Your mazal your mazal is basically the hard drive, the heart that holds all your tikun in it. Whatever you need to do for your rectification, the mazal holds in it. And some people their mazal is to be very rich and they'll be rich. Doesn't matter what they do. And some people don't have the mazal to be rich and it doesn't matter what they're going to do. They're not going to be rich. And the mazal will determine almost everything in your life. Maybe some get more, some get less depending on their actions, depending on their but no such thing that you come to and you don't get nothing gives to wicked people. So to you he's not going to give. So what I want to explain today is the concept of that is called mazal and I'm not going to translate it to English because it sounds completely not connected opening your luck mazal is a whole different concept which really means what does it mean that your mazal is open I would rather call it that your mazal is active it's actually in some type of a motion it's not sleeping. When a person gets to that level that the mazal is fully activated, that person reached to his purpose. The sad reality is most people are not even close to their purpose. Most people are walking in circles. They don't know what they're doing, where are they going, no purpose. They don't even know what's the purpose. They don't even care about the purpose. Very few people are also are focused what's their purpose and they know and they bring themselves there and very few people are actually fulfilling their purpose and your purpose is everything you you do in your in your life and the sad reality that I look at people and I talk to people and keep people come to advice most people are not even in connection to their purpose because they're operating on what they think and what they want and what they've been told and what community they were raised in but they're not walking on the path path that they need to walk on far away from the path. And what's the result? Nothing works out. Seems like life there's no luck. Doors are closing in their face. Opportunities don't work out. Things don't work out. And another way is that the person is just unhappy. And there's unhappy because you have issues and you have financial problems or regular life struggles. And there's unhappy that doesn't matter what you're going to be given you're unhappy and that's another majority that most people are unhappy. Now of course the person will not look in the mirror and say I'm unhappy. Nobody comes and sits on their bed and says I wish I would be happy. I'm miserable. It comes about in a completely different way. You are impatient. People annoy you all the time. People talk to you. You don't you don't want to listen. You are aggravated. So you're unhappy. Now you blame it on the entire world. You blame it on your wife, on your husband, on your boss. The fact you don't have money, everything that goes wrong in your life. That's what you blame it on. But really, your sama is screaming, "I'm unhappy." Because I know people that don't have nothing in their life, and they're happy. The happiness doesn't depend on how much money you have and if you're married or not and if things work well in your life or not. If that's the measure of what makes you happy or not, then unfortunately you're in a very bad place. And I live in one of the most poorest cities in Israel in spat. Most of the people there are poor, but most of them are also Torah scholars, but poor. For the ones of you who follow me and and kind of know what I do, you probably know that we support probably about five six hundred poor families in when we do all these campaigns and prayers in in what you participate in. That's what we're doing. We're supporting hundreds of poor families in most of them are are the men are Torah scholars. But why am I saying that? You don't see people unhappy. You don't see people walking in the street depressed. the contrary. You see people happy there. When I first moved to Israel, there was one guy that every time I would see him, first of all, he would ride a bike. Guy looks like in his 40s, like a an electric bike that costs, I don't know, $200. He always smiling, driving with his bike. And every time he would pass me, he would wave to me. I don't even know who it is. He would wave to me. I would wave back. One time we engaged into a conversation. How are you? And after a few minutes he's like, "Sorry, I'm cutting you off. I got to run to the bank. The bank is about to close in a few minutes." Okay. Nobody's holding you. And then he starts telling me how he has like a 200,000 shekele debt in the bank and he has to go to the bank and gives him some some excuses. And I'm like, "You have a 200,000 shekele debt in the bank and you're driving your bike all happy? He says, "Of course I'm happy." So, how can you be happy? He says, "Cuz it's not 400." [laughter] So, instead of whining that it's 200, he's happy that it's not 400. 400 is much harder to pay. 200 I can deal with. Lack of money, lack of a spouse, or lack of anything in your life causes you to be unhappy. You have a problem. So, that's why we're here tonight to solve problems. So the first and most important thing you need to understand that the state that you want to reach that your mazal is active it means that you're on the path of your purpose. So by default you wake up in the morning happy and motivated. When was the last time you woke up in the morning fully motivated, energy high, not tired and not when? Be honest with yourself and you can raise your hand if you did it in the last I don't know three years >> this morning. >> Yeah. What? We have a winner. >> 300 people. One guy picks up his hand. How many times in the month, how many days of the month you wake up very happy, very motivated, very excited for a new day. Most of you can't say it happened to me in the last 5 years. We have a few angels here that are probably on their path. So life is good. It all depends on your how you look at everything to determine life is good or not. So first of all activating your mazal and your mazal is activated right means you are on the path of your purpose. It doesn't mean that you achieved your purpose because that means you're going to die. A person is done with the purpose is that they die. But you're on the path of your purpose. Now, how do I get there? Talk is very cheap. How do I get to a point that I can activate my mazal and my mazal is fully activated and shea just comes down unbelievable abundance. And I know for the most people when you say the word shea or blessing, it's translated right away to money. That's most people. Shea can be just your health that you're healthy. Most people are not really healthy. They have some type of a medical issue. Some it's extreme and many it's just something small. Tooth issues, skin rashes. It's all just little. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why are you accepting being not healthy? We're not going to get to that conversation right now. It's what you eat. It's what you It's everything. But when a person is aware of what's going on, like I told you before, the shepher is not measured in something necessarily physical like money. I measure blessing and if I'm happy or not and if I have good relationship with my wife or not and if I have good communication with my wife and my kids and I don't have to work too hard for my parasa. And don't get me wrong, my life >> [snorts] >> join me for one week, you're not going to be able to hold one day with me. The the speed of my life. I mean, my life is very extreme to a point that if you really follow me, you know that everything that I do comes with disasters. Wherever I go, disasters, you know, I every time I go, earthquakes, tsunamis, airports closing down, flights miss, my life is It's exciting, by the way. Don't get me wrong. Very exciting life. There's no dull moments. >> I sleep standing up sometimes, eat on the floor, pray on highways. It's like, it's a very exciting life. It's not a boring life. But Hashem spices up my life. People think I'm just sitting all day long with my books of Torah and enjoying the wisdom of God. come to visit me one life I have seven kids that's enough all under the age of 20 that in itself is 26 hours a day attention to seven kids and then I have a wife and then I have thousands and thousands of followers that call me and text me and WhatsApp me and sometimes to come from point A to point B you know my sh where I teach is 50 m from where I live takes me 4 hours to get from the my dorm to where I teach. WHY? EVERY SECOND. RABBI. OH, I CAN'T BELIEVE I SEE YOU. I was planning on doing some underground tunnel from my house to the building. [laughter] But why am I saying that? With all the chaos, the positive, everything is positive. With all that chaos, that doesn't changes if I'm happy or not, if I'm in a good mood or not, if I'm motivated or not. And I deal with a lot of things and all areas. I just made a joke. A wife, kids, just being a father and a husband. That's that's enough because you need to support seven kids. It's not I'm not I my bills don't get paid. People think that somehow the electricity company called me and tell me Rabbi Anava, you don't have to pay electricity anymore. I pay electricity and gas and all the things that you pay. I have seven tuitions to pay. what you do, I do the same. But I work very little. I don't have much time to work. I work for Hashem. So I have very little time for my paranas. But the big question is how do you achieve this level that you want to get? How do you put yourself on your path that you feel that your mazal is just throwing a new shea? How how do you do it? If you're concerned with things in this world, then it's already a problem. You need to look to a spiritual level. And like I told you, the spiritual mazal is your purpose. Because your mazal will hold in it the DNA of your purpose. Whatever you need to do in this world, your mazal is already prepared for you. If you need to do some type of a rectification with helping people in a certain way, then maybe your male will be that you end up being a doctor or a nurse or a dentist or something in that field. Why? Because that's your tikun. And I'm giving you one example of many. Basically, your mazal holds all your tikun, everything that you need to do. Why? Because Hashem says, "Listen, I'm going to send you down to this world with a mission to do. I'm not sending you with no supplies. Here's the supplies. Use the supply. You will do whatever you need to do. And be careful, the supply is limited. Don't use it on nonsense. Most people take the supply and use it on nonsense. The supply that I'm talking about this is the energy the power that God gives you to wake up in the morning to move your hands. How can you move your body? God gives you the power. Without God giving you the power you can't do nothing. And really, in many of the cases, I do let people pay only for the reasons that people should be partners in what I do, not because I need it. There's a very interesting story. Okay, we're sidetracking a little bit, but it's important that you know that and I'm going to tell the story in a very short version because the story is long. But there was a certain sadik that he was supposed to do the mitzvah of redeeming a prisoner, a Jewish prisoner from the from a he did that. It's a long long long story. The Talmud says if one tear comes out of your wife poor is that man that got his wife to tear one tear and I know all the men ah she's annoying she's this she's demanding and her mother I also have a mother-in-law the tal says me skin poor is this man that will make his wife cry. And I know a lot of men are like, "Give her everything." I'm not too sure you give much. But nevertheless, first rule, put your head down. You know how to put your head down or in my terminology, shut up. You'll be very successful in life. Not only with your wife, you guard your tongue. All your problems is your mouth. So when you know how to close your mouth, I said it once, to say is very bad and very hard to say positive things is great. Not to say something at the wrong moment. And usually the temptation is that you can shut up. You just have to say it. If you guard your tongue, you all your problems is your tongue. So the first thing, that's why I say keep it quiet. Second date, I told her, "By the way, I'm out on bail and I have a trial in a year. I only have 49 counts on a federal indictment. We're looking at about 40 years, but I have bet which of course I had beton. But you know what? There will be a prosecution which means till I do complete chuva for that act, there's going to be a persecution from above for that action. And it's not a punishment. It's just how Hashem created things. You take now this godly spark, this power, this energy that God gave you to do something positive with it, and you directed that power to something negative. I think I know what it is. I have a worker that steals from me and since I'm not so happy with this stealing that every month that I pay him, I take off from the pay what he stole already. So the told him you're not allowed to steal from him. I know you there's a term I don't know how you say that in English. When you steal from a thief, you you are exempt. >> You know what you're exempt from? I know some people that it's they won't bring anything that is against the Torah close to them. So the part of the cha we understand. Now there's the last rule that we need to follow. Hashem tells you, "You take care of me and I'll take care of you." Very simple. You want a house? Who here wants a house? No one. Okay. One person, three. Yeah. You're very slow tonight. It's not that I I don't have a connection like you said the pipes are blow it's not up there. If you don't have money in your AT in your in your checking account, can you pull money from the ATM? No. So, if I'm coming out to an ATM, no money, no money, no money. What's the conclusion? >> There's no money in the account.
