When it comes to kashrus concerns, you
are thinking about the tzibur, you're
thinking about the community. Did you have role
models that you picked that up from? As I said,
I was learning in Kollel Emek Halacha. The Rosh
Yeshiva was Rav Tuvia Goldstein, ZT"L, a very
prominent rosh yeshiva and a posek. One day,
he got a question, a really serious question,
and I said to him, "could I ask a question
respectfully?" Because, as rabbis we get
questions all day, but usually, a question,
you know, if a food is gebrokts, is not the
same if somebody's going to live or die. How
do you take it on your shoulders to make that
decision? And he told me three words that Chazalm
our sages, use, "Ki Lekach Notzarto," which means
if a person believes that what he's doing, he's
doing because that's what God wants him to do. So,
that's why he's here in the world. And I live with
those three words, I wouldn't say just every day,
I would really say every hour. There are some
tough days. Sometimes you would just say what
do I need this for? But then I remember what
my Rabbi said, "Ki Lekach Notzarto." If you
believe that that's why you're here,
then you do what you've got to do.
