounded by Catholicism surrounded by Buddhism and Islam and all the garbage of the world even there even in places like India where they worship cows and they literally have cow urine that they drink every day as as a form I'm dead serious this is you know what you know why I say these things is because people need to understand how grateful you need to be for being Jewish I am do you understand what I'm saying like if looking to feel hem looking to connect with hem hm promises you you look for me you find me so in this week's par we're going to read a lot of difficult things but it's very important to always from the house a good foundation from the house which is the reason why the parents take responsibility but once they reach that age they become official adults the boy at 13 every sin that he makes after that is up to him now the yet knows that the sins don't count so he doesn't bother with them too much so he doesn't attack the boy or the girl too much he doesn't work too hard on them here and there he uses them to bother the parents but overall he doesn't work very hard that's why you see most kids are pretty good once in a while you have a little rotten kid but one but overall most kids pockets so when I arrive to regular land at least I'm going have some money maybe I'll put some money towards key roof towards the CDs and you're enjoying yourself you're eating you're drinking everything is great until all of us a sudden somebody grabs your shoulder hey what are you doing here and puts you in handcuffs and throws you in jail and then you arrive in front of the judge and he said your honor this man robbed my house came to my house stole diamonds stole food what are you going to say to the uh judge your honor I didn't see anybody so I didn't think anybody was there I didn't think it belonged to anyone so what's the the judge is going to say to you you fool you really thought that all that fresh food is served by itself and all those diamonds just got there by themselves and that big beautiful brand new Castle stayed clean and was built by itself it's not an excuse guilty of WLAN says same thing with a man man arrives to this world two possibilities one you can have good foundation in the beginning with a good head start and the Really starts working really really hard right after B mitz and many people that in today's age even after they have Yesa education unfortunately some of them fall off the and become more difficult to help them do chv than anyone else much more difficult than even someone that's an atheist because they think they know to make kids why are some couples not able to bring children to the world it's a multi-billion dollar industry of people try to go to doctors with special treatments just to have kids and they're not able to so if the world was really you know created by this genius perfect creator with a purpose there can't be any mistakes so if some people don't have kids that means that the purpose of the world is not to have kids it's good to have kids mitvah it's the first mitvah we have in t that's not the purpose of the world if it's to eat then why are there hundreds of thousands of people that die in Africa every year from lack of food or water what they're not his creations of course they're his Creations if it's money why is the vast majority of the world below average if you make over $300,000 a year you're in the top 1% income bracket in the entire world 300,000 is a lot of money but no one really thinks that if they make 300,000 they're the top 1% in the world people usually consider top 1% is like a guy that makes millions no if you make 300,000 you're top 1% of the entire world which means that the vast majority of the world is not even close to even making average uh income in America average income in America is much higher than the rest of the world so obviously if there's so many poor people world wasn't created for money so hasem tells us here it's obvious at some point or another that there has to be a Creator to the world it's has to be obvious to someone that this Creator must have given instructions and if someone looks for me they'll find me in one place that's called the Torah those instructions are the Torah and this is what the Torah says about for if you will follow my decrees and observe my Commandments and perform them then I will provide your Reigns in their time and the land will give its Pro and the tree of the field will give its fruit that's the first couple of verses of the of the Shem is telling us if you follow my decrees which means if you learn my Torah cuz you need to know what to do what's my my decrees my decrees is T if you learn my Tor why and observe my Commandments you're going to learn it so you know what to do once you know what to do you're going to learn it that's you're be able to observe it but not just learning and picking and choosing he says and perform them meaning take everything on whatever you know you do of course to learn the entire Tor in one day is not going to happen take time to learn to but someone needs to understand that hasem did not say listen you can do half the you have few you don't like this one okay don't do it you don't like that one okay don't don't do it he didn't say that he said you have to follow and do everything everything you know you need to do and it's your responsibility the first thing that he says is to know so you can't say oh you know what it might as well not know you know if it's better for me not to know then I don't have to do no he says the first commandment want it and hasem doesn't answer their prayers they don't get the brand new car and they pray for a month two months three months hm did not give them the car but then one day something happens and they need to come up with the same amount of money that they would have needed for the car let's say $50,000 for Shalom some type of major issue is a medical need or uh a uh somebody in the family needs help something and all of a sudden with a little bit of prayer 5 minutes prayer the money shows up one way or another hasm makes it all show up so the guy thinks to himself he like wait a minute the car I pray three months two hours a day nothing but my family needed some money same amount of money even more actually 5 minutes the money shows up we see it in this it's in there time he says when you're going to need it not necessarily when you're going to want it when you need P you can rely on him if you do what he says you can rely on him no problem he gives it to us even when we don't do what he says but obviously if we do what he says he's making a promise you're going to get it exactly when you want it exactly when you need it and that's the main thing that people need to understand in regards to parasa is that when you pray for p you have to give AEM a reason to give youa if you're spending all of your money on clothes and food uh that's uh you know whining and dining and pleasures of this world fine you're allowed to enjoy this world but that doesn't really give hasem a uh extra reason to give you extra you're just wasting your you know your money you're not really doing anything with it but when you contribute your money toward its things that are good things that are fulfilling his will fulfilling what he wants done in this world people learning Torah people surviving people doing what they need to do then if you do that he's going to end up giving you not only for that but also for the other things that you want to do specifically in the time that you do it so now he tells us all of these different amazing blessings he says that uh you you know if you do all of what I say your threshing will last until the Vintage and the Vintage will last until the your sewing you will eat your bread to and you will dwell securely in your land so why is you know okay so I can understand when he's talking about threshing will last until the Vintage and the Vintage will last about the sewing he's pretty you know what kazal is explaining here is that when Hashem is going to give you he's going to give you more than enough meaning that by the time you finish your good let's say you have a store you finish selling the goods for this season all the brand new stuff that you have you're never going to you're not put it this way in so many words if you're selling let's say if you're in in this example is like a uh um vegetables things of that nature he says that the old things that you have will sell for more than one season meaning in so many words that the old will become the new the old the better the older your quality the older your uh fruits and vegetables are the more they going to be a demand meaning hasem is going to change nature in essence when you have an apple apple gets old you throw it out you don't want to keep it but he's saying that you're going to have so much you're not going to be able to sell it fast enough but don't worry why because even the things that are old that's the ones that people are going to want they want the old old one they don't want the new one so to make sure that you have all this Pala then he says that whatever Pala you have you're going to be satisfied with it you're going to eat your bread to say you're going to have whatever you whatever you need you're going to have you're always going to be full and last but not least he says and you will dwell securely in your land meaning you're going to stay in your land you're not going to have a uh desire to to uh run around travel go to this place to that place you're going to do whatever you need to do exactly where you are you're going to be in a community you're going to be with your family you're not going to have a desire to travel anywhere now when you think about it why is that a good thing people usually like to travel they like to go to Australia to Mexico to this place Bahamas I don't know to all these different places and they want to go to do all these things now the explains this the people that are looking to travel are usually because they're bored they have nothing to do and for them to sit idle to just sit there drives them crazy so they seek amusement and stimulation so they travel in order to get the stimulation in order to uh be happy but what ends up happening is that they end up losing their discipline of home and routine and community and F fall further from Hashem because by going out of the routine out of the community out of the usual it increases the danger of sin and they also say that it has bad effects it could have bad effects on the body but you see in today's world people work the whole year just to make sure that they take a PES vacation or some holiday vacation to go away for two weeks people will spend all of their savings just to take one big vacation but here hasem says that if you're really blessed you don't need a vacation where do we see it we see it with we see it with people that are really really deep in the Tora for people like that to take a vacation is suffering it's the opposite for them to leave their house and even go to the store foret going to a vacation in Australia or in I don't know any of these places but to go out of there out of learning toah for them is suffering they rather just sit open the Tor learn more and more and more because with each bit of learning they get closer to Hashem so you see this two opposites what's the answer answer we see the closer we are to Hashem the more we want and way the one major way the main way to get close to Hashem is through is to so if to have this blessing is by learning his Tora and therefore you're not going to necessarily need anything it's not a sin to travel don't get me wrong it's not a sin to go on vacation it's just that it tells you where you stand if someone has a desire that they need to go somewhere every single year they should know that they're not exactly at the highest level that they can be they can get better and it's worth it amen he says I'll provide peace in the land and you'll have no one to be afraid of no one no sword will cross your land uh you'll pursue your enemies five of you will pursue 100 and 100 of you will pursue 10,000 it says if you have an army and someone wants to uh you want to fight someone five of your soldiers will be able to kill 100 and if you have 100 soldiers they'll be able to kill 10,000 even a higher ratio and here kazal is explaining to us that you know technically 5 to 100 is a 20 20 to1 but 100 to 10,000 is 100 to one this shows us the power of unity when am is isit and and together they have much more power lastly as part of the blessings he says My Sanctuary will be among you the spirit will not reject you I will walk among you and I will be a god unto you and you will be a people unto me I am Hashem your God who took you out of the land of Egypt from being their slaves I broke the staves off your yoke and I led you erect he's telling you here you do everything I want there's no end to the blessing that you're going to get but this is about 10 verses discussing the blessings but if we look at the curses that follow which is from verse 14 to 43 it's 30 different verse uh verses talking about the details of the curses so the Ezra they asked them why is it that for blessings we only have 13 or 10 verses and for curses we have 30 I mean should shouldn't it be even 30 and 30 10 and 10 he says the blessings each one of them is very very general the rain can mean many things can mean Pala can mean actual physical rain means multiple things the uh uh you know and each one of the blessings that we get is a very general vague blessing whereas the curses are very detailed specifically tells us what is going to happen if we don't do what he says and he says the reason why hasem did it Ian says is because blessings as far as good we don't really understand what good is most most of us think that the things that are bad for us are good just like the rambam says the things that are bad for us we think they're good things that are good for us we think they're bad on the other hand with the curses Hashem gave a lot of details cuz we could understand bad people understand suffering they heard someone that they know someone in their family shom got sick sick lost money died and so on there's no end to the suffering of so people understand bad and he says that hasem had to put the details of the bad in order to create in order for people to be afraid so they don't do it because if you gave them no details on the bad say it's General maybe that's only relevant to what happens in not in America maybe that's only happens if someone is at a certain level no he has to give you specific details of every single thing to know everyone's included no discounts so before we get to these difficult part of the curses we have to understand what's going back to the yet that we were talking about before who is this yet soal tell us that when hasem created the world he created the but he gave him a lot of power so much so that just like there's a there's the in essence the spiritual chair of hem which in one of thear they talk about how the size of it it said it's 500 light years of how big it is just the leg of it cuz said I'm going to go fight your guy says it'll take you 500 years just to get from the bottom of his chair to where his chair is got to fight you little person so people are foolish what can you do but hasem also created the same type of chair for the Satan he gave him gave him you know in essence the same type of power he's not AEM but you understand same type of power now this Satan was created from the beginning of the world meaning that he's older than all of us when you're older you have more experience he has more wisdom than us gar says he's smarter than all of mankind put together smarter than everyone as far as strength he says that he's so big you could go from the uh ground to the sky is how big he is you look all the way to the sky you can't see the top so he's stronger than all of us he's stronger he's smarter he's older he's more experienced says to hey you know he's bad and he and he's going against us how can we beat him so says tells I created the and I created a potion to kill him what is it Torah someone wants to kill the they must learn Tor so when someone understands the significance of Tor they at least have a Fighting Chance when someone doesn't know what to is they're going to look for other things they think oh no no I'm upset because this and this happened to me I'm in a bad mood because this and this happened to me I lost money because of this and this they always going to give an excuse of right certain things happen they're never going to look into the root real meaning of it and this is actually part of the reason of why we get punished for not looking for the real reason for not looking for AEM we are obligated to look for hem we're obligated to learn from Hashem we're obligated to look look for the truth so if we keep blaming the world around us oh no it's a bad president that's why there's a bad economy that's why my business lost money oh no it's a uh tough environment that's why my kid grew up and became a drug dealer you know all these different things that people make as the excuse of why things happen they don't realize everything is in the hands of Hashem but at the same token he he wanted to make the world an even playing field why did he want to make an even playing field because even the smallest mitvah in all of Judaism whatever Mitzvah we don't know really the size of each Mitzvah except the big ones that are the foundation of Judaism like Shabbat we know that because we know the punishment for not doing them not necessarily because we can understand how much reward we're going to get for them but even if you think about the smallest Mitzvah you can think of whatever Mitzvah let's say you want to eat an okay it's you made according to it says someone that enjoys anything in this world without a blessing is stealing from hem not good okay so you do that means you thinking hem definitely a blessing definitely a good Mitzvah you make a blessing after you leave the bathroom thank you hm all my body works perfectly okay these are mitzvas but not exactly big mitzvah that are creating a world they're mitvah to understand how big each mitvah is if you take the smallest mitvah the amount of reward that someone gets for that small Mitzvah is worth more than all the money in all of the world in all of history combined for the smallest Mitzvah so we don't have even have a concept of what we get for the big mitvah all those things we we have no concept of what good how much good we're going to get so the Satan says listen the reward is so big obviously I'm going to have to make it difficult if you forget it then you're not going to appreciate it so he's always going to try to interfere anytime someone is doing a mitvah he's always going to try to interfere you want to do all of a sudden this one's late this one's sick this one's busy at work this one got into a fight this one has a flat tire you know all types of different reasons of why people can't show up and that's oh yet someone wants to show up they find a way the point being is
