I'm staying at a hotel and they serve
breakfast. What can I eat at the
breakfast that they serve? Anything
that's in a closed container, breakfast
bars and things like that. They have the
OU or reliable hapture. Of course, one
can eat those. Sometimes they serve the
cereal, but they'll have it in a large
bin. There's no packaging, so one should
not eat it unless one confirms. One
should ask at the desk if they can see
the packaging that it came in and show
you the bag and it has the has a Hexure.
One should only eat those that have a
reliable Hexure. if they have a
container of milk. We assume in in
America that milk is fine. Regarding
using ceramic bowls and plates is that
you can use them cold for temporary use
as long as they're clean and using it
for cold cereal that's fine. If they
have an alternative though that you
could use plastic disposable then you
should. If they have cut up fruit, if
it's a small amount of fruit, then we
have a concern that maybe they used a
non-coosher knife that would make the
fruit problematic. However, if they have
many fruit, a whole platter of fruit,
then even if a non-coosher knife was
used, it would be nullified in the
majority and therefore you could eat the
fruit
