Torah reading vs Shofar blowing

Why do we lain on Shabbos? Why aren't we worried that someone will carry a safer Torah? Someone will will carry safer Torah. We we we don't have a problem with that. One of the reasons there, we looked at this when we talked about uh safer Torah and laining on Shabbos, is that uh the people who do milah and the people who do laining are experts. >> [snorts] >> And we're not worried that an expert is going to do something which breaks Shabbos, they're going to lose it. We worried on Rosh Hashanah that a layperson is going to say, "Oy vey, I've got to blow this shofar, read this megillah, shake this lulav, and I don't know what I'm doing." But uh l- laining is only people who know what they're doing. Hopefully, although in my experience most of them don't.
